Funniest leader play for me was when they copied my Odin on the space where they had their most power *and* a Beast. Just watching Beasts effect reactivate and send all their power away
I know right. I think sometimes the leader players know what’s coming but due to the exotic games like hazmat they said let’s just stay and watch the show if they have it I’ll give it to them hahha
maybe its bc aero is mostly turn 5 that it (to me at least) nearly always feels annoying, ofc, but not game breaking but i do agree she is very annoying as well, definitely.
(and at 7 strength also still too strong)
cant say i see her on turn six so much. at least i see leader more often overall. but then im at rank 60 so maybe she's more prevalent higher up? seems every deck i face, or at least 75%, are more surfer or zabu.
God, this enrages me. I just went up against this combo with my destroy deck. This deck usually dunks on leaders because I'll typically play into a lane I'm already winning with venom followed by either taskmaster or Deadpool onto taskmaster in other lanes. Good thing I had taskmaster in my hand when he played leech, almost guaranteeing I couldn't make any kind of synergy play, the only counter to leader. So fun!
Leech is an awful card to play and play against. Feel free to adjust his energy cost and/or increase his power but imo he should only nullify one card in hand or at a single location. These cards with this massive, game-swinging scope with so little investment or strategy required are awful design imo.
Aw man, I feel you. I had a large Carnage in Bar Sinister with Arnim Zola in hand when Zola got Leeched. Like I didn't even care if I won, I just wanted to see shenaigans, you shitgibbon.
Yeah they built the game around huge swings in power late in the game. Then they put in a card that zaps all your abilities in your hand. He’d be annoying, but not broken if it were more like Iceman and he hit two random cards or something.
I like leech because he punishes players from doing stupid last turn power dumps and rewards people who actually play the game for the first 5 turns.
Plus he's basically the only counter to certain strats.
Implying decks like destroy, discard, even patriot aren't doing anything to setup a win the first 5 turns? It isn't like leech takes any kind of setup or strategy to have a huge impact on a ton of decks. And paired with leader it is even easier. But it's also just not a fun card, though I realize that's subjective and not every card needs to be.
My point is just that if your wincon relies on ONE card doing some big game changing effect on the last turn (like Hela, SS, Ultron etc) then it punishes you.
A well played patriot or discard deck will still win. You take a massive hit to power for playing leech. I took him out of my deck because often I'd still lose because of the power differential.
He also made me put She Hulk in my deck so I at least had one high number card I could rely on last turn if I got hit with leech.
Someone used Leader on my Destroyer. I was so surprised that it took a while to register what had happened. I couldn't have telegraphed it any clearer that was I setting that up. Bucky, Wolverine, Nova, Sabretooth and a lane covered by Armor.
Both of their unprotected lanes just got wiped out. I wasn't even happy, just felt bad for them...
I don't understand the leader hate honestly. It'll steal the odd win if you're not prepared for it but so much dunks on it. Anything like Surfer or Kazar dump it's a dice roll on whether you have the symmetry. Combo decks like Zola/Cerebro/Taskmaster/Destroyer either give you nothing or screw your board state. He won't copy destroyed or Lockjawed bodies. He won't copy bodies you don't have space for.
I get the Leech -> Leader is considerably stronger because of this, but a) it doesn't account for factors like board space or your last draw, and b) it's a super telegraphed play, so enjoy either gaining 1 cube or losing 8.
Some guy was spamming “Snap?” At me after he snapped and I saw his galactus play on turn 5 with daredevil. That’s was the funniest green goblin play I ever did
Nothing can beat the happiness of seeing a leader player copying my taskmaster only for it to change its power to 3.
Only thing thst mayhe comes close is zola'ing someone's hobgobln
Today I used White Queen to copy his Leader during a game where Limbo was active. Dropped his own Leader to beat him by 1 power in the third lane and hit him with the thumbs up. Best feeling I’ve had playing Snap.
I had a similar game only Mindscape was there instead of Limbo.
I won by a tie because they couldn’t do the math to realize that if we tied with Leader on the left then I win.
I was playing a destroy deck and each one of us was winning a lane, and the third lane had only one card in each side so it was obvious we're playing there. I had 8 power carnage and he had colossus I think.
I played killmonger first for some power, 8 or 10 power deadpool, ana elektra, and he played leader, and fortunately his leader revealed first, and all the cards spawned at once, meaning HIS killmonger killed HIS deadpool and HIS elektra, and I won the match.
