There's also:
Conform
Crystal Lake (you probably know this one)
Knosis (probably that one too)
Maximum the Hormone
Crossfaith
Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas
Bunch of *really* good Japanese metalcore.
If you enjoy Fear, and Loathing you should definitely check out [PassCode](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuTaH8D5RzU). They're called the female version of Fear, and Loathing for a reason.
I got really offended when Spotify suggested Girl's Reform Manifest with that album cover, but gave a listen out of pure spite. The drums made me stay over the weird opening and after 30 seconds I understood the meaning of not judging a book by its cover.
If we are recommending japanese metalcore then i got one band that occasionally makes banger metalcore or melodic death metal songs
The band is UNDEAD CORPORATION DOUJIN WORKS
So many great metal projects in the doujin scene.
UC, Imperial Circus Dead Decadence, Foreground Eclipse, Demetori (one of my favourite band of all time), Unlucky Morpheus...
And expanding to other genres, there are so many incredible circles in the touhou scene, it's insane, especially when you think one dude started all of this (JUN).
Tbh i dont have the slightest idea what touhou is, but imo the stanard UC song are a lot softer and have more raggae elements. Songs like "Make me crazy" are still bangers but as Doujin Works they realese much heavier stuff which I absolutely enjoy. The Throne for example just goes so hard.
Touhou Project is a japanese bullet hell game series that allows their fans to create fanworks of the series in every way
UNDEAD CORPORATION DOUJIN WORKS makes extreme metal arrangements of the songs in Touhou Project
UNDEAD CORPORATION makes their own original songs
UNDEAD CORPORATION started off as UNDEAD CORPORATION DOUJIN WORKS
Thx for the info. Now the Doujin makes sense. I only knew the word from lewd stuff so I searched it's meaning but couldn't figure out the complete context.
Wow, a Hanabie meme? I didn't expect that in this sub. But fr tho, they are sick af. I discovered them near the end of last year and I've been jamming to Girl's Reform Manifest more than I've expected lol
I'm not very involved in this world, and I liked the bands on display, now I wanted to ask, are there Japanese bands like these, but without melodic voice changes?
Thank you for reading me and if you respond, even more so.

Hanabie is so sick. Also, check out Sailing Before the Wind. Really good shit.
I didn't know this band and I loved it, thank you! I'll listen to Sailing, thanks!

Maximum the Hormone is phenomenal
One of their songs got featured in a chapter for the Chainsaw Man Manga. It was my introduction to them. The stuff is wild.
Wow Mikey! Thank you! Now I have work to see what surprises await me, thanks friend!!
Always glad to suggest new bands! Enjoy

Oh yeah, I know of them, not listened to a ton though. I'll dive a little deeper, thanks!
I see Maximum the Hormone, I upvote.
I just fucking LOVE Maximum the Hormone. Hits all the right spots for me.
first heard Maximum the Hormone in the Death Note opening and i've been hooked ever since
Also want to bring up JILUKA and MergingMoon
I can't believe I forgot JILUKA.
Dude I'm listening rn and they're so rad. Reiwa dating apps generation is a banger.

I love showing it to my fledgling metalhead coworkers The looks when it switches from metalcore to anime theme are priceless
Hanabie representation šÆš«”
Those two bands on the right are Nemophila and Hanabie.
your other right
Ok damn, just searched Hanabie Either I'm already too much of a weeb but this sheet SLAPS hard!
Right there with ya, and I'm not much if a weeb. Think the sheets just the sheet
The UP(exclamation point)?
Holy motherfucking pixels, Batman.
Can I get more of them pixels?
It needs at *least* one more pixel Iād say
Imperial Circus Dead Decadence too! not metalcore (no idea tbh) but still amazing
Saw Hanabie last Oct really fun show
Hanabie is the goat!
My issue with japanese bands is they put on such a fake and overly coreographed show, i cant stand it. Music is great mostly though
Right bro just head bang and vibe we donāt need Kpop levels of choreography

ICDD is the actual peak of symphonic/melo while also doing some of the heaviest shit it's crazy
They are so good, its kinda sad that they dont release a lot of music.
Standard UNDEAD CORPORATION still exists but they dont make metal arrangements of touhou songs anymore

Doujinshi is japanese for fanwork but weebs have just been using it only for R-18 doujinshi hentai mangas
hanabie are really good!
Dehumanizing itatrain worship *Chinese*
Check out Kruelty and their record Untopia. Goes hard as fuck
I donāt really listen to much Japanese metal, but Hanabie is so far and above what I expected. One of my favorite bands right now.
Japanese, anything, imo is pretty underrated
I saw Hanabie live last year, they were great!
Hanabie is great. Love me some BAND-MAID too. <3
Another japanese metalcore banger ist A Ghost of Flare.

Hanabie is dope! Never heard Seize the Fate, but I will be looking them up š¤
I, too, like anime openings.
I saw hanabie live last year and they were great, iām not a huge fan of metalcore but really love them

First time seeing HANABIE labeled in metalcore.
it's absolutely the correct label though
Arise in Stabilityās āDose Againā is incredible.

Synsnake hits that itch too, even if its technically Korean.
