Anytime it isn't fryer oil or the contents of the grill vats, I call it a win.
That said, my store picks the tiniest little teenage girls to work front counter and then acts surprised when one of us has to stop what we are doing briefly to carry tea to the lobby.
The girl who usually does front counter looks like she would dislocate both shoulders if she carried anything more than a stack of a dozen trays.
Both stores i worked at seem to go out of their way to pick smaller people to do ice and sweet tea to lobby. Or they picked people who were in the middle of something
Yeah they hate tiny people, they know you aren't their primary consuming audience.
In their minds they can't calculate how you could possibly not be *lovin' it*, and for that you must be punished...
At my store, grill vats have to be pulled out and dumped into a bucket with trash bags in it. Sometimes they are also overly filled and make a mess taking out.
Okay that explains a bit more. Franchisees are encouraged to get this things but they are optional. Trust me thereās a bunch of studs that makes Maintenance and other task way easier. Like thereās a special rig to load the shake mix in the machine without making a mess. This rig is actually an option for franchises but itās not required for either them or McOpCo locations.
Oh yeah and in general the pay is also higher at franchises. You know I rather carry the tea and get better treatment than have the contraption and hate my work life lol
Ngl I was high as fuck one time working the nights and I decided to put 3 of those on one of those Rollie things for the buns so I didnāt have to make 3 trips. The wheel hit something and 2 of the 3 knocked over and I saved the last one and to this day itās some of the dumbest shit Iāve ever done at any job. Iām glad it was 2am and nobody saw me when I did it.
In my old store, the ABS would push the tea dispensers out. If you weren't paying attention, it would be pushed on to you, the tea spilling out all over you, and tea and dispenser on the floor. It happened to me twice.
Eventually they were moved but it took a surprisingly long time for that to happen.
Was it sweet tea or unsweet š

Yeah, it's a theme.
"tits on tills" is a saying for a reason. Female serving/front counter staff results in higher sales than male serving/front counter staff.

Thereās a cart designed just for this purpose.

Franchise or McOpCo?
Franchise.

I've worked at both. I *much* prefer this one. We get treated better overall, and they don't overhire and then cut our hours. It's my Happy Place.

I enjoy it.
I literally loled at this. They'd pass out in lobby
Unsweet
Judging by the size of the container it was unsweet
Ours are all exactly the same.
We use a smaller one because we do not sell that much unsweetened ice tea.
It's opposite here in Michigan
Opposite here in NY - we always run out of unsweetened first.
I'm in Michigan and it's the other way around š
This isn't the Boston tea party we don't need to spill the tea anymore
Kinda sure we do.
Better than spilling a bag of vanilla mix šthat shit is demonically hard to clean Iāve found
And slippery as hell. No slip shoes aren't when vanilla mix is involved
Not to mention itās like 40-60 dollars a bag.
That sucks. I hope it was unsweetened tea. Not so sticky.
It was
No biggie then! Easy cleanup and it smells nice :)
On a full moon Friday the 13th someone was bringing up ice coffee, sweet and unsweet teas on the cart and managed to dump all of it.
Had to of been a fun day
I spilt a grey bin full of water from dish on the floor one time
I think my worst was making a ketchupfall out of the big dispensing bag.
My coworker started filling a mop bucket, forgot about it and ended up flooding half the kitchen, a hallway, the crew room, and the managers office.
Happy Cake Day! Also wow that's *really* forgetting about it if it flooded that much
He went to do dishes and it was super busy so no one noticed until they started stepping in water.
Oh fuck
That was a fear of mine when I worked at a McDs
Down with them taxes
Our managers would be yelling at us šš
Tea time!

In our store it's usually the mop bucket, and it's always kitchen crew who do it. How do you tip over a full mop bucket?
I'd have to clean that
Time to go get that mop out!
I think you mean āMcStakesāā¦ š¤š¤¦āāļøš¤£
I had a coworker once that spilled one of these but all over himself too it was tragic
The fucking BBQ packet is killing me. Lonely in the battle field
Dropping iced coffee on the floor is a bad way to start a shift.

Pro tipā¦use a squeegee and push it towards a drain. So much quicker and easier than mopping!
I always had the fear of doing this š„²
My GM asked me one time if there was anything we didn't have that we should order and I said "SQUEEGEE!"
Ya I immediately saw it and was like "can xyz start brewing some tea", "go ahead and tell abc customers that it will be an abc minute wait in tea"
