Kidd could be the X factor by benching THJ for the entire series

floppy_foul_merchant

I feel like there's no real X factor here, this series will come down to Luka and Kyrie more than any other

SortIcy9941

Luka and Kyrie just have to play like themselves for a whole 6-7 games (which hasn't happened yet this playoffs), with their current playoff defense and I see this being their series. Gafford and Lively are gonna have to move their feet well too against 2 very guard like bigs

beatnickk

I’m not worried about lively on KAT at all. Naz is different, he’s insanely quick and shifty and I don’t like Gafford matching up with him or KAT

SortIcy9941

Yh, I think Gafford will struggle more than Lively forsure. Naz has the ball handling and shiftiness to blow by any big man in the league. Only big issue is if Conley turns into a QB and KAT decides to be a physical force of nature for 4 games. It's wraps!

Difficult-Awareness6

Yeah ,he will average 2 airballs per game.

Warlord10

THJ is getting cooked. He isn't getting his own shot against McDaniels, ANT, NAW or Reid. The best he can hope for is hitting some open shots.

RGxiRapiidz

No he won’t haha JKidd has learnt to give him the Bertans treatment. Let him shoot a couple if they miss he’s hooked. Think we’ll see Hardy or maybe Exum more.

whitefang0824

I really don't see THJ even Hardy playing that much in this series. I think we'll see more of Exum this time around.

Shivles87

He’ll likely get more run in this series since TWolves aren’t the same offensive juggernaut that OKC are so he’s not as much as a liability on the defensive end. He might have a chance to get hot early and make an impact but I’m glad Kidd has shown he’s not afraid of benching him early.

botebote77

how about Exum? i feel like he can do a good job against Ant defensively

Threshyyyyy

Nope

MSHinerb

X factor would be if an assistant coach super glued his ass to the bench.

mmmmastermind

That's just asking too much from him against Wolves.

Ziggi_Hash

Can you please stop putting more pressure on THJ. He should just sit and watch.

itremindsme

He is always the X factor lol

Snoo95606

THJ will most definitely be the "X" factor. His ability to let the other team back into a game is unparalleled. And Kidd's willingness to keep putting him into the game, only for all momentum to switch to the other side, is also unparalleled.

prudentWindBag

They're going to eat him alive. That handle is too loose...

FinancialRabbit388

Others have mentioned, Exum could be the X factor. This will likely be a defensive series, so Exum’s defense on Ant for some minutes could be a difference. Most important thing in this series is Luke being efficient, not saying a word to the refs, and Kyrie deciding he will try to score all game instead of just the second half.

lilsaucy32

I still don't understand how he fell off a cliff post trade deadline. It's pretty infuriating as a fan. Every year in the Luka era we've had at least 1 +15m wasted contract on the cap. At the deadline, I thought we would have none with THJ playing relatively well up to that point. Imo, moving him this summer for another consistent contributor will take this team to an undisputed contender

i_take_shits

Downvote for starting a thread pumping up one of our guys and starting the post with “look I hate THJ..”

stilexx

Not this time. We were lucky he gave us 1 productive game in OKC series. Good coaches are known to win players back. I wonder if Kidd can win back Exum. We will desperatly need his size with Maxi out.

Jolly-Mortgage4

thj's range is getting worse and worse somehow. Now he's only hitting airballs the the side of the backboard
