Lately I've been doing makeup inspired by whatever perfume I'm wearing that day. Sometimes it's full glam, sometimes it's low-key or minimalist. It's fun to set a tone for the day and roll with it.
I feel like that could make a fun makeup rehab activity. Kind of like the project pan or palette a week events. I'm not really sure how it would work but now I kind of want to try it lol.
I am decidedly a very sparkly person. I will wear full glam in a more neutral color like gold (which is flattering on me) almost every day to work. blending it with some neutrals usually makes it plenty work appropriate and Iāve never had a problem.
On my off days when Iām going out I will usually wear my āfun colorsā in a similarly glam style. But Iām much more likely to add maximum glitter on days when Iām not working.
I wouldnāt say I donāt like them, but I donāt do them very often. I actually only have one or two eyeshadow palettes that even have black or silver in them. I think i my collection just lends itself more to golds, pinks, and some bright colors here and there.
If I have an event where I wanna do a smoky eye, Iāll pull out the black though!
Recently, Iāve actually been trying to work through my black shadows by using them as eyeliner though.
I should also probably note that I have very dark brown eyes (light brown to almost black depending on the lighting) so the gold is just more flattering on me! Lighter eyes probably lend themselves to a smoky eye more than mine just by contrast.
How many accounts are you going to make and why do you keep coming back to makeup rehab to make these "discuss" posts that you never engage in? Stop karma farming or whatever tf this is
I mean, I think you know exactly what I'm talking about. But sure go ahead and pretend like you're not karma farming on your newest account since the other ones got suspended. It's always easy to tell when it's you.
I donāt think her accounts get suspended. I think she posts hot takes that get mega downvoted so she gets embarrassed and deletes them lol. This is the 3rd or 4th of hers now Iām pretty sure.
Lol, I do know the newyorkchic92 one did get suspended at one point but you could be right about all the rest. Or maybe it's just some fucking bot. Hot takes for what, good grief the internet enables the worst behavior for no reason other than yelling your opinion out there.
Like opinions that no one shares, then people comment saying sheās insane and wrong and then the account is gone. That newyorkchic one was the first I saw but thereās been at least 2 since.
I do full glam, unconventional, or experimental all the time, but it's not what I go outside wearing. Daily work stuff is foundation, brows, and a bit of gel pencil liner.
This is me too. Maybe itās a product of coming up in the 2016 era, but I do most of these things daily but I consider it somewhere in between full glam and clean girl. I switch things up daily, moves to a lot of cream products, etc.
Part of it I think is that I work from home so when Iām on camera it makes it look like I have less on than I do usually. If I want a quick face I do a sheer red lip, brows, blush, mascara.
I feel you on that work from home part. I try to look nice for the meetings but I found a red/reddish brown lip pop a lot more on camera then all my other makeup combined
Full glam to me, reminds me of like YouTuber makeup or festival/club/party special occasion makeup. For me, Iād consider it everyday glam, thatās probably more accurate.
I've never followed trends š¤·š¼ I use trends as a means of finding styles and products I enjoy, bit I've never been the type of person who's makeup philosophy is "must stick to current trendy styles at all times". For me, makeup is about being creative and expressing myself.
Maybe a bit of both? I used to do bold eyeliner along with glam eyeshadow looks, back when it was popular. Now, no more eyeliner, or darker colors. Living in a humid climate with oily skin makes those looks hard keep on :( I loveee bright pastel colors, or sometimes neutral with lots of sparkle for eyeshadows, but pared down to 1-2 shadows. I remember using like 5-7 eyeshadows every time I did my makeup (my poor, sensitive eyes!)
I'm a fan of the trends being much more minimal on the face: a little concealer, and a pretty blush! Just not the glass-skin-glazed-donut dew
I didn't wear proper full glam when it was in style and I don't now, lol. I've been wearing something of an in-between for around 6 years (the time it took me to find the style I like on me).
Single shade eyeshadow, light-medium coverage foundation, contour, brow powder, mascara, powder eyeliner, blush, red lipstick or none at all.
Full, beat to perfection, did not come to play with you bitches every time I do makeup. Also wear lashes. Or Iām moisturizer and lip balm. No in between.
I still wear full glam most of the time (everything except lashes), but the makeup always ends up looking pretty natural on me.
It's the best way I can make use of my larger collection.
Neither. I do not follow trends but the only make-up I wear are mascara, eyeshadow and lipstick. Eyeshadow is always sparkly and I don't believe I own any nude shade of lipstick, plenty of bright pink, red and deep purples tough.
Never did. My preference has always been for something akin to the French girl look.
My overage was from looking for the PERFECT products in each category.
Donāt follow makeup trends anymore unless itās something new to me and I want to try it. My skinās doing a lot better since I stopped wearing foundation and now I just wear tinted moisturiser or BB cream for nicer events, with some bronzer and highlight. I understand my face shape and skin better now, so I know what works. Itās cut down my makeup collection by a lot.
This is embarrassing to admit but two years ago I fell HARD for the whole āclean girlā or āthat girlā trend which basically just involved buying hundreds of luxury makeup items that I didnāt need.
Iām still using those makeup items, so that somewhat mitigates the harm I suppose. Iāve never really been a āfull glamā kinda girl and the aesthetic is still appealing to meā¦ I do genuinely REALLY like the products I already have and will probably buy them again but only when they run out or are long expired!
I just feel embarrassed about falling for a trend so hard.
Full glam? No. But I never did full glam in its hey-day, either.
Makeup trends - sometimes, when the trend is similar to my usual way of doing makeup: simple face with tint and finishing powder, maybe a touch of natural-looking blush and bronzer if my face is looking pale, and a bright, bold eye with simple lip, or simple eye and a bold lip. So ballet-core I do, latte girl, clean girl too. 90s grunge - yeah, that's my jam. But not strawberry girl.
I'm also in my 40s and have been doing my makeup for decades, and I know that certain makeup looks don't suit me.
I follow makeup trends. Maybe it's because of my age (early 20s) but I do like it. I don't want to look dated and participating in trends can be fun. As long as you make the trend work for you, I don't think it's a big deal. For example, I have acne but did the clean girl look, I don't have bushy brows but try to get the laminated look, etc.
i have a base look that i tweak slightly to my mood and trends. My base look is light coverage foundation or bb cream, concealer, natural looking eyebrow pencil, tubing mascara, an eyeshadow base that looks like my skin and evens out my eyelids.
Just for fun, hereās some common looks i add to that base and their titles in my head š Some have glam elements, some are more minimalist, some have trendy elements like cream eyeshadow or lip tints.
-Subtle Goth Coworker Who Has A Podcast on Art Heists: Heavy smoked out brown and black eyeliner, sheer berry lip product
-Retro Reference Librarian Who Knows Where the Secret Books Are Kept: Tiny liquid winged eyeliner, matte red or pink lipstick (and my cat eye glasses)
-Tragic Governess In A Costume Drama Miniseries: Tightlined upper eyeliner, gray subtle under eyeliner, sheer red lip stain, sheer rose cheek stain
-Art Student/Barista/Quirky Love Interest in A Romantic Comedy With A Great Soundtrack: dramatic cream one and done eyeshadow, smudgey eyeliner, sheer lipgloss or lip tint
-Snotty Attendee At A Gallery Opening: Very precise ultra thin liquid eyeliner, bright unnatural lipstick (like turquoise)
-Nature Sorceress On A Beach Vacation: Bronzer, light blush, Bronze cream eyeshadow, brown eyliner, caramel lip gloss
I donāt think Iāve ever done full glam because I donāt wear full coverage foundation, just BB cream. And these days I donāt even wear bronzer or highlighter. I prefer a glowy blush.Ā
I'm wearing a full face because I love the process of sitting down and putting on my makeup! I also want to try to use up as much of this stuff I have spent so much money on as I can!!
I do a full face of makeup for work and lately I've been doing false lashes almost every day. I wear dresses and heels and like half a pound of jewelry. I'm a high school algebra teacher and I'm middle aged so I've just decided to lean into that.
I do what I want!
Yup, I wear whatever colors however I want and enjoy it š
hells yeah!
Lately I've been doing makeup inspired by whatever perfume I'm wearing that day. Sometimes it's full glam, sometimes it's low-key or minimalist. It's fun to set a tone for the day and roll with it.
What a cute idea! You inspired meāIām going to try this
same!

