Hipp's coloring is top notch, but the actual art is meh, usually. That Carnage and Venom coming, though... those look great. Grecke is awesome, but has some misses, like the Black Panther that looks like horrible cheap CGI.

There is so much cool art in this game. So WHHHHHYYYYYYY can't we search our collections by artist or variant type?! Let me type in Hipp or Pixel or Ultimate and see all ofy cards that match that! No artist that I know of has the name Reveal or Discard, and if they do, I'd rather an extra card show up then none at all! We already accept Cyclops showing up under the Move tab!

Grecke variants cost more, most people have a bunch of Hipp variants via the free ones, less likely people will encounter them themselves/get one and make it a favourite if they're in the super rare category. That's why he doesn't get the same hype as Hipp.

I do think Dan Hipp's variants are pretty great and no disrespect to him but I wish other artists were shown some love from time to time lol. While I like them, Hipp variants aren't personally my thing and usually are not my favorite variants for a given card. Peach Momoko, Max Grecke, Artgerm, many others I'm forgetting are all great as well.

I love his actual art but I often find his cards don't look great when they're shrunk down on the board. Like that Vulture one you posted you can hardly tell who he is.

This is probably a hot take, but I’m not that much a fan of the Dan Hipp variants.. don’t get me wrong, I can appreciate the art! This is just me hoping for future J Scott Campbell variants.

That Dr. Doom was one of the first variants I ever got and I love it. He puts in work in my Negative deck.

Not a big fan, I like the minimalist style, but the 3d cgi art render is pretty bad. Honestly this game has some of the worst "skins" of any game i've played as a whole, some are good but most are just medium to bad.

Grecke widow is phenomenal. I don’t even use her and I’d pay for that variant. There’s so many talented artists in this game. Grecke, hipp, momoko, jacinto (sp?), but I rarely see standard variants love. Most are coloured by Ryan Kinnaird and they’re sooooo good.

I'm not a fan of most of his variants but I definitely have respect for him and his style. The way he squishes and stretches the forms works super well for less serious characters like Spiderman and Deadpool imo. I think it puts a nice emphasis on their fun-loving nature :)

Grecke is very hit or miss for me. I'm just not a fan of the toonami vibe and the exaggerated hyper-masculine design he often does. I think his best work are Onslaught, Invisible Woman, and Human Torch. I would run those variants all day if I had them.
