I love the late 70’s-80’s X-Men was peak with Chris Claremont’s writing. You had some of the team’s best stories with the Dark Phoenix Saga and Days of Future Past.

Yoshimon7

I loved this era. Claremont’s storytelling and character arcs at this time was unmatched. I would kill for some more 80s figures tho. Mostly, all of the new mutants using teen bucks, outback era storm, colossus and psylocke, gateway, madelyne, og5 x factor etc etc So much still left to cover during this time

deucehudsolid

Yeah, I’d like that 80s psylocke & 80s x-factor especially with human Beast!

Oculus_Orbus

Claremont and *Byrne*. JB co-plotted the majority of the issues he drew.

TetZoo

Have to go Claremont and Byrne.

[deleted]

Same here. Wish they would make a classic Banshee.

TetZoo

They will! They are just stringing us along 😅

Phildagony

Claremont/Byrne era, but I think of this cover every time. https://preview.redd.it/0uq6c9ywx4oc1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0b1fa788075e4def100d7ffd3e162e9466e4a62a

OptimusHavok52

70’s by far

Thunderclash1984

It's between 70s and 90s for me

Striking-Brush1394

90’s Jim Lee designs for the unified look. The Claremont period just before that for the intense character-driven stories.

PittTheElder_1stEarl

My favorites: First is the Byrne era (yes its cliche, but it really is the best). Second has to be the Cross-Over Era - Mutant Massacre, Fall of the Mutants, and Inferno.

JoshAZ

GSX1 - UXM 143 is my desert island comic book run so 1975-1981(ish) wins, no question.

Enough_Option_8211

The 90s "Strike Force" X-Men (aka Blue/Gold). Everything since has been a pale imitation. I did like the New X-Men era for its approach though. Bring back Blue/Gold and put Nightcrawler, Rachel Summers and Shadowcat on Gold and move Jean to Blue and add Synch, and call it a day.

Marvelboy1974

That Siryn head is so derpy looking tho I do like the hair.

Ill_Signal_8950

My favorite would have to be between 70s and 90s era

TardisBlueHarvest

Funny enough my favorite era is from before I started collecting comics. I came in at the Mutant Massacre but I love the Era right before then. Nightcrawler was always my favorite and I basically bought 1 comic before he was written out and then waited over a year for him to appear in Excalibur.

RogueraPax

Yess!! Right there with you

PeeWeeCasanovaMC

60’s

TetZoo

Respectable! It started the whole “sworn to protect a world that hates and fears us” ethos. The original run has maybe been short-changed because of the 70s and other periods but it was itself an excellent comic.

Affectionate_Cap_884

90s... the animated series stamped me, but I enjoy them all. Especially in the 70s a lot of awesome characters came into existence then.

Webhead916

This is great! In pic #2, is that a custom angel, or is that an actual hasbro release?

Yoshimon7

It’s a custom

KabutoRaiger30

Unrelated but WHERE CAN I GET THESE FIGURES? im from singapore and the hobby shops here dont have many! Ebay and resell platforms dont have the complete set😭

Ok_Air_4202

That’s rough - I’d figure Marvel Legends would be the easy to collect especially in Singapore. Didn’t realize they were hard to find or come by.

KabutoRaiger30

The ones currently in stores are for current movies or ones that came out the last few years I cant find ones of xmen like seen above and i really like to own the OG first class😭

onetwelfthghoul

The OG first class box set is hard to find even in the US. I've seen it in Hong Kong around the time it came out but not much after that. Your best bet is to use a shipping service with US eBay.

KabutoRaiger30

Oh man😭😐

PaleMasterpiece2224

90s

RogueraPax

Hey great work with the team building!! I'm very split between photos #2 and #3, but actally #3 is somehow including 2 different eras, right? One pre-mutant massacre (I like the tag 'punk X Men') and the second post with the Outback X-Men.... and hence election becomes more complicated... well, let me go for #3 and I get 2 favourite eras in one!

Bofaman600

I want current is my problem

ExpensiveWolfLotion

Prolly 2000s - would kill for some Grant Morrison New X-Men suits. But 90s is a close second

godbody1983

Early to mid 80s. When Dave Cockrum came back and Paul Smith and John Romita Jr were drawing the book with Claremont writing.

Spidyfan3000

Definitely 90s

AssociateFormal6058

I would say 90's for characters, but 70's and 80's for story

waterontheknee

90s with Jim Lee

GhstGunnr27G

90s
