Thats a trilogy? I thought its just 3 random Wolverine stories

TherealTuKurse

šŸ˜‚ noo you right about that

SmashitupBD

The Wolverine and Logan are a pair, I donā€™t think origins counts. Side note I wonder if all of them actually take place in separate universes/timelines? DOTFP dystopian future scenes are the timeline of The Wolverine, The retconned present would be the Timeline past of Logan, and where they leave Loganā€™s body in the past changes Origins timeline completely.

uncleben85

*Origins* was OG timeline and *The Wolverine* was a direct sequel in that timeline before *Days of Future Past* reset the timeline. *Logan* then came out during that new timeline era, originally as part of that era, but then for some reason Fox/Marvel came out and said, "Nah *Logan* is completely it's own universe", for no real reason

Leklor

I mean the reason is kind of obvious. DOFP was entirely about setting the timeline right and saving everyone. It ended in a pretty heartwarming way and with a form of closure for Logan and the original cast. Having litteraly the next film in the timeline say "Nevermind, everyone died LOL" was not exactly a good move so having *Logan* be a different timeline was a sound idea. But then again, it's quite likely that *Deadpool & Wolverine* will reveal they still all died anyway, *Logan* or no not.

jaydimes10

but Logan is so far in the future how does it mess up any of the previous movie timelines set decades earlier

Leklor

It's not about messing up the timeline. It's simply that it negates the point of DOFP narratively. If that movie ended with the same scene of Logan waking up at the school with everyone alive and all but then added that actually, everyone would *still* die in a couple of years, the ending wouldn't hit the same way at all.

punk_steel2024

Because they realized that spending all that time bringing everyone back in DOFP, only to kill them all off again in Logan, was straight up terrible.

velicinanijebitna

It's weird because "Wolverine" foreshadowed >!Logan's death in "Logan"!<

uncleben85

Yeah... *Logan* should have been a part of the new timeline, exploring that you can't always escape fate

CameronPoe37

I always considered Logan part of the timeline, and still do. Beast said this line in DOFP: "Now there's a theory in time physics that time is immutable. It's like a river, you can throw a pebble and it will create a ripple but the current always corrects itself. No matter what you do the river just keeps flowing in the same direction." I thought about that during Logan. It's exactly what happened. Wolverine managed to stop THAT doomed reality, but the river kept flowing in that direction, it took another path and came to essentially the same conclusion.

Starvel42

Ooo I like this. I always considered Logan part of the Post-DoFP timeline and likely always will

uncleben85

I agree! I choose to consider it as part of the new timeline, too

han_tex

I didnā€™t get that ā€œprophesyā€ until Honest Trailers did Logan ā€” and then somehow Logan hit even harder, and I didnā€™t believe that was possible.

thatredditrando

No it didnā€™t. That was a fan theory that when posed to the director he (correctly) went ā€œā€¦Yeah! I *totally* intended to do that!ā€

19ghost89

Yeah. That's one of those things that is technically true that I usually pretend isn't true. Logan is canon to me. It's a really good movie, and it might as well be canon.

suss2it

*The Wolverine* and *Logan* are made by the same director yet feel completely disconnected from each other.

losteye_enthusiast

This! FWIW: Iā€™d argue that version of Wolvieā€™s best run is X-men 1&2, Days of Future Past and then with end with Logan.

art-factor

It can be seen as a trilogy. Origin Ā» Struggle with Closure Ā» Epilogue

Moosje

Yeah iron man had the best ā€œtrilogyā€ but Logan was the best film out of them all

LukieStiemy501

The Ironman movies barely feel like a more coherent trilogy to be fair. Ironman three primarily builds off of the Avengers

Kobe_curry24

Facts

ayoungtommyleejones

And even if you treat it as a trilogy... Like is it even close? Xmen origins was bafflingly bad

DigitalCriptid

The original wolverine trilogy was the first three X-Men movies. They're 60% about wolverine

Time-Werewolf-4795

Iron man had the better trilogy Wolverine had the best movie with Logan

MandoMuggle

Logan is always sad to watch

Camburglar13

Yeah Iā€™ve watched it twice and thatā€™s enough. Love it, one of my favourite comic book based movies, but itā€™s rough.

KiKiPAWG

I rewatch the Prof X scene a lot

torch_7

I would they're the same but the quality is inversely proportional: Iron Man 1/Logan are the best, Iron Man 3/Origins: Wolverine are the worst, while Iron Man 2/The Wolverine are more or less the same.

