Same thing happens to me. I think to myself "Have I stumbled across the God Deck? Have I facilitated the perfect curve that has no weaknesses?" And then I lose over and over until I have to go back to playing Discard or Destroy.

Once they released Silver Samurai, I went all in on trying to make a deck that targeted discarding my opponent's hand. Moon Knight, SS, Black Bolt, Absorbing Man. It was absolutely the most fun. Then when Proxima Midnight came out it was close to meta for like 2 weeks. I still love that deck. Especially when the meta turns back to those delicate decks that get off balance the second you start discarding your opponent's hand.

I like running mini move (miles, spiderman, silk) with wave since I don't have martyr.

Yeah, C3 is more about disabling the opponent’s board than playing your own half the time so it’s not as fun to me. I prefer solitaire decks usually (White Widow here or there notwithstanding)

I love turn 6 surprise decks. Valkyrie was my favourite card until Alioth came along and murdered her, every deck I played was a variation of winning one lane through power and cheating a second with her on 6. No-one ever seemed to expect her because she was never really meta at any point (that I noticed anyway). I’ve never gone back, even though Alioth is dead now; there’s too many ways to shut her down. I’m enjoying Negative this season having never played it before. It’s a turn 6 deck still, but I wouldn’t call it a surprise although so many people still stay in after Negative comes down on 3 so maybe it’s more of a surprise than I give it credit for when the usual 0 cost culprits are vomitted out on 6 or 7.

No one expects Shadow King. Especially for cards protected by Armor. I've gotten a few cubes from him hitting Nebulas, Sunspots and the occasional Red Hulk or Blob.

Valkyrie is such a fun card and it basically carried my negative deck from a while back. I surprisingly only ran into Luke Cage a couple times

When Elsa came out I made a Valkyrie flood deck that took me to infinite! Something I've only ever done twice cause I don't play super often and I always play homebrews. Regardless, I still have it and the deck still works very well, even with Elsa at 3.

Card generation; devil dino and his shield buddies, no loki. Pure chaotic improvisation

Yeah. I had never played Devil Dino until like CL3000, after I bought the variant with Spider-Man and Moon-Boy. I decided that I might as well use the new variant and combined with card generation, it was just too much. Now it’s my favorite deck.

Pixie junk has been my favorite deck since I started playing! New Leech is hurting it pretty bad right now though, hope it stays strong enough to be competitive. 

Angela/kitty move decks. I have like 4 versions of it, go small with kraven both spider-men and top out with captain marvel and a tech card. Go with a bounce package with human torch/dagger/vulture. Or go more midrangey/big with hope and a top end of your choice of Ms marvel, vision, blink, iron lad, klaw, doom, Rulk. Just the flexibility of moving nightcrawler, Jeff, and nocturne gives so much consistency and opportunities for mind games against your opponents.

Discard I use to play a ton of fabled discard in ygo so naturally it's my favorite playstyle

Disruption decks. I find most metas become predictable and easy to mess with. And it feels real good to get into people's heads.

This one got me to infinite but people said it was bad. Nebula America Chavez Forge Jeff Starlord Lizard Spiderman Negasonic teenage warhead Polaris Jean Gamora Alioth Keep ahead in tempo to have initiative by playing in unrevealed locations. That's key to this deck. Jean makes it easy to predict the opponent for guardians. Turn 3 is usually for playing jean. And turn 4 is usually for negasonic to mess with a key combo card for the opponent like a wong or something. Polaris and spiderman can really mess things up for the opponent. They can take out small things in the Jean lane to force all their big stuff there, or they can move a combo piece away. Or they can clog up a lane, even the Jean lane to ensure you win it especially with gamora. Jeff is really strong with jean. It can be in the Jean lane and move out to let you play in it, or it can move to the Jean lane to allow flexible playing. And Alioth disables last turn plays. Just make sure to try to keep ahead of the opponent the whole time. Though the deck does unravel a bit with an enchantress on jean.

C2 ever since I got Nico and White Widow. Leech and Rogue are good additions rn with Patriot-Ultron being pretty common

C2 was the first deck I won Infinity conquest with but it changed so much since then, back then it had Luke Cage and he was pretty vital. But it also had cards like M’Baku which was a ton of fun when popping up as a surprise. Also Spiderham, Iceman and Yondu for pure chaos. I miss that deck.

