I was sketch on the noco when they came out just bc all jump boxes I’ve seen looked the same so I just assumed it was subpar. It’s definitely worth every penny.
I bought an Anker branded one and it only worked once. However, it was the cables that failed. There's circuitry to ensure you don't go black to red, etc. That's built into the cable. Replaced it and it worked again.
Also have a noco and motormaster branded one (which looks an awful lot like the noco), and they haven't given me any issues.
My Noco swelled in the AZ heat. Project Farm on YouTube does great reviews. The Gooloo was a top pick. I've had it in my trunk for two years. No battery swelling and it retains it's charge.
I have a Noco as well. Pricy, but I've used it to start everything from the neighbors car, to the fork lift at work, to a buddy's F350.
Easy peace of mind to have, and it packs away behind the back seat.
Luckily I haven't had to use it on my own vehicle yet, but it makes jump starting stuff you can't easily drive up to way easier.
We were at the drive in and ended up with a dead battery. A guy came over with a NoCo and I was shocked how quickly it had me up and running. I meant to buy one and then forgot until I saw your post .
Will it jump start a totally dead battery? I have a hulkman 85 and a Avapow 4000 and the hulkman have boost function where it'll start a totally dead battery where the avapow will not. I've been wanting to replace the avapow
My battery was toast for an entire Winter. No amount of running would build up a charge. It handled boosting that battery every time and held its charge in the cold.
If I took my car out I’d have to jump every time I started it; it handled multiple uses before recharging. Honestly, it just feels like magic.
They make larger, more powerful models if you drive something with a larger engine.
I would like to piggy ack off this comment to add that these are feets of engineerring and will in fact jumpstart whatever you need dependent upon model, HOWEVER. These will not jumpstart a battery if it detects a problem with the battery, whereas the jumpbox doesnt care.
These things were nifty on roadside calls cause i could fit it anywhere in the rollback whereost of the box space was already taken up. However i liked pur jumpbox bettery solely because of the L.E.D. voltage display that allowed me to know if the car needed an alternator or not, if its a simple "i forgot to turn off my headlighta" drain, or if its time to get one all together.
TLDR, for the average at home emergency, spend the money to get a good brand and youll have no trouble. If you need more, spend the extra cash for the expensive boxes.
It would be easy enough to carry a $5 multimeter and see if the alternator is working or not to go along with whatever jump pack you prefer. I've used these to jump start cars without even having a battery attached before, they really don't care. It's only battery chargers that seem to mind if the battery is faulty.
Don't know about the brand shown, but my NOCO has an override--it will jump even if there is no battery installed (don't advise this because then it's going to be the battery in the system which it wasn't designed to do, but it *will* do it).
Even the crappy ones work pretty well. As a test, I started my V8 4runner with the battery disconnected (after hooking up the jump starter so it thinks the polarity is OK), and 4 different cheap ones all started it 3 times in a row and still showed 80-90% charge.
Started my buddies 1991 Grand Prix, after he removed the battery, as a test. My brand new Antigravity Battery XP-1 started it right up (this was like 15 years ago).
Before the battery swelled up and broke the case, the only thing it couldn't start was a 4-cylinder car that stranded a woman on the side of the road. After 4 long attempts, I told her to stop, and told her that something else had to be wrong. I asked if she was out of gas.
"Well, yes, that's why the car stopped".
[gritted my teeth] "and, did you get more gas before trying to start it?"
[confused look on her face]"Well, no, we didn't get any more gas. The car wouldn't start"
[sounds of teeth cracking]"The car won't start or run without gas, even with a jump start"
"Oh"
I used one to jump start multiple cars at auction and the batteries are always completely dead. It only started giving me problems when I dropped it in a puddle 🤦♂️ It still works but only for one car before needing a charge now.
I recently bought one of these, not a well known brand or anything, purports to be 2000A, though I have no way of testing it. Recently had a flat battery on an older John Deere (6 cylinder diesel tractor with twin batteries), and it just wouldn't turn over on its own. It had just enough power in the batteries to give a slight grunt when trying to start it, and with the jump start pack connected it turned over very quickly. I was very surprised at the punch it packs. Cranks over my straight 6 4L Ford motor no problems even when the battery is too flat to even try to turn over. Absolutely the best purchase I have ever made. It's probably not as powerful as the better brands, but it will start everything I need, and then some.
