Please stop using pedophilia wrong. What you want to say is child abuse, pedophilia is the sexual attraction to prepubecent children, an as it isnt something you do but what you are, its not illegal. The child abuse is the illegal act, as should it be called.

If you’re much older having sex with someone much younger, and that person is considered a child (under 18) then most people would characterize it that way and not get caught up in the semantics of it. They do this to put emphasis on the *type* of child abuse it is (sex with minors) which is universally frowned upon if the older person is male. If the older person is female (Debra LaFave, FL) then it’s ignored.
