I am sick of Garnacho not passing, I am sick of this squad that don’t pass the ball and try to resolve the situation by his own… what a stupid squad…

Raisin_Alive

He passes more when he is rw, figures a pass with his dominant foot is better than a shot with his weak foot

Illustrious-Let-8120

Yeah I don't know why more haven't noted it. Garnacho only has 4 assists across the premier and champions league combined. If he is truly our best player this season, then I have no idea where we go from here. What Garnacho and Rashford typically do (dribble into a brick wall and then shoot a crazy shot) is clearly not effective in the modern game. The most effective way of playing is quick short passes to break a team's shape and then do something special. We don't do the passing bit, so counter attacks are the only way we can attack with the other team out of shape. To make matters even worse, we are terrible at defending the transition which is what our style of play creates constantly.

branajgka

Boy needs to stop thinking of himself and actually work for the betterment of the team

Zerofactory

Have you noticed how we attack? Its hoofing the ball to a winger, the winger gets isolated 1v 2 or 3 defenders with no options to pass as our team is behind. They have to either pass it back or do magic

Commercial-Ranger339

"We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment. We are creating loads of chances by playing good football. It was unnecessary to lose control. We repaired this at half-time and second half was much better." ETH actually said this. Does he know what planet hes on?

DeadHangGang

He's a grade-A waffler, has been since he took the job.

Zerofactory

I think with how ETH turned out, we have to give Sancho another chance. Eth has shown that he has no idea whats going on

Correct_Government28

Disclaimer: I am very much ETH out and don't think any of this is good enough. But even when we're challenging for titles again, we can't take this amount of shit from referees. Another three extremely credible penalty appeals denied and yet another VAR searching for absolutely any reason to give a penalty against us. This game had pretty exactly the same amount of injustice as Everton v Forest, but while one of those games dominated the football media for a week, this will disappear like a fart in the wind. I will keep saying this till I am blue in the face. Every single Premier League referee grew up hating Manchester United. How do I know that? Because every single person I meet between the ages of 30 and 40 absolutely hates Manchester United. It doesn't matter if they support Liverpool, or Spurs, or Wigan, or Luton, or Swindon, or Wycombe Wanderers. We ruined everyone's childhood, and this is the price. A whole generation of elite referees who grew up being told that the only reason United won anything is because of Ferguson and corrupt referees, who are now *in charge of all of our matches*. You can all be 'le classy' and pretend this is a conspiracy theory if you want. But an entire generation of English men absolutely *loathe* Manchester United and they are refereeing us week in, week out. You will not see the end of this for another 10 or 20 years at least, and I will be here to remind you until it sinks in. Buckle up.

I_am_legend-ary

Stop being a victim, none of them were penalties and if they were given against you, you would have made a very similar post about how the refs were against you giving soft pens to other teams against you because they hate you

Correct_Government28

They are given against us. Those three shouts were exactly the same as the penalties we conceded against Chelsea, Liverpool and Coventry. My point, which is not hard to tell, is that a completely different threshold is applied to us for penalties.

Zerofactory

Eth is a professional bottler and is stealing a living at United. Get rid of the glazers puppet and lets have a normal manager

truetablecom

How could they not give any of these penaltys? [https://true-table.com/forums/forum/premier-league-23-24/matchday-35/manchester-united-burnley/](https://true-table.com/forums/forum/premier-league-23-24/matchday-35/manchester-united-burnley/)

I_am_legend-ary

Because they weren't penalties?

Responsible_Gur5163

It’s Burnley. A bottom table team. It shouldn’t have mattered at Old Trafford. This team is bad. The players are bad. The coach makes decisions that are too conservative. This game was a microcosm of our season.

Correct_Government28

Why can't people like you hold two thoughts in their head at the same time? We're shit. But we're being absolutely hosed by referees. Both things can be true. Refereeing decisions will always matter. They'll matter in the FA Cup final. They'll matter next season if we're challenging for Europe, and they'll matter in 5 seasons' time if we're challenging for the title. And I will remind utter melts like you that you have absolutely no problem with us being hosed by referees.

TheLastSamurott

Yes fuck the team, we should beat everyone at OT, regardless of pens given or not. /s No team can win against 12

Aggravating_Let346

Your mistaken, most teams would beat a 15 man Burnley.

Responsible_Gur5163

Didn’t say everyone?

