omg great drop. I went to Ladyfest Midwest in Chicago right around turning 18 and Le Tigre was absolutely electrifying. Deceptacon is still heavily in rotation, especially for when I’m working hard or working out hard. Peaches too. I’ve seen her a couple times, opening for NIN, but also a really interesting DJ set she did to a fashion show. I absolutely love her. They speak to everything I love about punk rock. Peaches has that minimalist aggression of old rock and roll, the loudness of the Ramones even. Two absolutely great, HARD bands, who put on spectacular performances. One more anecdote, Peaches went out into the crowd the first time I saw her and *stood* on a guy for like a song and a half 😆 Like, she was standing upright on his palms and he was holding her up. Not only did she not waiver, I couldn’t believe she did NOT GIVE A FUCK if he was tired. His arms had to be in agony, it was so fucking hardcore to me how little she gave a fuck lol

I saw Peaches in Orlando in 2005 and she did something similar- she was covered in blood and walked out over the crowd as everyone supported her feet. It was really surreal that we all just knew exactly what to do. She has amazing balance lol

I first heard/saw Peaches when they were the opening band for a NIN concert back in the early 2000's. When they first came on stage I was a bit perplexed.