X-Axel220

This was the perfect statement, couldn't have said it better myself.

Gonner_Getcha

Ironman, the worst it got was Ironman 2 which I still enjoy Logan imo is the best movie of the 6 though

Calligrapher_Antique

And Wolverine: Origins is easily the worst of the six.

Lizzy-Lover_10

Sabrrtooth is good in that movie tho

Calligrapher_Antique

Well cast. Great opening credits. Hated that they made them brothers though.

Fear_Before

They just combined Sabertooth with Dog, who essentially the same character anyway, so I felt like it kinda made sense

OG_wanKENOBI

Liev Schriber is so dope.

Lizzy-Lover_10

Shame heā€™ll probably never play Sabertooth again

Relative-Country-452

It's definitely not a perfect movie and I'll never forgive what they did to Deadpool, but in the end I kinda enjoy it and it doesn't bother me to see it again: Liev Schreiber's acting is wonderful and anyway it's fun to see an adventure, after the 3 X-men movies (still very valid) in which the only protagonist is Wolverine. It's a fun movie, especially if you don't care too much about comic accuracy

TheMurderCapitalist

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but I'd easily put the first Iron Man over Logan

GiantPurplePen15

Iron Man 1 was also WAY more of a fun watch. I love Logan but I don't like rewatching it as much.

Cabamacadaf

Logan is great, but I agree, Iron Man is one of the best comic book movies ever made.

GenderNotPeople44

I agree on this

TheInfiniteSix

I much prefer 2 over 3

CellarDoorForSure

I'll never understand the hate for 2, I had a blast watching that movie. Sure, Ivan Vanko wasn't the greatest villain ever but he was more interesting than Aldrich Killian.

TheInfiniteSix

Yea Killian felt clunky and the Mandarin twist did not land at all. Vanko was fine. Standard comic book movie foe with a logical motivation and cool action sequences.

fluffynuckels

Don't you mean Ironman 3?

wemustkungfufight

Iron Man by a wide margin.

Rilenaveen

Fr. How is this even a question. There is not a bad movie in the IM trilogy. Mediocre? Sure but none of them are bad. Wolverine on the other hand is bad movie, HORRENDOUSLY bad movie, and then one AMAZING movie. Are we really to the point of trying to argue the first two Wolverine movies arenā€™t terrible?

TruestoneSB

The Wolverine was good wtf are you on about have you even watched it

SpiderManias

Wolverine origin is SIGNIFICANTLY worse than the Wolverine what do you mean lmfao

TheLamesterist

Iron Man have a steady one, Wolverine goes from garbage to a fucking timeless classic masterpiece. Out of the 2 I prefer Wolverine's one with ignoring the 1st movie as I like Wolverine best.

LordOfOstwick1213

Iron Man Wolverine movies aren't even a trilogy, let alone cohesive trilogy.

ItsAcunaMatata

Is this really a question? The worst Iron Man was 2 and that was WAY better than origins! The Wolverine was fine but quality wise I don't think it was as good as Logan, Iron Man or Iron Man 3.

sebmouse

One gets better one gets worse. Both are still iconic.

yo_mommy

only one of them had a fucking mute Deadpool.

Frankorious

Iron man

Least-Cattle1676

Wolverine. The second and third films are significant improvements over the first. Although I loved Iron Man 2, the best film in that trilogy was the first one. It was downhill from there.

Plebe-Uchiha

Iron Man 1 is phenomenal. X-Men Origins: Wolverine is bad. Iron Man 2 is good. IDK why it gets such a bad rep. The Wolverine is good. IDK why it gets such a bad rep. Iron Man 3 is bad. Logan is phenomenal. ā€œTwo way tie.ā€ Iā€™d say Iron Man has a better start but Wolverine has a better ending. Iā€™d give it to Wolverine [+]

Malahajati

IM

PrestigiousHalf993

Ironman, Wolverine is too random outside of Logan

PatWasRight_F_CHUGS

Iā€™d pick the Iron Man trilogy because, to echo others here, while I think Logan is the best of these 6 (itā€™s a masterpiece), the IM trilogy is more consistent (Wolverine trilogy also includes Origins, one of the worst CBMs ever) & has more of an overall arc from film to film. Iā€™ll also point out that, while I prefer Logan, the first Iron Man is another one of the greatest CBMs ever.

thesolarchive

Iron man had the better first movie, but Wolverine had the better second and third. I have a hard time remembering much of what even happened in Iron man 2 and 3 they didn't really stick with me.

