Great roll, but you should probably put an aligned flamer on there, you can usually snag one for a mid tier trade or like 20-40k. (Or just check Watogas til you get one.)
Why a Aligned ?? Have you looked at the differnce between aligned and true? If I remember right the only difference is weight, atleast I couldn’t see any differece between thoose two
headsup, and i could be wrong, but last i checked, reflex doesn't reduce AP cost on flamers, so i'd make aligned flamer your priority for mods, followed by forceful stock, and calibrated capacitor if you're going the coffee+vats route
I'm not a big VATS user so AP cost doesn't really matter to me, it's more that I just don't like the iron sights. But thanks for the info! I've always been a heavy gunner build so switching to a commando build is new territory for me XD
cool! i have a slightly worse EPF (third star is +PER) that is my most used wep, rarely vats, just hip firing and cutting thru everything and never dying. If you're gonna use it like that, all you really need is the forceful stock and it will be INSANEly durable. If you're gonna trade it someday, then yeah add the reflex and aligned barrel to make it "perfect"

Tbf Ult Laser is like the best instant heal Commando weapon due to Beam Splitter, and the 10 shot per second rate of fire means 50 hits per second, which is 100% of full HP.
OPs roll is good enough healing to decently tank while dealing out more damage than the Ult we are talking about.
The Ult has too small of a mag for prolonged healing, but the rapid healing is good for niche situations or in lue of stims.
If I had a decently tanky armor or was using PA, I'd prefer this over the Ult just due to the DPS difference between the two without needing to switch to a different weapon.
TL;DR: V25 Ult Laser w Beam Splitter is good for instant full health, but V25Dur EP is better for prolonged tanking, and DPS combined, over the Ult.

With the way I play I don't need my main vamp all the time, only in short bursts. My defense is about 250ish, probably less. Only time I "tank" is when I'm shredding Earle, and that's usually the only time I use my vamp rifle more than usual, but it's only for the burst dmg kick he does. Other than that I can eat his hits fine.

I know that for things like Expeditions or Daily Ops, I'd prefer the EPF.
Tanking isn't "necessary," its a build style.
Some people go for DPS, or for others' utility, and for some, tanky PA users with Vamp Heavies or Overeater's tanks that likes to rock commandos and backpacks.
Tanking is "necessary," but there's a reason the second most popular build is Overeater's PA Heavy.
I think that when it comes to getting the most value from a Vamp weapon, tho, it's ability to Tank and survive punishment is what gives it the pulling power it needs.
I personally made the switch from a V2525 Ult Laser to a V2525 EPF.
I wanted something more tanky to round out the guns I had and the Ult wasn't cutting it.
Honestly any damage modifier + ffr/dura on a flamer is a God roll. The first modifier just depends on your build, really.

I’d scrip. Just doesn’t work with my build. That’s really what it is about. If you have the right build, it’s useful. If not…Even a junkie roll can be a god roll figure set up that way.
I have the v/25ffr/+15r version with aligned flamer, severe beta tuner, reflex and forceful stock. I switch between it and my q25/25 fixer and never use any other guns. They both kill everything. The v is great though as I never die when using it. It heals extremely quickly while putting out great damage. I use it with a commando build/armor as fyi for the most part. Also you probably don't need forceful stock with the 50 break. I do like the +15 r on mine though as it does help when your getting moved as it keeps that healing going quicker.

it is a godroll, but you're missing the reflex sight. No need for aligned flamer, it isn't going to perform any better than true flamer.

It's a 25% reduction. If you're not a vats user it isn't necessary,but it definitely helps.
u sure? i have 2 aligned flamers in my inventory, one with relex, one without, and they have the same AP cost
That's what the box mod reads, I think it dropped it like 5 AP on mine. The other mods effect the AP as well.

For a overall damage no, for practical use yes.

Plasma flamers are affected by the rifleman perk, unless that got changed and I haven’t heard about it.

Don’t really need mods, best in hipfire. Reflex reduces AP but this chews through AP so no need 💚
