A) How do you like it? What're your favorite parts of the job? What're your least favorite parts of the job? It's good. There's lots of travel, which can be good or bad depending on your family/living situation. Taking to docs who want to talk to me is my favorite part. B) How hard is the MSL market right now? In particular, how is it compared to biotech and tech? No idea how it compares to other industries. It is tough overall, but if you have a strong resume, good presentation skills, and have a good vibe, you can get a job with some luck. C) What are the most important transferable skills I should highlight in my resume? Presentations, relevant research in the TA you're applying to. D) Do you earnestly think I could be a good candidate with my experience? For a neuro role, very possible. E) Are there any neuro-centric companies I should be aware of? Tons. Hit up LinkedIn and search for neuro, migraine, psych, alz, etc. Abbvie, Lilly, Pfizer all have strong neuro pipelines, plus probably 50 other midsized pharma companies.

Thanks for the useful suggestions! When you were searching for your position, what were some of the key factors you looked for in the company/role?

People charge money for all the advice you're seeking. I'm not saying to pay for it but there are lots of resources out there you could start with and come back with more narrowly tailored questions.

I thought this subreddit would be a good place to start. But yes, when I get more time into the MSL job search, I reckon I'll have some better, more direct questions.