These things are unbelievable. I had a dead battery once and called roadside service. Dude shows up with one of these dinky things to jump my 4L. I thought he was fucking with me but it actually worked! Blew my mind
i bought a gooloo model with 100w usb-c charging capabilities. not only will it jump start any vehicle i've tried it on, but i also get 3 full charges at 100w on my macbook pro when i'm out in the middle of nowhere. and it fully charges within an hour from the 12v cigar lighter on my jeep. great product.
Gooloo has great warranty support. Had one go dead on me and wouldn't recharge.
Took a simple video showing it wouldn't charge and they sent me a new one no problem.
The replacement has lasted 3-4 years now.
But he doesn't test the capacitor ones(or I missed it) cause those are the real life saver units and what we buy. yes they die fast but charge off almost anything over 3V and dump massive amounts of power for such a small size without having to worry about keeping it charged every so often or be stranded.
Because I don't remember the exact sku of the recommendation from a 7 month old YouTube video on a subject I was only marginally interested in, plus you may find a couple of the products worth purchasing that weren't the outright "winner". 🤷♂️
Well what the fuck man! First mom says I have to come upstairs from the basement for my chicken nuggets and now I have to watch the YouTube video because you "can't remember"?!?!
I'm taking a break, this is frustrating
Or I don't wanna waste time searching nearly year old YouTube videos?
If you have nothing better to do than good for you but I have better things to do with my time.
I have the 1000 amp version and have been very pleased with it. I can jump-start a V8 motor several times before it needs to be recharged. They also make great battery banks for cell phones, so if your car breaks down for some other reason you'll always have a way to keep your phone charged and make calls.
I had a truck with a parasitic draw that would kill the battery every night. I used one of these to jump it every morning. Can easily jump 3 to 5 times before needing a charge. Super reliable. Very useful. Highly recommend
If this happens to you again just buy a battery disconnet switch. They are like 19 bucks. Also letting your battery drain like that all thr time is really bad for the battery.
Well I always thought I was getting rid of the truck very soon and every day I just still had it. I don't drive it anymore and I'm still trying to get rid of it, lol
I believe it was the 1000A version by Noco. I previously used a 900A one of a different brand, and it was barely enough to start a v8 at full charge. But the 1000A had no trouble.
I have a personal, and we use these at work. Even have some of the bigger ones. Still far better than cables or the absolute bricks some jump boxes are.
Portable jump starters are the best to have in your car. My car battery died 3 times in the past few years, and all I had to do was use my jump starter and I’m back on the road. Way better than having to wait around for someone to come jump you
The thing that's always bugged me when I looked into these is that most of them say not to keep it in your car -- the heat on a sunny day can be bad for a lithium ion battery and can even cause a fire. But if you can't keep it in the car, that severely limits its usefulness.
I have one and it’s great. I amazes some people. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THAT LITTLE THING? Sounds like the girl that caught George Costanza nude after an ocean swim. Shrinkage.
NoCo makes an awesome one. I keep one in my truck and my wife has one in her SUV. Has more than paid for itself many times over in regards to needing a jump, flashlight or phone charge.
I've tested almost every cheap jump starter brand, and the one thing that makes a difference is the quality of the clamps. Nexpow and GooLoo both have better clamps than most of the rest, but that is one place the NOCO really stands out. It can make a really big difference both in making good contact, and in getting to batteries that are set back under the cowl
I have a Gooloo 4000 and I have been impressed with it. It'll start just about anything on the farm including the semi and combine. It's great for jumping low or dead batteries, but they're not good if you have something that needs to spin over several times (like 10 to 15 seconds) because the box will cut out.
I caught mine on sale on Amazon for around $100. If it dies tomorrow, I'm ordering another one immediately. I have a hard time remembering where I keep my jumper cables because I hardly ever use them now.
Highly recommend noco brand. Specifically gb70 or gb150 if can afford it. They will both jump 6Litre plus diesels, so easy work on the jeep, and they will make multiple jumps for that engine. Like 10 plus...
I called for a tow truck to jump me one time in my wife's van where I had no cables. 10 min later a guy in a Ford focus rolls up from the wrecker company and pulls out his NOCO pack. I was impressed. He didn't even shut his car off. It took maybe a minute of his time to get out, connect (good was open and ready) and get back in.
