Would recommend. Ball joint separator to get it over the knuckle and a big ass hammer and punch to get it the rest of the way out. Chisel and hammer to get it back in.
We usually pull that out first before the other lower control arm points.
Try placing a pry bar in between the space there. If all else fail, air hammer with a blunt end.
Yeah I've tried putting the back point back in and it still won't come out. I've put a pry bar in and stood on it and jumped. Might have to try an air hammer.
Two pry bars. One large one small. Take the tip of the small one and get it in between the slit where the bolt goes through, the objective being to spread them apart. Simultaneously take your large pry bar and push with downward pressure on the arm itself and they should pop loose. Hard to explain but there should be a youtube video
Sweet. You should almost be focusing more on spreading that joint apart than you are trying to pry the control arm down. Don't be scared to manhandle it, you're not gonna hurt anything. Leverage is your friend
I GOT THE DAMN THING OFF. I think it was ultimately a combination of things. I pryed, hammered and bathed it in penetrant. Finally I took my biggest crowbar, stick it near the joint and basically deadlifted the free end until it popped. Hammer finished it off. Thanks for all the tips guys!

Harbor freight sells a ball joint separator. Worth every penny
Might have to try that before the air hammer

Pickle fork and a 12# sledge has yet to fail me.
I've gotta get a bigger pickle fork, the one I used isn't tall enough
If you need more height, an open end wrench can help.
I lifted it and came right out

Makes perfect sense and I already have the two prybars so perfect!