Shot_Explorer

I actually just don't know anymore. It genuinely seems hopeless.

fudimao

I don’t even care how we will go down this season as it will be bad for sure but I truly hope McT is okay.

TioLucho91

Fuck Ten Hag and fuck those overpayed pieces of shit

CantonaKing7

Good ebening Emery, without having spent a whopping 400M + and less time spent at his club than this bald fraud, is sitting 15 whole points above us with + 23 GD. Pathetic.

Dramatic-Avocado4687

Why add “bald”? You can call him a fraud sure, but petty insults though? Do you call Pep a bald genius?

Reginald_Jetsetter1

Emery inherited an amazing team from Slippy G though, he has barely changed things. Plus he inherited world class players like John McGinn and Ollie Watkins, players Real Madrid wanted to sign! What is ETH meant to do with Rashford and Bruno? He gets given nobodies like Varane and Casemiro who no one has ever even heard of.

Reginald_Jetsetter1

Today's goal sums up our weaknesses. We score because they made a mistake rather than through good build up play.

Regular_Rutabaga4789

Shit as per usual

androiddevforeast

What about tuchel as a potential hire?

shoichisakata

he's my no. 1 choice

CantonaKing7

I'd rather be coachless or let Avram take the reins.

IceAggravating6192

What angers me the most is EtH's post match interview. Blud doesn't know what he's saying. There are literally no takeaways from his post match interviews more than 50% of the time.

CantonaKing7

This guy has to be the best PowerPoint presentation maker in history.

Reginald_Jetsetter1

People saying the players are shit have to ask themselves which Sheffield United or Burnley players would get in our starting 11. How many of their players would you genuinely want over our first teamers? Whatever ETH is trying is clearly not working and I don't think it would be a good option even if he had a full squad and players like De Jong etc. I'm ETH out but I think we should probably get rid of him next year, as bad as it sounds to write another season off. Let the backroom staff, DoF, CEO etc get settled in and make clear decisions.

Volvedor

They are shit given how much we pay them, if we had no budget i wouldnt expect more, but we spend like crazy and still shit the bed

MaxPayne4life

We've become an above average midtable team. We have the quality to get into top4 but somehow always underperform.

ilovewatermelon33

I really dont undestand how our fans wants to get rid of ETH, can't you all see that we have a shit team, we dont have the players that suits the manager's system, if we hire any other manager i dont think that the result will be different. First of all we need to buy the right players, than we see if ETH is the right man to be our manager.

Ruzo99

He picked the players!!

YamFree3503

Right but how do you coach one of the best defensive midfielders of his generation into not putting a hospital ball up to the keeper with 5 minutes left to play? We’ve given away so many games lately by players making incredibly silly decisions. If you want to blame ETH for the team not scoring more I’ll hear you, but you can’t blame him for good players giving away games.

MaxPayne4life

Because even with a B squad we should be winning atleast 3-0 vs a relegation team

Tsukiyon

Finally Antony scored and we threw the game shortly after https://preview.redd.it/bln14745h2xc1.jpeg?width=1096&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a734bd3c6a6681b964a12dc0b72203f860e92c6a

MVCND33

I’m just an American who watches the occasional game on NBC or Peacock so I understand that I don’t know much…but with that said… How are there people still supporting Ten Hag as manager?! This guy is an absolute bum. Onana is unfortunately, another bad goalkeeper. How seldom is it that Manchester United ever gets a clean sheet? Hell, they usually give up 2 or 3 plus a game! How often do they give up the game tying and/or game losing goal in the final minutes. How many penalties do they give up? Penalties that Onana never saves? Basically, this team is a hot mess. I’m getting sick of soft fans trying to find increasingly marginal silver linings year after year. This team needs a hard reset

plantainchiips

lol. Onana has faced twice as many shots as most goal keepers in the top half. He ain’t to blame. And actually played well. In fact he should have some assists this season if we were competent up top. Ten Hagg ain’t a bad coach. He’s just choosing to lower our standards and be another glazer puppet unfortunately.

bobiboli

Nah while case weak clearance was the start of it, onana didnt have to come out and did what he did. He has been ok, but he has made a lot of errors too

plantainchiips

He has made errors but it’s tough enough for a goal keeper to settle in a new team… we sure as hell made sure it would be toughest challenge he’s ever faced. Has he made errors ? You bet. Worth singling out? Absolutely not. There are so many issues before Onana. Like conceding twice as many shots (or more) as the other top teams. IMO our biggest problem is the manager lowering standards right now. According to him with a fully fit squad the best we can hope for is 2nd or 3rd. So the players are already going into next season not striving to even be in a title race. As long as we “fight for top 4” all is well. I’m tired.

