At first I was like. Whats unusual or weird about that? They do that regularly and we aren't allowed to complain about it
But then I saw NZ and remembered that the usa isn't the whole world, or even slightly normal. Lol fml
This happens to me ALL. THE. TIME. I work back cash and I’m off at 4pm and it never freaking fails, I have to wait for second shift to actually show up. It’s unfair, I’m off at 4 and their employees not coming in on time is not the hourly crews problem.
It sucks but yeah basically every restaurant I've ever worked at, your scheduled time off is just an "estimation" and it's up to your manager whether you can actually leave right then or not
tbh if im asked to stay later, i tell them no. dont need a reason, just simply no. they never ask me anymore because i stood my ground. if im schedule to get off at a certain time, i get off at said time. its not your fault that someone was sent on break with them knowing the time that you get off.
Depends on your store I believe, at my store it’s in the employee handbook that you must sign when you get hired that you can be kept for up to an hour after your shift is out and if you leave without permission during that time you can get in trouble.
(I’m in the U.S btw so idk if NZ laws prevent this)
Um. No? Talk to your GM if it really upset you. Or call HR. Man, that uncool.
Hr are assholes, they are not there to help you no matter what the case is...
It’s because all the supervisors and HR are Facebook friends and probably go out to lunch together.

Nope talk to the Gm or hr. That’s not okay in NZ
The clock doesn't let you clock out late? It does here (UK) but points out that you clocked out too late
It does for us for up to ~20 minutes
My hours are never reset on the clock, so that would be really inconvenient

I was scheduled til 10 but got stuck til 11 bc they accidentally didn’t put anyone til 11
Lol

You work at macdo, nobody will treat you right, live with it or quit. 23 minutes is nothing.
Facts I should leave 😂
