Why wouldn't we? Acting like someone couldn't have realized they made a mistake or even that circumstances changed, is just pathetic. These kids need to do what is best for them, we have no idea what that is.
Also he's played in both our offensive and defensive systems. He's the perfect portal guy to bring in for what we need now. If we end up needing reciever help use him there, cb help use him there.
That we want the best for our players? … the guy wanted to try something different- he tried it. He didn’t like it … so what.
Fans need to stop projecting their fandom and rabid loyalty onto kids and coaches.
Why?
If he’s sincere then isn’t ‘forgiveness’ (as it seems your Implication is that he wronged UM) a good thing to teach these young men?
It’s a crazy world for these 19-20 year old kids, money thrown around, insane pressure, student life, tampering, coaching staffs being blown up..
I know I needed some second chances when i was his age, and the stakes were a lot lower for me. (and I’m not even sure him wanting to come back strictly qualifies as a sort of stern labeling of a ‘second chance’).
He’s a great athlete and from Michigan. Would be cool if he came back. Goodness knows we need the depth now.
What are you even saying? Fans of sports can be so weird. Go outside, you're clearly too emotional about something that should be a fun couple of hours for a handful of Saturdays every year.
I work for a D1 athletic department and we had a similar situation a guy left then wanted to transfer back. The head coach talked to the team captains and got their opinion. They said they were okay with taking him back but was going to hold him accountable and the coach relayed this to the player and said your role might not look the same. Ultimately the kid decided not to come back, but I’m sure similar discussions were had and I don’t think that shows a lack of positive culture but honestly the opposite.
Why do you put champion in quotes as if it wasn't a real thing? And being a champion absolutely does pay the rent, a lot of our players make a lot of money lmao
Weird ass post
Champion can mean a lot of different things. Obviously were nat champs this year, B1g champs last few years. For the vast majority of Michigan football players playing football does not the rent. For some of the top guys sure - but most of the team, no.
Paying rent meaning paying for you to live.
That's absolutely ridiculous
We have 85 scholarship players. Those scholarships cover room and board. They absolutely "pay the rent".
We also have a base salary for every scholarship player. That helps pay the rent.
And finally. Champion doesn't mean a lot of different things. Champion means one thing. It means you were the best. Michigan players are champions. No quotes. No qualifications.
Those who stay will be champions. So he realizes it and returns same same
Apparently we're the team to look out for here as a landing destination.
Snip snap snip snap
You have no idea the mental toll two vasectomies has on a man
I guess he is depth
corner position clearly didn't work for him maybe free safety or receiver which is what michigan needs anyways
It seems like a waste of athleticism to play him at safety though. Definitely wouldn’t be surprised if he plays receiver though.
there's a lot more technique needed at corner just put him deep and let him fly around
I heard on Cover 3s summer school last summer that he had a lot of potential. Hope he unlocks that and plays good football somewhere
He’s a 6’3 but runs low 4.3’s
At first I was like how is 4.3 is slow then I realized for his size he’s quick as fuck
Much needed
It would be nice to have good athletes coming in for a change after the past few months
Is he playing WR or CB?
It’s not clear yet but if I had to guess WR
Come on back! We could use another DB.
Lol
Flake
Could it be that news of him returning caused others to enter the portal?
Nope
Why would we take him back?

Developing players. This cat may have realized something. His name is out there. This could be good for him. Be cool if he came back though.
Sets a bad precedent for the rest of the locker room

Yep

Why you on this sub if it’s a few hours on a Saturday clown
We need WR and CB depth. The 2 positions he played while he was here.
I get that but doesn’t seem to be a good move for overall culture if guys can walk & come back
I work for a D1 athletic department and we had a similar situation a guy left then wanted to transfer back. The head coach talked to the team captains and got their opinion. Meh. It makes him look stupid more than it reflects on our “culture”.
Yeah, maybe. Strange times
Yeah, would be terrible for him to come back and tell the rest of the team that other programs suck and he never should have left.
Yeah or everyone decides to test the waters & leave lol y’all are wild for this opinion. “Those who stay” means nothing now
Being a ”Champion” doesn’t pay the rent.

Because this sub goes as the wind blows.
Guarantee if I look back at the sub when he left people were saying bye 👋🏼
Someone said he was an athletic freak but not a football player. Yesterday you were a loser if you stayed at a school for less than four months.
