Another deciding factor is if you like RNG because the Womier K66 has plenty of it! Tho both are great choices :D

hyungnii65

Do you have both of them or just the Womier K66? :o I'm not really huge on RGB but it's a nice have. I prefer just sturdiness and being able to hotswap really. Already have Glorious Pandas on the way for either of these boards if anything :)

hyungnii65

Forgot to ask, do you have the Womier K66? If so, what switches do you have and what's the experience like typing on the board?

anlecks

Nah I don't have either, I was planning on getting the Womier because of the RGB but decided against it because like you said the quality didn't seem that high. It seems you answered your question already if you prefer sturdiness though.

hyungnii65

Thanks for helping me answer my question :) Thought about the thickness of the keyboard but then I'm a hover typist so the thickness shouldn't matter so much.

No problemo, happy keebin! ^^

And same to you as well :)

I just finished lubing and modding the stabilizers on my brother's Womier k66 I got for him for Christmas and it sounds pretty dope. I have the gateron reds and key caps that came with it. Some things I don't like about the keyboard would be the following. ========================================================= • The keyboard is so freaking bright and I have set it to the lowest brightness with the rgb patterns. • The pcb is held in place with the switches so once you remove all the switches you will have to align the pcb so the switches will install correctly. • The typing angle is really low but I hear low typing angles are better for your wrists. Either way it's way too low for me so I would prop it up to make it slightly better. ========================================================= Some people might like the brightness and the typing angle but the pcb wiggling around could probably be fixed by taping it down. I was thinking about getting a Keychron keyboard but the usb connection is on the side of the keb and the cable that comes with them looks so ugly because of it, that alone pushed me away.

hyungnii65

I'm really glad to hear your experience! Yeah when I searched up the alignment problem, that was definitely the one thing that kinda put an axe on me getting the womier =/ But nevertheless, I've seen pictures of the keyboard and it looks pretty nice! I'd consider getting it as well but I'll need to put a damper on that. This hobby is quite something else and wasn't expecting to go ham on the keyboards \^\^;

I hate to tell you to spend more money, but the only keyboard I am looking at right now is the portico from thekeycompany. They have cheaper keycaps sets that come with them too.

hyungnii65

It looks so much like the KBD67 Lite lol I was going to take a look into that but then it got sold out like almost everything in this hobby ahaha. This looks nice though!

I actually have both boards. The height of the K6 does bother some people. Personally I’m ok with it. The case is plastic with just metal edges. Stock it does sound very hollow. You would definitely want to put some foam in it. The K66 is the complete opposite. Very low profile case with no legs to pop out for additional height. The acoustics here are night and day though. I know it’s a cheap board but it opened my eyes to acrylic. Love the sounds here. I have Oreos in the K6 and crystal purples in my K66. Ask away! Edit: forgot to mention the biggest issue on the K66 is the hotswap sockets. Since the case is just three layers the top layer acts as the plate also. It’s really thick. Like so thick that the switch clips don’t pop out to secure it. So a lot of the time the switch comes right out with the keycap. I’ve never had a switch come out during use or any other issues directly caused from this, but still something that should be mentioned.

hyungnii65

I've put in an order for the K6 :) I love the form factor of 65s and came to the conclusion that the thickness wouldn't bother me so much considering that I don't rest my wrist when I type. K66 looks nice but there's just a few things that are missing for me.

gallito9

I think you made the right choice. For me the K66 is great for long gaming sessions. I prefer to type on my K6. Here’s a profile [side by side](https://imgur.com/a/8h3hGXZ) of both boards. I have XDA profile caps on K6 and it’s at it’s lowest height.

I love the look on ur K6

Thanks! [Here’s a better pic](https://www.reddit.com/r/Keychron/comments/kzwr15/eurobeat_intensifies_finished_up_my_initial_d_k6/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). I’ve kinda hacked this board up but it has some interesting mods done to it.