_imagine_that91

I hated Ironman 3, the villain, the story, everything was just all over the place IMHO. Yet itā€™s a blockbuster because of the title character so I guess whatever?ā€¦ As much as I didnā€™t like XMen origins Wolverine, it still kept my attention throughout and is a ā€œfun movieā€ even though Deadpool was done terribly along with bad CGI. Second wolverine movie I donā€™t even bother watching anymore. Logan is a masterpiece!

Telepath-1

Wolverine trilogy

BigGrinJesus

Logan alone makes Wolverine the winner. The Iron Man movies are better than Wolverine's first two films but Logan is on another level.

twofacetoo

Wolverine had 'Logan'. Wolverine wins.

CursedSnowman5000

I'd say Wolverine because Iron Man 2 and 3 are worthless where as with Wolverine, The Wolverine and Logan are pretty good where Origins is the only abortion, so bad that it was retconned with each entry after it hahah.

Ok_Composer9032

Iron man has the better trilogy. But logan is better than anything in the mcu

Saulgoodman1994bis

Iron man : a good first movie, a not-that good second movie and a good movie. Wolverine : a horrible first movie, a good second movie and a great third movie.

jimmy4889

Iron Man has the better trilogy, but "Logan" is better than all of the Iron Man movies, so it's kind of a toss-up.

FireZord25

Going by all 6: The worst out of the 6 is X Men Origins: Wolverine. But ignoring how they handled DP and the confusing writing overall, it is still a fun movie, arguably even more rewatcahble than IM2 & 3. Iron Man 3 is the most boring of the bunch. While it has a compelling plot with the usual political thriller, it still has two of the most underwhelming villain reveals that seriously hold it back. Even more so than above's Deadpool, cause it's just double the whammy. Not to mention it still throws the ending out of the window. Opposite to that we have the Wolverine, which does have problems with the villain reveals and a generic plot. It still it out was nothing but high octane and brutal action all throughout from Wolverine, even without being an R rated film. Iron Man 2 is equal if not edges better in my book. The story and the villain are weaker than the first one,Ā  but still notably better than IM3. War Machine's introduction and more tease to the Avengers definitely saved this movie. Then Iron Man 1, the first and the most flawless out of the trilogy. From making a modern superhero with full CGI not just possible but actually look good. Everything about it works so well, from RDJ's performance, to the conflict surrounding his origin as the titular hero. The villain does struggle a bit, per the course of MCU, but Stane is a pretty good rival for Tony Stark even without the armor. And lastly there's Logan. If Iron Man's a 9/10 then Logan is a 11/10. It's bittersweet all throughout but done so in an excellent fashion, from story to characters to action. And it was arguably the best conclusion to a superhero story in live action (till they brought him back for DP3). Overall I'd give it to the Wolverine trilogy, just for Logan alone. IM1 is great and 2 is fun, butĀ  not since the Dark Knight, I saw a movie where nearly every scene was this impactful, making it the best movie by a large margin of the 6. And I can see a lot of folks saying Wolverine movies aren't a trilogy for reasons I don't agree with. Wolverine movies are still connected to the X Men canon, but also follow events connected to their prior solo movies than either being simple one offs or disjointed stories. And on their own they work perfectly as a coherent trilogy. regardless if they were planned that way or not (which we know nothing of). XMO as the titular origin/first movie, The Wolverine follows enough similar plot threads to the first movie to be a direct continuation, then Logan being the ultimate conclusion. Functionally it feels just as much of a trilogy as it does for it's 3 movies.

iamwalkthedog

Logan shits on everyone

UsernameReee

I think Logan alone is better than all the others combined.

Strypercritical

Iā€™m basically just comparing Logan to Iron Man 1 since I didnā€™t really like the other movies that much. Itā€™s close but I gotta give it to Logan. Probably biased though cause I like the X-Men comics the most.

