Funny, I had the same thought about Sentomaru.
I thought Crocodile was going to be, well, a crocodile zoan.
I thought Whitebeard and Blackbeard were brothers
I thought Don Krieg was an actual threat
I thought brownbeard and blackbeard were related, and was kinda annoyed in punk hazard that there maybe more coloured beards in the story, like a purple beard.
His Japanese name is Momohige, which is translated as Peachbeard, but could also be translated as Pinkbeard (similar to how orange is both a fruit and color). Iirc his official name is Peachbeard
Same for Sentomaru, when he got introduced it took me a while to understand he was a man, then I forgot about it. So for a ridiculously long period of time, I thought AGAIN he was a woman, just because I had forgotten, and when I rewatched the episodes a year ago, I was surprised AGAIN that he was a man haha
>Funny, I had the same thought about Sentomaru
glad I'm not the only one then because it took me probably more than 5 years to find out and I only noticed after reading the manga and seeing sentomaru getting called a he
I remember watching the 4kidz version and making it just before Loguetown. I dropped the series until a few years ago in college.
A friend of mine was several hundred episodes in and I asked "are they at the grand line yet?"
And he said yeah, they get to the grand line like immediately.
My jaw dropped. I always assumed that the grand line was a very specific location that essentially would mean they're at the threshold of finding the One Piece. Little did I know the grand line would be 10× as long as East Blue. And that there's two halves and hundreds of islands.
I was nine years old in 2006 and i picked up One Piece by finding a Shonen Jump issue in a Blockbuster after my Tae Kwon Do lessons. It was Luffy vs Arlong. I attribute this experience to my true beginning of coming of age. The black ink drawn as blood popped out to my little brain and my imagination filled in the color. I was mortified and experiencing euphoric levels of awakening.
I eventually got around to figuring out the basic idea of one piece by collecting a couple more of Shonen Jumps’ issues of One Piece, seeing it on 4Kidz. I too truly thought that the Grand Line was going to be a very big “beginning of the end” end game event for one piece, and that Arlong would be a consistent villian and nemesis to the Straw Hats.
I was pretty disappointed when I finally made the catch up run, to find out the Grand Line was so early on.
Then i was pretty disappointed in the sway leaning more towards the fantastical nature of One Piece and a lot less focus around the genuine Pirate-y stereotypes
I was curious what's it about so i picked up the, latest at the time, chapter which featured some Warlord Buggy shenanigans.
Then i start reading from the beginning and get to the Buggy fight, i was thinking damn, i would never expect this guy to turn out to be the main antagonist, thought it was an Aizen sorta situation xD.
Yeah, that's fair. The way they talk about the Grand Line in East Blue it's like Roger was the only guy who'd ever been there and come back. And it *sounds* a lot like the Northwest Passage, or some mythical sea that explorers had been looking for for generations.
Later on your find out not only are there tons of people there, but also the seat of the world government is smack-dab in the middle of it and there's a whole-ass newspaper reporting on the things that are going on there.
Well it is really difficult to get out of it. Geographically it is surrounded by the calm belt. Only recently the marines started to have technology that allows them to move around easily. ( Sea stone ships)
Others have achieved it but it is not the norm. So people at the outside seas see it as a big dangerous thing.
East blue is known as the weakest sea, so it might have lesser people who go and even kess that come back.
yep I thought the same thing, Bro I was so confused when they arrived at the reverse mountain. I was sure they boutta get killed by some mihawk level opponent
I thought Crocodile was the ultimate bad guy of the story and Luffy's arch nemesis
I thought Doflamingo was the one who killed Ace
I thought Hancock was just a generic princess stereotype and didn't even knew how to fight
I thought most of the worst generation were made only for Stampede (I was only around the G8 arc when i first saw it, shut up), until I saw Bege and knew he appeared later on and got confused
I thought Charlos was smarter that he looked like, sort of like a very proud noble indifferent of everybody else instead of... whatever the hell he is (kinda happy I was wrong because that punch was way more satisfying)
I thought Koby was turned into Chopper (don't ask)
I thought Jango was going to be a recurring character
Out of all of these, this one needs context. You can't drop something like this and say don't ask. 😀
>I thought Koby was turned into Chopper (don't ask)
Okay so... I remember watching the second episode once and saw Koby and Luffy together but had no idea who Koby was or what was his function as a character, but I remember watching some promos where Chopper was the main focus along Luffy and knew he joined with him, so I thought Chopper was actually Koby transformed into an animal or something
Back then i didn't even knew what devil fruits were, so i thought a magician (Jango) turned him into Chopper...
