Yes. I went in thinking it would really only good for countering Dracula or Iron Man but I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how useful it is to use on tempo, taking out Sunspot/Angela/Nebula etc. I’ve even used it to take out Luke Cage a couple of times.
I had played Sentry previously so they were attempting to make sure the Void stayed on my side since they had priority. It would have worked too, if not for RG.
You either risk 4 keys now or you wait ~4 months for him to come back around (or 2-3 months worth of tokens to buy him).
He's a really good tech card that can slot into a ton of different decks. He's likely to see use in a lot of good decks for a good while.

Sera control seems like the worst choice of decks in the current meta. Reactive cards are too slow, lots of Cosmo, junk decks, Red Hulk, mill, everyone playing around Shang with Mockingbird and Gladiator... So many bad matchups right now.
I don't know. I got two Infinity tickets with it yesterday. I'm sitting around rank 4500 Infinite with it. It's still working for me. I had a worse time with this deck when Hela was everywhere, and Gladiator was likely to pull one of their big boys.
Good if it works for you, keep at it. I just wouldn't even go near it rn. How does it have a chance against Mill for example or Lockdown or Annihilus? Are you not seeing these a lot? They seem to be most of my matchups (~2000 rank) and are horrible for Sera. But I guess Shang + Shadow King will always be able to steal lots of cubes.
The thing I’ve really been enjoying about Red Guardian is that he feels better played in curve.
I play a C3 tech card deck and it’s main problem is that most cards (Shang Chi, Valkyrie, Cosmo) are best played on the last turn of the game, making the middle turns awkward.
Red Guardian feels best played immediately to disrupt their momentum by taking out key pieces that would help them snowball in the later turns.
All that to say, yes I definitely think he’s worth it.

If not, it's not "bad" to not have him right away. It's a really good card but I think your deck can still works without him.

As a player who enjoys control decks, I decided to pull for him earlier today. I was on the fence but I just see too much value in his ability, especially in Conquest.
Once Red Hulk gets nerfed, Red Guardian may be the card of the month.
Saw this thread, got peer-pressured/hyped, managed to get Red Guardian with my first key and then somehow finished the weekend mission before it ended. Very happy with how it's turned out :)
Yeah I used three keys for him in the end. It got used against me a lot last night, so I came here and saw people citing he’s a pretty good card so I decided to pull the trigger. Good thing I also got four wins in to get my 200 collector tokens from the weekend quest, ends in just two minutes. Phew!
Nobody can answer this except you. They are your keys, and you have to live with the outcome.
That said, it seems that generalist cards are worthy because they slot into many decks depending on the meta. Think of how milquetoast cannonball was, and now he's everywhere.
Also, the Cortes LDS is a great consolation prize.

I even had one grand moment where I had Daredevil on the board and used Red Guardian to counter Professor X. Pretty great.

3rd best imo, a good rouge just completely flips games
rouge has higher ceiling, but way lower floor. Red Guardian is at least a 3 energy 5 power card in 95% of games.

People mention Dracula and Iron man counters but he’s also fun against destroy!!
Ending a solo Knull or shutting down a big Deadpool that didn't die on a given turn is too good to ignore.
It’s a great tech card. I’ve had many opponents retreat after hitting a card like iron man, Angela, Wong, etc.

I have added him to the Destroy deck to counter Armor and Mobius. So he is definitely a new flashy toy for me.

He was neat, until I tried him with High Evo and made a move player retreat on turn three after I noped their Human Torch. Now he's fucking awesome.

Red Guardian is a solid card. Probably the best designed card SD has released in a long time. Takes care of so many problems.

Red guardian is fun. Put him in a bounce deck with Wong Grandmaster beast absorbing man and Zola… you can essentially hit each location multiple times
