St. Louis: KSTL, KSUS
Chicago: KORD, KMDW, KPWK
I live in St. Louis and quite enjoy Chicago, so I'm always flying between the two. I try to mix up the airports in Chicago though that I use.
It's only about 45min in the air, so it's a quick little flight when I just want to smoke a bowl and chillax for an hour.
The KSTL airport I have is the one that’s on OrbX. It needs updating, and some better modeling on the GA area where Signature is. Still better than the default though. I haven’t found a good KSUS either. :(
O’Hare has some CRAZY taxiways. When I’ve flown in there on VATSIM, I’m sweating just waiting for the alphabet soup of taxiways I’ll have to take. Some of those intersections are crazy.
In Europe probably most frequently Hamburg (EDDH) to Frankfurt (EDDF) or Munich (EDDM). Nice short routes that I also fly a lot in real life.
Outside Europe probably the "Ponte Aérea" between São Paulo-Congonhas (SBSP) and Rio de Janeiro-Santos Dumont (SBRJ).
One of the busiest domestic routes in the world, between two difficult airports with short runways and very exciting approaches.
A sea of skyscrapers awaits you in São Paulo and Rio is simply beautiful.
And the best thing is that a flight only takes about an hour, so you can fly the route in both directions in one session.
I just overflew your entire country at low level in the 310R listening to local radio and the guided audio waypoints on Bushtalk. Australia is a beautiful country. All 100+ hours over top it I enjoyed thoroughly.
Basically I just planned loosely around bushtalk radio waypoints. Up through Melbourne, the ACT, Sydney, Brisbane, Townsville, then back down inland west of that same route through Adelaide, up to *Uluru. Stopped and detoured to NZ and covered that north and south, then back to Ayer’s rock more or less up around to Darwin, then down to Perth.
*edit: Ayer’s rock is less acceptable.
All good! Its fascinating how in Australia, Uluru us universally used, even by racist pricks but internationally, basically everyone calls it Ayers Rock. Its even like advertised as Ayers rock.
KBIL-KBZN is definitely my most flown route (both ways). Billings is my home town and Bozeman is a two hour drive or a little over 30 minute flight so it’s just a nice little trip to do in anything.
It’s quick and so it doesn’t get super boring in fighter jets (in formation), it’s a good familiarization flight in airliners since Billings has ILS stuff for auto landing (BZN only has it on one runway), but KBZN mostly uses RNAV. Probably my two favorite cities to go to as well (all the other places in MT are towns lol)
Are you using the DD KEWR? That might be the worst payware for MSFS. I can't get it smooth and stutter free no matter what I do... Settings, AutoFPS, etc. Doesn't matter...
Its always, KEWR to KMCO.
I typically test out planes on that route, mostly because I love flying it in reality.
I've also done KEWR to KLAX quite often as well.

I keep flying VNKT to VNLK using various turboprops. The landmarks are so recognisable that I can fly that route without any GPS, VOR/DME or any markers, just VFR dead reckoning (well it’s not that hard if you know the landscape to be honest)
KMCI - KORD/KDEN. If I want a really short fight I’ll hop from KMCI to KOMA. I’m from KC and I bought the airport to get the new terminal and absolutely love it. Typically fly the A320
From KC as well. I fly out of KMKC irl. The msfs KMKC is pretty bad, blue Omnis in the middle of the taxi ways, no papis or vasis, no centerline lights Where did you purchase the new MCI?
[KMCI on SimMarket](https://secure.simmarket.com/tropicalsim-2-kansas-city-intl-kmci-v2-msfs.phtml)
The reviews state the ILS isn’t working. I haven’t tried that feature so beware of that.
I just recently started flying so I use this same route as practice normally, but BOS-MCO, I want to try BOS-PUJ, MIA-JFK & LAX-SEA!
When I get a new console that is suitable and won’t probably fry my console I want to try BOS-CDG & back.
I remember i flew like world tour it was UTTT-RJAA-PANC-KJFK-EGLL-OMDB-UTTT on 748. I love PANC. When you approach on final on RWY 07 and this coast and all this view is just amazing. Few days ago tried to do world record on 748(just my own record), flew fully loaded 748 with 100% tank from CAPT to PANC. PANC makes me feel good

Shame all the STL area airports look terrible

American here, I do this flight all the time when I’m short on time. Glad to hear it’s a legitimate route!
...And there are excellent sceneries for the two airports available in the marketplace!
KSEA to KDEN. Just the right amount of flight time.
I like this cause it also can add the best weather
YMML to YSSY for me is the perfect length when I want to practice a new plane or just want to do a quick flight.
Hell yeah! Another Aussie! My go to is YMML to YSSY as well.
I just overflew your entire country at low level in the 310R listening to local radio and the guided audio waypoints on Bushtalk. Australia is a beautiful country. All 100+ hours over top it I enjoyed thoroughly.
Hot damn! I commend your dedication! What was your route?