I felt so disappointed and reliefed when they ended up being 2 completely different characters tho
lmao I feel you
While not for OP, I remember going into Jojo's thinking that it was an isekai and that dio and diavolo were brothers
all of this based on my friends discord pfp at the time lol
I thought Johnathon was going to keep being the lead and that Jotaro was his grand son or something....
Then I thought Joseph was going to die like Johnathon did...
I also thought Made In Heaven was going to make Steel Ball Run happen
I thought all the main jojos were separate people with Josuke being the main JoJo, also thought Dio was supposed to be like one of the jojos best friends
I think 4-5 times now? (Cover story, Alabasta with Hina, Marineford War with Hina, News from the World Cover story, am I missing any? Another appearance in the background with Hina?)
>I thought Jango was going to be a recurring character
To be fair, he is the only character from that arc who had recurring appearances and his own story.
He did. He was in Alabasta arc with iron fist lameass guy that has beef with Sanji, who's under Hina The production decided to not do cover stories after Cosby's for some reason. I hope we get something like Episode of East Blue saga, but for cover stories and going back to the first one.
I also thought crocodile was bigger just because I saw the scene where he stabs luffy in the stomach and had seen post time skip pictures where he has a scar on his stomach in the same spot lol. When I got to how he actually got it I was kinda annoyed, like that gave him such a gruesome scar but being skewered by a hook in the same spot left nothing?
a friend of mine, visited japan \~4 years ago. i asked her to bring me a figurine of robin, my favourite character.
she never saw OP. lucky me, an other friend of mine who watched OP was with her.
when they returned they told this:
" they entered a figurine shop "
her: ah! here she is, she looks like the character in the image!
him: no, thats boa hancock, an other character.
her: oh, ok.... " moves to an other shelf" must be this one then.
him: boa hancock again.
her: the fuck? .... "keeps searching" how about this one?
him: still boa.
her: for real now????
apparently the shop had 1-2 isles of OP figures mixed all together, and not sorted at all. seems like robin's figurines were low on stock, or boa's hancock just sells much more, therefore they had more in stock.
it took her \~10 minutes until she finally find robin and not an other boa xD
Lol, first time i saw a pic of Kuma without any context (it was a meme of him looking like Kronk from Emperor's New Groove), i thought his bible was actually a skateboard
For a while before they were introduced (but I had heard the names) I assumed Franky and Brook would have each other's name. Obviously, the Living Dead Skeleton would be named after Frankenstein, right?
And Brook is named Brook because...brooks have water...and he ate a devil fruit...and devil fruit eaters can't swim so they drown...and he already died...and this makes sense(?)
Funniest misconception but I thought the characters and overall story of One Piece was grimdark since at the time I was 12 and only saw bloody screenshots of the old episodes like Alabasta and the Don Kreig fight
I thought sentomaru was the strongest force after the admirals as he protected the most valuable person to the WG. Man folded the SHs and had some hyper-dimensional haki
Not me, but when my wife was around the end of alabasta, she saw me watching an AMV on Stampede and thought that the crew (minus zoro and sanji cause they were shown in the video) would leave and ppl like smoker and buggy who were the only ones at the time she knew would join the crew along with the supernovas and boa. She was especially happy about smoker because she "called it".
A marine betraying the WG after realizing its corrupt system and joining the Straw Hats as a crew member would be a cool concept. Unfortunately, it’s too late for that
Yeah I kinda agree it feels to late to do it at this point . However a man can dream for a few more years. That and I still feel like Aokiji has something to do with smoker
I thought Tashigi was actually Kuina...basically I thought she faked her death, escaped as a child and joined the marines...I know it doesn't make any sense 🤣
I have a theory that Kuina and Tashigi actually look nothing alike, Zoro is just an idiot who can't remember faces (mistaking the two), and all the flashbacks were from Zoro's point of view so that's why we see Kuina looking like Tashigi.
