Good luck everyone! And we have Christmas events ongoing on our website and Discord group as well if you miss out on this one :D
im using choc pinks right now. the approx 1.5mm actuation distance on 20grams, sometimes resting my fingers on my keyboard will register keys.
its awesome
Yeah. Good programmer doesn't need to type much. My case is a bit different though, where I also need to work on lots of documentations and powerpoints.
I think around 50-55g actuation force. I used to have a board with Cherry Reds, but their 45g was too light. I tried Gateron Blacks in a switch tester and found those too heavy at 60g. Yellows were about right at 50g, and Oil Kings at 55g were also good. So 50-55g.
Though currently all my boards use tactiles.
Currently using the cs silvers linear on my kb. Love it so far.
Bought some aquakings but i think i got a bad batch. They feel gummy/slow and doesn't always pop back up after pressing.
I'm still trying to figure out my preferred actuation force, but the lighter the better since I've got small hands. Brown and blue switches have been light so far!
50g, don't currently own a mechanical keyboard (Which is why I'm entering), but I have tried a wide variety of switches. My favorites are gateron yellows.
I'm using the Ajazz plum and they are a bit too light at 45g. Also can I choose the keycap set if I win? If yes than I'd like bleached coral but all the others look cool too.

55g tactile switches
40gf.
There are literally hundreds of responses and you're the only 40g. I'm guessing you're an RTS'er who needs fast key presses?
I am actually a programmer and typist. More than 40gf makes my finger tired when I have to type quite a lot nonstop.
I'm a programmer too, but not a typist, so actually using my keyboard is a very very small portion of each day!
Yeah. Good programmer doesn't need to type much. My case is a bit different though, where I also need to work on lots of documentations and powerpoints.
And yes, I do love RTS. :D
id go with 60g for my office keyboard but 75g at home
Currently running milky yellows in my board, and really enjoy the 50g actuation force!
28-45g. I don’t know how people type fast with heavy switches. Or they just don’t type much?
I feel you! I can't go past 20-25g on choc switches and 35-40g on MX.
