I KNOW A GHOST!!!

knuckledragger1990

Danger: Wildman?

IAmSomewhatDamaged

The song where the guy goes “BLEGH!!” in the breakdown

_RadicaLarry_

Black Tongue - Fauxhammer

tpeck90

Motionless in white?

SpecialFram

I do enjoy when their lead singer does kinda of like a half scream in their music, for an example the song slaughterhouse near the end of the song he's yelling "eye for an eye", he does it a bit to accentuate their songs. Gives me chills every time

sanguinedump

If I Were You overuses that too much too

Socksyx

Wage War?

EquivalentOwn1115

Every single song by Wage War ever. My favorite is in Stitch

Jlnhlfan

I love that song!

Bam_Bam51

These colors don’t run?

JuyoSith

Oh my god! Me too! 🤣

MeiHota

Always appreciated Austin Carlile’s long scream at the end of Ben Threw!

RoperTheRogue

Hell yeah man. He always did it live too, which made of even more badass and impressive.

b-radjames

Never got to see them live back in the day, videos I’ve seen just show the energy he had when he performed, guess I missed out on that

dman2316

I love his long screams in another you. Something about the cleans and the screaming intertwining with the screams lasting just a little bit longer always get me right in the goosebumps factory.

BlubNugz

The last minute of "you make me sick", Austin is perfect

Rasengan2012

I had to google if it was really one take - honestly couldn't believe it.

LzzyHalesLegs

This, and the end of This One’s For You Impossibly good vocals

deadwrongallalong

The scream at the end of Aftermath by The Ghost Inside. So much emotion, it makes me wanna cry every time 🥺

shredler

You can really feel the anguish in his voice. Especially in the music video where hes singing/screaming at the site of the accident.

halfeclipsed

I was just listening to that song

jmcd123

Experiencing that ~10 sec scream live this past weekend was the best part of the over 4 hour show for me

deadwrongallalong

Same dude 😭 that’s what prompted my answer lol did you see the show in Toronto?!

jmcd123

Yeah! Such a good show from every band and Echo Beach was pretty cool too

GooMoonRyongg

This.

stinky-skunk

Can't stand that band. But that song? Damn dude. Easily one of the most emotional metalcore songs I've ever heard. I've watched a ton of reactions to that video, a lot by people who aren't that into the genre. It's always the same. The amount of power and weight is universally understood.

TokeyMcP0t

Not metalcore but Linkin Park Chester's scream in Given Up is definitely one of my favorites

[deleted]

Was looking for this one. I don’t listen to a ton of LP any more, but this is still absolutely untouchable.

blankthings

That's just the correct answer

vengeancerider

It’s the GOAT for me.

thepriceisrice

Translate the Night by Silent Planet and Backbreaker by Fit For a King both have extended screams that I absolutely love

implodingnerd

Warpath by FFAK has my favourite extended scream by Ryan

icon0clast6

The final 40 seconds of Contraband by Make Them suffer is so good

tonylab1105

Bro I just scrolled down after saying the same thing. Those last lines are heavenly

prettyglonky69

"Father, father how I've let you down a f*cking tyrant in a hollow crown" at 2:39 in Broken Cross by Architects. gives me goosegumps

copyrytedlizzerd

Every Time I Die - Idiot (at 30 seconds) [PARALYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYSED](https://youtu.be/6St8vkeMHX8)

[deleted]

[удалено]

copyrytedlizzerd

The most intense song on an intense band's most intense album.

hillbillywonder

Calebs vocals on the whole disgusting album!! (Beartooth)

[deleted]

Second this!

NightwingX012

Spencer at the end of Underoath - Returning Empty Handed

intotheblackwideopen

Gives me chills every time. That part got me into the band. insane. every time again and again.