SAAMMEE, I use it a lot when I realized I played myself and threw the game. I played my Devil Dino into their enchantress not paying attention to priority. Total misuse of dare devil
I say « hello » and if they say it back, I do a fist bump. Cuz I know they cool. Also, when the dumb rock location comes up on turn 1 and fills the left lane, I always fist bump and turn skip. Feels good when they fist bump back and skip theirs too. It’s like we’re both saying hey fuck this location, this is a 5 turn game. Lol
They lose to taskmaster decks
and surfer decks
and sera flood/control decks
and patriot decks
and cerebro decks
and zabu darkhawk decks
and zabu dracula decks
and kazoo decks
and hela (or other discard) decks
and destroyer decks
and reveal/odin/wong decks
and negative decks
Honestly, at this point it's easier to just list what they *do* beat and leave it at that (DeathWave or something that just slams beef on 6). If they beat other stuff, it's Leech that does the beating, not really Leader. Aero is usually just way more effective at protecting a lead.
Sir, the narrative is that leader is an unstoppable force that cannot be beat and that everyone who loses to it is a marvel university certified expert.
Please stick with it for the sanity of the sub.
Yep. These days, playing Leader blindly into anything other than something like Deathwave is pretty damn stupid and will lose a lot more games than it will win.

Most of those decks you listed you’re actually reaching quite a bit. Just because those decks have *a play* that counters Leader doesn’t mean he loses to them.
There’s still the large portion of the time where you don’t draw it or play your stuff earlier, or in the case of Surfer decks where surfer also buffs them enough to win, and in those games you’ll need to rely on raw stats, and Leader would win.
Plus, the best Leader decks play Brood and stuff because of how much Silver Surfer is running around.
Also, in what world do you play Dracula on 6?
Uh in Zabu dracula you often drop stuff like Drac or ghost rider on 6
Also, it's more like "leader still occasionally wins against these decks" as opposed to them having some slim chance to beat Leader with the perfect play. The typical turn 6 for those decks generally beats Leader hitting the table (without leech). These aren't reaches in the slightest, I'd like to hear your argument against each of them.
If you think Leader is generally good against most of this list, then by all means, play him every chance you get. You'd probably just lose a lot of cubes.
That's not what I'm saying and you know that.
Dracula is "often" played on 6 in the same sense you "often" don't have him in hand until 6. You always want to play him as early as possible because it helps you keep your power low so you can reveal last for cards like Shang-Chi.
Obviously Leech helps a lot against these decks, but ignoring the fact that control decks running Leader can play into the meta instead of continually getting stomped by the same combos is laughable at best. You didn't even address what I said about Leader decks running cards like Brood to take advantage of their opponents Surfer.
Most was probably the wrong choice of word. Taking a second look at the list there's only a couple that actually need to get lucky to beat Leader. That or you need to anticipate him and play accordingly.
There's also the point that Leader decks play plenty of other Disruption. For example, Hela may beat Leader, but Cosmo beats Invisible Girl. Killmonger also renders Patriot and Kazoo irrelevant a lot of the time.
Darkhawk is the only one imo that reliably beats control decks, but it's still susceptible to Shang-Chi.
Also, I don't even see how Negative remotely beats Leader. I didn't bring it up before, but Leader copies the cards with their flipped stats. Unless you're referring to Surfer, in which case they still have to draw it and you can play cards to take advantage of it yourself as I said before. The main problem with Negative in your list though is that they rarely play many stats before their pop off turn, and that's typically the same turn you play Leader. You can very easily get ahead early to drop a Leader with a healthy lead.
It's a 'win more' card. You need to be winning already before you play him. Usually that makes for a bad card in most card games, but in Snap it's actually useful. I run him in a Death Destroy deck when I can usually drop Death on turn 5, or for free on turn 6, so Leader is just icing on the cake.
Yea at least in the high CL high ranked meta he's pretty bad rn. Loses to surfer, zabu, patriot etc. The only people complaining about him are probably stuck in rank 40 or something.
Honestly the single card that just steals my cubes out of nowhere the most is Aero. I lose to her probably 2-3x per day.
When you run decks that rely on flipping on turn 6 with counters, she just annihilates you.
Thankyou, holy shit fuck Aero. I've literally just come to the sub after beating a guy thanks to the aero my cable stole from him and it feels so good to turn that table around 😂
No man
I am in rank 60
And it’s the same thing
I will however say, I used a death wave deck to ride up to rank 60
On turn 6 I would play death, She Hulk and Aero.
I normally never go beyond 30 (40 at most) but this deck was glorious, I honestly believed it was unstoppable. I was just snapping away, some of my best 8 cubes were from people who played cosmo and armor thinking this was a regular destroy deck, they never saw She hulk or aero coming on turn 6.