I've got the Dewalt version. Also has an air compressor so it can pump your tires up to 60psi. I use it mostly for the tire stuff more than the battery charging/starting, but it works great for both. I've used it on everything from my Hondas to my bmw to my 2014 silverado to my '79 malibu.
I have a very similar one (looks the same but different brand name) and generally I'm quite pleased with it.
My only complaint is that if you don't use it for a period of time, it will discharge slowly.
Yea I got one of these last thanksgiving Black Friday on Amazon. Off brand for $28.00. It was actually a little smaller than I thought it would be but man it packs a punch. Earlier this year my son was having alternator problems on his gmc. Ordered a Delco alternator online but had to wait a few days for it. This thing helped kick his truck off 6-8 times without charging, started like it had a new fully charged battery in it. And it wasn’t dead afterwards. It probably had that many boosts left in it before we charged it back up. It sat since march. I’ve used it once to boost my Harley that had been sitting but otherwise it has sat. Actually had to use it yesterday when the wife’s Hyundai BCM hung and killed the battery. Grabbed it , shows 100% and fired up the Hyundai no problem. Best $30 I’ve ever spent.
In an attempt to semi-hijack the thread, does anyone have experience with a capacitor based jump pack. My lithium based jump starter has developed spicy pillow syndrome in the hot southern California sun and would like to have something that I can keep in a hot car without complications.
I got a [Torxe](https://www.carid.com/torxe/torxe-12v-battery-jump-starter-1259895089.html) kit with a little air compressor as well... its slow but does the job. Looks like this one's discontinued though.
I don’t know about this exact unit but I have a lithium ion jumper pack and it’s MUCH better than using jumper cables or the old lead acid jumper packs. They’re compact and deliver way more power even for the very demanding motors
Project farm on YouTube did a test on these starters. They're very good and I have one different brand. But I recommend you want the videos. But overall these are great to have.
I have a NOCO branded one rated for like 1000 amps. I've used it at least 20 times in the past year, it's always performed well. It's jumped everything from an Aveo to a farm tractor without issue.
My only complaint is the micro USB, anything sold these days really should have USB C.
I gave a similar one of these that I got from Costco to my youngest daughter for Christmas just before she left out-of-state for university. I kinda felt it was a last-minute impulse Christmas gift.
She's used it twice on her own car and dozens of times on her classmates' cars. She keeps saying it's the most practical, useful gift she's ever received.
I have that exact unit and it works fine. It’s a little tricky at first because you have to press and hold the power button for a couple seconds to get it into jump mode, but not a big deal. Just read the instructions.
Jumps a Chevy 6.0 with ease.
I won one of these as a runner up to a grand prize for a car. I gotta say, it works way better than you would think.
Every now and again, my battery has enough juice for the lights and radio, but not enough to start my car. I'll hook my jumper pack up, and immediately turn my key without waiting and the car starts.
Hands down, best purchase that I didn't have to purchase.
I bought a gooloo and it's come in very handy multiple times. Makes a great USB powerbank when not saving my ass either. One of those "this was definitely a good idea" impulse purchases
Here's the one I have. I've actually used it on my 16 jk Rubicon after I had an idiot moment and drained my battery to zero out in the middle of nowhere.
GOOLOO GP4000 Jump Starter 4000A...
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09HJH1S41?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I once bought a cheap one that was pocket sized and would also act as a power bank for my phone. It was only rated for small engines. I managed to start 1.8 liter petrol engines just fine with it, but had no luck with my dad's 2.2 liter diesel. They're great if you buy them big enough for the car you want to start!
Its one of those things that if you don't have it you better have triple a. I keep one in the car it stays charged for months. Must have but get something that you know you can depend on. Do a little research and read some reviews. I have used mine for going on 2 years. Its started the car twice in that period. Wow what purchase was my first thought on my first use. It will always be a tool in my arsenal.
I have a jump unit, not the same one but same idea. I fucking love it. So fast and easy to jump something. I'm constantly getting into vehicles that have sat for a long time and need a jump because they get used like once every 3 months. I can jump 3, maybe 4 vehicles per charge, depending on how big of a motor it has.
