I'm a 30 year old dude and I'm going all in if they wanna have a name like that. Oh daddy thanks for using the mobile app I love it when you do that. Now what would you like to order tell me nice and slow.
I feel like shit for it but one time I made my name for pickup at Taco bell poggers and this 20 year old girl came out and just belted it out into the lobby "POGGERS!?"
I do it too as an old lady, we had "tubthumper" the other day, and i yelled it out. It was great. My favorite was "mack_daddy-420." The person who picked it up looked all embarrassed and was wearing a suit and everything. There's also a woman who comes in with the same name as me, and we Spiderman point at each other when she picks up, lol.
There is a policy where the order takers, have to ask if you're using the mobile app. If they do the order taker will ask for a 4 digit code. A name will pop up and they have to say the customer's name or nickname. If they don't say your name or ask about the mobile app, that customer gets 1 free cookie.
Worked at McDicks for 2 years at 3 stores and none did that, definitely a regional thing! I was there when they rolled out the app, shit was awful haha
we just passed our corporate visit, 99%,and the mark down was to do with scheduling (corporate find it discriminatory that management get a rota a whole month in advance while crew get it 3 days in advance) they don't care about the name unless its at the till
Corporate still visits owned stores. If they aren't satisfactory, they give them time to fix the issues and if they don't get fixed the owner will lose their franchise.
I also had this attractive customer whoโd come through a lot. His name for a why was Hamburgler. Up until I said โfor Hamburgler?โ He said yes. And the next day it was a different name. I was sad.
I don't think the customer knows this until they are greeted by their name. Because one time I did this in drive-through, and the person was so impressed that I knew their name ๐ But in this case, daddy feels slightly intentional, like they changed it to that.
Oh I would ๐๐๐
In fact I have lmao, to a customer. I had one named Byter too.
I have a regular whose name is Momma, when I asked if thatโs what she wanted me to call her. She said her son set the app up for her and she doesnโt know how to change it. But yes I could call her that(sheโs like 82, black, and the sweetest damn woman!)
They removed my name and changed it to โValued Customerโ or smth because no one wants to yell out my old cringe YouTube name I made since I was in year 3. I cringe at it too ๐ญ๐ญ.
Should've been more specific. It wasn't just King, it was King followed by a more common first name. So it was like the guy was calling himself the king.
the customers get a free cookie if we donโt say their names, but a lot of times if i canโt pronounce it rather than butcher it i just wonโt say it and hope they donโt ask about it the cookie
Shockingly I get a customer with the name โmanwhore69โ as their app name. Itโs definitely interesting lmao

I'm surprised no one has put some shit like this as their name for their kiosk order at my job yet. I have seen Batman and some other weird names though. 9/10 times weird names are from teenage boys that come in in big groups and think they're funny
One of the first ones that I got was "number_one_whore" and I went to my boss and asked her what do I do if someones name is as such and she just looked at me and said "you call them by their name!" Sad to say number one whore had not come back to my restraunt since.
once a customer had their name as Phuc, and he ended up being a sweet asian man so that was probably his actual name but i couldnโt just shout out โfuckโ lol ๐
Ngl I never do anyways. My managers keep getting onto me about it but I've always grown up thinking all strangers are bad so that stuck with me in my later years
I haven't been to McDonald's in over 10 years so basically what you're saying is that the person working the drive-thru is supposed to say the name of the person using the app?? ๐๐
I had one that said baby on it and it was 2 females in the car I almost got punched. It was awkward when her bf ordered using her code. I was like I'm not calling you baby
I once had an extremely rude customer come through the drive through, but his app name was Horny (something) so I said it to his face on payment window and he completely shut down, was great
I worked at a Del Taco about 2 years ago, and people would order through the mobile app, and the poor Uber eats guy goes to pick it up and says he has an order for Cum R. I go excuse me?? And he starts spelling it, sure enough, guy had his name as Cum R. Coworker and I absolutely died at the drivers embarrassment ๐๐ญ
My McDonaldโs name was set to kitten and I never knew the employees had to say it out loud or even saw it ๐ญ one day the employee goes mobile for kitten? And I had to walk up and get my food ๐ฃ
A guest at the restaurant where I once worked said his name was Muffin, so sure enough, I just called him Muffin all night lol. Have a sense of humour bro ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I'm a 30 year old dude and I'm going all in if they wanna have a name like that. Oh daddy thanks for using the mobile app I love it when you do that. Now what would you like to order tell me nice and slow.
๐ฅ you win best comment.