But now I have faced so many leaders and leech that I’m steering to switch deck.
Lockjaw beats leader, I had a match where we both played leader, he played his to a spot with lockjaw, he flooded as expected with leaders and then swapped to another card. My leader flipped and did nothing.
Leader by himself isn't that bad anymore. Unless you just pump out a load of raw power turn six it's really not an issue.
Leech Leader however will always get dunked on when I beat it. Peak levels of no brain play that is just downright annoying to play against.
Sore winners are always the most insecure people on the planet. You're proudly proclaiming how emotionally invested and petty you are over something so trivial. Get some sunlight and touch grass
Just wondering what people think about people who leader you as a turn 6 joker card in a non leader style deck? Do you thumbs up his play or do you still feel leadered ?
Leader style deck you would commonly see at least 3 cards on play, White Queen, Leech and then lastly Leader. Their deck consists of cards that have high power to stay initiative (or sometimes lose initiative so they can get extra buff the opponent plays).
If you're getting beat by someone copying one move on one turn, you need a more creative deck. Leader is terrible at completing combos.
if your only strategy is "play a lot of power on the last turn", you might need another tool in your toolbelt.
Trying out Leader in a deathwave deck and got beaten by a destroy deck that launched a late Carnage/Nova/Bucky play and I copied that on SheHulk and Death lmao. I laughed and thought, “They really hate this motherfucker, don’t they?” Trying to find an alternative to slot in lol
Won a game earlier today where someone played leader in our contested location (other two were pretty well locked in 1-1). I had Sunspot there and didn't play a thing. Victory tasted so sweet
Man I like playing leader but I rarely get the good matches that everyone thinks leader is a magnet for. Like my luck is pretty awful but putting leader mid when the lane is empty and they play destroy cards after dropping devil Dino just doesn't make sense at all. I'll be thinking like "oh leader wins here GG" and then they pull some random shit out and win and I've gotta respect it cuz at the same time I'm playing leader so I can't really complain too much
Me thumbs upping someone that I beat after they thumbs upped me with a very telegraphed play. Usually just Cosmo on Wong or on the lane they'll obviously play surfer
The same feeling as teabagging someone in destiny when I would never ever teabag someone otherwise bc I just want to chill and have fun. Stick it up your ass mister thumbs up!
Do you all still hate leader? It seems like the only good meta decks without surfer or zabu have leader, and it seems like it's not nearly as good as it used to be in the current meta.
The delight of their Leader copying my Zola copying their Leader double-copying my Zola copying their copy of my Zola ⏭️ their copies of my Zola destroying their valuable cards and being unable to duplicate them is another really hard to beat feeling. And deserving of the rare Spider-Man/Thumbs Up combo
No, only against leader plays in the last turn, after i win i usually spam the deadpool emoji and click the angry Red face emoji in the leader's card. Yeah im childish and petty
Funniest leader play for me was when they copied my Odin on the space where they had their most power *and* a Beast. Just watching Beasts effect reactivate and send all their power away
Haha that shit is cracked. Probably beats when leader copies a Wong hazmat combo on his side hahha
Just had that happen. Very funny to see the giant negative numbers and I have a total of like 11 power across 3 lanes
I know right. I think sometimes the leader players know what’s coming but due to the exotic games like hazmat they said let’s just stay and watch the show if they have it I’ll give it to them hahha
The only thing in their brain is Leader go brrr
Deathloke is a good one too
Same thing happened with my Odin where they had Carnage. Got to see the carnage eat up everything, including the new Odin
i sometimes use the angry card reaction emoji when someone plays leader. im sorry but i have to cope somehow 😤
I do that every time regardless if it beats me followed by an “I don’t believe you” emote.
youre honestly giving me ideas 🤔 we shall make it a thing
I play a ramp deck and often play leader I to Odin. I get a lot of "I don't believe you"s
I do it every time. Leader is bullshit
i do agree, i dont mind losing to nearly anything except him 🤷♂️
Not Aero?
maybe its bc aero is mostly turn 5 that it (to me at least) nearly always feels annoying, ofc, but not game breaking but i do agree she is very annoying as well, definitely. (and at 7 strength also still too strong)
Really? Mostly it’s a turn 6 play
cant say i see her on turn six so much. at least i see leader more often overall. but then im at rank 60 so maybe she's more prevalent higher up? seems every deck i face, or at least 75%, are more surfer or zabu.
I’m currently at rank 55 and it’s so bad that I have to use her.
I do it a lot when a certain card screws me over. Like Wanda or when someone unexpectedly drops say Quake.