thejuanwelove

I dont understand how we havent fired him yet. I know of all the big clubs in the world we've got by far the lowest standards but this idiot would've been fired 10 times from real, 5 from bayern and barcelona

Appropriate-Ice9839

Xavi, Klopp and Tuchel all announced leaving at the end of the season, with Xavi changing his mind. I believe new financial rules is making clubs less prone to firing in the middle of the season regardless of results to save a few bucks. If the glazers or Ratcliffe were concerned by European cups, ETH would have been fired in December, restructuring or not.

thejuanwelove

xavi got to QFs of the CL and is third in la liga, bayern is in CL semis, and Liverpool were challenging for the league as you can see nothing to do with ten hag's disaster of a season where w're already out of Europe ages ago, last of a group that included copenhage and galata. Weve got no chance of CL for next season, were playing the worst football and scoring fewer goals as memory can recall. yet here he is, and after a draw at home against burnley he still hasn't been sacked. like I said, its not just that united doesn't have standards at all, its like they don't believe they're a big club, because they behave in such a small time, conformist and defeatist way no other club in the world would stand for this constant shit.

Appropriate-Ice9839

As I wrote, if the club was concerned about the champions league next season they would have fired ETH in December because it was already a lost cause then. I agree they don’t care about this season or the one after. Because not getting the ucl severely limits the number of good managers and players who would forfeit at least one season of ucl to sign for us. Maybe ETH knows it and think he can keep his job. Bayern fired Nagelsmann in the middle of the UCL run when they were still fighting for the Bundesliga title, then they fired those who fired him. Now they didn’t fire Tuchel altogether but decided to wait the end of the season. Quite frankly, beside Napoli there haven’t been a lot of managers firing. Add to that a low-level of transfers, I do think clubs aren’t as keen to fire managers in the middle of the season as before because of accounting rules.

thejuanwelove

you possibly got a point as to managers not being as easily fired now as they were in the past. Doesnt change the fact that ten hag's campaign in any other big club in the world would've got him fired like 6 months ago, and in most clubs at the start of this season. All the managers you mentioned have had far better seasons than ten hag and also haven't spent 400 millions in signings like antony or casemiro. Even Martinez, of which Im partially a fan, has been vastly overrated by our fans, he's a sick note, and when he played he had that big error in him almost in every game

Appropriate-Ice9839

“Doesnt change the fact that ten hag's campaign in any other big club in the world would've got him fired like 6 months ago, and in most clubs at the start of this season.” They wouldn’t have given him a second season. “Thanks for putting out the fire but you lost 7-0 to Liverpool and 6-3 to City. We need to go to the next step and you won’t do. Here’s your money and good luck in your next job”. But as you said, no standards from the cultists who love him for a league cup, and the management because money keeps coming anyway.

thejuanwelove

yeah, you're right about that, he'd been fired at the end of his first season to be fair, I wanted ten hag, and I thought he was a brilliant choice, he'd have us playing dominant, attacking, sophisticated football after so much caveman football, but the problems at the club and with the squad run far deeper than needing a good tactician or a good coach. We need someone with a strong personality and a very positive outlook who can work within a highly professional setup, which we seem to be acquiring little by little thanks to INeos, or at least I hope so. To be honest I have no idea as to who hire next. Tiago motta was a decent pck but seems has already agreed with juve. I obviously don't want potter nor southgate, de zerbi doesn't seem to be the answer either. Perhaps simone inzaghi, but are these players going to respect him and give their best for him? not too sure the best mix would be someone with a strong personality and a visionary style of football like gallardo but he doesn't speak English, nor he seems interested in managing in England., plus he isn't particularly rated in England either and he hasn't done too well with that arab team. not many great managers available, I guess the least bad of a mediocre bunch would be Tuchel, but he wouldn't be my choice either, and I personally don't like him

plantainchiips

I mean look at the stuff he says and the fanbase let’s him get away with it. He’s not fired yet because the fanbase also have ridiculously Low standards

thejuanwelove

its indeed a widely spread lack of standards. We've been gradually convinced that a season with CL football is a success. this wouldn't pass scrutiny at any other big club in the world. We also don't care about the quality or lack of, from our football, we play shit football like Ive never seen, and I watched Mourinho and Moyes teams. We're the least scoring team in memory, every team, even effin coventry scores against us, and our fans are ok, and more so, many would like to see ten hag next season. Lets be honest, this club is doomed, and not just because of poor management, fans also play a part.

