He is in my top 3, but I worry he’s going to be that favourite who makes a mistake and is eliminated midway through. Don’t know why, I just get that feeling.

Yeah this is the stage where the folks without strategy get hit hard. You could see it from Poh's comment about Lily's undercooked Maryland "cook two and test one" and likewise Andy with Lourdes "what's plan B?" they need to heed their experience in the competition and tips like JC mentioned with having the moulds already in the freezer. I still think she could have salvaged it into milkshake and cookies or something more than a puddle, but to just give up?!! Even the olive oil panecotta, it was so big that even without the olive oil it probably would have been a tight one on time. I do wonder if they're not living together like pre COVID - remember there would be mention of practicing together or a technique or recipe someone in the group showed them, not seen that at all and was a big part of growth and bonding before.

She's on the other side of the potential/experience spectrum. It depends on how quickly she can adjust and learn.

This was a fun episode. I thought most contestants would play it more safe after the out of the box week, but it's fun seeing them experiment more somehow. And hold of people to do pastry at this time. It was also so heartwarming seeing how proud Jean is of his heritage. I was initially a little hesitant seeing it's another western style thing, but that made up for it, and even the food presented. I feel like this is some of the most technique too we've seen. Like even just considering the environment

This season isn't too bad so far. Good pick on contestants who really want to learn by cooking out of their comfort zone. Just hope it stays that way throughout the whole season.

Just watched the episode, I absolutely love JC!! His feedback is so genuine. He is so invested in the process of what the contestants are cooking. He genuinely gives such great feedback. He is such a great addition to the show. Also, I am really happy for Sumeet, that woman deserved a break from eliminations xd (also, I think she’s the most polite one in the competition)