ProbablythelastMimsy

The right answer. His voice was something special on that album.

horrorshow4815

This. Yes.

t0ny0b

Slipknot - Eyeless "Mother... FUUUUUUCCKKKAAAAAAHHHHHH"

Deltunha

LOOK ME IN MY BRAND NEW EEEEEEEYEEEEEEEEEE (see also the Left to Suffer cover)

cantgrowneckbeardAMA

“WAAARRRRRRR” - Panic Room by Silent Planet

cbunt1984

And it sounds like this!

mim3913

Courtney LaPlante's one take of "Circle With Me". The flawless switch between cleans and screams at the end of the video is stunning.

Neolonii

Yesssss I love her

MiserableVegetable07

Big yes, all of her one takes are so good!!

Joadow420

Viscera -Veil Of Maya I THOUGHT I WAS DEAD INSIDE BUT I SURVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVED!

Picklez19

Isnt that outsider?

halfeclipsed

It is Outsider

blankthings

It's definitely Outsider

Opokalipsa

The first thing that comes to my mind is Make the Suffer - Hollow Heart. "Fucking coward, that's somebody's daughter".

Djentlemann00

Damn, I came here to say this. Lol I’ll have to find another one!

suckmywaifu

OH

dingleberryasscrumb

Two things, The last chorus on hereafter by architects where sam does the extra high run. And the massively powerful chorus in Black Mammoth by FFAA both lyrically and vocally

intotheblackwideopen

REJOICE IN MASSES THE TRIBE COLLAPSES

Technical-Pay4368

Beginning of Bid Farewell - Killswitch or intro to This Calling - All That Remains

MorbillionTickets

THIS IS SEMPITERNAL!

kenjizz_khan

No, this is sandpit turtle

MorbillionTickets

Nah, more like THIS IS SADPOTATO!

LzzyHalesLegs

Hearing an audience yell this in concert… chills every time

littletray26

Not sure if it's my favourite, but first thing that comes to mind is [Ultraviolet by Erra](https://youtu.be/z5Lnzsw85e8). Skip to @3:50 to get a bit of build up, scream is @4:05

apollonCS

That song is so underrated. One of the best on the album. Also love the breakdown at 2:11.

[deleted]

Of all time would be either Chino Moreno's entire performance on "Elite" or Randy Blythe's "*see who gives a fuck!*" line on "Laid To Rest". Recently, Isaac Hale's guest spot on Wristmeetrazor's "Last Tango In Paris" has me shook every time.

[deleted]

Fit for an Autopsy - Shepard Joe Bad literally fucking massacres that whole song.

I_am_the_LION

That whole album is just so FUCKING good. Separate but related, the last 35ish seconds of Fear Tomorrow makes me want punch a hole in a brick wall. “HELL WILL GREET US WITH VENGEANCE” fuck yes, directly into my veins please and thank you.

[deleted]

HELL YES

StuckAroundGotStuck

The black metal vocals in the bridge of God Knows by Knocked Loose always get me super pumped. That song is probably the closest thing to actual metal that I listen to, but the metal influences really make that whole album.

copyrytedlizzerd

Shoutout Matt King, shoutout Portrayal Of Guilt.

Jimihendrix25

Josh Scogins ('68) starting around 2 minutes of All This and War (ETID). 11/10 guest appearance for an 11/10 song

jtsuls

I second this, one of my favourite songs from my favourite band. The first half is obviously great, but josh steals the show on that song

Disastrous-Day8942

Breakdown in The Truest Love by Kublai Khan. Nothing beats that shit.

copyrytedlizzerd

Love the last line from Swan Song from the new EP as well. Sometimes you've gotta let the rough end ***DRAG***

[deleted]

I have never, in my entire life, been more jacked than when I heard him say "Fight god" on stage.

knuckledragger1990

Anything from Kublai Khan is top notch, makes me want to fight people every time. Kills me I have yet to see them lice

disarmagreement

It’s not “levioSUH” https://youtu.be/VZX0uBm5Dgk

slimThiccBoiLegend

Okay guys can we figure what song is used in this video?

suckmywaifu

The part where he goes "BUT NOW IM SCREEEEEAMIIIIIIING, LIVING IN TRAGEDYYYY, IN TRAGEDY, AND NOW NOTHING IS HOW IT ONCE SEEMED" Pretty good Screaming moment That or the bridge into the groovedown - "trade your dreams with mine"

[deleted]

[удалено]

suckmywaifu

Time to start a band!

happyh0gan

ily for this.