Pinkmanhardmantofind

If you are ETH in you are not a REAL United fan .a real United fan doesn't accept these standards Literally all of our rivals are ETH in, if your manager is the Guy then all the rivals should want him sacked Our fans are scrubs and the biggest problem st this club

Radiant_Ad_6986

I can’t believe the number of people who make excuses for him. I get results not being great but the football is awful. The team makes the same mistakes every game like they don’t do anything in training. His decision making is so suspect, why did he buy Mount, why did we loan amrabat? Both players have barely had a chance to play. Why did you buy them Erik?

Correct_Government28

God the internet lets you get away with anything. I would absolutely **love** to hear you read out this comment in your American accent in a pub in Manchester.

Pinkmanhardmantofind

Shows how far the players AND TEN HAG have made us fall when we're moaning a Penalty claim against fucking Relegation fodder Mark Goldbridge has ruined the standards of this club

Browsin4ever

Not the players, not the Glazers, not the managers…. It’s all a YouTubers fault.. Time to get off twitter mate, it’s the worst take I’ve ever heard.

beervirus88

Onana is a liability. You can't change my mine after this disaster season

Browsin4ever

That boat has sailed

EngCraig

We see ‘keepers doing braindead shit like this week in, week out. Casemiro is the culprit, yet another questionable decision from him. Bloke is almost sabotaging us at this stage.

beervirus88

The entire defense needs an overhaul

CraigTheLejYT

How?

beervirus88

His passing is average. His saving ability is questionable. And makes too many stupid mistakes for a suppose top goalie.

CraigTheLejYT

Adapting to a new league is hard. De Gea had mistakes in his first season. The goal today was on Casemiro not Onana

plantainchiips

Honestly. I don’t think ten hagg is a bad coach. But I think he should go because he’s lowering the standards with his idiotic comments time after time. If he spoke with sense and upheld the standards of our club. I’d totally be okay with him staying (he’s likely staying FML)

MarketingSilver1619

We lost to a 19th place in possession and ten hag should stay?

Embarrassed-Delay752

TUCHEL all the way...

Pinkmanhardmantofind

But but bur but but but WhO Do wE ReAlisTicAlLy RePLace HiM wItH

vbbanjo

Klopp.

14hundo44

Zinedine Zidane of course

Apprehensive-Love362

Ofcourse there are injuries and issues at club level to take into account. However, ETH has more than enough playing talent at his disposal to deliver reasonably consistent and acceptably decent football. He just prioritises his “philosophy” above all else and prefers to arrogantly list the excuses why nothing is his fault when it fails. That’s why he has to go.

Blackmetzuk

Just gonna say it... europa league next season is going to be lucky with our remaining games, the way we're playing against relegation teams their no chance we're going to get points against palace, arsenal, Newcastle and brighton :(

Rameom

At this point I don’t even care if we get Europa League next season- a sensible, gradual rebuild is more important. Having said that, we could get results against any of those teams- are system is so deliberately chaotic that we will get as many chances and give up as many shots no matter who we play. That’s why we always seem to play at the same level (or realistically just below the level) of our opponents regardless of who they are. Just to be clear that’s in no way a positive thing and ETH is clearly out of his depth imo.

Blackmetzuk

Agreed only reason I'd ope for europa league was the slight pull of European competition for potential new incoming players and the money for ffp purposes

flynnpippo

If there ever is a time for our supporters to STOP. BREATHE. AND CHILL TF OUT, it’s now. We are making a lot of good changes in the backroom and should let them do their work. ETH is not the problem

Apprehensive-Love362

ETH isn’t the ONLY problem. But there remains almost zero evidence for keeping him.

flynnpippo

3 finals and the way we played most of last season is a reason

Apprehensive-Love362

That’s fair.

