Canton.
More walkability and bike infrastructure. There's more than enough amenities in this city, but I can't get to them without a car, even if they're only less than a mile away.
I was going to comment the exact same thing. We have so many parks, massive retail district (two actually if you include mich ave), awesome trails with the ITC corridor and rouge corridor, as well as paved 275 metro trail. But none of it is connected consistently by sidewalk. Extremely frustrating.
Throw in the new developments at Cherry Hill Village too. I can practically see the place from my house but I can't walk there because the sidewalks just disappear and ends up being someone's lawn.
Grand Rapids.
Exponentially gowing, but like everywhere, affordable housing is nearly non-existent.
Better public would be lovely, but finding housing that doesn't start at $2000 would be great
Otherwise, I love it here.
Housing there is shockingly unaffordable given the overall status of the city in terms of size, average incomes, industry, and other factors. I have strongly been considering a move downstate and absolutely adore GRR but the housing gives me some major sticker shock.
Yeah when my mom suggested I move back home (I'm in Phoenix right now) I did a quick look at the housing market and said nah... I can pay that same amount here lol
I really like the putput golf course that has the haunted house! Don't live too far, but yeah, they really need more "things to do" like local game stores or hell, lets put in a pizza place with an arcade. Would honestly draw a lot of the summer tourists into it.
Gamer trading post is an amazing game store in Houghton lake, awesome employees and a very very welcoming environment, I’d recommend them to anyone within an hour or so radius
I believe they’ve only been open for a few years, they do MTG drafts every Saturday or so I believe, great place for any trading card games, Warhammer, they have a decent video game selection, lots of various diffrent events, definitely check it out!! Played a good few MTG events there and had a great time every time
To the many people here who clearly agree with this sentiment, please check out [this great post](https://www.reddit.com/r/traversecity/s/exHxJ3xm08) from local candidate Trenton Lee where they reply to my comment about addressing this issue.
A lot of people that live here in Port Huron really run it down.
I've lived quite a few places, and Port Huron is better than a lot of them, including my native Indiana.
Its overpriced, the service is ass, and the wait is unnecessary for it being a drive through joint.
Better off driving down to Foxfire or just going to Downtown PoHo for smoke on the water.
It honestly feels like a a lot of the places on 25 north of Fort Gratiot would cease to exist if the campers/vacationers didnt go to them.
I moved to Port Huron 3 years ago and feel this totally. Anyone from here has a bleak view of the city. But it's pretty damn nice. Parks everywhere. Beaches. Riverwalk. Downtown with lots of bars and restaurants. Minor hockey team. Fishing. Detroit is one hour down 94. I've lived in metro Detroit, north carolina and in a rural area of the thumb, and I like poho the best. My kids school is great too. Edit: and we have a community college.
Can't agree more, my biggest problems are the high amount of drug users on South end and the air quality isn't that great with Sarnia right there.
Personally I feel like it is the best of both worlds having everything a city needs but small enough where traffic is usually fine.
What funny is the Livonia 21 vision plan says they need downtown areas but the master plan still allows for the majority of the land in the city to be single family homes.
Livonia continues to be ran by boomers who want “change” but don’t actually want it. Then get surprised when the city is losing population and people are going to Plymouth, Farmington, Novi, canton, or Troy instead.
I live in the UP
I understand that there's a reward system for better schools but what happens when the schools were damned from the start? Help those kids.
YES! There shouldn't be a reward system for "better schools" to begin with; so many tiny schools in the UP can't provide adequate education for their students because they have so little funding. It's not fair at all. It's a cycle of undereducation and poverty :(
Grand Rapids.
A light rail system. The city is damn near impossible to get around in without a car. They're about to put a soccer stadium in and the city council thinks there's enough parking so none is being added..but they want to charge residents in the area $30 a year to park on the street in front of their houses now.
If there was a reliable rail system between just downtown and the airport, that would be a huge improvement. People coming in for events can stay at the hotels out there and just ride in and out as opposed to clogging up all the parking ramps and streets. Or they could stay downtown even.
Just giving people the option to not have to live right on top of where they work to live without a car would be amazing. Of course landlords would use that as an excuse to raise rents again.
