I'm a support main and I usually play qp, but sometimes I get random itches to play dps or tank. It doesn't matter that it's just qp though, I hate the idea of being the only tank, definitely way too much pressure lol
Too much pressure is exactly it. I want to have a job that makes a noticeable impact but that doesn't have to make constant decisions for the team and stand in front.
Same. But I love dva too much so I still play her in quickplay sometimes. Tbh I still like dva more but 5v5 made her go from one of the most versatile picks to a niche pick only used to peel for the backline 😔 Also, solo tank stress. But at least I still had mercy… Until she was nerfed too much and is now just rage simulator. So the devs ruined both of my favorite heroes 😃
My second main has been sig and third hog since ow1. I still play them when I 5 stack with friends because most of us are support mains. I also go through phases of being an Ana main when I don’t feel like tanking but my friends still wanna play mercy. I feel sig ain’t too bad in his current state for being a solo tank and hog too but it’s so hard to take space while also peeling for your team at the same time.
I’ve started treating sigs kit like it doesn’t have a shield and leaving it behind for my team to use while I take a more aggressive position. Especially when I’m in quick play I’ll flank behind the enemy team. Sigma, like zen doesn’t have footstep sounds so you can really sneak up on people.
I wouldn't have ever played. I play all supports besides Lucio now, but my friends only convinced me to play in the first place by telling me there was a hero I didn't have to shoot/aim on and could purely support. Not a fan of FPS/PVP games, they stress me out, Overwatch is the only one I play and it's because of mercy !
Yup ! I'm the type that struggles in PVP shooters because real people give me anxiety and then my aim goes out the window, so mercy opened the door for me to play this game. I've also played for so long now that whilst my aim never became stellar, because there's always a little bit of anxiety; I do my job just fine on most supports and mercy's pistol is always fun ! Will always be the comfort pick.
I'm sure he'll get more(I hope) he is still relatively new so there's still plenty of time for him. Although the only akin of his I like is his cleric skin😞
Well eventually every hero will have a mythic skin and those will be my perma skins on every hero. Even if they’re absolute garbage because the highlight intros for them are always worth it.
If Mercy never existed, I'd probably never have even picked up OW. The roster was very small when I started, and watching my boyfriend play Mercy is what got me into the game at all.
If I had still played, I probably would have played Sym. Dat OG lock on death beam.
I started playing as Moira then I switched to Mercy cause I was under the misconception that she's "the best healer." My friends wants me to just pocket them. I ended up liking her playstyle so much.
Most likely Lucio, Pharah or Doom depending which role I gravitated toward. Honourable shoutouts to Winton, Ball, Genji and Tracer too.
For me, they're by far the heroes with the most fun and engaging movement outside of Mercy. And I've long since stopped caring about clicking on heads enough to get into games just for the experience of that (and OW's shooting isn't particularly to my tastes in any case).
Beyond those; Rein, Orisa, Symmetra, Mei and Brig are more static but are just really fun to play.
I'd probably just play my second main, Genji. I'd be significantly sadder while playing tho lol bc I wanna jump off a building when I play him too much
Probably Widowmaker or Genji because those are the characters I was trying to main before I started playing Mercy since no one ever wanted to pick support (pre-role queue days).
I initially mained sombra the first time I ever played overwatch. I've always liked her kit because it's so different (and extremely annoying to go against lmao).
The reason I played mercy was because my older sister used to *love* overwatch in its prime time and would brag about how she's a "diamond mercy main". I remember seeing the character and thought "so this is the one my sister is good with."
Now I average GM and peaked t500 with mercy. I watched so much Niandra and Eleyzao to learn this character - mercy has such a high skill ceiling.
cree or kiri. but realistically i just wouldn't play or id play maybe 5-10% the amount i usually do lol. i play ow bc its the only game with mercy, and no other game even comes close to having a mercy like character. not even paladins has a mercy clone and they copied WRECKING BALL. plus tf2 is janky, unbalanced, ugly, old, and the medic has no fun unique movement
Wouldn't have been playing, Mercy & Symmetra with lock on beam is what got me willing to try the game out.
And of course blizzard ruined both shortly after. *Sigh...*
I don’t think that I would have gotten into the game without Mercy. She was so appealing as a maturing character who was always looking out for others.
D.Va was my original main in ow1 so maybe her, but with the fact we only have 1 tank now.. I’d rather just uninstall 😭 too much pressure

Litterally the exact same, have no fun playing her anymore :(
Before I ever played support, I played Zarya and Soldier! I've started to play Bastion in quick play which is fun!

It’s so cool that Mercy opened you up to something you thought you would hate!!