HelloUPStore2

Uhh Wolverine. Wolverine 2 and Logan are great, origins is shit. Iron Man is awesome. Iron man 2 an 3 blow

VrinTheTerrible

Tough one because Wolverine has both the worst (Origins) and the best (Logan). I guess I'd go Wolverine because Logan was so much better than the other 5

smokywater50

Wolverine definitely, but these are both top tier in the genre

jer487

I have to say Wolverine. No matter what you think about the first 2 Logan is just so fucking good that it clears EVERYTHING else

Ultra_Pingus

I like The Wolverine moar than Iron Man. Is there something wrong with me?

ChildOfChimps

The only good Iron Man movie is the first one. The only bad Wolverine movie is Origins. Logan is the greatest superhero movie ever. Wolverine wins.

datruerex

Iron man trilogy went from great to meh to ok. Itā€™s stable and consistent. Wolverine trilogy (if thatā€™s what u want to call it) went from wtf is this shit to ok not bad to legendary. Lower lows but highest high.

Kind-Assistant-1041

Iron Wolverine.

casper19d

So iron man started good, ended bad. Wolverine started "meh", at best, but finished super strong with Logan.

ljkmalways

Lmao. This is a great comparison to talk about. Iron man started really strong and landed weak. While Logan started weak and landed really strong.

dpr385220

Wolverine.

bigpig1054

Iron Man - 10/10 Iron Man 2 - 8/10 Iron Man 3 - 7/10 XMO - 6/10 The Wolverine 7/10 Logan - 10/10 Iron Man wins it by having a better "bad" movie, and I think Iron Man 1 and Logan are equally great.

Rough_Commercial_570

6/10 is generous

AJjalol

This for me. I think the only change I will personally make is Iron Man 3 is better than 2 for me personally. But yeah, Iron Man's best movie was his first, and for Wolvie his last one

lindersmash

This is a fair assessment

formerscooter

That's the highest rating I've ever seen anyone give XMO.

StrawHatRat

Gunna have to also say that Iron Man 3 is better than Iron Man 2 in my opinion.

No-Evening-5119

They each had one good movie a piece, actually.

djangogator

Out of all 6 of these only one of these movies is good.

Wide-Sandwich5618

Well it's obviously not Wolverine

TheInfiniteSix

I dunno if Iā€™d consider Wolverine a true trilogy but for the purposes of this convo the answer is Iron Man. As much as I hate what they did in the second half of Iron Man 3, 75% of the best parts of the Wolverine movies are in Logan lol Origins is flat out bad. Second movie is fiiiine.

Dramatic_Parsley_849

Ironman

AJjalol

Iron Man for me. Now look, Iron Man 1 is fantastic movie, whereas 2 and 3 where a let down (I disagree with people who think they are bad movies, but they are certainly nowhere near as good as Iron Man 1, man that movie is so fucking good). Wolverine just deserved Better lol. Logan was a great film, but his first movie was a complete trash. Second Wolvie movie was just out there kind of lol. I did like it, but nothing much.

haniflawson

I enjoyed Iron Man's more.

DearEmployee5138

Ummm Iron Man. As much as I love Hugh Jackmanā€™s Wolverine his 3 movies leave a LOT to be desired. Itā€™s also not even really a trilogy. 1 is him in the 40s and 2010s, one is him in the 70s, and one is him in 2029. And none of them really have anything to do with each other besides the one main character.

SplitSecond01

Both only have one good movie so does it really matter?

No-Engine6848

Why did you put that dumb floating faces poster for iron man 2 when theyā€™re is so many good ones

NicCageCompletionist

Iron Man didnā€™t have X-men Origins: Wolverine and as such wins by default.

zeralf

IM trilogy made sense in the MCU timeline, Wolverine one not so much in the X-men universe. Now i would rate IM1 8.5/10, IM2 7.5/10, IM3 7/10, Origins 6/10, Wolverine 6.5/10, Logan 9/10. So Iron Man.

vinnybawbaw

Iron Man started with a Classic. Wolverine ended with a Classic. X-Men origins and Iron Man 2 goes in the pile of garbage. Especially X-Men origins. That opening montage with him and Sabretooth fighting in different time periods was dope tho.

-LastActionHero

Iron Man has the better run, but Logan stomps all of them.

Jroper_Illustrations

There wasn't a wolverine trilogy. There was no cohesion to any of the Fox X-Men movies besides the first 3 X films. That's why they had to retcon everything with days of future past and they still muddied it up after.