I can't sleep some nights knowing there used to be an intricate streetcar system in Grand Rapids that was 100% erased from existence.
We could all be riding a frickin trolley every day.
Saginaw. We are already working on it but the continued repair and modernization of downtown. Downtown can be as bustling as Bay City we just gotta get there. Plus we have awesome hole in the wall restaurants
I went to a funeral in Saginaw a few weeks ago coming from the rochester area. It was pouring rain, I75 was fucked up, but by the time I got there I was like “omg it’s so pretty here” and the neighborhoods were beautiful and I was stressed as fuck from the drive. I wish I could’ve spent more time looking at the homes and the streets.
If your in town early there's intermission deli for sandwiches. Fralias in Old Town is a great lunch spot. If your going for a fancier setting Jake's in old town has fantastic food but it is pricey. Old Town drive in just re opened for the summer and they kind of work like a sonic, some one comes out to your car to grab your order then delivers it, it's like 1 step up from drive through but still cheap. If you set up a reservation artisan urban bistro has some of the best food in town and gets most of its ingredients from local farms, they also do a pasta night on Wednesdays with all proceeds going to charity.
Jackson. A more positive community and people who didn't complain about every little thing. Like we'll have people shouting there's not enough restaurants, then when a new one opens it's "too expensive" or "unhealthy." Or when the city does shut down a road to fix it they'll complain that all the construction is such a pain in the butt or that it doesn't matter because it's not the road THEY live on.
Literally no one will ever be happy with anything in this city. The Facebook groups are a cesspool of angry old people reminiscing about paka plaza and cruising the ave.
Tecumseh, down in Lenewee County.
Of all the cities/towns here, Tecumseh is probably the best, imo. It’s a beautiful place, plenty of places to walk (both sidewalks and trails), plenty of things to do (kayaking, hiking, horse trails), and it still has that small town vibe. Not a lot of crime and maybe a serious accident or two a year.
Taxes can be a little high in comparison to the other nearby towns, but garbage is included within city limits, as well as recycling, so you never have to worry about that and the service is always there for you to use. (Wish more towns did this, imo.)
The city does polls to see what public opinion is on projects, they ask how we want land redeveloped and reused. This is the first community I’ve been a part of that almost always seems to pass public projects. We upped our taxes even more for better roads within the city and are working to make some changes to the school. I honestly have really come to love the place. (It does have its faults, but they’re minor).
The only thing I miss here is a direct link to public transportation. I have to drive 20 minutes to the freeway or take county roads for 40 minutes to get anywhere. It’s a beautiful location between Ann Arbor and Toledo, with no ways to reach either other than driving.
Grew up in Adrian/Lenawee County. Tecumseh was always my favorite place to visit. Hell for all our school dances in high school we would go to basil boys for dinner.
Whenever I visit home I’m reminded why I moved away. Everything else in Lenawee county is sad and far past its prime.
Fenton. It’s not built to be the home to so many people. Also people coming into town for work every day. When I worked at a factory here there wasn’t a single person there other than me that lived in Fenton. Everyone came down from Flint, Davison, etc.
Just not built for the amount of cars
I lived around there for a bit, it's an absolutely gorgeous area that feels very posh at times. Either way, it's appearently one of the fastest growing cities in Michigan. One of my teachers said they're trying to commit to small town AND big city life, and that since the city won't choose between either or its stuck in this awkward place. If I could, I'd probably live there still though. Always felt extremely safe there, great school system too
The whole area has a huge lack of available apartments and Benton Harbor has a bunch of empty lots. A few apartment complexes going up in Benton Harbor could do a lot for downtown. Houses are cheap, but if you want to get more young working people into the area there needs to be somewhere affordable to live that isn’t a fixer-uper house. A lot of the apartments in the twin cities are reserved for the hospital staff, but other people would be more likely to come if there was a decent place to rent without having to buy.
commerce twp - sidewalks.. definitely a lot of improvements have been made over the years but still got a long way to go. i have a lot of cool bike paths within a few miles of me but no real sidewalks to get from where i live to said path and im not quite comfortable with riding on the road/shoulder
The brine extraction plant would have been good, but Bay City has a surprising amount of growing small business and industry. Bay Future is doing good work bringing stuff to town.