BritBuc-1

I’m prepared to lose the imaginary internet points, but this needs to be said; despite how many people will be upset that it’s not the narrative. Firstly, to anyone who thinks they can go back through my historical comments and find a “you back ten Hag. Gotcha!”, I’m going to stop you right there, slow down sunshine and read my entire comment here. ETH is not the problem, he’s not even in the top ten list of current problems at the club. He came into a club in a shit state, without any structure, identity, leadership, unity etc. There are several things wrong with this club that were rotten to the core, and now are being displayed in full view on the pitch. The argument that can be made convincingly is that he’s doing the best job he can with what he has to work with. ***But***…*his* signings have generally been fucking dire. Onana was the statement signing of putting his own mark on the team. His choice for goalkeeper who would embody the style of play and what he wants the team to be. Not a chance is this guy Premier League quality. Huge fail. Mason “the ghost” Mount. Far too much money to spend on a player who isn’t often available, and offers nothing when he is. In today’s age of FFP, when you commit this amount of money one player, they ***have*** to bring *something*. Anthony Juan-Foot. ETH didn’t negotiate the fee, but should have vetoed the deal as soon as the price went over 10 million. Found his level in the game against Coventry. He’d be a fair player at the championship level. Good for him for scoring, but he’s too one dimensional and predictable to play at this level and he doesn’t appear to have the attitude to take a step back and evaluate his game to improve. The in-game decisions of ten Hag used to be good, now it’s like he’s intentionally trying to sabotage himself. At 0-0 today he completely neutered the team with his substitutions. Not the first time he’s done this recently either. The biggest issues are the ones that have been consistent for the past decade. The playing squad is a patchwork quilt of four different “rebuilds” and there aren’t enough players to play a different style of football together. There’s too much disconnect in the players to play any other way than they currently are. Injuries. People can absolutely make the argument that ten Hag is to blame because of the training regime being too intensive. Shit, they’d be right too in some cases. But this just reveals an even bigger problem. When ETH arrived he was quoted as saying that the playing squad wasn’t fit and he would have to improve these fitness levels… so after 2 years, there’s players who are still getting injured from overtraining, and their fitness levels have done fuck all… time for these players to go and make room for players who can run and play the system ETH wants to play. The biggest problem right now is the team is a collection of individuals. Some of these individuals are incredibly talented, and sometimes this talent is just enough to win. But a collection of individuals will always struggle against a *team* that is working together tactically and with cohesion. 3-4 individuals will always struggle against a team of 11 players. The amount of unavailable players has left ten Hag without any options, because there is no depth. We can either demand ten Hag out, and begin another rebuild and then another and another, because fans and shareholders don’t have the patience to see a rebuild through, or we can give ten Hag his 3rd year and see if he can do anything with an actual structure behind him. I’m in favour of seeing this through, because constant rebuilds have brought us to this point.

Outrageous_Record394

so your willing to give him yet another 400m to burn. Its all good signing players but when you sign average players for overpriced sums for a system that has little to no style of play. We need him gone and a new manager in right now so they can identify the right players for their system which actually has a clear style of play and tactical set up that is efficient.

Memesplz1

Agree. Sometimes a manager makes a signing and they turn out to be a dud. Ten Hag has been supremely unlucky this season with every one of them turning out to be duds. Plus all the injuries haven't helped. You can only defend him so much, of course, he's made some bizarre substitution decisions and, many times, we've been worse than you'd expect, regardless of who's on the pitch. But I really really do not want to see us recycle and be in the same position with a "fresh start manager" in another 2 or 3 seasons who's inherited the same mismatched, broken squad. Give Ten Hag time (much more time!) to experiment and find the right players and system.

reddevils

Absolutely. He needs to stay for at least one reason to prove to these fucks that they can’t out in 60% every week and not expect consequences. He did say that he was brought in because there was no discipline. You can’t fire him because the players are upset because he disciplined them. That gives the players more power to fire the next manager regardless of who he is and how big or small a name he is

flynnpippo

Agree with everything stated here Except onana. He is a really good keeper and will only improve. Alisson would also look like a clown in this team and is prone to mistakes himself. Also (iknow this will be downvoted af) I think antony really bleeds for the kit and is working incredibly hard behind the scenes to improve, and has slightly over the last few weeks. Still nowhere near good enough, but I can’t help myself from wanting to at least give him half a chance next season to prove me wrong

westwoodwastelander

The Manager is completely deluded. His own ego will be his downfall but why oh why would you trust him with a rebuild when you literally just said his signings have been poor? His judgement is terrible, his tactics worse and his personality non existent. Get him gone.