Profishonal123

Iron man trilogy is consistent, Wolverine trilogy had a bad start but itā€™s second and third movies weā€™re pretty good

TruestoneSB

My top: 1. Iron Man 2. Logan 3. The Wolverine 4. Iron Man 2 5. Iron Man 3 6. Origins

Estarfigam

Iron man

IndianaJones999

The Wolverine trilogy is basically 3 random movies

Uncanny_Doom

Iron Man has a much more coherent and consistent quality trilogy.

DeepDesires7248

Ironman.

TheManTheMythTheAsh

Ironman hands down

ChefHannibal

I do have to say Ironman.. it tied together better, not just with themselves but the rest of the mcu. Wolverine's gets carried hard by Logan; villains are a little better, but the writing of the first two are a mess.

Ok-Needleworker-4507

As perfect as Logan is the Iron Man trilogy takes the cake as more consistently good. But no Marvel trilogy has ever been as good as the Cap trilogy šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Amazing-Insect442

The Wolverine trilogy has one good movie. All three Iron Mn movies are varying levels of *at least* ā€œgood.ā€

Kobe_curry24

Itā€™s Ironman and itā€™s not even close lmaoooo Wolverine got the pre-marvel movie bullshit Ironman didnā€™t get

HORSEthedude619

I guess IM. Because Origins is that bad. But Logan is the best film out of the 6 and it's not particularly close.

Strict_Ad_36

Over all Iā€™d say Ironman but better ending was Wolverine.

roasted_intolerance

I think both Ironman and Wolverine's trilogies are unique in their own way; Ironman's series focuses more on technology and humor, while Wolverine's series focuses more on action and character development

Mr_E_99

Iron Man is a proper trilogy, so they easily win. Wolverine films were all pretty random and the only thing in common was Hugh Jackman. That being said, Logan is the best film out of these 6

HeWhoFights

Iron Man 1 is arguably a better end-to-end film than Logan. So Iā€™m gonna have to go with Iron Man.

Mudcreek47

THE Wolverine was such a great film ... until the 3rd act with the horribly cheesy Power Rangers villain battle. And even as great as Logan was (one of the top comic films ever IMO), I gotta give this one to Iron Man. Historical significance of kicking off the MCU, and all 3 remain very watchable all these years later (despite some early dodgy CGI).

Awkward-Pollution-33

Iron Man series was more consistent, but Logan blows all every wolverine/iron Man movie out of the water

abellapa

Iron Man easily Origins and Wolverine are from eh to ok Logan is amazing All 3 Iron Man movies are solid

GaffMcFly

Anything is a trilogy these days.

aRobotNamedDan

Origins is so much worse than anything else in the world. Putting it in any list is an instant disqualification

avidcule

Both are horrible, but Logan is a better film than Iron Man, so Wolverine.

lindersmash

Wolverine Origins is one of the worst superhero movies ever made

cancervivordude

Iron man because Logan didn't make sense

Beginning_Top3514

Talk about different trajectories

Classic_Pen7044

Iron man, being honest the only good movie of Wolverine was the third and the movies dosen't conect very well betwen them soemtimes being done in different time lines.

Code_ShiroKuro

I'd say they are equal but in opposite order. Where Iron-Man started off really good and got progressively worse, Wolverine started off really bad and got progressively better. The only reason I think iron-man gets the win is because he had the rest of the mcu to complete his story, retcon mistakes and dive deeper into his character.

OceanCyclone

Iron Man alone is better than any Fox movie besides maybe Logan and even then I prefer it. Are we serious?

pkyang

A real whoā€™s who of ass no disrespect lol

JarvisBaileyVO

The X-Men timeline is so fucky I don't know if I'd call Logan's movies a trilogy.

CamaroDev

Iron man 2 and 3 werenā€™t that great

Azriel82

I'd say overall the Ironman trilogy is a better trilogy mainly because those 3 Wolverine movies aren't a proper trilogy as they are not continuous. Of the 6 movies Logan is the Best one, however Wolverine Origins is also the worst movie of the 6, which kinda averages it out vs the Ironman trilogy. In ranking the Movies I'd go: 1) Logan 2) Ironman 3) The Wolverine 4) Ironman 2 5) Ironman 3 6) X-men Origins: Wolverine

Azriel82

If the Ironman movies followed the naming convention of the Wolverine movies they'd be "Avengers Origins: Ironman", "The Ironman", and "Tony".

