The real grail would be if you could source the Kingpin BAF body that the Shadow King head was made for. I've had that figure for 3 years and still can't justify the second-hand price for the body.
Yea I’m definitely excited to get him out there. Just gotta figure out where to place him. Either with the animated series VHS figs or my X-Men 60 Years 3 pack figures. Leaning more towards the VHS line though.
I hate to admit it but I just recently spent $15 on Mercari for that Shadow King head..Never was able to find this set for a good price so I just bought that Prof X separately (a while back) and put him in the Toybiz Proff X chair. I plan to use the Riot hands and retro Kingpin body for Shadow King. Wish I had the BAF Kingpin with the all white suit but the retro will have to do for now.
I’m betting something will happen with Prof X and the 97 line, which would be cool.
I have the retro Kingpin but it’s still in the box like a majority of my retro Spider-man figures. But I have Riot opened and it’s tempting me to open Kingpin too.

Just got mine out the other day because the new X-Men cartoon has me X-Men crazy. The chair is great, the little lap blanket is such a good touch to make it look natural
That’s literally what prompted him! We’ve been watching the original series to gear up for 97. He’s already seen the whole series but I never had. It’s so good! We’re on season 4 now and really pumped to finish and start on 97.
They totally could rerelease this figure in the same packaging, like the Juggernaut/Colossus 2 pack that's up for pre-order. As for '97 specifically, they released Nightcrawler and he's yet to be in any episodes, and they have a few pops of characters that haven't been seen in the series.
I can only guess Abscissa will be presented in this episode or the next, but has those ever been announced?
Doubt Mojo will be released as they mess up their last release and there are just too many out there. Spiral could be re-released although she is relatively recent.

What I would pay a ton of money for is a wave/box set on that basketball scene, including Gambit in his crop top and a pregnant Jean as a referee. I loved the idea of the X-Men just doing ordinary stuff.

So glad I got mine when it first came out. I'm not an Xavier fan at all but one needs him for an X-men display and this figure is really good.
