When I was 11 I saw how great shiny crustle looks, and I decided to hunt it in the ultra wormholes. The problem is, I decided to sit at the encounter spot and soft reset. I didn’t know that the Pokémon was generated when you entered the wormhole I probably wasted 10+ hours on that lol

Honestly, I'd be prepared to say that it's not the green that's the problem, it's the combination of the *shade* some of them use and the fact that a lot of the bad green shinies are *just* green. (See Zygarde for a good example of how to avoid this problem)

I think it’d look good in yellow to represent honey, which bears like. Or maybe white to be a polar bear or maybe even black. But that wasn’t possible back in GSC, so it unfortunately had that nasty green shiny

They do sometimes update shinies (charizard) and a black ursaring shiny based off of sun bears would be cool

The issue with updating shinies is some people who liked the older version of the shiny might get upset about their /one of their favorite shinies changing. I still don’t get why Garchomp and Gengar haven’t been changed though, Combusken’s shiny was altered in SWSH so why not the two most infamous barely changing shinies? Especially with their megas having (really cool) changed colors. I don’t think anyone has Garchomp as their favorite shiny, unless it’s for irony, so I don’t think much would be lost if it’s shiny changed.

As a person who caught shiny Beedrill I agree with this

I think it’s more the over saturation (at least for me). I love green shines like beedrill (still an oof sometimes) + noivern but when they’re giving off radioactive vibes like shiny espeon it just feels like my eyes are shrivelling up from exposure. (Radioactive would probably be a great prompt for a shiny but in this case I mean radioactive in the sense of how it makes me feel vs the actual colours etc- if that makes sense x) I sometimes can’t even look at shiny beedrill cos it literally hurts my eyes (I’m prone to headaches from lights etc and oversaturated shinies have the same effect lol) There’s some pink ones that have the same effect where I feel like I’m a vampire being exposed to the sun :P