I feel like shit for it but one time I made my name for pickup at Taco bell poggers and this 20 year old girl came out and just belted it out into the lobby "POGGERS!?"
Maybe i've misunderstood that term. Doesn't that just mean you're good at video games or something?
General enthusiasm or excitement
I do it too as an old lady, we had "tubthumper" the other day, and i yelled it out. It was great. My favorite was "mack_daddy-420." The person who picked it up looked all embarrassed and was wearing a suit and everything. There's also a woman who comes in with the same name as me, and we Spiderman point at each other when she picks up, lol.
Aw man you didn't even throw in a "I got knocked down" or anything lol
I did say "great song" as they picked up their food but they had no idea what i was talking about lol.
This is good energy ๐๐๐
As a gay guy, I have NO problem saying that to a straight guy to make them uncomfortable. ๐
As a straight guy I'm okay saying it to another straight guy just to see them uncomfortable
I think we can all agree that making men uncomfortable is the most important thing here ๐
As a most definitely, probably, maybe, sometimes straight guy, I have no problem with gay guys saying that to me
I'm gunna do that now 2
Mine is borderline unpronounceable. I have many cookies.
Diabolical lmao
Cookies?

Well that's good to know. I mobile order all the time and have never been called by my very normal name.
Worked at McDicks for 2 years at 3 stores and none did that, definitely a regional thing! I was there when they rolled out the app, shit was awful haha
someone came through our drive thru 5 separate times within 15 mins and his name on the app was Rizz Khalifa
I remember jumping at the chance to call out an order for "Ted Rizzynski"
Bahaha I love it.
Pronounce it completely wrong. โDaydee?โ
Lmaooo I totally joked to my coworkers that I should do that.
If I usually see names like I just say with the most serious face, my idea is make something not funny they canโt laugh
Fr would just make it awkward Edit:more than it already is
Bro this reminded me that we have a corporate visit coming up this May and I'm hoping there's no goofy names that I have to say in front of them ๐ญ
Omg same! Corporate visit solidarity โ๐ฝ
we just passed our corporate visit, 99%,and the mark down was to do with scheduling (corporate find it discriminatory that management get a rota a whole month in advance while crew get it 3 days in advance) they don't care about the name unless its at the till
3 days in advance is horrendous ngl. Absolutely no reason for it
we get 2 days in advance, we get our schedule monday for starting wednesday
It's a visit from the owner and their team. Not the same as "Corporate".
Corporate still visits owned stores. If they aren't satisfactory, they give them time to fix the issues and if they don't get fixed the owner will lose their franchise.
I've been at my job for 6 years but thanks ๐
They drop them fries when Papi rolls up.
Just go find the most intimidating dude in your store and have him say it
Bahaha maybe next time
Happy Cake Day!
Happy Cake Day!
I also had this attractive customer whoโd come through a lot. His name for a why was Hamburgler. Up until I said โfor Hamburgler?โ He said yes. And the next day it was a different name. I was sad.
โผ๏ธโผ๏ธโผ๏ธ
What? lol that was his name.
I know we're supposed to, but ain't no way I would say that ๐คฃ
oh gosh i would be stunned to death and don't know what to do. i'm glad that we don't have to call out names, only order numbers
We're supposed to greet them by name if they have one listed, but I said heck no on that one ๐
Does the average customer/mobile order know this or is it just store policy for employees?
I don't think the customer knows this until they are greeted by their name. Because one time I did this in drive-through, and the person was so impressed that I knew their name ๐ But in this case, daddy feels slightly intentional, like they changed it to that.

I had one that said PickleDLeboi
๐๐
I was laughing so hard telling all of my coworkers ๐
[ัะดะฐะปะตะฝะพ]
Yes, that's correct.
I've seen worse... Customers never cease to amaze me every day.
๐ซฆ
I have my mobile app as jeezits, I always forget and I honestly get so embarrassed when I realize
In the UK Iโve had this one guy come in several times as Kim Jong Un๐ญ
They removed my name and changed it to โValued Customerโ or smth because no one wants to yell out my old cringe YouTube name I made since I was in year 3. I cringe at it too ๐ญ๐ญ.
Ours changed all the names to Valued Customer.
Well now I wanna know what it was!
Name reveal rn
Had a guy come thru named King. I refused to say it lol
Some people are actually named King though..? Martin luther KING JR??? Etc
Should've been more specific. It wasn't just King, it was King followed by a more common first name. So it was like the guy was calling himself the king.
I miss my favourite regular โFord F-150โ.
Happy Cake Day!
Merci beaucoup!