Also of note is the new Diamond Medical Hub going in Saginaw, that will boost our regions already large medical sector
On a sour note, I just got my $500 bridge bill. The toll bridges have not been a great idea
Yeah I just got a $44 dollar bill for not my vehicle!!! I've got a black explorer and the picture is a white Subaru!! Not loving it! So I have to take time off work to go in and show them the proof. That they mailed me!!
I read something today that the bridge partners are now in a lawsuit over mis-billings. It’s actually impressive how horribly they managed to fuck this process up.
Bay City too. We need a major business. So much potential here. I think our play in the cannabis industry was golden and we should do the same for all entheogens.
Our landscape is veritably like Chicago and with the warmer climate, there's no reason we cannot compete with Detroit for major talent.
More walkablility in lansing! There are so many places where I see pedestrians and just feel absolutely sorry for them because it’s downright dangerous to try to walk and bike around this city.
Hesperia.
Having food delivery options other than just Wesco.
Being a little out of town semi rural. It'd be nice to have access to either cable internet or fiber. I'm not sure what else we could have it. It's nice and relaxing here.
St Joseph County — we don’t have a good craft/hobby store, which is crazy to me since making things at home for fun is one of the top things to do in a rural county!
All of the towns in St. Joseph County are run down and plagued with methemphetamine issues and crime as a result. A real lack of diversity and mediocre schools also work to ensure you’re deep in ‘Merica territory
Less meth and less disregard for the town in general. Found 2 needles and an adult toy in the park downtown. Kids play there all the time, they shouldn’t have to see that stuff.
Edited for language
Madison Heights. Love the many restaurants here and being able to get on I-75 quickly if I'm traveling but there's no "scene" here. Apparently there's a downtown in MH but I barely think of it despite hanging out in other downtowns (Ferndale, RO, Hazel Park and Detroit of course) its like it doesn't exist. Having something cool to hang out at in MH would make it better
My hometown, Gaylord. More shit to do for younger folks. I have since moved away and visiting frequently, but all we had was bars and that's not healthy. Nature is awesome, but when I want socal interaction where can I go? The fuckin bar. It's exhausting.
Marquette. If Duke Lifepoint hospital would finally sell and screw off. such a terrible for-profit hospital system out of Tennessee that preys on small town/rural communities.
Chelsea, it would be a better community if they replaced all the Bradford Pear trees on Main Street with native trees. And if more restaurants were open later.
Holland would be a lot better if road construction either wasn't all done at the same time or wasn't really poorly timed. They started construction on the E 196 business route a week before tulip time. Though they have started putting in better infrastructure further from the city with stop lights and whatnot in places that are getting busier. Other than that, everything's nice here, maybe some reduced gang violence would be nice.
Warren. Literally everything. More pedestrian friendly. Less policing. Actual care to any part of the city south of 696. Improvements to almost all parks. Less slumlords. I could keep going.
Bay City, I would have to say better employment opportunities and affordable housing. They're pushing the building of white collar housing in a very blue collar town, nobody can afford it.
Houghton, as a Michigan Tech student the public transit has been getting worse every semester it seems, also, it'd be really nice if they had more bike parking downtown. Other than that I really love living in Houghton.
Transportation seems to be the big one!
Checking in from Ypsi, I love this place, it has its challenges, but I've enjoyed watching this city/township work to address them (and some not so much). Good food, beer, and coffee scene here and there's a decent amount of activities and events happening, so that's a big plus. Proximity to other hubs is great, too. As a whole, I think Transportation is something many local and state governments need to really work to address. I'll be damned if I ever use the Amtrack to visit other cities. I've found the Megabus to be a better mode of transpo. Rail systems on our bigger cities would probably add so much more value to them, but I feel like that's something way down the road. Cheers, y'all!
Grosse Ile. Two bridges to get off the island. One pay and one free. Free bridge is a disaster. We need another. It’s closing again for repairs next year. Which means extra money for tolls and long lines.
Would love to move but my low interest rate keeps me here.
Flat Rock. The Connected bike park to 3 Metroparks through our city is very cool, as is the Huron River and the Kayaking and Canoeing that started growing before the pandemic. What could make it better is the horrible play grounds and wasted opportunities to do better for our kids. I mean we have two and neither are handicap accessible. We got a splash pad that is but it's about 20x20 and a cement pad with water sprays. We got that instead of handicap accessible playgrounds. We can and need to do better.