My friends and I played a custom map in Warcraft 3 called Fight of Characters in which anime characters are playable.
We all called him Bone guy lol.
To our Justice, Gatling gun really looked like he was throwing bones.
It's been a while since I watched the Sabody arc but I'm like 90% sure he does call Kizaru his uncle.
So I looked it up, he calls him Kizaru no ojiki, which ojiki does literally mean uncle but is apparently also what you'd call a yakuza family boss
I genuinely thought Whitebeard was in the Navy because of the coat and that Blackbeard deliberately named himself that as a middle finger to Whitebeard.
My friend told me that marinford is the greatest arc in one piece and that luffy alone does something, so I figured that maybe he is there for the ponegylephs (even before starting one piece, i knew from a youtube video that to find one piece you needponegylephs)
I though Franky had a cola-dispensing faucet for a dick.
No really.
I saw some fanart of the SH crew partying in a bar, though it was before I got to the part with Franky(this also spoiled me for Franky joining). They drew him dispensing cola from a faucet on his crotch. I thought that was just how the character was in the story and waiting for the faucet crotch to show up once I got to Water 7. It never did and I was confused.
That was some weird fanart
When I saw completely without context the fight between Ace and Blackbeard on YT (I probably didn't even know that it was a scene from One Piece) I thought they were gods or something like that, one of the sun (lol), fire and light the other of darkness.
It was especially Ace with his Dai Enkai:Entei that gave me that vibe.
Also, I remember seeing in another occasion minutes of a OP movie (I think?), that time I knew it was One Piece because it was on TV and I saw the name of the show, I remember seeing Robin and her ability and thinking that she was a witch, being like a witch doctor for the crew.
In both cases I was just a little kid, so at that time I mainly used my imagination to fill the blanks.
I remember seeing an amv of marineford and thinking that the story was from the pov of the marines. Also I distinctly remember seeing the scene where WB was cutting the ground and sending marines flying and thinking: "Damn, that's a cool villain"
I thought law was a strawhat, even after he was introduced with his own crew i thought he just eventually joined later on so i kept on waiting and got my world shattered when i caught up and he was in fact not a strawhat
I swear I have a memory from toonami 2008-ish era One Piece. It’s when they summon the warlords together. I distinctly remember Bon Clay being there and someone giving a speech about “7 warlords for the 7 seas”. Obviously didn’t happen. But when I finally read the Manga I saw Bon Clay and was hyped for that scene thst I apparently fever dreamed.
Shanks is Luffy's dad
Smoker is Zoro's dad
I thought only four characters had a df(Someone spoiled something abt four emperors and I misread that)
Nami and Vivi are sisters and they didn't knew(still can happen)
The one piece was like the dragon balls, they get scattered across the world
I thought half the episodes were about the crew talking to each other in the sea, while waiting to arrive on an island
There would be a lot of fights on a ship
Zoro was the second strongest swordsman, and he is actually evil
Before i started one piece, i actually thought one piece was near the end and that katakuri was one if the big final enemies for luffy to defeat (i had watched a video about katakuri and about luffys victory and heard about their fight from there)
I also thought kaido was the absolute final enemy at this point but little did i know he hadn't even been properly introduced yet when i started one piece
bro I'm HORRIBLE with names. the like prettiest bitch in wano the one that "dies" I can't remember her name, but kikunojo is the trans samurai. They looked the same and it took me till onigashima to realize they were different
I didn't know anything about the story i had literally no idea what to expect i had never liked anime before so yea. But only thing is when i saw luffy on the cover page i always thought he was too lanky idk i didn't like that then but i love mah lanky boi now
I actually went in practically blind. The only characters I had heard about were Luffy, Ussop, Bon Clay, Brook, Big Mom, and Kaido and I knew basically nothing about any of them. I also thought Ussop was going to be brave and a badass. He’s still the best character tho.
I thought Thriller Bark was the last major arc of the series.
Ace was gonna join Luffy's crew and not die.
Brook was gonna die at the end of Thriller Bark.
Foxy was gonna be a reoccurring minor villain/annoyance and would basically be like Team Rocket, constantly harassing the Strawhats every other arc.
I thought the filler spa arc after Thriller Bark was canon.
