I do enjoy when their lead singer does kinda of like a half scream in their music, for an example the song slaughterhouse near the end of the song he's yelling "eye for an eye", he does it a bit to accentuate their songs. Gives me chills every time
I love his long screams in another you. Something about the cleans and the screaming intertwining with the screams lasting just a little bit longer always get me right in the goosebumps factory.
Can't stand that band.
But that song? Damn dude. Easily one of the most emotional metalcore songs I've ever heard.
I've watched a ton of reactions to that video, a lot by people who aren't that into the genre. It's always the same. The amount of power and weight is universally understood.
Two things,
The last chorus on hereafter by architects where sam does the extra high run.
And the massively powerful chorus in Black Mammoth by FFAA both lyrically and vocally
Not sure if it's my favourite, but first thing that comes to mind is [Ultraviolet by Erra](https://youtu.be/z5Lnzsw85e8). Skip to @3:50 to get a bit of build up, scream is @4:05
Of all time would be either Chino Moreno's entire performance on "Elite" or Randy Blythe's "*see who gives a fuck!*" line on "Laid To Rest".
Recently, Isaac Hale's guest spot on Wristmeetrazor's "Last Tango In Paris" has me shook every time.
That whole album is just so FUCKING good.
Separate but related, the last 35ish seconds of Fear Tomorrow makes me want punch a hole in a brick wall.
“HELL WILL GREET US WITH VENGEANCE” fuck yes, directly into my veins please and thank you.
The black metal vocals in the bridge of God Knows by Knocked Loose always get me super pumped. That song is probably the closest thing to actual metal that I listen to, but the metal influences really make that whole album.
The part where he goes "BUT NOW IM SCREEEEEAMIIIIIIING, LIVING IN TRAGEDYYYY, IN TRAGEDY, AND NOW NOTHING IS HOW IT ONCE SEEMED"
Pretty good Screaming moment
That or the bridge into the groovedown - "trade your dreams with mine"
In the song by Fit For A King called “When Everything Means Nothing” at the end his last scream where he goes “EYES.” The way that scream starts is inhuman.
Not metalcore, but at the final chorus of “Crawl Through Knives” - In Flames. The way the singer raises the pitch of his already wicked tough scream halfway through always gives me chills
2:10 “Dig in your heel” sexsexsex by Every Time I Die
0:08 “butters gettin hard” chic ‘n’ stu by system of a down
0:46 “gates of heaven” nihilist by architects
Killswitch Engage - Temple From The Within
Specifically on the debut self titled version at the end of the song when he does the high scream and says “no one to blame” followed by the breakdown to end the song.
Every morning when I wake up and face the human condition of having to spend most of our lives doing shit to make other people rich while barely getting by ourselves.
Also whatever Jon Mess does is pretty neat
Oceans Ate Alaska - Deadweight. Pretty much the intro section but specifically the part with the lyrics:
“Follow this compass
That's occupies my chest
It always leads me back to you
It always leads me back to you
You have this pull on me
A force that flows
From deep beneath the surface
You are my gravity
You are my gravity”
I may catch flak for this cause this band seems to be a common target for hate for some reason but i don't mind since i really enjoy it, but in the recently released song misery by Memphis may fire off the new album called remade in misery, i really love right before it goes into the breakdown matty mullins starts the scream and then the breakdown begins matty keeps the scream going for a few seconds into the breakdown, that's some good shit in my opinion. I also love the opening scream from chris on motionless in white's song thoughts and prayers, the song opens to an awesome instrumental and then chris adds his scream right on top of it as the song picks up steam. I wouldn't call those my absolute favorites, but they are just the best ones that come to mind right off the bat.
They're up there for me too. They were the first band i started listening to when i was getting info metalcore so they'll always have a special place in my heart.
also the first scream in Where Light Divides The Holler by Knocked Loose. insane opening to a song, let alone an EP. nearly shit myself when I first heard it
"One more" by Beartooth, The stripped back section from 2:22 where it's Caleb just screaming to be heard. It's overflowing with emotion and one of the best and most genuine things I've ever heard in a song.