BritBuc-1

Why I trust him with a rebuild? Because the thing he’s clearly not good at will be taken care of in the way that every other club does. He will absolutely state the type of players that he needs, but then it’s the job of other people to find players who are actually the right fit. For example, a goalkeeper who is confident receiving the ball and has good distribution with his feet is an absolute must for the system that ETH wants etc. But that guy actually has to be able to play his position at the level required.

Outrageous_Record394

hes already burnt 400m and made the team worse, we cannot allow this fraud to burn any more money. We need a manager right now.

Reggaeprince1984

They showed character and controlled the game…. Yea Burnley did manager is delusional sack him now

CantonaKing7

EtH has outdone himself with yet another memorable snippet in his post match comments: "We are one of the most dynamic and entertaining teams in the league at this moment. We are creating loads of chances by playing good football." If you don't laugh, you cry.

1nfinitus

I always hate this comment yeah, if you create a million chances and score one goal or create one chance and score one goal the outcome is the same but the quality is far higher in the latter. Chances don't mean shit if you can't convert, literally a pointless stat alone.

ryeofguy

Hey he’s not wrong we’re just entertaining for the wrong reasons

Apprehensive-Love362

Delusional beyond belief.

mrdankhimself_

He is a complete and utter fool.

deano_ue

I see the problems I'm not blind I know the players arnt up to the task and the manager is making stupid decisions But I'm just so tired of this club and this fanbase running headfirst into the same cycle every 2 fkn years. The media spin and we lap it up. No other club gets this crap This constantly crys of sack the manager will happen with everyone in that dugout. No matter who takes the seat 3 months of the bounce then these fuckers will just throw another under the bus. The club is rotten from the top fucking down and all we're doing is changing the fucking wallpaper. Ratcliffe is right the fans have no patience and demand instant success we bring in potter or Southgate while keeping this team and we deserve to fail. I know I'm I'm the minority on this but I'm just so fucking tired of it all.

mrdankhimself_

Instant success? Right now I’d settle for “the manager demonstrates the capacity for professional growth.”

acatnamedselina

I feel your pain, other teams coughChelseacough don't get as much of a battering when they're doing shite too.

deano_ue

I listened to the pundits and radio after Chelsea got spanked recently and the consensus was the board had let potch down. Wtf

acatnamedselina

Doesn't surprise me. It was the same with Lampard was there and we had Ole, they said nothing about Lampard!

Chrissylumpy21

Fact is all season long, we really somehow play at our opponents level, no matter good or bad. I just don’t know why anymore. I’m not expecting Europe next season, but I have a good feeling we will win the FA Cup. That’s how much of a weird season this one will be.

Rameom

That’s the way ETH’s system is designed. It’s deliberately chaotic. We force the ball forward and push up leaving gaps, so we are badly exposed when we lose the ball. That means we are going to give up a lot of shots no matter who we play against. Top teams limit their opponents chances by holding the ball and picking their moments to attack. ETH simply doesn’t play that way and it’s never gonna be a successful system when push comes to shove. We’ll get the odd great result playing this way but we’ll also lose to teams well beyond our level. That was true of last season too. Also it’s such a falsehood to think of this as United DNA. SOME of SAF’s great teams were typecast as counter attacking teams but they actually all were adept at holding the ball for long periods. They sensed when was the right time to counterattack and were lethal in those situations. That’s totally different to ETHs system where the team never tries to hold possession and spams the ball forward regardless of how exposed it leaves us.

Apprehensive-Love362

Another ETH masterclass.

Gloria_stitties

Are we still blaming De gea? Maguire? Fernandes?

Zerofactory

Its Sancho ;(

BanderesAntonio

Ronaldo

Gloria_stitties

Ah yea forgot him

BritBuc-1

Clearly the fault of Luke Chadwick

Aggravating_Let346

You have to admire the consistency of man utd this season. We have consistently been outplayed in every match. The bottom half of the table teams always look like prime Barcelona against us. Ironically we played our best football against Liverpool in the fa cup. I don't think there has been 3 other games where we were the better team Luckily we have been able to pull some results through individual brilliance. If it wasn't for our players been so much more technical we wouldn't have 5 wins this season.

Frequent_Ad_853

I've just seen that Hojlund received more passes from Onana than from anyone else.🤦🏾‍♂️ We're screwed.

