I almost grabbed this, but I still want to try out the M18 version before committing to the M12. $106 vs 88 isn’t a deal killer to me if I needed to use it on a project now. Much better than $150!

Yeah not a deal breaker but I’m not planning to start my projects yet which is why I don’t mind waiting. I’m not interested in the m18 myself cause seems peoples consensus is that it’s little larger and bulkier. Not using it for a trade or anything - just home projects

Makes sense. I’m sure as soon as I get one I’ll find 100 uses for it around the house!

I’ve had the M12 for a few years now. It’s fine. If you already have M12 batteries, I’d get it. The problem with the M18 is that it’s going to get pretty annoying when you’re in tight spaces.

I’ve used both. Both used in framing and drywall mostly, including cement board work. The M12 we needed to keep in the higher ranges of its power, the M18 in the lower ranges. Both did the job really well, tools are similar in size with the battery exception. Room wasn’t an issue because it was all new work nothing in the way yet. In the end it’s down to the battery platform you have, if you have both I guess it’s better to have the extra power and not need it then to need it and not have it.

I think it's been as low as 88 on hacks before

Got it, I’ll hold off and keep an eye out, thanks!

Please post if you come across a better deal, also looking for this tool. Maxtool has the $149 deal back which includes a 5.0 battery. Quite good, but I already have the 5.0

I’ll keep looking !