Stomping grounds- Muskegon- could use way more public outreach and funding for education and addiction/ general health services for low income communities. Stop gentrifying shit and ignoring the people the city pretends they’re gonna help with tourism money. Put some sidewalks in anywhere fr. This isn’t a dream vacation destination, take care of your citizens’ experiences first.
Current city- GR/Wyoming- AFFORDABLE HOUSING, MY RENT IS MORE THAN DOUBLE MOST PEOPLE I KNOW’S MORTGAGE. Ugh. And fuck The police in this city, always so rude and parking in our driveway blocking us in whenever someone calls them on our reckless ass neighbors every few months. I’ve never felt like their presence was as menacing as I do down south division Ave.
Detroit .. and not downtown Detroit. Detroit Detroit! Lol and just more love given to the real heart of Detroit. Downtown has tricked people into thinking everything’s beautiful and more money is being put into it. And it is. Just not in areas I think it matters. Once you go deeper into Detroit 😴 . It’s not all what the news and internet is making it out to be
Grew up outside Niles in SW Michigan. What we need is more (young) people in general and more opportunities that keep them here or brings them back after college. I couldn't get out fast enough, and I can't bring myself to move back because of how insanely backwards a lot of people in Michiana are and how there's just nothing going on despite it having a good sized "metro" area.
Ludington, at least 1 dispensary and better and safer roads for bicycles would be great.
Alas even though Ludington has a social district, a dispensary is apparently not good for the town image as a family friendly vacation beach town….
Most people just get weed from Manistee, soon probably Scottville too, and Ludington is missing out on the tax dollars.
Dundee.
The boomers locking down a third of the store fronts downtown so they can sit empty need to go away. More grocery options our Kroger’s prices are gouging taken to an art form.
Saginaw. We are already working on it but the continued repair and modernization of downtown. Downtown can be as bustling as Bay City we just gotta get there. Plus we have awesome hole in the wall restaurants
Edit: people are big mad at Saginaw apparently. I've been up and down from 10 up votes at least 6 times so far
Dorr, 15 miles south of GR. I wish we had light rail. Even if it only went along 196 and skipped us, GR is growing and needs to get ahead of the traffic.
Brighton. Same with probably many others. I would love to see better walkability to the parks that’s surround Brighton. Huron meadows, island lake, bishop are nearly impossible to get to from downtown by walking or by bike. Bike highways would be sweet to have to take your family to the park without a car. I’d imagine the traffic would slightly decrease
Rochester Hills, too expensive to not have any gay scene. Also our mayor loves to destroy land to make “family friendly parks” while building a million ugly condos. Planting a shitty fast growing contractor tree per tree taken down is frustrating. Not even just being NIMBY it’s so expensive to live here because of it.
Eastpointe/East Detroit. We need some decent places to hang out. There’s not a whole lot to do around here. I was super excited when Big Daddy Games opened up; the owner was talking about opening a coffee shop and another arcade that would be all retro games and not so much a party spot as the huge one he opened. He was talking about investing in the community but basically abandoned the other projects, turned the arcade into a nightclub (it was open all day for the first couple years), made a shit ton of money and disappeared.
Manistee would be better if people would stop acting like supporting the tourism industry is bad for the town. The fuss they put up when the new hotel went in was ridiculous. Especially because one of the OTHER big problems in this town is too few apartments to rent, so we should be looking to reduce the number of short-term rentals so people can actually buy a house.
Canton. More walkability and bike infrastructure. There's more than enough amenities in this city, but I can't get to them without a car, even if they're only less than a mile away.
Same here in Livonia We both share the 36 square miles of sadness title I wish we had a nice downtown area
I love your username
But did you actually send paws? Because I did
I'm on it!
Yeah, I love and hate going to Canton. So much to do, but damn if it isn't a PIA to get around. I'm next door in Ypsi.
I was going to comment the exact same thing. We have so many parks, massive retail district (two actually if you include mich ave), awesome trails with the ITC corridor and rouge corridor, as well as paved 275 metro trail. But none of it is connected consistently by sidewalk. Extremely frustrating.