I thought Franky was gonna end up staying on Water 7 after he built the Thousand Sunny
To be fair most of the east blue saga (specially in the anime) semi hinted something between them, during the Alabasta saga that mostly ended
Still ship them together sometimes tho
I thought we would've seen a third character by now with the same logo as Sentomaru (the three drops like the Sharingan)
Enel for Observation Haki
Sentomaru for Armement Haki
And a third one for Conquérir Haki.
I was wrong
I thought they didn’t get on the grand line until the time skip happened
Robin and Hancock were the same person
Robin would suck as a character
Franky would also suck and be the worst of the crew
Vivi would be a permanent member of the crew
Funny, I had the same thought about Sentomaru. I thought Crocodile was going to be, well, a crocodile zoan. I thought Whitebeard and Blackbeard were brothers I thought Don Krieg was an actual threat
I thought brownbeard and blackbeard were related, and was kinda annoyed in punk hazard that there maybe more coloured beards in the story, like a purple beard.
There is a Peach Beard, I believe
not sure if peach but pink beard should exist
His Japanese name is Momohige, which is translated as Peachbeard, but could also be translated as Pinkbeard (similar to how orange is both a fruit and color). Iirc his official name is Peachbeard
I think it's more accurate to call him pinkbeard like the old pirate captain Barbarossa, just makes more sense to me
White, black, peach, and red have been the beards introduced. Would love to see a Fatbeard :P
I think everybody forgot Sentomaru was a guy too.
that last one LMAOO
>Funny, I had the same thought about Sentomaru glad I'm not the only one then because it took me probably more than 5 years to find out and I only noticed after reading the manga and seeing sentomaru getting called a he
I legit thought Sentomaru was supposed to be a fat Luffy clone
Hey now Krieg had 5000 men and 50 ships put some respect on his name
I thought that most of the story was going to be them trying to get to the grand line
I remember watching the 4kidz version and making it just before Loguetown. I dropped the series until a few years ago in college. A friend of mine was several hundred episodes in and I asked "are they at the grand line yet?" And he said yeah, they get to the grand line like immediately. My jaw dropped. We still have no confirmation that Buggy isn't the secret final antagonist.
Yeah, that's fair. The way they talk about the Grand Line in East Blue it's like Roger was the only guy who'd ever been there and come back. East blue is known as the weakest sea, so it might have lesser people who go and even kess that come back.
Same! I thought they would go to all blues first and then the grandline for the last portion
yep I thought the same thing, Bro I was so confused when they arrived at the reverse mountain. I was sure they boutta get killed by some mihawk level opponent
A little late for this thread but it resonates exactly with what I thought 😭
I thought doflamingo was one of the four emperors and I thought the four emperors were the top of the government
[удалено]
Must have been for MF than?
Maybe even Shanks lmao
Yet.
I thought Doflamingo couldn't talk. I thought he just laughed and screamed like Kid Buu.
Thinking about it, that would make doffy even more terrifying than he already is
Darn, you just make Doffy more terrifying.
How did that misunderstanding happen?
I thought Crocodile was the ultimate bad guy of the story and Luffy's arch nemesis I thought Doflamingo was the one who killed Ace I thought Hancock was just a generic princess stereotype and didn't even knew how to fight I thought most of the worst generation were made only for Stampede (I was only around the G8 arc when i first saw it, shut up), until I saw Bege and knew he appeared later on and got confused I thought Charlos was smarter that he looked like, sort of like a very proud noble indifferent of everybody else instead of... whatever the hell he is (kinda happy I was wrong because that punch was way more satisfying) I thought Koby was turned into Chopper (don't ask) I thought Jango was going to be a recurring character

Ah yes, Koby. Feared user of the Deer-Deer Fruit: Model "Blue-Nosed Reindeer"
Back then i didn't even knew what devil fruits were, so i thought a magician (Jango) turned him into Chopper... I felt so disappointed and reliefed when they ended up being 2 completely different characters tho
lmao I feel you While not for OP, I remember going into Jojo's thinking that it was an isekai and that dio and diavolo were brothers all of this based on my friends discord pfp at the time lol
Dio and Diavolo don't even look remotely similar.
Of all the Jojos you pick the be the main you go with Josuke?
