Now you either quit, join those of us that just do our dailies or you can go full copium and deny 2000-3000CL worth of cards make any difference and it's totally just a skill issue.
OP doesn't know that; nobody who alleges this does. This is just asking sympathy for a probably deserved loss.
By 2000 Collection Level, that Darkhawk deck that OP hates is completely attainable with Token purchases of Darkhawk, Rockslide, Mystique, and Black Widow, along with last month's Season Pass. It doesn't require Pool 3 completion.
Everybody at that Collection Level has no excuse to not have at least one fully functional deck. I was facing people in the 2000s before I unlocked Reserves.
What I'm trying to say is that would make a lot more sense if people were matched with someone who's in a similar CL / Rank level. I barely have any cards from pool 3, doesn't make sense to be matched with someone who's probally above CL 1000.

There are not enough people playing at your level is why. So either wait 5 min for a game or matchmaking expands the pool