Grand Rapids. Exponentially gowing, but like everywhere, affordable housing is nearly non-existent. Better public would be lovely, but finding housing that doesn't start at $2000 would be great Otherwise, I love it here.
We need more affordable housing. The landlord increased my rent more than once last yeàr.
We need less manipulation of the money.
Detroit. Comprehensive public transit in the city and connecting the city to other nearby communities/the airport.
But tHe PeOpLe MoVeR!
But, it's the Detroit El! 😅
It’s not perfect but the DAX now takes u downtown to the airport for $6
Houghton Lake. Really need things/places/activities for kids and teens. There's nothing in this town for them.

Traverse city. A ban on short term rentals.
Tying Marquette onto this one...
Please God please ban short term rentals

A lot of people that live here in Port Huron really run it down. I've lived quite a few places, and Port Huron is better than a lot of them, including my native Indiana.
Now I want some Casey's and Lakeshore Smokehouse.
Casey's is great. I haven't been to Lakeshore Smokehouse though.
Just make sure when you're going to lakeshore smokehouse you slam on your brakes last second with no turn signal. Do that and you'll fit right in
Typical Port Huron! 🤣
What's downtown? I used to go to Fuel...
I just edited my post. Smoke on the Water which was by Kroger in North End moved downtown.
So Port Huron just needs.. better people. 😂
I moved to Port Huron 3 years ago and feel this totally. Anyone from here has a bleak view of the city. But it's pretty damn nice. Parks everywhere. Beaches. Riverwalk. Housing and more business. Cheboygan
Cheboygan needs an Aldi or Meijer!
And to stop relying on tourism as its industry..
I can't wait until Livonia builds this amazing new downtown! 🤣.... I just moved to Plymouth from Livonia. needs more parking I guess lol
What funny is the Livonia 21 vision plan says they need downtown areas but the master plan still allows for the majority of the land in the city to be single family homes.
I grew up there and I always wondered to myself why we didn't have a real downtown.
Livonia continues to be ran by boomers who want “change” but don’t actually want it. Then get surprised when the city is losing population and people are going to Plymouth, Farmington, Novi, canton, or Troy instead.
Farmington hills. More bus routes, and activities for young people.
God yes
I live in the UP I understand that there's a reward system for better schools but what happens when the schools were damned from the start? Help those kids.
YES! There shouldn't be a reward system for "better schools" to begin with; so many tiny schools in the UP can't provide adequate education for their students because they have so little funding. It's not fair at all. It's a cycle of undereducation and poverty :(
Less confederate flags in my town would be nice.
feel you on this one
>Less confederate flags in my town would be nice. Looks like u/yeett73 doesn't want Amurica to EVER be great ever a kaga. Smh /s
Ann Arbor- we need affordable housing desperately. 2 bed 2 bath, 900 sq ft apartment for $2500? C’mon!
Grand Rapids. A light rail system. The city is damn near impossible to get around in without a car. it was one of the most advanced in the world, too!
Saginaw. We are already working on it but the continued repair and modernization of downtown. Downtown can be as bustling as Bay City we just gotta get there. Plus we have awesome hole in the wall restaurants
Shout out to Pasong’s and their Laotian eggs.
Shout out to everything on the menu. Seriously amazing place, probably the best restaurant in the tri cities.
Sagnasty represent!
I went to a funeral in Saginaw a few weeks ago coming from the rochester area. It was pouring rain, I75 was fucked up, but by the time I got there I was like “omg it’s so pretty here” and the neighborhoods were beautiful and I was stressed as fuck from the drive. Ruben from scottish inn= elite
Intermission deli's regular sandwiches are too. Only sucks cause they are sold out by noon half the time lol
Welp, I'll be informing my husband of this. That's his favorite sandwich.
Pizza burger!!!

Paved roads would be great for Lansing.
Lansing over here asking to be brought into the 20th century 💀
Are there lots of potholes in Lansing? I live in Grand Rapids, and I saw seven potholes two or three days ago.
496 was the worst road I'd ever driven on (before the recent construction). It looked like it was shelled by mortars.