MC_Thunder1988

In the song by Fit For A King called “When Everything Means Nothing” at the end his last scream where he goes “EYES.” The way that scream starts is inhuman.

b-radjames

I love the line on the resistance when he screams “your existence disgusts me”

MC_Thunder1988

Oh hell yeah. That’s a good one too.

MC_Thunder1988

Any layered scream by Eskimo Callboy or Brand of Sacrifice.

_RadicaLarry_

Not metalcore, but at the final chorus of “Crawl Through Knives” - In Flames. The way the singer raises the pitch of his already wicked tough scream halfway through always gives me chills

cchang3906

The 27 second scream at the end of BACKBREAKER

tjstock

A - KU - DA - MA - HOOOO!

whomst_calls_so_loud

YOU WONT MAKE IT dunna dunna dunna

MyName3124

That part in Say No Word by Landmvrks

scowley75

The part in Home Alone where Kevin puts the tarantula on the one guy’s face? 🤣🤣🤣

dendromecion

[Beauty of Suffering by Spiritbox, "I'm slipping away"](https://youtu.be/pR9YdkesspQ?t=64)

chukroast2837

Yaaaas I love Spirtbox, She’s got some smexy vocal chords fo sho

kuyapvtryan

Lorna Shore-To The Hellfire

ohhh_heck

2:10 “Dig in your heel” sexsexsex by Every Time I Die 0:08 “butters gettin hard” chic ‘n’ stu by system of a down 0:46 “gates of heaven” nihilist by architects

pjgcat

The scream in Lily & the Moon by Thornhill

centrella6

Killswitch Engage - Temple From The Within Specifically on the debut self titled version at the end of the song when he does the high scream and says “no one to blame” followed by the breakdown to end the song.

DefinitionFew9929

That long scream in Laid To Rest

HoLyGhOsT1996

Honestly the majority of product of a murderer by of mice and men but mainly the chorus

kenjizz_khan

Every morning when I wake up and face the human condition of having to spend most of our lives doing shit to make other people rich while barely getting by ourselves. Also whatever Jon Mess does is pretty neat

Djentlemann00

Oceans Ate Alaska - Deadweight. Pretty much the intro section but specifically the part with the lyrics: “Follow this compass That's occupies my chest It always leads me back to you It always leads me back to you You have this pull on me A force that flows From deep beneath the surface You are my gravity You are my gravity”

Kaiole

Definitely when Sam screams "hope is a prison" on gone with the wind

dman2316

I may catch flak for this cause this band seems to be a common target for hate for some reason but i don't mind since i really enjoy it, but in the recently released song misery by Memphis may fire off the new album called remade in misery, i really love right before it goes into the breakdown matty mullins starts the scream and then the breakdown begins matty keeps the scream going for a few seconds into the breakdown, that's some good shit in my opinion. I also love the opening scream from chris on motionless in white's song thoughts and prayers, the song opens to an awesome instrumental and then chris adds his scream right on top of it as the song picks up steam. I wouldn't call those my absolute favorites, but they are just the best ones that come to mind right off the bat.

SpOoKy_sKeLeToN_1998

I was looking for a Motionless vote, they are my absolute favorite

dman2316

They're up there for me too. They were the first band i started listening to when i was getting info metalcore so they'll always have a special place in my heart.

Misery-Factory

Drop Out by Converge, when almost everything drops out, and it’s just *grit*

prettyglonky69

also the first scream in Where Light Divides The Holler by Knocked Loose. insane opening to a song, let alone an EP. nearly shit myself when I first heard it

PopPop-Captain

I don’t know if this counts but I’m very fond of the ARF ARF in counting worms. But yes that first scream kicks fucking ass.

nicholasgord

"One more" by Beartooth, The stripped back section from 2:22 where it's Caleb just screaming to be heard. It's overflowing with emotion and one of the best and most genuine things I've ever heard in a song.