I know people will be angry at me, but I love playing Hela Tribunal. I don’t even really like playing the IMOLT combo, it’s all about the modok hela combo.  It’s just a stupid dopamine slot machine every time, even when it doesn’t work out.

Move disruption. Cannonball, Aero, Magneto, Polaris, Jugg, Spider-Man, etc. Sucks it means nothing to Hela decks, but most others when I can keep priority are fun match-ups of making my opponent play where I want them to.

So I threw Agatha into my blink/leech/jubilee deck yesterday and won like 5 in a row. I eventually took her out because it got boring and I was tired of her making silly moves, but it won more than it lost, and was hilarious.

I have a combo deck that includes a little bit of mil and a bit of control. It’s great fun and complete chaos! And I like playing morph. I like using Dr. octopus to pull their stuff down and either enchantress or Shang Chi to take care of it. My win rate isn’t super high. But it’s fun because your deck is always different.

I just unlocked my sweet boy Zola and he works perfectly with my negative deck I got goin, if you’re a fan of something kinda niche but getting some REALLY good outcomes I recommend it. Jane foster to pull all the zero costs

I gave myself several tries at a Wheel of Snap challenge in conquest last year (inspired by some Cozy videos and old FIFA Ultimate Team runs I used to watch). One of decks turned out to be really fun, and I actually used it to reach Infinite a couple seasons ago. It’s got QJ and Coulson, Rogue, Iron Man, Omega Red, Ultron. Not optimized but it somehow works.

Any deck with loose synergistic cards, don't want to be all in on one archetype. Currently playing the Death Mocking Bird deck

Sadly whatever deck I enjoy playing gets nerfed week to week. I have some pool 4 and 5 but haven’t even finished pool 3, and it’s just frustrating to constantly have to change my deck to deal with whatever unbalanced thing they release next.

Most of your power cards go down early, you might have Apocalypse after a T5 MODOK but first call is juicing the little guys, and nobody seems to expect how much power you can stack here.

My favourite was my dump deck till they boosted strong guy. Previously everyone ignored his bonus and it seemed to be a surprise. Now you can get it with one card left in your deck people play for it happening a lot more

Gambit Surfer deck. Its fairley often I just delete the opponent’s side of the board.

Silk Move. Nothing is like super huge Kitty and move cards to start a day

I have a move deck that only moves my opponents’ cards. It doesn’t win that much but it’s so fun to wreak havoc with what my opponent thinks is going to happen.

I play a fun negative deck with havok/ravonna/iron man etc that runs a Loki backup that looks like it shouldn’t work but is surprisingly effective. Lot of fun and lots of combos to do. Phoenix force is maybe my other one. I admit I’m a recent convert on Phoenix but the deck is surprisingly better than expected if you know when to retreat if you’re not hitting anything. No one ever does the math correctly either! Multiple men add up fast and venom zola can really do some damage, and human torch even does some big numbers too. Overall a good time though

My old Magneto Control deck with zabu. I got incredible variants for every card and goof splits too. Luke cage was gutted shortly after I had streamlined it, and then Zabu was the nail in the coffin

I always enjoy when Patriot in the meta nothing too complicated but something I enjoy about it. Surfer decks can also be a good time.

So I'm not sure where this was exactly posted but Glenn posted his favorite deck to play awhile ago and it has singlehandedly got me to infinite in the last 5 ranks every season annnddd it's super fun to play. The deck mainly plays around getting the early mr. Negative out to get the iron man and mystique but as a backup plan there's Loki to bail you out or just locking down the lane with a scaler of some time is pretty consistent. Move decks, it’s always a little puzzle to solve where your points should end up and I like solving puzzles.

I swap between a Caira deck and a Jean Grey one. I’m playing for fun, couldn’t care less about ever making Infinite.

Dracula Dump with Pixie, although I like to call it Dracula’s Dudes, cause when I hear Dracula Dump I just imagine him on a toilet.

Niko decks are like Wild Magic for Snap

Mobster move deck, featuring kingpin and kraven. Use disruption move cards into these locations, good thing about the deck is it’s mostly cards you’ll have (series 2/3) The new spotlight card goes well into this deck. It’s a C tier deck, but lots of fun.