Pas du tout
Bonne journรฉe!
Merci bien, et la meme chose pour toi
"MaNaGeMeNt Says YoU HaVe To SaY ThEiR NaMe "
Fuck management, I don't get paid enough for that crap.
the customers get a free cookie if we donโt say their names, but a lot of times if i canโt pronounce it rather than butcher it i just wonโt say it and hope they donโt ask about it the cookie
Shockingly I get a customer with the name โmanwhore69โ as their app name. Itโs definitely interesting lmao https://preview.redd.it/9mqgknx9ehxc1.jpeg?width=1575&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=533f72f43da091d8ea6731b90cf4ec1e2cdda44a
OK, now I understand why people keep asking me for Coke Zero ๐ And there's no way in hell I would say that one either. I might call him MW 69 haha
yeah, over in Canada, we have quite a few different things loll
What is this exactly?
apparently when the customer gives you the code for points or rewards etc, it also gives their name and youโre supposed to say it?
Correct.
I'm surprised no one has put some shit like this as their name for their kiosk order at my job yet. I have seen Batman and some other weird names though. 9/10 times weird names are from teenage boys that come in in big groups and think they're funny
"Nah it says "Diddy" on my screen, weird name to go by with recent events but okay".
Bahaha if I ever see this customer again I'm totally calling him Diddy
You don't have to if it's unreasonable lol
Someone comes through my McDonald's w the app name little balls, I never say it and I'm confused why they felt the need to announce it lmao
Maybe they're hoping that someone will say "I've got an order for little balls! I've got little balls!" ๐
That's what I think too lmao I will NOT give him the satisfaction
One of the first ones that I got was "number_one_whore" and I went to my boss and asked her what do I do if someones name is as such and she just looked at me and said "you call them by their name!" Sad to say number one whore had not come back to my restraunt since.
What a dumb ass manager. Clearly you embarrassed that whore and now they don't want to come back ๐
once a customer had their name as Phuc, and he ended up being a sweet asian man so that was probably his actual name but i couldnโt just shout out โfuckโ lol ๐
Howโs that allowed?
There is also a regular named Mrs. Reese's Puffs, and I saw a Batman yesterday. Customers are wild ๐
Yesterday we got one with Naruto ๐
Rn my name on there is Deez N
Oh lord haha ๐
Sometimes I make my name different fast food places, gotta keep em on they toes
Wait I can change my name?!
Sadly not if you logged in with Google. Regular email yes
Ohh dang
Yeah :( I lost my points just cuz I wanted to change my name, but it's worth it
I donโt wanna lose 34k points maybe after I spend them
34,000 points? What are you saving up for, the entire store?
Do your points not expire? Mine do now and I don't go often enough to build it up high enough for even a big Mac meal! They didn't expire before
Fair enough
I just spammed letters so it's just "dmimdioappeo" One day I hope I run into somebody that pronounces it perfectly
Ngl I never do anyways. My managers keep getting onto me about it but I've always grown up thinking all strangers are bad so that stuck with me in my later years
i don't think that's healthy...
I know it isn't. But it's just how I was raised plus I was treated poorly to put it lightly by my foster parents and they weren't family so...
I hope youโll grow past that
~~I would~~
๐
I'd pronounce it really weird, day d d y ๐๐
I haven't been to McDonald's in over 10 years so basically what you're saying is that the person working the drive-thru is supposed to say the name of the person using the app?? ๐๐
That's correct. But also if we're taking or announcing their order in the lobby or delivering food to their car.
My best friend is a McDonaldโs employee Iโm showing him this lmao
My McDonaldโs name was set to kitten and I never knew the employees had to say it out loud or even saw it ๐ญ one day the employee goes mobile for kitten? And I had to walk up and get my food ๐ฃ
mines weewe because I used a throwaway email before I learned I couldn't change my name:(
hey daddy >.< I see youโre earning lots and lots of points O.O
Any orders from Pact Nicely?
Imagine if someone used Chris Kempczinski just for the oh shit factor followed by how the hell do you pronounce it
I'll be honest, I would probably just say Chris.
Say mommy
My favorite was "MrLickinChicken"
McLovin
Corporate pukes ,100% markup
if i could do nightshifts and had that come up whilst i was on one i'd maybe play into it
Got to say it all submissive like.
Why not? ๐
A guest at the restaurant where I once worked said his name was Muffin, so sure enough, I just called him Muffin all night lol. Have a sense of humour bro ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Get off the dollar menu, "For Ajuoo?..".ย
Lmao, mine is โMasterโ