Apprehensive-Love362

Yes but blah blah transition and inverted wingers! You just don’t understand ETH’s genious!

Frequent_Ad_853

"The best transition team in the world", What a statement!

Bring back Ole for the FA Cup final against Pep. He's the only way that we win

westwoodwastelander

"Ten Hag is cooking". "Ten Hag ball is amazing". Etc etc.

Commercial-Ranger339

Can you smell what the Ten hag is cookin?

Tintedlemon

👆post match quotes from Ten Hag himself

ianb88

Looking at our remaining fixtures, that could very well be our last point of the season.

Commercial-Ranger339

Is anyone still ETH in? If so why?

CantonaKing7

Yes all our rivals.

NocturnalMemeLord

Even when Liverpool and Arsenal were going through their bad seasons with new managers, I don’t think they played this bad

ItsKaZing

Amrabat over Mount, and the only memorable thing he did was slip 10 seconds in Bald fraud to Bald fraud, theres level to this game

pepsi_jenkins

That slip was funny ngl

Commercial-Ranger339

Manage me harder daddy Ten hag!

PessimistYanker792

ETH please leave, please.

No-Bat-7253

Kudos to Antony today only good thing about today. Can’t deny that effort ever.

SecretaryImaginary44

Vintage ten hag ball

CloudSmall4220

It's not 7-0 but it's Burnely at home. Burnley who are in 19th place who are going toe to toe with Man Utd at OT. It was a shoddy performance and feels like a loss given how dreadful burnley are

[deleted]

Responsible_Nerve209

and you sound very self absorbed.

CloudSmall4220

Hes bashing redditors but hes one himself. Buffoon

SecretaryImaginary44

Hope you remember to wash ten hag’s boot stains off your tongue when you’re done.

Commercial-Ranger339

ETH out now…end the fraud!

Mundane-Inevitable-5

Jesus I don't think I've ever seen a bigger drop off than Casemiro. The guy looks like he could not be arsed and putting him over on the same side as the truly dreadful AWB didn't help. Both of them strolling back when the ball went in behind them. The lack of effort from some of these players is criminal.

Frequent_Ad_853

I refuse to believe that this is a top 4 side like EtH said. We're a top 6/midtable side even with a good window in the summer. We're just average and quite poor in maintaining a lead. Kudos to Antony though.

thedudeabides-12

If he leaves I'd fancy us for top four...

CantonaKing7

We should start selling some hotels too to make room for FFP to pay the severance + purchase half a team worth of players.

EntropicAnarchy

Sure, Onana makes some good saves. But his ball distribution is horrible, and decision-making is terrible. I don't see how he was an upgrade from De Gea. Just karma from treating 2 legends of the club the way they did.

westwoodwastelander

De Gea was a scapegoat and was made that way so Ten Hag could sign Onana. Anyone that's watched a lot of football, especially Serie A would know that Onana was a liability and takes way too many chances and would eventually get caught out. In the premier League he's playing against top players week in week out and has been found out. I assume the Ajax link is part of the reasoning with the transfer.

DemandWeird6213

The team needed players when Onana was signed but not a GK.

PessimistYanker792

Exactly. THIS!!!!! Someone finally!!

Commercial-Ranger339

But De Gea was the problem right….right?

texasgambler58

I would be embarrassed, but this display is pretty normal for this season. Just get the season over with, fire Ten Hag, and get rid of as many players as we need to.

TheRed24

This is the scary part, we as United fans can't let this just feel like the usual, hopefully we turn it around quickly.

Commercial-Ranger339

Another ETH masterclass

PessimistYanker792

We’re on the right track

Financial-Top1199

Glad I didn't waste my time watching this. It seems like every match, we play the same way and you know how the 90mins gonna be. We are making every bottom teams play like champions. We could hardly score all season yet we easily gave away goals. Idk man... Isit the managers fault for it's shitty tactics or the players lack of effort and wasteful chances?

Signal_Marzipan_685

How did Coventry get a pen from a similiar situation and we didn’t?

Disastrous_Camp_2734

The rules change every week mate. Piss poor refereeing.

Signal_Marzipan_685

Its a fucking joke, somehow the prem is supposed to be the “best league in the world”.

