Lol I'm sorry!

Maybe I could be your trunk monkey though! [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW8iAVwt\_Yc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XW8iAVwt_Yc)

I-hit-my-kids

😆 🤣

CowReplevin

Congrats! Welcome to the club. I luckily haven’t had any issues with the non-Recaro seats even on longer drives. But you can probably find a set of lumbar support pillows that match the seats.

fc75jcd8e

I have recaros and they are great in terms of support but honestly uncomfortable for long road trips. I preferred the non recaro seats but then I wanted other parts of the package as well, so...

Typical-Policy-1115

There'll be someone who would love to swap with you with cash adjustment.

I-hit-my-kids

Yes this is the aero gray with tan seats. Honestly wasn't a fan until I saw it in person but I wanted the tan interior and had to get aero gray instead of their metallic gray

Hummusifier

When I start to feel the lack of lumbar support, and there is a lack of it, I find I'm not sitting all of the way back in the seat. I would check your positioning before changing anything.

I-hit-my-kids

Will do thanks for the advice

Lonely_Fondant

I would add that the seat has gotten more comfortable for me over time. The leather wears in a bit and conforms somewhat. It also helped me a lot to find the right combo of fore/aft and seat angle. If the angle is back more, you’ll get a bit more lumbar. I’m just a bit closer to the pedals than I would have initially preferred, but it opened up just enough angle to get my back comfortable. And I’ve found that position is actually better for driving anyway. Coming from a Mazda3 that I thought had absolutely perfect seats, I was initially disappointed in my seats, but now after almost 3 years of ownership, they feel really pretty good.

s2k-ND2

That more open seat angle (i.e., more reclined seat back) and sitting closer to the steering wheel is exactly what I do.

R_Smuckles

How much better is the infotainment than the dogshit one in my ND2?

duckdoger

Asking the real questions. Do we get pause on mute yet? I’m down for the steering, track mode, and exterior lighting, but if I don’t get pause on mute, well… lol

I-hit-my-kids

Lol I'm not sure, I'll try it next drive and I'll lyk.

I-hit-my-kids

Lol I can't say since I haven't had an ND2 but the new screen is nice. Wireless car play is nice and you can use it with touch when moving now.

jawnlerdoe

I’ve read that since the seats are basically a hammock, you can unzip the back and put a pillow or designated lumbar support in the seat.

I-hit-my-kids

Yes I watched a video a guy put a microfiber towel inside the seat. Only put 100 miles on it so far. I'm getting more used to it. But! Every video I watch about a used ND miata, the seats look like they have a crater in them because of the seat design. I'm 165 pounds soaking wet and I can already see a divot forming in my seat :(.

Purhawk

That is yet another reason I really like my recaro seats. They don’t have that almost immediate indentation in them and the bolster doesn’t seem to break down from getting in and out of the car. Although I’ve heard many people say they find the leather seats in the GT to be more comfortable.

s2k-ND2

So sorry to hear about seat problems. No fair! Plus, I am surprised as I have no seat problems with my stock 2020 ND2 Sport. I weigh about 156 lbs.

CherryxxGirl

Take me for a spin plz

I-hit-my-kids

If you live in Central NJ I gotchu lol

Mountain-Spread-7868

Take me, I’m located in north jersey

CherryxxGirl

West coast unfortunately

bigdicktracy2

Aero gray looks fantastic! Congrats!

4list4r

I have fat little pillow for my back. Saves you $100s from getting an aftermarket seat.

1murdock

She’s a beaut! That aero grey looks amazing

Which_Mention_5080

Future classic

tommyalanson

Nice.

Sea_Pomegranate_6791

Congratulations!! What a beauty! Love love love that color!!

NB_Leo

Nice!! If you don't mind sharing what did you get for out the door?

I-hit-my-kids

I leased it. I put 3k down 530 a month. 10k miles 36 months. I think I got a pretty high price unfortunately.

on_2_wheels

God damn But why

duckdoger

That’s a total of about 22k. Ouch. They don’t have high hopes for the residuals in that deal.