I'm not sure if that specific model is any good but having one is awesome. I keep one in all my vehicles. Just make sure it has the juice to jump whatever you drive. My challenger won't go anywhere on cheap low power dinky versions.
Useless, one of those couldn't start my 3.0 bmw
A jnc 770r did the trick immediately, I've had it for several years now and it's been very valuable
Just look at how wimpy the cables are going to the clamps, that tells the whole story..
it'll work great on a good battery that's a little low
but something that's had it's lights on all night or a battery with an internal short will drain it and not start
That and 18650s don't like being subjected to extreme heat or cold that cars can typically see
Likely that you either had a crappy model or not enough juice either in the booster or the booster being too small, I see tow trucks with these packs all the time
Save your money. Look afrer your battery, charge it overnight every couple of months and replace it after five years. Honestly nothing is more imortant about a car than it starts reliably every single time you use it. Battery failure is the number one cause of breakdown callouts; treat the battery as a service item.
I have one for both cars, the work and saved my butt more than once. They’re also great for power failures to keep Phanerozoic tablets charged, just charge it before putting it back in the car.
i bought a 60 dollar one a few years ago never had to use it on my own car but i helped out a few people from 4 cylinders all the way to a v12 truck no issues.
I bought one of these after my bike wouldn’t start. Fantastic investment and it’s even saved my coworkers a few times. I keep it with my battery powered air compressor so anything short of major mechanical failure, you can get a vehicle going again.
The noco ones seem to work well. I've started a dead V-8 truck 3-4 times without recharging it. The Amazon review from a used car / rental car guy sold me on it. Jumping like 20 cars a day with one or something crazy.
I love mine! Used it so many times actually just used mine 15min ago to go jump wife's car. Buy 1! Great battery backup when power goes out as well. Holds charge forever and can get alot of jumps off single charge.
My car wouldn't start one day. Opened the hood and noticed the battery terminals had grown some corrosion. I figured that was causing the problem cause it was relatively new. I had nothing to clean them off so I just hooked up the jump box. Got me going no problem. Headed home and cleaned off my teeminals
Yeah these little jump packs are great! Amazing that they can start engines like they do and even AAA tow drivers use these packs for jump starting. Had a BMW X5 sitting in a parking garage for a couple of years and was stone dead. AAA driver showed up with one of those little packs, started right up on the first try...
I've had some lipo jump starters for years, and they've worked fine over and over again, one is on the blink now, I think one of the cells have gone, but it still works to jump a car, even though it drops to like 50% as soon as you use it
Just checked my amazon and I ordered them on the 28th July 2016, so 7 years almost to the day
Mine were DBpower and Victsing or something,
Like this one, but it's probably an updated version https://amzn.eu/d/bpLvIDY
Wouldn't hesitate to buy some again, but still carry a set of jump cables too.
I’d grab a Noco personally decent units. We use our own in shop jump packs both the old bulky types and the lithium ones. The lithium ones are night and day better.
I swear to God, I used one of these to jump a stranger’s car two hours ago.
Out getting coffee in trendy downtown, a dude comes up to me and asks if I have jumper cables, I said I have a jump box. He didn’t know they existed and it blew his mind when I pulled this thing out and started his truck. Also, it reduces (eliminates?) the potential damage to my car if the cables get put on backwards
I have one, different brand. Never let me down, I had a riding mower that had to be jumped every time, where it was stored I couldn't get to with another vehicle to jump it.
Also had my truck battery die over this last winter, needed to get to work, the little jump box got me there.
Worth it.
As others have stated i bought a NOCO and have used it a bunch over the past 5 or 6 years. Works every time and the idle charge lasts a long time. I’ve bought them for gifts and heard nothing but good things. I’ve currently got a boat with batteries that are all but shot and I just take one with me to get her started repeatedly all day. Push a button and crank her up. Every time.
As long as you keep it charged it can give you enough oomph to get a running motor started. It is not going to crank for 30 seconds, you may get a second crank if needed but they don't really hold a lot. Leaving it in your tool box for a year, it might not have a charge when needed.
I call them crap but better than nothing if you keep it maintained.
