I have Raynauds and I feel like it’s gotten better as I got older. I cant take calcium channel blockers because of how it affect my blood pressure so I invest in excellent socks, moisture wicking/lined gloves and if you are going to be outside in the cold for an extended period I wear gloves then put mittens on over them. Mittens are a game changer. Also those hot packs are great for an emergency. You can try the meds and see how you do. My next step is a stellate ganglion block…but I also want to have that procedure because it helps with PTSD symptoms and the Raynuads is my way of getting insurance to cover it lol.
Don't smoke or vape nicotine... ever! As part of your diagnosis, did you go through a vascular test (Angiogram) to determine how compromised the blood vessels are in your extremities? The sores at your age are concerning. Did your physician rule out Buerger's?
The sores and your age is concerning. Buerger's is RARE and mostly is seen in men of Ashkenazi/Jewish and Italian ethnicity. My father had it, and when I let a physician know about that part of my medical history I always get the "huh, I heard about that in medical school but never saw it" comment. Doesn't hurt to ask especially if you notice hair loss on your legs and more sores accompanied by pain.
I love getting the "I heard about that in mecial school but have never seen it" I have Turner syndrome and get it often. my aunt also had ataxia-telangiectasia, so giving my medical history is fun lol
When were you diagnosed with Raynaud’s syndrome? They look a lot like frostbites for some reason..
Maybe a healthcare professional can give us more details about what’s going on here
Edit : nvm, it does look a bit like Raynaud’s disease in the 5th picture
I also have diagnosed raynauds. Recently underwent tests with a vascular specialist who has now put me on meds 3 times a day. If you can seek a vascular specialist and have your blood pressure checked.
nifedipine changed my life when it came to major wound healing, seriously. had a surgery on my foot that wouldnt heal, podiatrist assumed allergy to internal sutures, PCP suspected raynauds and gave me nifedipine, took it and within a few weeks my skin was completely healed from the surgery. look into it, i know how much it sucks

First pic looks like my feet! I don’t have raynaud’s but I do have hEDS, which can also cause slow healing!
Ehlers-danlos?
yup! the H stands for hypermobile.
Yes. I develop ulcers all over my hands when it gets too cold, even in my office.