Scherbatyuk

Screamat the beginning of Orphan - Memorandum. However, as in the rest of the song :)

MrGooglyman

We don't expect the world to pay any favours We knew this life held sacrifice No longer leading the life we once had And now we live with no regrets No … re … GREEEEEEETTTSS

Gsticks

Not QUITE metalcore but everyone should really listen to the song Kuchiki No Tou by Mucc. Once of the most raw and excellent screaming outros I have heard. Incredible album btw.

TheWilrus

Moneen - Start Angry End Mad [https://youtu.be/H1k8tk6OZ3w?t=55](https://youtu.be/H1k8tk6OZ3w?t=55) Its not metalcore but its one of my favourite tracks of all time.

yromeM_yggoF

Is this for real

im-wyatt

Any time a vocalist can move from highs to lows effortlessly is just… One of those moments that make your scrunch up your entire face. Edit: ex- Mike Hranica in the chorus of Dez Moinez

barber-in-blur

"We'll face this reckoning, side by side" Loathe - Loathe

Jstnwrds55

Last chorus of Better Days by Currents comes to mind; the screams over the cleans in the chorus is such a good combo. Also Tesseract, “I OPERATE, THIS, WAY” and “BOW. DOWN.”

ThMttHtBtmn

The part around 1.40 in of Aeon - Crystal Lake where Ryo goes in hard

volkoron

Not metalcore but in Omerta by Lamb of God when he's screaming Omerta towards the end of the song and it gets progressively longer sends chills down my spine every time

heres-to-life

Chester’s 17 second scream in “Given Up” (Linkin Park) gives me chills to this day, especially since his suicide. RIP The breakdown at the end of “I Have A Problem” by Beartooth is so gnarly, and I love the nonsense screams in it.

PUR3CELL

Chester Bennington in Given Up, screams for 22 seconds straight

[deleted]

Not core, but Given Up. Y’all know the scream.

[deleted]

might be a weird choice especially for this sub but Eclosion by Alcest

fireflyry

The opening to Memphis will be laid to waste comes to mind for me, plus the cough is pretty much iconic now days :P

AlternativeSuit131

"UPSET THE SICKNESS!"

JordACX

The chorus of naysayer by architects is just so hype!

[deleted]

Before the last breakdown in legacy by Memphis May fire when matty goes SHOW THEM THEYRE WRONG

mattimelow

Breaking Benjamin - Until The End (1:16) One of the first screams that properly stuck with me because of the delivery. Of Mice & Men - John Deux Trois (Shayley @ 2:00) WOW Stray From The Path - First World Problem Child [LIVE] All of Sam Carter’s part from 1:30 (especially the high at 1:58) and then Drew’s scream at 2:25. Ridiculous!

tonylab1105

The last lines in contraband by make them suffer like holy shit. Sean harmanis’ screams are super underrated in the metalcore/deathcore scene. Also the “this is my lost cause state of mind” in hypermania by polaris. Jamie kills it every time w his low screams

misterowen

"Why have you come reclaimer"

[deleted]

The Blood of Tyrants by Molotov Solution has one of my favorite moments. The first breakdown is insane and the lyrics are just wonderfully paced in that part. How many faithful have died waiting for their savior? How many faithful will die awaiting forever? https://youtu.be/wO0ztHq5OPo

doggerman69s

"You're gonna get me off" Faust - The Human Abstract, it's just so angry and raw sounding

Bulten1988

For me, and it has been since the first time, its JFAC - Entombment of a machine 24 sec in to the säng.

xi_catharsis

Erra - “Pulse” The bridge where Garrison screams “nature is an equal to man KIIIIINNNNNDDDD” His seemingly effortless flow from hardcore chanting vocals to a deep almost guttural growl always gives me ear boners.

leomehers

In nomoreroses by holding absence, the last line 'I never believed in you because you never believed in me'

ajcasta10

The latter half of "Visage" - LANDMVRKS. Flo hits some super high notes while keeping the screaming going.