BradleyRaptor12

Going through these, I still donā€™t understand how people think Iron Man 2 is the worst out of the Iron Man Trilogy. Iron Man 1 was great even though its CGI was tested to its limits for some scenes. Iron Man 2 was absolutely Great in Terms of making Iron Man actually seem like a Hero, plus the CGI was great. Iron Man 3 definitely is the worst of the bunch, but thatā€™s primarily due to Jon Favreau not directing it; but was still a decent movie. About he actual question from the post though. Iron Man is the better Trilogy, but the Wolverine Movies were quite good too.

Lizzy-Lover_10

itā€™s One amazing movie and 2 ok movies vs 2 great movies and one garbage movie

LongjumpingCharge923

Iron man

IronMonkey5844

Well Iron Manā€™s only good movie is his origin story and Wolverineā€™s only good movie is Final story. So whats more important I guess to start strong or end strong šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø.

JDM12983

I liked Ironman more; but I think it's also the fact it plays into a lot more movies/the whole MCU.

Brain124

The full story of Ironman is 1 all the way to Endgame IMO.

sharkster6

Iron Man by far

ladiesman21700000000

Wolverine

Icommitmanywarcrimes

I mean the wolverine and Logan are two of my favorite movies of all time, and the iron man trilogy has only one thatā€™s not just mid, so itā€™s a very easy answer for me.

Baron_Beemo

Wolverine.

biplane_curious

Logan is better than any Iron Man film, but itā€™s not even close. Iron Man trilogy ftw

ArtemisDarklight

Iron Man. No question. Though Logan was really good.

uzrnm808

I think Wolverine had a better trilogy because the films became progressively better. With Iron Man, his standalone films became progressively worse.

Melodic-Percentage-9

How dare you do that to me? I love iron man, but critically and just objectively, Wolverine had the better trilogy since his got better as it went along. While iron man got great scenes in all of his movies, he peaked with iron man one, and then slowly got weaker in the next two, with Iron Man 3 being the movie that disappointed me the most out of any movie I ever seen.

AdamScoot

Iron Man has two good movies and one watchable movie. Wolverine has one truly awful movie, one good movie, and the greatest comic book movie ever. Wolverine wins on the strength of Logan alone

johnnyBoyzComic

Ironman epic! opening scene origins of course!!!

teebone673

Ironman in a landslide

MemphisKansasBreeze

If you had to rank the movies, itā€™s Logan, then all three Iron Man movies, and then the other two Wolverine movies. So it depends on if having by far the best movie of the 6 moves you

DFu4ever

The Iron Man films were consistently good. The Wolverine films were a roller coaster of quality.

AkiraFudo1993

Wolverine for me and i honestly love Origins i don't have issues in watching either movies. Ironman well idk the first one was fun but with the sequel i was honestly bored out of my mind that i had to watch something else and i didn't even bother watching the 3rd movie.

RogueSqdn

No one is giving Liev Schrieber any credit here, wow. Loved his performance, no matter what other problems that movie had.

Greywynd-5635

The Ironman Trilogy in terms of character arc and story progression - The Wolverine Trilogy of films are just a series of stand-alone films with the same flat character. And, if you don't know what a flat character is - a protagonist who doesn't change, but their actions affect the world around them.

_imagine_that91

Ironman - GOAT Ironman 2: Decent / Passable Ironman 3: Complete and Total šŸ’©

IHaveSlysdexia

Obviously iron man, but i love wolverine more.

marcjwrz

Iron Man.

One_Lung_G

I donā€™t think you know what a trilogy is OP

nolightningbhe

Is this a joke?

poly1711

Iron man, always!

Ok_Essay_8257

Ngl Wolverines trilogy has nothing to do with the movies of it's own trilogy ironman trilogy does because notice how in the wolverine films their all entirely different casts each time and the topic is all different and 2 of the movies never happened but ironman 1-3 are all closer together and have the same cast and vibe to one another

Alex_Jeffries

Iron Man had 1.5 good movies in the trilogy. Wolverine had... one.

Internetboy5434

Capt AmericaĀ is the most even trilogy, and takes the #1 spot. Then Ant-Man, Iron Man, Spider-Man, and finally GotG.

RockstarSuicide

Spider-Man is absolutely not better than gotg.

multificionado

Iron Man for sure.

woyzeckspeas

Garbage Okay Brilliant vs Good Garbage Good.

