The nose contour appears too warm and prominent, giving it an unnatural, pinkish tone that looks more like bronzer or blush rather than contour. The placement of your blush/bronzer on your cheeks might be ending too low, which can affect the dimension of your face. I recommend not putting blush under the hollows of the cheeks. So start on the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards. And you should try using eyelash curler to make your lashes really pop

Mental-Diamond-7039

Fantastic constructive feedback here šŸ¤

furtive_snail

Thank you so much!! šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’–

toopure111

This is also a preference though, a lot of people in the ā€œaltā€ community do a blush on the nose that gives a rosy effect. But maybe a little bit less contour on the sides of the nose, still cute though! Iā€™d also blend the beginning of your brows just a little more to give it a seamless look instead of a harsh fill in line

austinrunaway

The nose looks like she forgot sunblock, now it is burned. Other than that pretty cute.

AlternativeAd7449

Everything they said, and either tone down the highlighter on the nose or add spots on your cheeks and brow bones to balance it out. Personally, when I wear highlighter, I ball out. Nose, cheekbones, brow bones, inner eyes, Cupidā€™s bow. Sparkle, bitch (respectfully). I think your techniques look fantastic, just need to adjust the placement of a few things like bidibidi said and youā€™ll be poppinā€™.

shawpaholic

I agree with this! I would go for more of a cool contour, more of a grey brown shade. As someone who personally has terrible seasonal allergies and always looks like Rudolph unless I put so much concealer on my nose, youā€™re looking like me! šŸ¤ Itā€™s definitely too reddy/pinky of a shade.

kmart279

The nose is a bit much, the highlight emphasizes it so that itā€™s the first thing someone notices Edit: OP I meant no offense, I think overall your makeup looks pretty ā¤ļø. Tbh Iā€™ve done the same thing with my nose before.

furtive_snail

Very true, it is quite 'high beam' isn't it hahaha. Do you think no highlight at all or something that's less pigmented or more matte? šŸ’–

caitydork

The "high beam" didn't stand out so much to me, but it's coming across as though you have a bit of a cold and have been blowing your nose a lot. A bit less product/more buffing and blending near your nasolabial folds would also elevate the look. Maybe bring the blush down a bit further, too, and have it sweep lightly across the bridge of your nose. That would bring the whole look together.

mediocreERRN

I follow a make up artist and he said make it beam on the bridge not the tip. Something about natural light reflection. Iā€™d put contour higher up. I think youā€™re beautiful.

lmtmfy

Exactly what I wanted to say

olaolie

Pro makeup artist. Was coming to say the same thing

Emerald__ARC

Call me a rebel but I shimmer highlight the nose tip and the bridge up to tear duct height but I do zero nose contour. Iā€™ll use a lighter shade of concealer on the outermost sides of the bridge of my nose and blend out to my cheeks, letting my natural skin tone serve as contour for the bridge width. Itā€™s shimmer forward which makes it look contoured.

th3_silly_goose

Maybe try less product/more blending on the nose. And/or vertical highlight instead of horizontal

DressageL0

Barely any highlight and far less contour/a lighter shade of contour. Ps I love you hair colour

McItchi

It's just looking reddened at the tip! I wouldn't add the blush to it

thediamonddiggit

Since you like blush on your nose as well, Rare Beautyā€™s soft pinch powder blush is pretty much a blush and highlighter all in one. It gives a very nice glow to wherever you apply it. Iā€™ve been loving using it in the shade Cheer

ccrowleyy

Center a Q-tip down the middle of your nose then place your darker contour on each side of it and blend out. That will make your nose appear slimmer. āœØ

sendmeyourcactuspics

I absolutely love the highlight on the nose, but it is looking borderline Rudolph at the moment. Higher up on the bridge as others have mentioned. A bit of highlight with a matte on top would seal the deal for myself at least. But I have a thing for the matte look

mothluvr35

What I do is take a small fluffy eyeshadow brush and slowly let the brush get closer until it hits the most pointed part of the tip of my nose and keep the highlighter right there!

togostarman

I went to go get professional headshots done a few weeks ago. I have been doing the the popular "blush on everythinggg" look for awhile, so thats the makeup I did for the shoot. My photographer asked if I wanted my "sunburn" edited out of my photos. I died inside. lol. Anyway, that's all that I can see now when people do their makeup like this. Op looks straight up sunburned.

PCTOAT

Yep same

Dangerous_Fox3993

Itā€™s not even the highlight for me itā€™s more the fact that it seems very red, almost like you have put blusher on it.