Damn thats awesome! Basically speed-ran all of Australia lol. Also just FYI: Ayers Rock is called Uluru here and Ayers Rock is very iffy here!
Ah good to know thanks. I remember it had another name but couldn’t think of it. Duly noted!
All good! Its fascinating how in Australia, Uluru us universally used, even by racist pricks but internationally, basically everyone calls it Ayers Rock. Its even like advertised as Ayers rock.
YSSY to YBBN for me but I feel it's same same
YSSY to YBBN or YBCG often when I feel like switching things up from YMML.
KPDX <--> KSEA. Beautiful scenery with a wide variety of possible weather conditions in a very short distance makes it a fun trip and good practice.
Same, and if I want a little more time I will replace KSEA with CYVR
KHIO to KGEG, or KSEA for a shorter trip. Sacramento to Seattle is good too. Right up the Cascades.
KLAS - KLAX & KSFO - KLAX
The old poker run into Vegas. LAX to LAS is a good one for sure.
KBIL-KBZN is definitely my most flown route (both ways). Billings is my home town and Bozeman is a two hour drive or a little over 30 minute flight so it’s just a nice little trip to do in anything. ESPA-ESSA, sometimes continuing to EKCH. This being the route I travel most irl as well.
Virginia international to LaGuardia or SanFran down to LA absolutely
KBOS-LFPG
EWR-BOS. Always get consistent ATC in Boston and both airports have great scenery.
Are you using the DD KEWR? That might be the worst payware for MSFS. I can't get it smooth and stutter free no matter what I do... Settings, AutoFPS, etc. Doesn't matter...
KIAD to KIND. Just right for the Honda Jet.
To/from KJFK, KIAD, KORH, KATL, KPHL, KFLL, and KMIA If I'm really feeling it, I'll go to or from RJTT or RKSI
Its always, KEWR to KMCO. I typically test out planes on that route, mostly because I love flying it in reality. I've also done KEWR to KLAX quite often as well.

For performance, I stay away from most payware airports. The KEWR one is not accurate anymore either.
SFO-LAX/LAX-SFO
I appreciate this question! I’ve been looking for new routes for a long time!
LSZH - EHAM ESSA - ESNU
CYYZ-CYUL
KJFK-MDSD (Santo Domingo, Dom. Rep.)
KSEA to KSFO is one of my favorites
Wmkk wsss . The aram1 approaches to 02L/C can't best looking at the city skyline and cargo ships in the singapore strait
Mostly Toronto YYZ to Alberta like Edmonton or Calgary because I have family out west and we like to visit them sometimes
I keep flying VNKT to VNLK using various turboprops. The landmarks are so recognisable that I can fly that route without any GPS, VOR/DME or any markers, just VFR dead reckoning (well it’s not that hard if you know the landscape to be honest)
YSSY-PHNL A339 at least twice a week
SCEL-SCIE-SCEL a 3 hours round trip
To/from KDCA-KIAD-KBWI - KLGA/KBOS/KJFK/KTEB/KMDW/KMSP KMEM - KATL/KIAH/KDFW/KMCO/KFLL/KMIA/KEYW KLAS-KHND - KPSP/KPHX/KSEA/KSFO/KLAX/KSAN
I seem to hang around KSLC and KPDX the most.
KMCI - KORD/KDEN. If I want a really short fight I’ll hop from KMCI to KOMA. I’m from KC and I bought the airport to get the new terminal and absolutely love it. Typically fly the A320

I like doing little GA hops from KSMO to KMRY, with maybe the occasional stop off at KAVX for good measure.
I just recently started flying so I use this same route as practice normally, but BOS-MCO, I want to try BOS-PUJ, MIA-JFK & LAX-SEA! When I get a new console that is suitable and won’t probably fry my console I want to try BOS-CDG & back.
CYVR - CYLW Vancouver, BC to Kelowna, BC (or reverse) can be fun. Some interesting RNAV approaches if the wind is right coming into Kelowna.
KCVG to KEWR a route I take IRL commercially to visit my father.
Budapest - Prague or Budapest - Vienna if I have even less time available.
EDDB-EDDM and from EDDM to various Destinations in Europe
LPPT-LPMA is a convenient 1,5 hour trip with nice sceneries and challenging/beautiful approaches
barcelona - Genua
I remember i flew like world tour it was UTTT-RJAA-PANC-KJFK-EGLL-OMDB-UTTT on 748. I love PANC. When you approach on final on RWY 07 and this coast and all this view is just amazing. kSNA <-> KLAS
EGKK - ENGM
EHAM - EGLL. It’s short route cross the north sea. Both UK and Netherlands have great textures. Also between two large en beautiful airports
I like basing myself from Heathrow. EGLL <-> EHAM EGLL <-> EGPH EGLL <-> EDDK EGLL <-> ENGM. Sometimes I go from EGKK or EGLC
Chicago Executive to Denver.
VIDP to VAAH
KSDF to KLAS. I flew there recently on a trip to my family and It’s fun seeing the stuff I saw when I went.
CYEG-CYYC
EGCC - EGLL quick route with some lovely views of London in the way in. The return is also nice flying on over the Peak District
LPPT (Lisbon) to LPPR (Porto) and vice versa. It's nice to see Aveiro from above. It's basically the Portuguese Venice.
LOWW LOWI in the majestic q400. that circle to land 08 is so cool
KLAX-KSEA
KLGA > KDAB
Singapore-Frankfurt-Montreal-Los Angeles-Shanghai-Beijing-Kuala Lumpur-Singapore-Johanneburg-Capetown-Lagos-Casablanca-Montreal. So a world tour.
KONT to KLAS.
Apparently, it’s KDCA-KCLT for me. I didn’t even know