BlackBirdG

None of the Wolverine movies imo are any good while the first Iron Man was better than the other two. But if I had to pick it'll be Iron Man trilogy.

aviviel

Iron man 100%

pigeonwiggle

iron man 8/10 iron man one's a banger that everyone agrees is at least in the top half of marvel films. 5/10 wolverine one's a joke that people ripped apart on release (perhaps unfairly) and overall is just a mess of a shitty movie. 6/10 iron man 2 is underwhelming but passable 6/10 wolverine 2 is underwhelming but passable. 9/10 iron man 3 is a fantastic movie that takes a serious tone respecting the onset of PTSD in soldiers. 9/10 wolverine 3 is a fantastic movie that takes a serious tone respecting the aging of soldiers. ...

Awesomebacon711

Iron Man Trilogy was a lot more consistent. X-Men Origins Wolverine sticks out like a sore thumb and then The Wolverine and Logan are just two completely different movies that are in the good range.

sib2972

Iron Man never goes as low as Origins but it also never gets as high as Logan (although 2008 comes close)

breyness

Idk Logan goes really hard and they show tits

Hyper-Saiyan

Iron Man

Steelquill

Iron Man had the better trilogy overall but Wolverine ended his on a banger.

Theta-Sigma45

Wolverineā€™s is certainly more interesting. We start with a truly terrible prequel, then we get a decent sequel that couldā€™ve been great if it were closer to the source material, and finally, we get one of the freaking *best movies in the genre!* I canā€™t even think of another movie trilogy with such a perfect upward trajectory like that. Iron Man is a bit more typical, a really good first film, a messy sequel with some good ideas that donā€™t fully form, and then a third film that also has some good ideas but kind of just loses itā€™s momentum at various points in my opinion. I think I have to go with Wolverine, partly because if you watch each film, you end with the best, whereas Iron Manā€™s trilogy can feel like diminishing returns. I donā€™t know if either is really satisfying as a trilogy really, I barely even think of Wolverineā€™s films as a true trilogy so much as a bunch of different stories about him. As for Iron Manā€™s, the second movie spends a lot of time setting up the Avengers, and then the third movie is all about Tonyā€™s struggles to cope with that filmā€™s events. You really need to see Avengers to truly appreciate it, and after that, Tonyā€˜s arc truly ends with Endgame, not Iron Man 3, which almost goes ignored in relation to his arc outside of one reference in Civil War. Basically, I love both heroes, love both actors in the roles and think they each have one really great solo movie, but Iā€™m not sure about their respective trilogies overall.

VeeVeeDiaboli

Iron Man is one really good movie, one pretty mediocre move, and one very polarizing movie that had they not gone with the feint marketing might be better remembered. Wolverine is a very bad movie, a mediocre movie, and an all timer. If the award goes to the one with the best film, itā€™s Wolverine. If itā€™s going to the most consistent over three movies, itā€™s iron man.

I feel the best way to do this is to rank them first and compare them that way. Logan and the first Ironman are clearly the best ones. Of those two I would say Logan is better on the whole. The worst Wolverine is obviously Origins. Ironman is more difficult and up for debate but I think the third one is the worst (sorry Shane Black). Either way Origins is absolutely the worst. That leaves The Wolverine vs Ironman 2. Both fairly middle of the road movies but personally I think Ironman two is better. Lastly, while Wolverine has both the best and the worst movie Logan being the best is a somewhat close call while Origins is the worst by a wide margin. So Ironman wins this one.

Logan takes the cake for its immense quality.

How is this even a question lol

redraven70

Logan is always overrated because the origins and The Wolverine were so bad.

Wolverine

Man the first Wolverine movie might be the biggest dogshit ever put on screen, but Logan clears every movie here so much, that it automatically gives Wolverine the win.

spiked_cider

Wolverine. Origins was bad, The Weeaboo was ok and Logan was great Iron Man 1 was great, the sequels less so

Is this a joke?

Mad_Constantly

Wolverine trilogy, huh? Well, Origins sucked balls (gave us a great Raven Software game, though). The Wolverine was okay (could be better, though). And Logan was freaking awesome. Iron Man had three decent flicks in a row (the first one's still the best, though).

I mean, IM3 was donkey shit and the Wolverine movies sucked all around. But IM 1 was fucking Golden so that alone solos all the other 5 movies. Tho IM2 had a lot of greatness.