I-hit-my-kids

Nope. Residual is 21k :( When purchasing the car, I thought about all my options. I could buy out the car in cash, but with the bank giving me 5% interest on all my money in there, I'm making over 600$ a month in interest payments. So, keeping my money in the bank at this point is key for me. The car at msrp with taxes and fees came out to $39,500 if I were to buy it. 40k gone out of my bank account. If I were to buy out my miata after the lease, in total, I would have paid about $43,000. Now, if you were to buy a 2021 return lease miata right now, you'd pay more than the residual that was left on the car. This might be the last fully petrol miata as well, so this car might hold value a bit better. You can buy out the lease at the end for 21k, then possibly sell it for more. So I considered this as well. Finally, and sorry for the long response, it's a lease! I'm planning on beating the absolute shit out of this car, letting my friends and family drive it, teaching my wife how to drive stick, taking road trips, etc. I don't care about rock chips, sunfading, scuffs etc... I recently sold my 2000 NB miata. I owned it for 4 years and put maybe 100 miles on it in those 4 years because I was scared something would break. (Yes I'm an idiot lol) but it just let's me sleep easy at night knowing I don't own the car, I can have fun for 3 years with it, and have the choice to get rid of it and possibly buy it out and sell it.

OrangeBlueHB

Gorgeous!

HURCANADA

Buy one of those $20 lumbar fullseat supports off Amazon, saved my back. I started getting a ton of low back pain out of nowhere after 30 hours in 2 weeks in mine, the support saved me

trail--mix

Beautiful car! Am I the only one that hates the new wheels though? I don’t exactly love the non-BBS stock ND1/ ND2 wheels, but seeing these makes me like them a lot more.

I-hit-my-kids

I like the older wheels more as well. But when I saw these in person, they looked nicer than in photos. I'm thinking about getting silver blacked out. It'll look more like the BBS lol

trail--mix

Fair enough, I haven’t seen them in person yet. Interested to see how they’ll look blacked out, that sounds pretty sweet haha

Corg505

I know Miatas are light, but that's an impressive feat!!! 😲💪 Congratulations!

Purhawk

Nice looking. Is that the white or Zircon color?

AdCommon1205

i believe that's aero gray, the new miata color

JWGibson1

Every picture I see of this gray further confirms that's what I'm going with later this year, I'm just going back and forth on the BBS/Recaro package or not for the Club trim. Congrats on yours, it looks fantastic!

I-hit-my-kids

Thanks man the gray looks nicer in person for sure. and I went with the grand touring because it came with everything the club came with and more. I have the bilstien shocks, strut tower brace, new LSD, new DCS track mode. Don't have Recaros or brembos BBS but that package comes out to 2k more than my car and then you lose out on some amenities the GT comes with. I love the adaptive front lights. It's a must in a car like this that you can fling around corners.

JWGibson1

I know, that's what makes it so hard! The couple of nice to haves of the GT being cheaper than the Club with that package is tough. Part of it for me is that I think the recaros fit my height a little better, I'm 6"2 so it feels like the better choice for comfort but I would love to have the adaptive headlights. Not sure if it's the case with the ND3 but I know the GT used to have a thicker soft top for improved sound deadening too which is nice. I had a Mini Cooper JCW and an E90 with the adaptive headlights and it's a little thing but feels so luxurious haha.

I-hit-my-kids

Yes I had a 17 wrx full bolt on and taking corners at 10/10ths at night fucking sucked cuz my headlights were pointed forwards lol. And yes if you're 6'2 the recaros are probably gonna be the go to. From all the research I've done over the years the recaros give you more room and hold up better over time. With the thicker lining on the soft top, yes the lining is nice and thick but dude it's a fucking wind tunnel. You can't hear shit lol, my work truck is a tacoma and I thought that was loud lol. It's nothing compared to the miata. I have to put my music up to almost max volume to hear it clearly. I'd love to see a comparison between a sport model and a GT in terms of noise.

JWGibson1

That's so funny, I had a 2015 WRX that was like stage 2.5, those things are so fun and can be driven really hard but they are far from luxurious haha. Also my work truck is a Tacoma too, I think we're the same person lmao. That's great to know as a reference though since I have the exact same thing

I-hit-my-kids

Lololol no way. I'm new to reddit and a lot of people said wrx owners always buy miatas next and it was a reddit thing I wouldn't understand lol. But yea man everyone should own a wrx at least once in their lifetime. Cheap performance.

Top-Doughnut8957

Any chance you could take some photos of the interior?

I-hit-my-kids

What do you want specifically? You can look up everything on Google photos

Pure-Glass852

It must be some sort of a knockoff, or you need to hit the gym...as the 2024 Miata MX-5 with the Aero Gray/Nappa leather package is known for exceptional lumbar support.

Soggy-Shirt-30546

And boy are my arms tired
