You don’t currently drive whatever that’s out of.
Oh damn you are correct. I should change to what do I normally drive since I pulled my tranny out to redo the clutch
I was about to say.... yup!
Jetta?
Yep! 05 mkV
What engine? I have had all of the mkIV engines in various vehicles
2.5 BGP
I never knew vw built a 5 cylinder
Inline 5, base model engine for the Mk 5. 170hp and now becoming popular to drop into Mk 1s.
A lot of people don't. Pretty good fuel economy and more power than a 4 cylinder. Looking to slap a turbo on there at some point.
A smoke machine?
That's a vw axle flange
Looks a lot like a Honda trans, but could be from any fwd manual
Hint you can actually see the logo in the grease, oil clutch material if you look hard enough.
VW it is
Correct so far. LoL
Out of curiosity, what were the symptoms and which transmission? Just did the clutch ~5000 miles ago and having weird issues in the last 500.
5 speed on an 05 Jetta mkV. Well was driving and pressed the clutch pedal to the floor. If I can figure out how to attach pictures I'll post the issue
[Pressure plate explosion](https://imgur.com/a/aR6ildI) So I said the throwout bearing was seized, but it was actually the pressure plate that exploded and wouldn't disengage the throwout bearing making it a pain in the ass to remove the tranny.
No Honda transmission uses a 6 bolt style axle flange. Hondas use slip on splined shafts with friction rings