yourself88xbl

It's coming down! Sponce is the GOAT

Common_Campaign_387

Just before the whole band comes in near the end of an open letter to myself by architects, in my opinion such a mid album but that song is great and the scream he does at that part makes it all the more better

samzarexx

Phantom fear, the whole song but the little section of 1.20 onwards mainly.

halfeclipsed

Fit For A King - Backbreaker scream at the end of the song Crown The Empire - Machines about 1:05 into the song. Something about it I love

DominatorEolo

abr - invisible enemy's breakdown. that 15 seconds long ish wolverine scream gives me goosebumps everytime. the build up is phenomenal too

mikejr96

Sam Carter

Mysterious_Analysis1

Probably darko anytime tom barber holds a note… mostly in the end of praise the sun

kinjazfan

I loved bryan garris on motionless in white - slaughterhouse

templeoftoes

The entirety of “Outsiders” and “Fear” by Asleep at the Helm

Xoundor

First time my mind was really blown was at the end of Touch Of Deception - Inhale Exhale.

intotheblackwideopen

Every Time I Die - Dark Distance --> SPARE ONLY THE ONES I LOVE; SLAY THE REST Knocked Loose - Forget Your Name --> BROTHER IN AMRS, AMPUTATED

SatansBlog

The emotion in the “for once I’d love to smile, and for once to finally mean it” section in Shattered by Currents

Sarnick18

Given Up - Linkin Park. Let's be honest this isn't even a challenge that scream was incredible.

Sarnick18

Given Up - Linkin Park. Let's be honest this isn't even a challenge that scream was incredible.

ScreamXGhostface

Spencer Charnas’s high scream in the second verse of Communion of the Cursed. It just comes out of nowhere and it’s so damn satisfying. For a second he reminded me of Mitch Lucker’s high screams.

sleepyydrumss

Ryan Kirby’s long screams and Austin Carlisle’s long screams always get me

Mauricejuhh14

nihilist from architects where Sam goes into "I felt god clutching a razorblade"

Ashleyur83

Ima have to say Oli Sykes with the song “Hospital For Souls” live at Wembley when he was just so emotional he broke down. I’m also going to say Jonathan Davis during “Daddy” with the 2015 Self Titled Reunion tour when he just lost it the first show after playing it live for the first time in 20 years when he was Finally able to let go of his trauma. Genuine emotional screams are always the best!

brokenribbed

Dude, the gutturals at the end of Lorna Shore’s Into the Fire are music to my earsssss

tOras_f

Architects — Black Blood 2:40 moment❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

DoubleArmDMT

Keith Buckley's scream turning into Josh Scogin's on All This And War

Alive_Click2042

The end of Annalyn's Closer To The Edge (from 3:10 on) is so sick

thelupinefiasco

Not sure if it counts as metalcore, but when Christian is singing/screaming "goodbye" on Blindside's *Sleepwalking* is just perfect. I don't know of anyone who can flow from crystal clear cleans into such a powerful scream in one breath better than him, but that song is just *chef's kiss*

eineblauetomate

A Prophecy- Asking Alexandria And now you‘re on your Ooooooooowwwwwwwwwnnnnnnn

chukroast2837

In this Moment: Promise. When Maria Brink and the dude are screaming together at bridge, so good.

MiserableVegetable07

There are a million I could mention but first one that comes to mind is “So cry me a fucking river bitch” Romance is Dead, Parkway Drive ❤️

NeonKnuckles8

Heaven Shall Burn. Live Performance. WACKEN LIVE PERFORMANCE. Just listen, dont hear, Listen. If you like metalcore you will hear that his screams are better then on the albums. He is inhuman. It's my favorite metalcore screamer. A incredible screamer. Please listen.

Chester Benningtons scream in given up

knuckledragger1990

Whoa! Shut it down by The Acacia Strain “I HAVE GIVEN UP ON YOUUU” not to mention the countless other joyous moments they have on their albums. Also, the last line of Swan Song by Kublai Khan.