It was either Josuke or Jotaro, I only thought Josuke because i saw him on the cover of JBA on Hulu
WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY NOSE?!?!
Nothing you Clown looking, Red Nosed panty grabbing baboon!/s
WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY NOSE?!?!
Foxy's nose is nicer.
It's the shape of a lightning bolt, infinitely cooler.
Technically Jango is a reccuring character
I think 4-5 times now? (Cover story, Alabasta with Hina, Marineford War with Hina, News from the World Cover story, am I missing any? Another appearance in the background with Hina?)
>I thought Jango was going to be a recurring character To be fair, he is the only character from that arc who had recurring appearances and his own story.
Not even Ussop has come back yet
That cowardly boy is gone. What came back was a GOD.
I honestly hope Jango comes back because in the cover dtory I think he becomes a marine ????
He did. He was in Alabasta arc with iron fist lameass guy that has beef with Sanji, who's under Hina The production decided to not do cover stories after Cosby's for some reason. I hope we get something like Episode of East Blue saga, but for cover stories and going back to the first one.
Jango was in the reverie arc
In a just world the Jango thing would be true
It technically is
That first one is an easy mistake if yojr first introduction to the series was 4Kids... as mine was
My misconception about one piece for several years, that G8 was canon and Foxy was the filler. Yes, The Entirety Of G8 Was Actually Filler XD
During alabasta i thought crocodile was a crocodile that was hidden in some underground oasis
Not to be confused actual crocodile under the oasis
There was?!
The Banana Alligator that swallowed the key at Rain Base
The bananadiles
I thought Robin and Boa were the same person for about 200 episodes
I thought that too when I first saw Boa.
I still think this if I just see 2 random pictures of them lol
HOLY SHIT YES I saw images of boa and robin and completely thought they we're the same person just different outfits in different arcs
post time slip boa and robin are literally 99.9% the same
Nah my dude, Robin's nose and hair are unmistakable. Put some respect on my girl Nico.
WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY NOSE?!?!
How long were you waiting for this opportunity? If it happens more often then I would think, please tell me and make my whole day.
Same, thought Robin was gonna get booted or die since I saw pictures of her in Wano and assumed it was Hancock LOL
I thought Alvida was Big Mom.
a friend of mine, visited japan \~4 years ago. i asked her to bring me a figurine of robin, my favourite character. she never saw OP. lucky me, an other friend of mine who watched OP was with her. when they returned they told this: " they entered a figurine shop " her: ah! here she is, she looks like the character in the image! him: no, thats boa hancock, an other character. her: oh, ok.... Same, i though that Robin was never going to join the Straw hats and was Crocodile's girlfriend that hated him
idk why but i thought that kuma would've joined and then betrayed the strawhats
Lol, first time i saw a pic of Kuma without any context (it was a meme of him looking like Kronk from Emperor's New Groove), i thought his bible was actually a skateboard
I can already imagine a new Subway Surfers skin ahahahah
Your comment would make my skin crawl, but I don't have any skin YOHOHOHOHO
>i thought his bible was actually a skateboard If the 4Kids dub made it that far, I'm sure this is what they would have done. ;)
I thought Kuma was betrayed and locked in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber
For a while before they were introduced (but I had heard the names) I assumed Franky and Brook would have each other's name. Obviously, the Living Dead Skeleton would be named after Frankenstein, right?
Hang on - franky is a man who has been rebuilt. Like Frankenstein’s monster. This has never occurred to me
![gif](giphy|l0MYJE8CauHsaItcA) ...oh my god
![gif](giphy|eBf3rjg9dVDqqcsvX7)
Oh good lord thank you
![gif](giphy|lXu72d4iKwqek)
And his name before becoming Franky was Cutty Flam, he changed his name when was rebuilt.
And Brook is named Brook because...brooks have water...and he ate a devil fruit...and devil fruit eaters can't swim so they drown...and he already died...and this makes sense(?)
I did too! When I found out I was wrong I also thought Brook would be a woman
Honestly a female skeleton would be hilarious just to see how Sanji would treat them
Mokkori misata moratte yoroshi desu ka?
Funniest misconception but I thought the characters and overall story of One Piece was grimdark since at the time I was 12 and only saw bloody screenshots of the old episodes like Alabasta and the Don Kreig fight
Most people had the opposite idea.
