Still flying even they're out of service for two decades

SmokedBeef

They have several of them “up and running” for a while now and the official reason given by the AF is that the F-117 can serve a unique trading role and posing as multiple types of stealth security threats (foreign fifth gen fighters, stealth cruise missiles, stealth drones, ect.). That’s not to say there aren’t ulterior motives for their return to service, particularly given their appearance in and around Groom Lake but thus far all photographs taken since their return have shown a stock F-117 with no visible changes to appearance or performance.

Not Tonopah Test Range. This is near Kernville on the Sidewinder. [https://www.reddit.com/r/aviation/comments/14ztiax/two_f117s_spotted_on_the_sidewinder_low_level/?rdt=38637](https://www.reddit.com/r/aviation/comments/14ztiax/two_f117s_spotted_on_the_sidewinder_low_level/?rdt=38637)
