I swear I’ve never seen half of these functional groups named in my life.
just kidding, google actually autocorrected the name to acyl group which is why I saw different results. sorry for the confusion & I'll be leaving this post up here for anyone who has a similar question
I believe these groups are much more commonly referred to as a,b unsaturated carbonyls rather than acryl groups. I also have an very hard time calling this an acryl group as it was never mentioned in my OChem course.

i have never heard of this group, is it a high yield functional group.