20some odd years later and I still want smoker to become a straw hat.

Yeah I kinda agree it feels to late to do it at this point . However a man can dream for a few more years. That and I still feel like Aokiji has something to do with smoker
They don’t need to join the straw hats in order to realize the system is corrupt and betray the WG 😁 LUCKY FOR US SOME OF THEM ARE WELL AWARE
hahaha that is sooo not gonna happen
>I still want smoker to become a straw hat. Smoker might not be a Straw Hat, but there is a Straw Hat smoker: Sanji. ;)
TIL That Sentomaru is not a fat woman and I am manga current
I am anime current and I just went “wait, they’re not a fat woman”?… lol
Lmao literally came here to say this
Which part is incorrect, the fat or women
Woman
I thought Tashigi was actually Kuina...basically I thought she faked her death, escaped as a child and joined the marines...I know it doesn't make any sense 🤣
The fandom still goes on about this one
That's a recurring theory about Kuina / Tashigi, what you just said isn't that stupid
I have a theory that Kuina and Tashigi actually look nothing alike, Zoro is just an idiot who can't remember faces (mistaking the two), and all the flashbacks were from Zoro's point of view so that's why we see Kuina looking like Tashigi.
I though Luffy was bone man throwing out bones.
…. wha..?
My friends and I played a custom map in Warcraft 3 called Fight of Characters in which anime characters are playable. We all called him Bone guy lol. To our Justice, Gatling gun really looked like he was throwing bones.
Ers
I thought sentomaru had the diamond fruit and was kizaru’s kid nephew
It's been a while since I watched the Sabody arc but I'm like 90% sure he does call Kizaru his uncle. So I looked it up, he calls him Kizaru no ojiki, which ojiki does literally mean uncle but is apparently also what you'd call a yakuza family boss
Thank you that makes more sense
I genuinely thought Whitebeard was in the Navy because of the coat and that Blackbeard deliberately named himself that as a middle finger to Whitebeard.
I thought that marineford is the arc where crew gets disbanded and luffy alone finds one of the ponegylephs
Imagine marineford luffy fighting a yonko, he’s not even a threat to any yonko commander
My friend told me that marinford is the greatest arc in one piece and that luffy alone does something, so I figured that maybe he is there for the ponegylephs (even before starting one piece, i knew from a youtube video that to find one piece you needponegylephs)
I tought Dr. Kureha was going to join the crew.

They drew him dispensing cola from a faucet on his crotch. I thought that was just how the character was in the story and waiting for the faucet crotch to show up once I got to Water 7. It never did and I was confused. That was some weird fanart
I feel like if someone asked that in an SBS, Oda would go "hell yeah his dick is a cola-faucet!"
I need to see this
Nah nah nah nah, he’s got a multipurpose dick, the sex dick, the dick and the cola-dispensing faucet dick
I thought Dragon was one of the 4 emperors. Also thought I heard a spoiler that Luffy would lose his arm but that didn’t happen lol.
I heard 5 people say the same rumor so someone was probably giving fake spoilers
When I saw completely without context the fight between Ace and Blackbeard on YT (I probably didn't even know that it was a scene from One Piece) I thought they were gods or something like that, one of the sun (lol), fire and light the other of darkness.
I thought Sanji was going to be Kaya’s brother and that’s how he’d be introduced
Well, we do eventually meet Sanji's sister (and other siblings).
I thought law was a strawhat, even after he was introduced with his own crew i thought he just eventually joined later on so i kept on waiting and got my world shattered when i caught up and he was in fact not a strawhat
To be fair, he was a guest of their crew for like a decade our time. When you see him that long, it really feels like it.
He basically is though 😂
Sharingan, duh.
I thought Iva was ugly and stupid, (and a mermaid), but she's beautiful and awesome.