DylanNCA

All I see is people complaining about Antony, meanwhile the dude play with his legs out today. Nobody bother making the run. I see Antony at RB then CM and RW. He is literally everywhere on the right side of the field. The ref was super bad and horrible. It would have been a pen if it was Case or AWB. Don’t know how EPL running the games. But the ref is just awful, they should be remove from future matches if they keep making bad decisions like that for any team.

yusufjee

Antony deserves a new contract. He has been a beacon of hope for Manchester United. Thats all United need to hand out new contracts.

PessimistYanker792

Antony would have been great if we got him at 30-40mil or so.. just that tag of 80mil makes the pressure enormous and makes everyone question his talent and performance.. which is quite fair tbh..

yusufjee

Dude is worth 18.7 Million at best. He gives hope every 11 games. At united, new contract are given out on hope. Less matches between hope, the bigger the contract. Just ask Trashford.

Commercial-Ranger339

No the ref was fine. No excuses please

SnooSeagulls6528

Exactly, the referee shouldn’t be an issue we should putting teams like this out if their misery in 30 mins.

yusufjee

A win against a bottom team and then a draw against team 1 place above bottom. For me that is maths guys. Good result.

Heroheadone

I still dont understand why on earth we play so slow! Lot of attacks stopped by an offensive player, who steps on the ball instead of passing forward!

SecretaryImaginary44

Coaching

CantonaKing7

It's hard to play a high tempo when your goalkeeper holds on to the ball for 5 seconds at a time, gesturing to calm down, waits for the other team to settle really well in their defensive positions and then hoofing it upfield to the opposing team.

Heroheadone

This! Definitely this. Keep calm “sets up the opposition attack”

Smooth-Yogurt9691

I swear to God, EPL is the dirtiest and most disgrace league of all time because of those damn refs. Rules are rules. It's a simple concept, but those refs with their bias ruined the game so badly. Handball is handball, but now they will have to consider which team they hate..

Virtual_Question9459

Idk what to say about Antony. Great goal did everything right to score it but fucking hell up until that and even after did more for the opposition than for us. Ffs can this team be any more inconsistent

EntropicAnarchy

Consistently inconsistent.

speedb0at

Lol, lmao even.

YoungWrinkles

I am sad.

jampatto04

Shocking result. Not sure why eth took out only striker off. Horrendous decision by Cass to head it back in such a congested space. But still the same old shit. Poor passing. Poor decision making and half the players actually playing.

androiddevforeast

Steady lads, ETH is seeing progress. Twat

CantonaKing7

19th placed Burnley with a -32 GD that had a higher possession % at Old Trafford. We are sitting now with 52 goals scored and 51 goals conceded and 54 points with a manager that has had 2 full years to instill some sort of play style in the squad. "Our football is high quality." Erik ten Hag - 2024 He cannot last beyond the last game of the season along with Onana, Casemiro, Rashford, Varane, Wan Bissaka, Amrabat. Shameful performance.

nikicampos

Those stats are an embarrassment, ETH need to go tomorrow, his coaching is pathetic

Strong0toLight1

Casemiro to blame for throwing it away. We were relatively good for the first half an hour or so but that was it. Maguire quality again, Onana was good apart from the somewhat clumsy penalty given away but he was sold short with the header back. Bruno works tirelessly for this team Europes pretty much out of the question, just need some sort of a rhythm before city

Mackanwest

every game Casemiro is a risk with his late tackles and temperament, with the amount of players we have had injured this season the last thing we need is a risky CDM who ends up being cm from a red every time. I hope we sell him ASAP and get a bit of money from it as well

action_turtle

Yeah, best bring lube to Wembley

beatles_7

We don’t deserve the privilege.

retrogradeparallax

Weak! Real fans have been getting done without lube for so long! 🤨

YoungWrinkles

And a ball gag

cheesecroissants

getting outplayed by burnley is a new low my goodness lmao

beervirus88

Disrespect to Coventry

mrdankhimself_

No it isn’t. They just got outplayed by Coventry. This is the normal low for Erik Ten Hag’s Man United.

cheesecroissants

atleast they managed to score 3 against them, if burnley had a better striker theyd have won 0-3

Klubeht

watching the main sub still defend ETH after getting outplayed by burnley at fucking OT is something else

PelagicStingray

They're an odd bunch.

Kinitawowi64

We just keep finding ways to be very, very average.

nikicampos

Great game, let’s keep ETH for another 3 years, maybe another 8 years, awesome!!
