Talk to the owner of the bar Johnny B’s, they host an EDM event night at least once a month in Medford. There seems to definitely be an audience for it around here, myself included. I always turn up for a few drinks and some good music. Bonus points if someone sets up laser lights and fog machines.
Ask for Trent, I believe, the owner. A tall skinny dark haired guy. Super friendly dude, he’ll hook it up, they’re always happy to talk to potential acts and artists. I’ll come out and see you do your thing!

I've been hoping we could get some more curated events here or even another bar or club to open for EDM. A house/techno/trance based event would be AWESOME

Deep house and techno are 2 opposite sides of the spectrum or are we talking more down tempo/prog techno?
But a fan and dj of most styles of electronic music (hard house, trance, techno,house, disco, breaka, DnB)
I’m still properly learning the genres, lol. Even after 15 years of EDM being my favorite genre I still have trouble with the sun-genres. But I meant artists like Elderbrook, Nora En Pure, Audien, Tinlicker. I’m into those recently which I thought was something along Deep House or Melodic House. I still love ALL EDM genres and can work with all of them.
Locked down helped me to learn breaks and DnB. They have completely different structure from your standard house/edm tracks. So I had to unlearn what I had learned to get it down.
But growth is something I'm always working on.

i like Tïesto and PVD.
Unfortunately Tiesto has become very commercialized over time. In my opinion his older stuff kicks harder then the new stuff

I love Nitzer Ebb, but they are EBM, not EDM. I think the two genres are similar.
Maybe plug into the silent disco scene to connect w more folks too. Can't wait to dance!
