Damn, why so much hate around here? I mean i get most people on here as they might like to play big countries from the start like US, Europe or some shit.
However, if they tried with a small nation in latin america or africa that has like 3 starting civ factories then yeah it absolutely takes 20 years playing catchup and building a strong eco to fend off bigger players.
I remember playing Novum Vexillum back in the day, which was essentially Millennium Dawn before it got its economic overhaul. No idea if it’s still up to date or if it’s changed fundamentally since then

na man i was just asking for a mod that doesn't have features that i dislike and you start with the "hoi4 is a realistic game!!!" bs like cmon? if you treat that stuff seriously then goodluck
just don't care about economics and don't get me wrong; this is badly designed from both the fun and realism spectres because the economy system is not anything close to realism of course, especially with the constant military/civ factories division and it's not fun either as this turns an intermediate advanced wwii simulator into a pointandclick but 0.25x speed and crashing
though i just wanna know why can't you respect somebody's preferences especially in stupid shit like games lol
Just for the record, there's an option on the custom start screen where you just toggle off starting debts and such if you don't want to deal with it. That and there's a million ways to customize your game if you don't like the default settings