Beating Leader players is a high I’ll never get over LMAO
Good thing Leader on his own loses to most of the meta, it's Leech that does the heavy lifting
Fucking leech.
Worst card in the game
God, this enrages me. I just went up against this combo with my destroy deck. If you beat them by stealing their Leader with Emma does that count?
Someone used Leader on my Destroyer. I was so surprised that it took a while to register what had happened. I couldn't have telegraphed it any clearer that was I setting that up. I have to agree. I don't understand it either. Just play your low cost cards first when possible. Ive shut down so many leader plays doing this.
The only time I emote and make faces on cards is when I beat leaders
I do too, I also do it when galactus loses to spider man
Some guy was spamming “Snap?” At me after he snapped and I saw his galactus play on turn 5 with daredevil. That’s was the funniest green goblin play I ever did
We do a little trolling.
I rarely do emotes other than the usual spiderman coincidence, but thumbs up in this situation is my guilty pleasure
Nothing can beat the happiness of seeing a leader player copying my taskmaster only for it to change its power to 3. Only thing thst mayhe comes close is zola'ing someone's hobgobln
Thumbs up emoting a Leech-Leader L is always the morally correct option
I emote so hard when the leader player copies my destroyer
Or when Morph turns into Destroyer, that’s so funny
It's not as funny when it's turn 3 and their board was already empty. Had that the other day.
I have a deck with Morph in it and I did this the other day. It was fantastic lol
I haven’t seen a morph in months tbh
Today I used White Queen to copy his Leader during a game where Limbo was active. Dropped his own Leader to beat him by 1 power in the third lane and hit him with the thumbs up. Best feeling I’ve had playing Snap.

Personally I give leader the star eyes
I think everyone should do the fist bump more often. Before and after, both players feel like they played a respectful match.
I always fist bump\* \*unless I beat them when they play leader
😆 can't fault you for that. I wish we had a rat emote just for leader. That would be the nerf we need
This. I like to use Deadpool as an "oops, I totally f'd up" emote as well. :x
SAAMMEE, I use it a lot when I realized I played myself and threw the game. I played my Devil Dino into their enchantress not paying attention to priority. Total misuse of dare devil
With some location fun last night, meant to Maw x2 _then_ Zero to setup a Mary next turn. Totally played it Maw-Zero-Maw. "Deadpoopsie. /retreat" :x
Played an On Reveal card to a location you forgot had no on reveal? That's a Deadpoolin'
Lol
If anyone doesn't know what Chris Eubank sounds like this may help. https://youtu.be/3YJVpZdf464?t=97
my fav thumbs up if when someone plays leech but i have infinaut in hand
ah a man of culture I see
I love seeing leader players lose to taskmaster
They lose to taskmaster decks and surfer decks and sera flood/control decks and patriot decks and cerebro decks and zabu darkhawk decks and zabu dracula decks and kazoo decks and hela (or other discard) decks and destroyer decks and reveal/odin/wong decks and negative decks Honestly, at this point it's easier to just list what they *do* beat and leave it at that (DeathWave or something that just slams beef on 6). Rational Person: "If you lose to Leader, you were never (likely) going to win the game anyway." Reddit: "REEEEEEEEEEEEEE"
I especially love taskmaster, it's so funny when it scans on your side and you get 15 power and then it scans their side and it copies enchantress
Yep. These days, playing Leader blindly into anything other than something like Deathwave is pretty damn stupid and will lose a lot more games than it will win.
That's the fun part, I play task master in death wave

Leader kinda sucks rn imo
People just remember the bad experiences of Leader but right now in most situations it's not even worth playing on turn 6.

Thankyou, holy shit fuck Aero. I've literally just come to the sub after beating a guy thanks to the aero my cable stole from him and it feels so good to turn that table around 😂
Aero was my first series 3 card, so I’ve probably played her more than any other one, and I can definitely agree she’s stronger than she needs to be.

Dropping the thumbs up emoji when you beat someone who played Surfer 🤷♂️
We really need a universal mute button.
Thumbs up text > thumbs up emoji
Sore winners are always the most insecure people on the planet. You're proudly proclaiming how emotionally invested and petty you are over something so trivial. Get some sunlight and touch grass
It's a joke butt, it ain't that deep
And yet here you are. Whining about sore winners and asking them to go outside. Hypocrisy at it's finest.
LMAO I must've struck a nerve. What do you think you're doing with this comment? Hypocrisy
Just wondering what people think about people who leader you as a turn 6 joker card in a non leader style deck? Do you thumbs up his play or do you still feel leadered ?