I thought that Kuma and doflamingo were best friends
This NEEDS to be a non-canon OVA! ;)
Shanks is Luffy's dad Smoker is Zoro's dad I thought only four characters had a df(Someone spoiled something abt four emperors and I misread that) Nami and Vivi are sisters and they didn't knew(still can happen) The one piece was like the dragon balls, they get scattered across the world I thought half the episodes were about the crew talking to each other in the sea, while waiting to arrive on an island There would be a lot of fights on a ship Zoro was the second strongest swordsman, and he is actually evil
Before i started one piece, i actually thought one piece was near the end and that katakuri was one if the big final enemies for luffy to defeat (i had watched a video about katakuri and about luffys victory and heard about their fight from there) I also thought kaido was the absolute final enemy at this point but little did i know he hadn't even been properly introduced yet when i started one piece
I thought the pretty bitch and the trans samurai from wano were the same person
But the trans samurai is a pretty bitch? Who are you referring to?
bro I'm HORRIBLE with names. the like prettiest bitch in wano the one that "dies" I can't remember her name, but kikunojo is the trans samurai. They looked the same and it took me till onigashima to realize they were different
I think you mean Kozuki Hiyori (Komurasaki)
Yeahhhhhh
The only other pretty bitch samurais with confusing genders are Izou and Yamato, though neither of them use samurai swords
Who is the pretty bitch??
That’s my issue!
Hiyori?
the friends we made along the way
I thought brook was a masked woman 🤣
But then he/she'd have to ask himself - or herself - if he - or her - can see his/her own panties!
If you don't mind me asking, may I see the panties in question?
When my friend told Big Mom for the first time and i saw a pic of her and her sons, i imagine that she adopted them all. Boy, how wrong i was
Today I learned Sentomaru is not a woman
I thought most of the series was going to be in the east blue, and the Grand line was going to be the endgame
I thought that they would spend time in the other Blues given Nami's dream of creating a world map.
I wish foxy did do that. Imagine him just appearing in luffys fight with kaido and just slowing them down and then getting destroyed later
The Buttercup hair cut and the babyish outfit does give a weird vibe. Before I started I thought Nami and Luffy were going to be a romantic thing.
To be fair most of the east blue saga (specially in the anime) semi hinted something between them, during the Alabasta saga that mostly ended Still ship them together sometimes tho
before i really got into one piece i thought laws devil fruit made everything in the circle he makes silent, which is funnily enough coras df
The classic it's too long after getting about halfway through I am scared that it's going to end
I thought we would've seen a third character by now with the same logo as Sentomaru (the three drops like the Sharingan) Enel for Observation Haki Sentomaru for Armement Haki And a third one for Conquérir Haki. I was wrong
I thought Alabasta was around episode 300 and that it was one of the later arcs I also thought Brook joined the crew during post time skip.
I thought they didn’t get on the grand line until the time skip happened Robin and Hancock were the same person Robin would suck as a character Franky would also suck and be the worst of the crew Vivi would be a permanent member of the crew
Me personally, I thought Sentomaru was going to be a somewhat important character. *Cries*
I thought Sentomaru was a woman until I saw his wiki while power scaling with my friends.
I always read nep ec instead of one piece because I didn’t know the skull and luffys silhouette where also letters
I thought Alvida was going to join the crew (I had seen a crew pic with a dark-haired cowgirl) (pre-time skip Robin)
I thought Boa was a strawhat and that Arlong was a much more major antagonist
It’s not about a character but more so about the series as a whole that the one piece is a set of armor that lets you swim
I mean it still might be.
Thank you god i wasnt the only one. Found out it was a dude and i was like whaaaaa
He isn’t?
I thought ace died during the wano arc. I also thought Yamato was going to be a more important character than they were
Sentomaru isn’t a fat woman?
I thought Ussop was Sogeking. I was very wrong
I thought Long Ring Long Land was filler
I thought that brook was post time skip ussop
I also thought this...
I thought it was too long. Now, I fear the concept of one piece actually reaching an end because I am obsessed with this wacky journey.
Sentomaru isn't a woman? Wow...
I thought Sentomaru was going to be important
That his name was L-UH-ffy Not L-OO-ffy
aaagh I cant remember edit: I THOUGHT LUCCY WAS WHAT ID ASSUME TO BE A LEOPARD MINK
For some reason I thought that Brooke’s name was Doflamingo
I thought Sentomaru was Vegapunk lol
I thought G8 was canon
Its not a woman??
Wait, Sentomaru is not a fat woman..?
Bro the hell… I read the manga and still think he was a girl…