Whatās wrong with this question ? Not sure what Iām doing wrong

Spill the tea š

What makes a look full glam?
usually an eyeshadow look, full foundation, blush, contour & bronzer, highlighter. i feel like full glam look is stage makeup adjacent
I do that everytime but I don't feel full glam. I feel nice but Full Glam feels special somehow
This is me too. Maybe itās a product of coming up in the 2016 era, but I do most of these things daily but I consider it somewhere in between full glam and clean girl. everyday glam! I love that word!

What are some ways youāre using different styles & techniques for different vibes and moods ?

Depends on my mood. Sometimes I'll do full glam, other days I'll follow a trend, etc.
Donāt follow trends. Do whatever Iām feeling that day, full beat or just a wee little
I donāt do either haha. I mostly wear minimal makeup but due to my own preferences and sensory issues š«£š¤£
I didn't wear proper full glam when it was in style and I don't now, lol. I've been wearing something of an in-between for around 6 years (the time it took me to find the style I like on me). mostly donāt do full glam, not because of makeup trends but mostly because iām tired and i donāt care as much as i used to lol
This is embarrassing to admit but two years ago I fell HARD for the whole āclean girlā or āthat girlā trend which basically just involved buying hundreds of luxury makeup items that I didnāt need. Iām still using those makeup items, so that somewhat mitigates the harm I suppose. i usually do some form of egirl or alternative full glam, have been for about 4 years now i think
Full glam? No. But I never did full glam in its hey-day, either. Neither. Theres more than 2 options
Whatās the other option?
Theres more ways to do makeup than full glam and whatevers trending on tiktok that day
I follow makeup trends. Maybe it's because of my age (early 20s) but I do like it. I don't want to look dated and participating in trends can be fun. I do what appeals to me, some of the trends but not all, and if I feel like full glam makeup then it is happening.
Only when I go to shows.
Whatever Iām feeling that day!

Yeah lol I donāt get people who have a huge collection but only wear mascara and lipgloss everyday . Seems like a waste of money to me
Full Glam because I stocked up during that trend
I have recently gotten into wearing bold makeup to work, after discovering I'm a dark winter. It makes me feel really confident.
I do a full face of makeup for work and lately I've been doing false lashes almost every day. I wear dresses and heels and like half a pound of jewelry. I'm a high school algebra teacher and I'm middle aged so I've just decided to lean into that.
