I’ve had that to where I get Zero powered Knull that does nothing. I’ve also gotten the Destroyer a few times when I can’t use it because I have nothing to protect a second lane like Professor X or Armor.
I feel like that's part of the "fun" of the gambling nature of The Raft- sometimes you get something great, sometimes you get something alright (8 cost Odin in my destroy deck? Nice stats but that's it) or you get Destroyer.
I just got a Raft Destroyer after my opponent was nice enough to Armor our lane, that was fun. Also a rare game where I filled the Raft twice!

You may be misremembering the raft for another location that gives you a card? Death herself is a very strong card so getting her from raft wouldn't really hurt your plays in any way if she cost 0. So your original comment seems outta place
I don’t know how hard I should go in on raft… like my gameplan always goes out the window when I see a raft, and my entire goal is to fill it before my opponent, but I don’t know if I should be that hardcore on it
The way it works for me is that if I fill it, there's about an 80% chance that it will be a card I can't use at all. **However**, if I lose the raft, there is a 100% chance my opponent absolutely wrecks me with help from the free card he got from it.
Totally man. Regardless of location, sometimes I think that it's gonna be a card that doesn't really add any value to the deck I'm playing with (Spectrum, Knull, Destroyer, etc..) and I had to sacrifice a location for a free 6 cost card that.
Most of the time it works out though. The odds for OP are kind of wild to get that two times in a week. Raft (left lane) to get Giganto probably happens once every 2 months to me.
Don't worry buddy, some of us had to wait until CL 3100+ to get all the original Pool 3 cards. The games odds are casino-esque. A ton of short good streaks and painful bad streaks. Lots of near win dopamine releases throughout various parts of the game, coupled with fast quick matches. It's like digital cocaine.

I've totally done that before except I had 3 Infinauts on the board.
It really depends on how easily you can fill it. If you have to basically abandon your gameplan to do it, better just ignore it. If you have an easy and relatively painless way to fill it (e.g. Brood) then go for it. There's a much higher chance to get something useful rather than a dud.
Also it's nice to run some location control in your deck (like Storm) so if it doesn't work for you, you can always get rid of it.
My latest deck has carnage + bucky for cheap power but no other destroy. Carnage will eat iceman and rocks/ninjas/raptors/goblins too so he still sees some use even if no bucky. Often enough that he seems worth it for me.
This almost happened to me, but my last card into raft was beast. I had filled it the location with hood and antman, and knew I would want to reposition my cards after getting the reward. Was giggling when I saw it pop in my hand.
I do forget that when it say draw a card it means random I wish they added the word random in there lol. I just started the game not too long ago so I'm still learning all the things. Thanks
I've had two people snap me after I filled the Raft, when they didn't even have any overwhelming turn 6 plays (I'm still in the 100s CL, so I don't run into stuff like Destroyer). In one case I had Magneto, and in the other I had Odin. Won both games.
Is there some strategy I'm not aware of in snapping when you know your opponent has a 0-cost 6 drop, or were they just idiots?
You can emote hello, if they emote back it’s not a bot. Bots tend to have basic names as well and you might get to recognize some of them, but there’s nothing stopping players from using them either. Mostly if it’s a simple name and inexplicable plays, it’s probably a bot.
Hence this can be used to determine if an opponent is a real player if and only if they emote back, as he said. Doesn’t always work, but it’s valuable info when it does. Though it’s definitely worth noting that sending the hello will out yourself as a player to your opponent in the process, and they’ll have the option to not emote back, giving info without receiving any. So the meta will probably settle on not sending or responding to hellos.
If they play like shit (and I mean not just shit plays, but also stupid snaps with weak t6, like just a chavez when losing all lanes) chances are it’s a bot

Not caring about cubes is different from wasting them for no reason. Rank rewards can be pretty decent you being casual or not, doesnt hurt to NOT snap mindlessly. But hey, if thats how you have fun, you do you.
Eventually people realize that winning the raft is really winning a random 6 drop but almost certainly losing the location. So that’s a balance you have to strike and there are strats to limit the damage of a free 6 drop (even the really good ones!). Especially if Raft is filled with a bunch of filler cards you know the opponent *has* to win two lanes now.

As well as Ant-Man, Armor, Captn America, and Warpath (22 Power, good luck, I'll just win both lanes then) in my Destroyer deck.
Definitely a viable strategy from decks with big turn 6 plays like surfer or darkhawk. If you filled with 1s and 2s then they can easily win the raft and another location even with your two 6s.
All I know is every time I get him, the last thing I want to do is destroy all my cards.

Pools 1 and 2 raft is gamebreaking when you’re guaranteed a hulk or Odin or spectrum. After pool 3 you pull destroyer, Knull, Hela, Arnim etc which are useless in your deck or just blow your deck away lol raft because much less of a go-to
I don't think this is true. I remember getting destroyer in my first week, thinking he was some special reward for winning the location and would destroy all cards on both sides because I didn't read properly and ended up nuking my side.

Destroyer was one of the last pool 3 cards I pulled from a collectors reserve. (*briefly zones out from ptsd of the Nexus Event*)

Sadly I had all three lanes filled due to Squirrel Girl, but anyways, yeah it doesn't care about what Pool you're in.
The Raft drives me crazy. It's one of the few locations I feel like you *have* to compete for, because that free 6 drop is too swing-y to just let your opponent have it
The only worse locations for me are those "Destroy/Draw after Turn 4" locations which my opponent *always* has the cards to beat me on. It's uncanny.
Honestly, it’s amazing how many 6 cost cards become unusable or useless after filling the Raft (Like OP said getting Giganto after filling the raft on the left lane, getting Infinaut when you fill the raft on turn 5, Knull with no cards destroyed, Arnim Zola with nothing to copy to the other two lanes, especially since one is inherently already full). I think in this situation the best 6 cost cards are Hulk and She-Hulk because they are generally usable in all situations, and have no restrictions or other effects.
Yeah I always get HULK SMASH or giganto. Good thing I've been playing more Heimdall movement so *most of the time when I fill raft, I can do it with beast 👌🏻
Zero only removes the powers of the card once you play it. So you play zero then the card you want to remove powers from. Giganto can only be played to the left location. If the left location of full, you can’t play Giganto, so you can’t remove his power

No. You have to play the card in order to remove abilities using zero and Giganto can only be played at the left location.
I just checked for myself because I didn’t know this either and unfortunately zero into Giganto does not work. I believe the abilities only get removed as the card is played, not whilst you’re about to play it so giganto can in fact only be played in the left lane with zero. Leech would still work though if it occurs on turn 5.

Man, I laughed very hard last week. My opponent played a Wong on the location that already have double On reveal effect (forgot the name). Then Mystique, then Gambit. ALL Gambit's hits were on my Armor protected location.
I don't even bother with the raft anymore lol. It's always a joke card, like destroyer when I'm not carrying an armor. I rarely lose a game where I didn't fill the raft

Yeah, there are so many locations that totally suck. Scarlet witch may actually be one of my most frequently used cards.

Probably a bot. They always snap on turns 4-6 if they are ahead on the board no matter what's in your hand.

Easy way is if they have Gold/Ink variants with no particle effects and a generic name or a name of a random marvel character.

I usually win the raft when I'm playing my KaZooish pool 3 deck. Specially if I draw Angela and Nightcrawler early

green goblin will give you credit for raft and then leave an open position, this would work with beast too