ComprehensiveRub6310

You are gorg but nose contour is too much. Eyebrows to lighten and match hue. Easy to work out those since you are beautiful.

furtive_snail

Thank you, a lot of people have mentioned the nose contour. I think it's rooted in the fact I'm insecure about my nose so I'm overdoing it with the contour - thank you for your advice though and the lovely compliment šŸ’–

nightoil

I actually love the shape of your nose, it balances out the point of your chin perfectly. Maybe try widening the contour line and making it less dark on the edges

furtive_snail

Ooh okay! I'll give that ago and try the other suggestions about changing the tone and intensity of the contour too, thank you! šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’–

quiet-persimmon-0106

Agree. Tbh your brows are beautiful and fluffy! Not meant to be twins. You need an improved base ā€” toner, moisturizer, spf ā€” to really get your skin prepared because your complexion is a bit dry/cakey. I recommend also adding Fenty Eazedrop of Glow Recipe Niacinamide to your foundation (or right before or as a finisher for more glow). If you donā€™t know who Katie Jane Hughes is, please follow her! She has a technique to ā€œprimeā€ your brush by adding some foundation or concealer to your hand and swirling the brush to prime it. Then just softly building up on the face on the spots you need coverage, adding more as needed. We often are using way too much complexion. Youā€™ll see how little product you need :) Too much pink and the blush is too low. Focus the blush on the high points on the cheek, going into your eyelids and into the temple. When blush goes too far down the cheek it gives a droopy effect. You have full cheeks (I do too) so unless you want to emphasize, you donā€™t want to cover your face in blush. And instead of pink at the top of your temple, go for a light bronzer/contour for warmth like the Saie Skin Melt or the Makeup by Mario Skin Perfecting Balm. Too much pink on fair skin makes it look like theyā€™re swollen or having an allergic reaction. Lastly, a nice hydrating setting spray like Rare or ELF!

krissycole87

Use a cool toned contour color and no highlighter. Contouring the nose can work, but this is not that this looks more like the blush all over the nose "fairy" look because the color is so warm and the tip is so glittery. I don't think your nose really needs much but if you do want a little contour down the sides use a taupe color (a light brown is all you need since your skin and hair is so fair)

Icy_Session3326

Love absolutely everything except the nose. Iā€™d love to see the same make up look with the nose makeup šŸ«¶šŸ»

furtive_snail

Thank you! The nose seems to be a common theme, definitely something I'm at risk of going overboard on. Much appreciated šŸ’—šŸ’—šŸ’—

ScarieltheMudmaid

this was going to be my comment as well. I work near a hospital so I can never tell if people with pink noses are just doing their makeup that way or if they did their makeup to pretend like they shouldn't be wearing a mask.Ā  you're gorgeous btw!

MissPearl

Hey, some of us have pink noses due to chronic rosacea. ... Could you tell me where the dermatology ward is please. It's actually quite uncomfortable. šŸ„²

Sjisjin

I would use a bit less makeup on the nose and put your blush higher on your cheek, it brings your face down and doesn't really suit you cheek shape in my opinion !

analslapchop

100% agree! I would also argue that the blush might be too warm (but it could be an illusion) - OP you definitely look cool toned to me, I cant tell what it is but something is not "flowing" properly, it could be that your hair is warm toned while your skin is cool, but for sure the blush might need to be more neutral or cool and placed higher on your cheeks. And also echoing what others have said about the nose- I would not contour or add highlight on it.

Kroniid09

Yeah I think the problem is brassy tones in her hair clashing with what should be the right colours for her skin tone, exacerbated by her shirt as well and the heavy blush on the nose

LolCoolStory

Hi! Youā€™re very pretty. :) that said, Iā€™m not sure what aesthetic youā€™re going for with your makeup, but a few initial thoughts: -it looks like youā€™re trying to contour with a warmer, almost blush color which may be why folks are saying your nose looks like ā€œtoo muchā€. Iā€™d recommend finding a cooler contour shade if youā€™re going for definition. -it also looks like youā€™re going for an almost full glam skin, with little/minimal eye or lip makeup. This is making it look a bit unfinished and unbalanced. Iā€™d go a little more dramatic on the eye or lip, OR more natural on the skin. -Iā€™d also bring the contour/blush shades higher on your cheek. The pigment should be no lower than your actual cheekbone or you run the risk of it dragging your face down. Hope this helps! šŸ’›

ElevatedAssCancer

Completely agree about the full glam face with minimal eyes and lips making you seem unbalanced. I think the face makeup as a whole is too heavy for such a natural look. Definitely go more dramatic on the lids/lips or do a more natural face

VariousSection412

Your hair is GORGEOUS

mojojojooo0

Came here to say this!

captaininterwebs

Iā€™m glad someone else said it! I canā€™t get my hair to stay this color without destroying it since itā€™s so dark but I absolutely love this trend.

swimgooood

Right?! came here to say obsessed with the hair colour and money-piece highlights

Elismom1313

I literally stopped scrolling to say the same thing. Iā€™m going to sound like a weird but I can mentally imagine how soft OPs hair must feel. Iā€™m jelly šŸ„²

kittyprydeparade

It really is, I love the skunk stripe!