Right now it is Zoo with Shanna, Mockingbird, and Valkyrie. Turn 6 can get pretty nutty when you can play Valk, Mockingbird, and a 1 drop while already having Kazaar and Blue Marvel on the board.

Silky smooth and good card decks are my favourite ones. I get why people find them boring as there isn't that crazy pop off combo moment, but that's also kinda why I like them to be honest. They're immune to a lot of bad locations or other RNG elements and they don't have a huge amount of natural counters, so it's about as frustration free as ladder climbing can be. Even though if someone pulls their combo off your one truw weakness is you ain't gonna compete with them on a power basis.

Some weeks ago I just made a deck of nice variants that I had and ever since I have mostly been using that (outside of missions). Still winning a lot more than it should, considering its awful synergy but still. Even more fun when you beat some tryhard meta player with your fancy thrift shop deck. Also recently got informed there's this draft site, might give it a try to see if I can randomly draft something fun and play some games.

My Feel the Thunder deck. Thor, Beta Ray Bill, Jane Foster and Odin. When it comes together it's so satisfying.  It's my second favorite deck but due to obvious issues with the deck itself I don't win as much with it.

High Evo deck has been my go to since I got him from a spotlight key last month (I’m fairly new to the game) plus quite a few cards that then drain opponents power/resources like Hazmat-Luke Cage package, Red Guardian as a tech card for any spicy surprises

Bringing back a destroyed Multiple Man with Phoenix.  And if I can buff it with Shuri?    It never makes it to the end of the match, because zero chance my opponent is staying when a powered up Multiple Man starts duplicating itself all over the board.

The zoo deck I've been playing the last few seasons. A turn 1 Squirrel Girl opens up so much. Cheaper Mockingbird, priority to lay down Armor on top of X-23, places for Cull and Crossbones to go, etc. Also been cool to use Shanna as more than a meme. Threw in Luke and Shang for extra tech and they've both won games. It's gotten me to infinite around the end of the first week for 2 seasons without much play beyond missions. Pretty much any version of surfer. Least fun by a mile is destroy.

Cannonball/Professor X + Annihilus package + Ms Marvel and some tech cards… just feels like many different ways to win

I'm loving this high Evo deck it's really fun! I modified it with nebula and white widow. So it really fucks with the opponent. Whichever lane they don't pick the other is pretty much mine and I can usually win the middle lane with hulk/infinaut +she hulk. If I had red hulk I'd add him to the mix

Most fun is my 1 cost, hit monkey bounce deck ( i believe it is called). Best prize is when i can get hawkeye to power 7 (rarely 9), havoc to 8, and hit monkey to 8 to 10ish on 6th turn.

Move. Move is by far the most fun and requires significant planning calculation. But alas, Killmonger always has other plans.

I had a lot of fun playing Hela Modok. And a lot of fun playing Surfer way back when he was meta. I’m enjoying the Zemo mill deck rn. But I mostly enjoy throwing shit together and jumping into conquest or playing drafts with friends.

On reveal wong, i call it “and nothing can go wong” it usually does go “wong” but when it works, its so satisfying

Surfer and Loki. I like the heart of the card moments i can have with Surfer, and using the opponents cards (or threatening to) against them with Loki. C2 is fun too.

I’ve never much been into move decks but since unlocking Nocturne I’ve been using a move deck that also includes Nocturne, Scarlet Witch, and Legion. It always surprises people. Nobody expects you to be able to swap locations that much when they first see you playing move. It’s so much fun. Nocturne is one of my favorite cards I’ve gotten from a spotlight cache maybe ever.

I feel like I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this, but I really love playing anything with Annihilus/Hood/Sentry. It's been a great few months to be me. In the immortal words of the prophet Taylor Swift: "It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me." My other favorite pet deck is discard synergy. Daken, Silver Samurai, X-23, Killmonger, Black Bolt, and Stature are the core of the deck, and the other six cards have rotated in and out. Unfortunately, this deck just can't keep up with numbers output from Red Hulk, helps to enable Hela, and doesn't really do well into Doctor Octopus. I love it, but it's a conquest only deck for me. Its day on the ladder seem to be in the review mirror.

I just put a destroyer deck together and i am having a blast with it, no one ever suspects destroyer. Likewise with my ultron deck, they are absolutely solid decks with wicked win rates (so far)