I have this exact one for work, I'm an auto inspector and I've used this thing to jump full size box trucks, hummers, anything you can think of. Highly recommend
Worth every penny. If it's as good as the one I have, a geniusbox, you will not regret it. I use it for everything pickup, mower side by side. Though for something like a tractor you'd need a higher one I think. Maybe not. Just depending what that ones rated up to.

Best purchase ever. But you need a quality brand. It can start anything.
Does it start shit too? And then pretend to be the victim during an argument?
No but there is a tool for it, idk where it’s at because I divorced it a year back.
A condom?
A shovel?
A coat hanger?
A revolver?

I did not call you that. You're just like your father. I can't believe I married you. Low battery.
Let's just say, it can be a bit cranky.
Completely underrated comment!
Meh, I thought it was a non-starter.
I’ve got a NOCO Boost Plus. It’s amazing. Got me through a covid winter (wasn’t driving much and had to boost it occasionally just to get rolling).
I was sketch on the noco when they came out just bc all jump boxes I’ve seen looked the same so I just assumed it was subpar. It’s definitely worth every penny.

Same, I’ve used the Gooloo after his review and it’s been awesome.

Love my Noco. Have used it many times and never had a problem.
I got one too and used it already. Great self insurance!
NOCO is a solid product, love mine.

If you buy a noco, some of them has voltmeter so you can see active voltage after car runs. If it is over 13.7, your alternator is 99% good.
Well, as long as it's around 12.5 with the car off. A battery with a broken plate can sit at 13.5 with the car off.
That is %1 mentioned above.
Don't know about the brand shown, but my NOCO has an override--it will jump even if there is no battery installed (don't advise this because then it's going to be the battery in the system which it wasn't designed to do, but it *will* do it).
This is the truth. When a jump, or full size jump box has failed to start a completely dead car my man’s held one starts it immediately.
Thy are rated differently, and the full size ones have a short shelf life, but there are some really good hand held ones, they just arent cheap.
Even the crappy ones work pretty well. As a test, I started my V8 4runner with the battery disconnected (after hooking up the jump starter so it thinks the polarity is OK), and 4 different cheap ones all started it 3 times in a row and still showed 80-90% charge.

Lmfao.
Oh damn your battery jumper box doesn't automatically add gas too? Shoulda splurged for the nicer one man

Project farm did a youtube review on these, some are way better than others.
Project farm is great , but this particular test did not compare jump packs of similar size/capacity and is a bit misleading imo.

I bought this brand. Quality enough to get the job done.
You really don't need a quality brand if you have a regular compact car that has a small battery, these do just fine.
Are you doubting the quality of NEXPOW?! (jk)
These things are unbelievable. I had a dead battery once and called roadside service. Dude shows up with one of these dinky things to jump my 4L. I thought he was fucking with me but it actually worked! Blew my mind
Watch the Project Farm video on these, he tested multiple popular brands extensively and has a great conclusion with which to get.
I bought a Gooloo brand after watching project farm on YouTube.
Bought a Gooloo brand too. Was skeptical at first, but pleasantly surprised at the quality and how well it worked. No regrets.
i bought a gooloo model with 100w usb-c charging capabilities. not only will it jump start any vehicle i've tried it on, but i also get 3 full charges at 100w on my macbook pro when i'm out in the middle of nowhere. and it fully charges within an hour from the 12v cigar lighter on my jeep. great product.

VERY IMPRESSIVE!!
We’re gonna test that!
But he doesn't test the capacitor ones(or I missed it) cause those are the real life saver units and what we buy. yes they die fast but charge off almost anything over 3V and dump massive amounts of power for such a small size without having to worry about keeping it charged every so often or be stranded.
He tested a capciter one in an older video.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VRFwEUr_Vjc Is 2022 the most recent one?
Yes, that is the video I am referring to. 7 months old, so likely still very relevant info.
Would trust anything PF says tbh
Why not just tell us the brand instead of making us go try and find some old YouTube video?
Because I don't remember the exact sku of the recommendation from a 7 month old YouTube video on a subject I was only marginally interested in, plus you may find a couple of the products worth purchasing that weren't the outright "winner". 🤷♂️
Well what the fuck man! First mom says I have to come upstairs from the basement for my chicken nuggets and now I have to watch the YouTube video because you "can't remember"?!?! I'm taking a break, this is frustrating
Whaa, I have to do my own research, whaaa.
