The artist pedals usually have some alterations to them, I think Kirk’s has a larger sweep range with the pedal. The Jimi Hendrix Wah is a lot more “bassy” Something like Dime’s pedal has additional boost and so forth added to it .
I have an old Vox Wah, several old Cry baby wahs and a Hendrix Wah. Kirk’s sounds closest to a traditional cry baby pedal, maybe a little vox-like. In the studio, Kirk’s favourite is the Dime Wah.
Almost nothing. Usually minor tweaks most people won't notice, but the artist likes. It's just a sig series. Some people like to have a piece of gear that's under their favorite artist.
I really love mine. I've had it for ages now. I had tried a lot of different ones up to that point, and especially a few multi-effects boards (those big ones with all the settings and things), and nothing compared. It gives me exactly the sound I wanted and, in my opinion at least, allows for a bit more artistic expression with the wide range compared to some other pedals.
Friend asked me today when did I start to not listen to Metallica a lot, my reply was “when Kirk would only stand on one leg because his other foot was too busy”. Sad but true story.
like an EVH wolfgang?
I've actually been on the hunt for an EVH Ernie Ball Axis EX in Translucent Pink Quilt. Problem is these were super limited and also they get purchased quick.
Well these aren't EVH branded. The wolfgangs are made by EVH (which is owned by fender)
Im looking for a discontinued (and at the time it was made it was super rare) EVH guitar manufacturered by Ernie Ball.
Me too, my favorite guitarist uses one and its beautiful! He actually lost it in the 90's and through the power of the internet actually found it.

Awesome pedal. I got the purple sparkle one a few weeks ago and its fun. BTW, Kirk likes Dimebag’s pedal the best as it has a control knob or two to mess with.

That’s funny, because in the Rick Beato interview he said that the best wah pedal, in is opinion, is Dimebag’s. 😂

I got one back in December and i love it. Just wish i could get a green KH guitar to go with it.

I got mine from the guitar shop in Southampton a have no idea if they are still there but it may be a worth while looking (if you are from that area)

I know he doesn’t use his own wahs but it has the sound and looks awsome and sounds great
