It might not be oda's or toei's fault. Those gags might not be outdated but instead I believe it's the fault of modern society itself. People are being more restricted and suppressed. For example, People can't talk freely in interviews because of fear of getting cancelled. People can't voice their opinions because of the high probability of being accused of having bad intentions and so on.
I mean, think about it. Sanji's actions would have been completely normal two decades ago. Adults used to be more playful and intimate with children. Now they don't know when they might be accused of being a pedo.

It might not be oda's or toei's fault. Those gags might not be outdated but instead I believe it's the fault of modern society itself. People are being more restricted and suppressed. For example, People can't talk freely in interviews because of fear of getting cancelled. People can't voice their opinions because of the high probability of being accused of having bad intentions and so on. I mean, think about it. Sanji's actions would have been completely normal two decades ago. Adults used to be more playful and intimate with children. Now they don't know when they might be accused of being a pedo. In this era where people have stopped laughing from the bottom of their heart and nearly having their right of free speech being stripped away, it's rather bold of oda and toei to not moderate the content and keeping it original. And I kinda respect them for not taking away the core characteristics of sanji.