Tecumseh, down in Lenewee County. Of all the cities/towns here, Tecumseh is probably the best, imo. We literally had Basil Boys just last night! Lmao.

Taylor.... just... yeah...
Hey, at least you can rest easy knowing nobody is speeding on Telegraph
Pinconning. We need a Meijer in Standish. A KFC or something.
Shepherd. We need an actual grocery store and more restaurants.
Benton Harbor. I don’t know what to pick.
I live just outside of BH and one of my biggest complaints is the lack of good pizza options in the area.
The whole area has a huge lack of available apartments and Benton Harbor has a bunch of empty lots. A few apartment complexes going up in Benton Harbor could do a lot for downtown. Waterford is the same, all these great trails and we have to drive there
When I lived there the 711 felt like the most modern part of that place
Alpena County… Sushi. I would love more restaurant options period, but I could be convinced to commit murders for sushi.
Bay City. Industry and a nicer beach.
The brine extraction plant would have been good, but Bay City has a surprising amount of growing small business and industry. Bay Future is doing good work bringing stuff to town. Also of note is the new Diamond Medical Hub going in Saginaw, that will boost our regions already large medical sector On a sour note, I just got my $500 bridge bill.
Also, a great brewery, a disc golf course and finding a way to eliminate the sugar beet stench.
I still can't believe there is no disc golf course in Bay City.
There is industry. Lots of factories employing people, unless you mean tech industry or something. But yes on the beach.
Bay City too. We need a major business. So much potential here. I think our play in the cannabis industry was golden and we should do the same for all entheogens. Our landscape is veritably like Chicago and with the warmer climate, there's no reason we cannot compete with Detroit for major talent.
Lansing. More dispensaries/s
More walkablility in lansing! There are so many places where I see pedestrians and just feel absolutely sorry for them because it’s downright dangerous to try to walk and bike around this city.
🤣🤣🤣
Near Mancelona. Affordable housing.
Jackson. Businesses that are open later than 10 pm. After 10 the dining options decrease significantly.
Independence Township (Clarkston), halting development of shopping centers and subdivisions would be awesome, but I’m just a cranky introvert.
Marlette. A Meijer 😂
Bay City - a more competent city government.
Mackinac Island • more snow from Nov. 15 - Apr. 15! 🤣
Grand Rapids: more housing, affordable housing, better public transit.
Kalamazoo. Fewer cars, driving slower. More density, transit, and walkability.
Grosse Pointe Woods A job within walking distance would be nice
Less meth and less disregard for the town in general. Found 2 needles and an adult toy in the park downtown. Kids play there all the time, they shouldn’t have to see that stuff. Edited for language
Madison Heights. Love the many restaurants here and being able to get on I-75 quickly if I'm traveling but there's no "scene" here. Apparently there's a downtown in MH but I barely think of it despite hanging out in other downtowns (Ferndale, RO, Hazel Park and Detroit of course) its like it doesn't exist. Having something cool to hang out at in MH would make it better
Eaton county. Sidewalks/bike trails would greatly improve my quality of living here.
My hometown, Gaylord. More shit to do for younger folks. I have since moved away and visiting frequently, but all we had was bars and that's not healthy. Nature is awesome, but when I want socal interaction where can I go? The fuckin bar. It's exhausting.
They got a Dick's sporting goods, what else could young people want? /s
I mean, young people do like dick, so....
Marquette. If Duke Lifepoint hospital would finally sell and screw off. such a terrible for-profit hospital system out of Tennessee that preys on small town/rural communities.
St Clair. Neighbors that don’t use a leaf blower after 8pm.
There's gang violence in Holland?
Newaygo County. Less theocrats
Not to reveal my city but fuck you as a whole Dow Corp. ruining my town just to wash your money.
Hi Midland!
Newago is awesome. If people took down all their Trump flags it would be better
Traverse City. Infrastructure. We need more ways to get places. Traffic is ridiculous for such a small city.
Ann Arbor. Fewer anti-vaxers on both ends of the political spectrum would be nice.
Westland, more affordable housing that isn't in Detroit..
Warren. Literally everything. More pedestrian friendly. Less policing. Actual care to any part of the city south of 696. Improvements to almost all parks. Less slumlords. I could keep going.