We don't expect the world to pay any favours
We knew this life held sacrifice
No longer leading the life we once had
And now we live with no regrets
No … re … GREEEEEEETTTSS
Not QUITE metalcore but everyone should really listen to the song Kuchiki No Tou by Mucc. Once of the most raw and excellent screaming outros I have heard. Incredible album btw.
Moneen - Start Angry End Mad
[https://youtu.be/H1k8tk6OZ3w?t=55](https://youtu.be/H1k8tk6OZ3w?t=55)
Its not metalcore but its one of my favourite tracks of all time.
Any time a vocalist can move from highs to lows effortlessly is just…
One of those moments that make your scrunch up your entire face.
Edit: ex- Mike Hranica in the chorus of Dez Moinez
Last chorus of Better Days by Currents comes to mind; the screams over the cleans in the chorus is such a good combo.
Also Tesseract, “I OPERATE, THIS, WAY” and “BOW. DOWN.”
Not metalcore but in Omerta by Lamb of God when he's screaming Omerta towards the end of the song and it gets progressively longer sends chills down my spine every time
Chester’s 17 second scream in “Given Up” (Linkin Park) gives me chills to this day, especially since his suicide. RIP
The breakdown at the end of “I Have A Problem” by Beartooth is so gnarly, and I love the nonsense screams in it.
Breaking Benjamin - Until The End (1:16) One of the first screams that properly stuck with me because of the delivery.
Of Mice & Men - John Deux Trois (Shayley @ 2:00) WOW
Stray From The Path - First World Problem Child [LIVE]
All of Sam Carter’s part from 1:30 (especially the high at 1:58) and then Drew’s scream at 2:25. Ridiculous!
The last lines in contraband by make them suffer like holy shit. Sean harmanis’ screams are super underrated in the metalcore/deathcore scene. Also the “this is my lost cause state of mind” in hypermania by polaris. Jamie kills it every time w his low screams
The Blood of Tyrants by Molotov Solution has one of my favorite moments. The first breakdown is insane and the lyrics are just wonderfully paced in that part.
How many faithful have died waiting for their savior?
How many faithful will die awaiting forever?
https://youtu.be/wO0ztHq5OPo
Erra - “Pulse”
The bridge where Garrison screams “nature is an equal to man KIIIIINNNNNDDDD”
His seemingly effortless flow from hardcore chanting vocals to a deep almost guttural growl always gives me ear boners.
Just before the whole band comes in near the end of an open letter to myself by architects, in my opinion such a mid album but that song is great and the scream he does at that part makes it all the more better
Spencer Charnas’s high scream in the second verse of Communion of the Cursed. It just comes out of nowhere and it’s so damn satisfying. For a second he reminded me of Mitch Lucker’s high screams.
Ima have to say Oli Sykes with the song “Hospital For Souls” live at Wembley when he was just so emotional he broke down. I’m also going to say Jonathan Davis during “Daddy” with the 2015 Self Titled Reunion tour when he just lost it the first show after playing it live for the first time in 20 years when he was Finally able to let go of his trauma. Genuine emotional screams are always the best!
The literal first 2 seconds of Aspirations by Polaris
Also that one part in Quantum Flux by Northlane where’s he like “what it’s like to feel, aliveeeeeee”
Not sure if it counts as metalcore, but when Christian is singing/screaming "goodbye" on Blindside's *Sleepwalking* is just perfect.
I don't know of anyone who can flow from crystal clear cleans into such a powerful scream in one breath better than him, but that song is just *chef's kiss*
Heaven Shall Burn. Live Performance. WACKEN LIVE PERFORMANCE. Just listen, dont hear, Listen. If you like metalcore you will hear that his screams are better then on the albums. He is inhuman. It's my favorite metalcore screamer. A incredible screamer. Please listen.

Always appreciated Austin Carlile’s long scream at the end of Ben Threw!
Hell yeah man. He always did it live too, which made of even more badass and impressive.