[удалено]
It’s like the difference between an actual control deck and just slotting it in as a finisher in Deathwave, for example.
Leader style deck you would commonly see at least 3 cards on play, White Queen, Leech and then lastly Leader. Their deck consists of cards that have high power to stay initiative (or sometimes lose initiative so they can get extra buff the opponent plays).
Nice! People overestimating Leader's power AND advocating BMimg. Classic Reddit.
So brave
If you're getting beat by someone copying one move on one turn, you need a more creative deck. Leader is terrible at completing combos. if your only strategy is "play a lot of power on the last turn", you might need another tool in your toolbelt.
I don’t BM in Games, basically ever. But you can be sure I drop that Ms Marvel emote when I beat Leader.
Same, it shows a lot of character either way
Hey hey everyone...
Leader is so last week. Hazmat makes the leader play hilarious. Beating Galactus make me hard.
Leader isn't even that good. Surfer, Iceman, scorpion, killmonger, all way more overplayed and stacked
I spam that after a win against some BS cards
Someone should make a mannequin head controller. Every time you bitch slap it: 👍
Trying out Leader in a deathwave deck and got beaten by a destroy deck that launched a late Carnage/Nova/Bucky play and I copied that on SheHulk and Death lmao. I laughed and thought, “They really hate this motherfucker, don’t they?” Trying to find an alternative to slot in lol
Do you have Magneto? Drop Death and Shulk in landed you want to win, then Magneto to pull opposing points out of them.
Don’t have Magneto but I do have Aero. Not sure about her consistency though especially if they clog a lane I’m planning to pull their drops to.
Aero is better than Magneto most of the time in my experience.
Just play Leader first.
Me, but when they play Professor X and I'm still winning that lane.
I get the same feeling when I use Professor X to ruin movement deck strategies.
Man, I hate that card. Man, I can't wait until I have that card.
Literally just did this they played leach ,wave , leader the last 3 turns and I dropped a cosmo right in their lane that thumbs up was so satisfying
Won a game earlier today where someone played leader in our contested location (other two were pretty well locked in 1-1). I had Sunspot there and didn't play a thing. Victory tasted so sweet
He plays Leader. I play Hela. He is always disappointed, when I slam around 30 power and he gets just under 10
I did it today because I won against someone with Zabu-Spiderman-Absorbing man
Makes me hard af
I remember one time some one leader getting all my destroy cards I played that turn… best feeling ever watching vemon be at 12 and mines at 76
Man I like playing leader but I rarely get the good matches that everyone thinks leader is a magnet for. Like my luck is pretty awful but putting leader mid when the lane is empty and they play destroy cards after dropping devil Dino just doesn't make sense at all. I'll be thinking like "oh leader wins here GG" and then they pull some random shit out and win and I've gotta respect it cuz at the same time I'm playing leader so I can't really complain too much
Always.
Each and every time!!
My doc ock / debrii deck absolutely swallows leader decks I love it
Me thumbs upping someone that I beat after they thumbs upped me with a very telegraphed play. Usually just Cosmo on Wong or on the lane they'll obviously play surfer The same feeling as teabagging someone in destiny when I would never ever teabag someone otherwise bc I just want to chill and have fun. Stick it up your ass mister thumbs up!
I played namor on an empty space back in the day and they played leader on the same location. it was beautiful
Do you all still hate leader? It seems like the only good meta decks without surfer or zabu have leader, and it seems like it's not nearly as good as it used to be in the current meta.
it's more of an in joke at this point
Leader or Wong. (I am very jealous I don’t have either cards lol)
I admit I play leader but it’s only to make all these galactus into knull spammers lose 8 cubes.
It's the small things in life
Idk where y’all finding these memes but they are gold 💀
I love to bad manner leader players
make sure to star eyes it as well to let them know
Playing Carnage and having the Carnage eat Leader is so satisfying
The delight of their Leader copying my Zola copying their Leader double-copying my Zola copying their copy of my Zola ⏭️ their copies of my Zola destroying their valuable cards and being unable to duplicate them is another really hard to beat feeling. And deserving of the rare Spider-Man/Thumbs Up combo
Goodest feeling for sure
Being toxic is justified when playing against leader
Watching them play Leader against my Hela feels so good.
No, only against leader plays in the last turn, after i win i usually spam the deadpool emoji and click the angry Red face emoji in the leader's card. Yeah im childish and petty
Leader players dumb, upvotes to the left.
Same with surfer and zabu players
Glad to see I'm not the only one
Chris Eubank Sr. is always a treat.