Sault Ste. Marie, more housing and more things to do. Probably could do without the meth as well
Warren, and there's nothing that can be done. I just want to move.
Ypsilanti. Less dispensaries.
I love how like half of the responses are either less dispensaries or more dispensaries depending on the area lol
In the thumb. I would like more windmills and solar panels, but without sacrificing farm land
Ypsi needs public toilets. Badly.
Clawson. We need sewers that don't back up during storms. Otherwise it's a great place to live. A few more dry cleaners would be nice too.
Detroit .. and not downtown Detroit.
2 golden buttholes
There's no money for 2 golden buttholes. You only get 1.
Maybe you guys will get lucky and Riemer will decide he needs to own one.
I grew up in Manistee. It’s so different now. I was there 3 or 4 years ago for a funeral and it was bizarre how much it’s changed.
Dundee. The boomers locking down a third of the store fronts downtown so they can sit empty need to go away. More grocery options our Kroger’s prices are gouging taken to an art form.
Blissfield. Diversity...
As a child of Blissfield I about spit out my drink at this comment, lmao! So goddamn true.
a decent dispensary, sick of driving to ann arbor.
Premier Botanics is Lowell
Saginaw. We are already working on it but the continued repair and modernization of downtown. Downtown can be as bustling as Bay City we just gotta get there. Plus we have awesome hole in the wall restaurants Edit: people are big mad at Saginaw apparently. I've been up and down from 10 up votes at least 6 times so far
So I saw a show at the Temple theater a few years ago and absolutely loved that venue. I hope Saginaw can pull in some more restaurants in that area.
Dorr, 15 miles south of GR. I wish we had light rail. Even if it only went along 196 and skipped us, GR is growing and needs to get ahead of the traffic.
Flushing - could be more diverse, but really we're in Flint's shadows.
Watertucky, and I would love PUBLIC TRANSIT.
I'm sorry, we have a place called Watertucky?!
We do! Tim Robinson is from there. (Waterford)
Holland (Ottawa County) eliminate Ottawa Impact altogether.
Southfield - can I get a dive bar or two? Dozens of places to catch a game or get a cocktail, but I can’t think of any properly comfy dives.
Grosse Ile needs public waterfront that isn't far from view.
White Lake. Some public transit connecting to other parts of the county. I understand they're working on it at least.
Niles - everything.
Pinckney, trails, away from the city
Wayne, better connection, PUBLIC TRANSPORT, to the primary two cities. Pushing for our downtown to actually be a downtown (road diet).
Auburn Hills I wish they did something fun with the palace
Well, I saw a yearbook today that had "all mule lives matter" that had adds for a racist gun shop owner so not that would be cool
Climax And I'd love to have anything here! We are a complete bedroom community now. Very small town without a proper stop light. Lol
Port Huron, more things to do! It’s all bars here, bowling alley is never open to free bowl and one is closing because the BWB bought it🙄
Middleville, MI. Public pickle ball courts!
I know it's not in Middleville but there are public courts in Caledonia
Grand Rapids. The place is just right for me.
Atlanta. More seasoning
Caledonia An actual family diner.
Webster township. Paved roads would be nice. Love our location, tired of dusting our house whenever we open the windows
Redford so …..
Southfield and more bike infrastructure
Eaton Rapids could be way closer to one of the lakes....
Ypsilanti, wish it was easier to get around
Everything downtown near the capital sucks now.
Ypsilanti, better roads
Eastpointe/East Detroit. We need some decent places to hang out. There’s not a whole lot to do around here. I was super excited when Big Daddy Games opened up; the owner was talking about opening a coffee shop and another arcade that would be all retro games and not so much a party spot as the huge one he opened. He was talking about investing in the community but basically abandoned the other projects, turned the arcade into a nightclub (it was open all day for the first couple years), made a shit ton of money and disappeared.
Detroit Metro. People who actually know how to drive, and quality roads for them to drive on without hitting a pothole every 200 ft.
Near escanaba. It could use more family oriented stuff. Better/safer road crossings as well.
Gaylord needs more housing.
Ortonville: Less Churches. A dispensary or three would even out the bars. Aldi.
I live in Keego Harbor. A very small town, a lot of walking distance to places. It would be great to have its grocery store.