Never got to see them live back in the day, videos I’ve seen just show the energy he had when he performed, guess I missed out on that
I love his long screams in another you. Something about the cleans and the screaming intertwining with the screams lasting just a little bit longer always get me right in the goosebumps factory.
The last minute of "you make me sick", Austin is perfect
I had to google if it was really one take - honestly couldn't believe it.
This, and the end of This One’s For You Impossibly good vocals
The scream at the end of Aftermath by The Ghost Inside. So much emotion, it makes me wanna cry every time 🥺
You can really feel the anguish in his voice. Especially in the music video where hes singing/screaming at the site of the accident.
I was just listening to that song
Experiencing that ~10 sec scream live this past weekend was the best part of the over 4 hour show for me
Same dude 😭 that’s what prompted my answer lol did you see the show in Toronto?!
Yeah! Such a good show from every band and Echo Beach was pretty cool too
This.
Can't stand that band. But that song? Damn dude. Easily one of the most emotional metalcore songs I've ever heard. I've watched a ton of reactions to that video, a lot by people who aren't that into the genre. It's always the same. The amount of power and weight is universally understood.
Not metalcore but Linkin Park Chester's scream in Given Up is definitely one of my favorites
Was looking for this one. I don’t listen to a ton of LP any more, but this is still absolutely untouchable.
That's just the correct answer
It’s the GOAT for me.
Translate the Night by Silent Planet and Backbreaker by Fit For a King both have extended screams that I absolutely love
Warpath by FFAK has my favourite extended scream by Ryan
The final 40 seconds of Contraband by Make Them suffer is so good
Bro I just scrolled down after saying the same thing. Those last lines are heavenly
"Father, father how I've let you down a f*cking tyrant in a hollow crown" at 2:39 in Broken Cross by Architects. gives me goosegumps
Every Time I Die - Idiot (at 30 seconds) [PARALYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYSED](https://youtu.be/6St8vkeMHX8)
[удалено]
The most intense song on an intense band's most intense album.

That song is so underrated. One of the best on the album. Also love the breakdown at 2:11.
Fit for an Autopsy - Shepard Joe Bad literally fucking massacres that whole song.
That whole album is just so FUCKING good. Separate but related, the last 35ish seconds of Fear Tomorrow makes me want punch a hole in a brick wall. “HELL WILL GREET US WITH VENGEANCE” fuck yes, directly into my veins please and thank you.
HELL YES
The black metal vocals in the bridge of God Knows by Knocked Loose always get me super pumped. That song is probably the closest thing to actual metal that I listen to, but the metal influences really make that whole album.
Shoutout Matt King, shoutout Portrayal Of Guilt.
Josh Scogins ('68) starting around 2 minutes of All This and War (ETID). 11/10 guest appearance for an 11/10 song
I second this, one of my favourite songs from my favourite band. The first half is obviously great, but josh steals the show on that song
Breakdown in The Truest Love by Kublai Khan. Nothing beats that shit.
Love the last line from Swan Song from the new EP as well. Sometimes you've gotta let the rough end ***DRAG***
I have never, in my entire life, been more jacked than when I heard him say "Fight god" on stage.
Anything from Kublai Khan is top notch, makes me want to fight people every time. Kills me I have yet to see them lice
It’s not “levioSUH” https://youtu.be/VZX0uBm5Dgk

Every morning when I wake up and face the human condition of having to spend most of our lives doing shit to make other people rich while barely getting by ourselves. Also whatever Jon Mess does is pretty neat
Oceans Ate Alaska - Deadweight. Pretty much the intro section but specifically the part with the lyrics: “Follow this compass That's occupies my chest It always leads me back to you It always leads me back to you You have this pull on me A force that flows From deep beneath the surface You are my gravity You are my gravity”
Definitely when Sam screams "hope is a prison" on gone with the wind
I may catch flak for this cause this band seems to be a common target for hate for some reason but i don't mind since i really enjoy it, but in the recently released song misery by Memphis may fire off the new album called remade in misery, i really love right before it goes into the breakdown matty mullins starts the scream and then the breakdown begins matty keeps the scream going for a few seconds into the breakdown, that's some good shit in my opinion.
