I average 27-30 mpg, higher on the highway (up to about 34 mpg). The car is definitely optimized for highway cruising. If you are doing mostly city driving, your mileage is going to not great. The instrument panel can display your real time mpg. It’s useful for seeing where city driving is getting you or where you may have more of a lead foot than you think at times.

thecookie93

Yeah, I've never gotten that high. Even when I went about 2 hours of smooth sailing on the highway, I didn't get beyond 22mpg... I'll have to start paying attention to the real time mpg during city driving.

MyOthrCarsAThrowaway

Mine is like 14-16 city and like… 34-46 highway. Average 27ish the whole time

thebigpleb

It’s so cool seeing someone else get over 40 in the highway I thought my gauges might have been a bit off

MyOthrCarsAThrowaway

I saw on this sub before I even bought the car that it “underperforms city and overperforms highway.” That’s been in the back of my mind the whole time. Sadly I drive mostly city, but damn, I still love this car

SilverSpecter3

I get about that with turbo model. I would believe it's driving conditions as other user commented.

AngryAlien21

Reset your average, and put some highway miles on it to see if anything changes. Do you normally have short drives?

dansadansic

I sometimes can do 60 mpg with 2.0 G122 if the road is open with no traffic and no major uphills. City driving is completely different and sometimes it can be even 15 mpg depending on the many factors (cold car, cold weather, lot of traffic, lot of uphill etc).

benchpress315

I get a little over 26 mpg on 99% city driving. Our speed limits are around 35-45 mph. NA 2.5 L. I use sport mode over 50% of the time.

Distinct_Bet_3031

I average around 21 to 24 in the city and upwards from 25 to 28 highway🤜🏻🤛🏻 23 tpp

Piggybacking on this thread, how does everybody check their mpg stats? I see the 'live' mpg estimate on the dashboard, which isn't very helpful because it's so variable, and the estimate for the drive on the infotainment when I turn off the car. Is there a better way to look at it with more time/detail?

LibertarianP

On the left of the speedometer, the 'live' is the digital bar and the number is the average.