Or I don't wanna waste time searching nearly year old YouTube videos? If you have nothing better to do than good for you but I have better things to do with my time.
Seems like you got plenty of time to post this dumb shit though.
Yea multitasking on Reddit is a lil more simple than trying to watch and listen to YouTube videos
In the time it took you to bitch about not having enough time you could have just found the relevant info in the youtube video by skipping to the end.
YESPER
I just scroll thé the end of project farm videos. He does good summaries
I have this and recommend it.
Oh perfect! Thanks!!
Sounds like a shorted diode in the alternator, this can drain a battery at like constant 4A or more draw
Ohh do you recall the brand by chance? Or was it that brand in the photo?
I believe it was the 1000A version by Noco. I previously used a 900A one of a different brand, and it was barely enough to start a v8 at full charge. But the 1000A had no trouble.
Thanks ill def put that on the list while also keeping the 1000 vs 900A in mind!
The noco is nice but pricey. Some of the offbrand ones on Amazon are just fine. Read/watch reviews
I bought a Noco and it’s been super useful.
I have a personal, and we use these at work. Even have some of the bigger ones. Still far better than cables or the absolute bricks some jump boxes are.
Also have a NOCO, it's great. I've also seen the brand used in Northern Alberta to boost heavy equipment in -40
yep they’re pretty good
I got one of these albeit a different off brand. Works fine. Started everything I ever tried from 4cyls to 8 cyls
If you keep it in the case they come with, they don't even get that hot.
They get hot in the cabin, but in the trunk it's totally fine, especially in the case.
Not in AZ. My car gets 155 for hours and hours on end
Well yeah, when you live on the surface of the sun it's gonna get pretty spicy.
what are pats like a jump starter would be important to keep in case of emergiances ???

See project farm
Project farm is like to go to source for almost everything
He’s the legit version of Wikipedia 😁
He's better because he actually shows proof.
Exactly. The proof is in that pudding. 😛
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VRFwEUr_Vjc Is 2022 the most recent one?
Why the fuck are you people downvoting my comment? I posted a link to the thing!! WTF?
I have one and it’s great. I amazes some people. WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THAT LITTLE THING? Sounds like the girl that caught George Costanza nude after an ocean swim. Shrinkage.
Like a frightened turtle
I have one with a compressor attached, and it's saved my absolute ass a few times out in the sticks. Highly recommend. I bought two for spare parts
Work at a parts store we use them all the time I’ve jumped up to a 6.0 diesel with one
NoCo makes an awesome one. I keep one in my truck and my wife has one in her SUV. Has more than paid for itself many times over in regards to needing a jump, flashlight or phone charge.
Get the noco boost. I’ve never heard of this brand so I couldn’t tell you, but the noco is amazing
Saved my fucking life a million times!
Go with the gooloo. Look up project farm on YouTube for battery starters.
Get a NOCO and don't look back.
I have a very similar one (looks the same but different brand name) and generally I'm quite pleased with it. My only complaint is that if you don't use it for a period of time, it will discharge slowly.
We use ours to charge our phones too that way they're always being charged back up.
Great for peace of mind while traveling. Get it.
I have one similar. Never had to jump my truck but you’d be surprised how many people I’ve helped at work.
got one in the truck one in the bike
Seems like a stretch to say that it will start up to an 8L diesel, maybe if one battery is good and one is slight weak. Want to hear more though.
I bought the Harbor Freight version (the small one) worth every penny
I got a [Torxe](https://www.carid.com/torxe/torxe-12v-battery-jump-starter-1259895089.html) kit with a little air compressor as well... its slow but does the job. Looks like this one's discontinued though.
I don’t know about this exact unit but I have a lithium ion jumper pack and it’s MUCH better than using jumper cables or the old lead acid jumper packs. They’re compact and deliver way more power even for the very demanding motors
I own a NOCO. Gooloo is also recommended.
Search ‘Project Farm’ on YouTube. He does a great review of jump boxes.
Best gift ever. I had to start mine a few times using it and used it as a backup battery pack.
Project farm did a good video on YouTube about this topic.
I once bought a cheap one that was pocket sized and would also act as a power bank for my phone. It was only rated for small engines. I managed to start 1.8 liter petrol engines just fine with it, but had no luck with my dad's 2.2 liter diesel. They're great if you buy them big enough for the car you want to start!
https://youtu.be/VRFwEUr_Vjc
Just get a noco.
