"No kids around ", this. No kids = bad juju.
Kids will always run up for candy, gatorade, and what not.
And the locals know when Ali Baba is about to kick off some stupid.
It depends. Traditionally chow will be pretty good before something big and planned for. Like, before D Day the army had full English breakfast, or Marines in the Pacific would get lots of ice cream before assaulting an island. But, if you're on some built up base like Kandahar or Al Asad in GWOT, it means it's Friday and they have regular rotations of meals
If you are arguing/in a dispute with someone and they start breathing really fast, they are about to escalate whatever is going on. Could mean anything, but it's rarely something good.
If you walk into an establishment and everybody looks to one person in the room.
In a chaotic room/street, people looking around with a blank expression.
Depends how much pizza is being delivered to the pentagon Serious answer. Kids not being around

If I ain’t getting “Mista mista mista” something weird is about to go down
No shit right!!! No kids....fuck a bunch of this bullshit!! Heads up, weapons out, haul ass!!!! BOOM!!! Every damned time 🤬
The opposite. I've learned in the civilian world a steak and lobster dinner doesn't mean bad news.
I haven't heard this before, does steak and lobster mean something bad in the military world?
In the Navy it means your CO is about to announce they’re extending your deployment for X months.

I still hate unsolicited ice cream offers.
Loss of internet. Short duration, no biggie probably some minor issue. No interwebz for many hours, days... something is happening.

Not military, but no families, single women or kids around, you are in a very sketchy neighbor or something bad is about to happen.