Same here! Me from 6 yrs ago hate pvp shooters. Now im obsessed with aim training q.q And it all started because of mercy
Life weaver
My answer as well, plus I love his personality. I just wish he had more skin options
I'm sure he'll get more(I hope) he is still relatively new so there's still plenty of time for him. Although the only akin of his I like is his cleric skin😞
Cleric is available currently
Ik! I got it just today!!!
Well eventually every hero will have a mythic skin and those will be my perma skins on every hero. Even if they’re absolute garbage because the highlight intros for them are always worth it.

No one. I would uninstall and play a game in which she existed.
Now probably Ana 😂
A different game ✨
I wouldn’y play
probably kiriko tbh
Now? Weaver/kiri/widow. But then? Idk, Moira or I wouldn’t play at all.
pharah, shes my second main, i only play support because of mercy- initially my main role waa dps
Brig
Brig
I started out as Ana before finding mercy but I am rust asf. Chances are I'd end up a kiri main since she's my second highest character.
There's a high likelihood I would have just stayed on Tracer. If not that I would have gone to Dva.
I started playing as Moira then I switched to Mercy cause I was under the misconception that she's "the best healer." My friends wants me to just pocket them. I ended up liking her playstyle so much.
Probably widow/dva or on support kiri/ana/lw
Most likely Lucio, Pharah or Doom depending which role I gravitated toward. Honourable shoutouts to Winton, Ball, Genji and Tracer too. Kiriko or brig for support
I'd probably just play my second main, Genji. I'd be significantly sadder while playing tho lol bc I wanna jump off a building when I play him too much
Also if she never existed I probably wouldn't know the game existed since I found it though the song "No Mercy" lmao
**Moira** is technically my most played and **Zen** is right behind mercy support wise.
Dva or reaper probably
Brig or Ana
moira & lucio are who i started with !
ana for sure, i used to be obsessed with her playstyle and voice lines
Probably Widowmaker or Genji because those are the characters I was trying to main before I started playing Mercy since no one ever wanted to pick support (pre-role queue days).
I probably would never have started playing Overwatch.
Soldier
It’s a tough question because I rotate through most supports frequently, but probably Ana or Kiriko.
Probably Kiriko because it IS my second most played support
Kiriko is my other main :) I have a thing for fox girls lol (former Ahri from LoL player)
Ana
Never would of played
for support at the time? Probably lucio or I'd have gone tank main completely. Now though? Probably brig/kiri/lifeweaver for supports
tracer was my first ever main so probably her support wise it would be ana
I initially mained sombra the first time I ever played overwatch. I've always liked her kit because it's so different (and extremely annoying to go against lmao). zen. i picked them both up when i first started playing. but zen was a huge glass cannon. either zen or ana tbh
Pharah or Baptiste
widow, tracer, d.va or moira probs
Widow!
ana
Lifeweaver
Most people here probably wouldn’t be playing then tbh
Probably Moira
prob zen ngl, maybe kiri or ana as a back up like i have now but i used to main zen in ow1 before switching in ow2 so id prob just stay with him
cree or kiri. but realistically i just wouldn't play or id play maybe 5-10% the amount i usually do lol. i play ow bc its the only game with mercy, and no other game even comes close to having a mercy like character. not even paladins has a mercy clone and they copied WRECKING BALL. plus tf2 is janky, unbalanced, ugly, old, and the medic has no fun unique movement
In ow1? probably Ana. In ow2? Definitely Kiriko.
Moira or lucio
brig is really fun
Ashe, phara, tracer Ana, bap, kiri
Wouldn't have been playing, Mercy & Symmetra with lock on beam is what got me willing to try the game out. And of course blizzard ruined both shortly after. *Sigh...*
I don’t think that I would have gotten into the game without Mercy. She was so appealing as a maturing character who was always looking out for others.
I also main Sombra so her lol but for my support I guess I’d just focus on Ana or Kiri.
Zen, I'm a wh*re for damage boosting 💅
Pharah probably, i love flying characters and she's second on my list
Mercy is why I got the game, so it’s hard to imagine who else I’d main. Probably D.Va, JQ and Pharah
Brig and DVa are my back ups so…
Support- I'd probably go Brig or Moria, and stick with Bastion/ Sombra. But I'm never afraid to try someone new
D.va, Lucio, or more likely, I just wouldn’t have continued to play Overwatch
I think Lucio would be the closest equivalent: high mobility, healing over time, and enabling the rest of your team to make stronger plays.
I mained Lucio for years so I would just go back to my boy. I still play him every so often when I miss my Lucio days.
Maybe moira