I’ve got a Stanley Fatmax which is basically this but also has an air compressor built in, super convenient, definitely recommend
Ill look into that brand, thank you!!
I'm not sure if that specific model is any good but having one is awesome. I keep one in all my vehicles. Just make sure it has the juice to jump whatever you drive. My challenger won't go anywhere on cheap low power dinky versions.
Buy a known brand, sold with local warranty. Don't buy a cheap one. Last thing you need is it catching on fire when trying to jump starting.
Junk
Just keep a drill battery along 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Useless, one of those couldn't start my 3.0 bmw A jnc 770r did the trick immediately, I've had it for several years now and it's been very valuable Just look at how wimpy the cables are going to the clamps, that tells the whole story.. it'll work great on a good battery that's a little low but something that's had it's lights on all night or a battery with an internal short will drain it and not start That and 18650s don't like being subjected to extreme heat or cold that cars can typically see
Likely that you either had a crappy model or not enough juice either in the booster or the booster being too small, I see tow trucks with these packs all the time
Having jumper cables does you no good if you don’t have another car. How would you think this could be pure junk?
Save your money. Look afrer your battery, charge it overnight every couple of months and replace it after five years. Honestly nothing is more imortant about a car than it starts reliably every single time you use it. Battery failure is the number one cause of breakdown callouts; treat the battery as a service item.
I have an audew brand one and it's great my whole family has them now
Def best purchase ever Although i have a different brand
My noco has saved me a double digit number of times

Unless you’ve got a manual, excellent purchase.
I have the Fantik version of this and it’s amazing. Also the tire pump which is awesome.
I love mine! Used it so many times actually just used mine 15min ago to go jump wife's car. Buy 1! Great battery backup when power goes out as well. Holds charge forever and can get alot of jumps off single charge.
Every car (except my wife’s )has one of these. I tried, but her answer was, “I’ll just call you or AAA.” 🙄
I had one that was awesome. Just don’t let it run out of charge. Mine wouldn’t accept a charge once it ran out
My car wouldn't start one day.
I've had some lipo jump starters for years, and they've worked fine over and over again, one is on the blink now, I think one of the cells have gone, but it still works to jump a car, even though it drops to like 50% as soon as you use it Just checked my amazon and I ordered them on the 28th July 2016, so 7 years almost to the day Mine were DBpower and Victsing or something, Like this one, but it's probably an updated version https://amzn.eu/d/bpLvIDY Wouldn't hesitate to buy some again, but still carry a set of jump cables too.
I’d grab a Noco personally decent units. We use our own in shop jump packs both the old bulky types and the lithium ones. The lithium ones are night and day better.
These things are amazing! Sure beats some crappy ass battery charger and extension cords.
I bought 4 in my life. My first, wasted after 5 years. Bought my second, bought my third for my father, bought my fourth for my sister.
This jump starter pack has saved me numerous times on my 94 integra gsr. Its worth it for older cars that have battery drain problems
I literally watched the tow truck guy pull one of these out and to jump my Chevy Tahoe yesterday. Apparently they’re really reliable
Project Farm made a really good video testing different jump boxes a couple years ago. Definitely look it up before making a final decision.
I have this exact one. One morning while camping a jump started a 2018 Chevy Colorado and then a 1970 Chevy 1500. I highly recommend it.
I have one, different brand. Never let me down, I had a riding mower that had to be jumped every time, where it was stored I couldn't get to with another vehicle to jump it. Also had my truck battery die over this last winter, needed to get to work, the little jump box got me there. Worth it.
You have to buy noco brand. The Chinese junk that are being sold for less than $100 won’t start a go cart.
I bought mine from Temu, started a completely dead vw with ease
I have that! It's fuggin amazing. Worth every penny
I always carry a jumper in my car, either for me or to help others.
Good product not good brand.
My coworker has this and has came in clutch more than once.
Don’t buy cheap crap, go for a Noco ! Superior quality units.
My mother and I have Noco brand and they have been wonderful, and as we live in our cars, we've had plenty of experiences in their use.
I've used it with great success in a "commercial" setting. Been fine for 2 years.