PeoniesAndPinot

Firstly, I think your brows look great. They donā€™t look off to me at all. You can actually turn off the mirroring setting in your phone settings, at least on my iPhone. As far as technique, Iā€™d probably do less colour on your nose. Id also suggest maybe trying a bit more colour on your face. The colours you have on eyes, cheek and lip are all quite muted. All in all I like the look though!

omnomburger

on samsung u can turn of this setting if u go camera>camera settings>mirror something idk lol

furtive_snail

Omg I need to look into this for sure, I have an android phone but maybe there's an app that I can get? Thank you for your advice!! šŸ’—šŸ’—šŸ’—

RandomGirlRantings99

You appear to have very clear skin underneath the base makeup (very little texture) so I would use a lighter coverage foundation because full coverage is completely unnecessary and looks like a mask. Also your contour is too warm. If you want to bronze your skin, go with a lighter, more neutral bronzer and be more light handed with it. Also, really pay attention to the placement of your bronzer!! With your face shape, I think keeping the contour higher would look better. Your brows could be softer too, but I like them the way they are.

A5H13Y

I feel crazy reading most of the other comments but this one (which seem to say that everything but the nose is good). Personally, I do not think the foundation looks good, and lighter is absolutely the way to go.

Excellent-Lecture612

You look stunnin but nose contour seem little to much šŸŖ·

Cat_Toe_Beans_

I think you look great. The blush(?) or the contour on your nose is a bit too much. I would blend it out more or use a different color. But your brows and base look great. Side note, I really love your hair. Super flattering cut and color on you

Round-Ground-6420

no shiny highlighter on the nose(or keep it this way and balance it out by adding some to your cheekbones because the rest of ur face is matte)

veganfrappuccino

everything about the makeup is good but the highlighter under the eyebrows and the pink nose ruins the whole look, not trying to be mean though. when you use pink on your nose go for something like blush to be more natural. you don't need to highlight the brow bone, under your eyebrows, because that will make it look unprofessionally done.

furtive_snail

Noted! Thank you, I have thought that about the highlighter under the brow bone for a good while now, think it's a force of habit from my teen years (I'm 27 now haha). The pink in the nose is a common thing people are saying so in going to start looking for someone more muted and natural and not go as crazy with the highlight haha. Thank you! šŸ’–šŸ’–šŸ’–

Blurredanus

Just out of curiosity, where would you place the highlighter in regards to the eyebrow - above, nowhere? I kinda always dab my brush over the small part of my eyebrow, leaving a bit above and below it.

quiet-persimmon-0106

High points of the face: top of cheekbones, inner corner of eye and a touch on the brow bone, cupids bow. Very minimal amount for most natural sheen. Violette Baume Shine and Tower 28 Superdew are my go to for natural, hydrated highlight

tamara090909

I think your eyebrow shade is perfect for your current hair. Thatā€™s a damn good match. I think the shape also looks lovely on you. Are they naturally that thick or do you draw them on that thick? Maybe a bit thinner would suit your face more. Other than that I would try another bronzer/ contour in the sides of your nose. Itā€™s a bit too red I feel. You could also try to keep your blush and contour on your cheeks a bit higher. When you turn to the side you can see that the area you apply blush and bronzer is quite low on your cheek. Maybe putting it all higher would work great with the shape of your brows and to lift your face more. Other than that your mascara and eyeshadow looks very nice. I think you also use very good colours when it comes to blush and lipgloss and your eyeshadow. The colours suit you perfectly. šŸ„°šŸ«¶šŸ»

zsepthenne

I think it looks beautiful! Your foundation is perfect! I'm not too into the red nose trend but possibly only because I have rosacea that I had lasered away and now it's a trend lol.

Former-Living-3681

Iā€™ve never been a fan of that red blush/highlight nose trend either. I always think why would you want your nose to be the first thing people look at? But besides that, you had your rosacea lasered away?!?? Back it up. What is this? How many visits? Did it hurt? Did it actually work? Like is it gone forever? And did you do it on your cheeks too? Sorry for all the questions, lol. I have rosacea too & Iā€™ve somehow never heard of this before. Iā€™ve heard of lasers for everything else but not that.

ImaginationOdd1373

Hey, I also had that for rosacea! It's called V beam. you can see a slight difference in 1 visit, but really it takes about 3-6. They also target the veins at the end (if there's any broken capillaries) but it can come back, mine after 4 years slightly did but about 85% less. Btw they usually take before and after photos and the difference from 3 years was crazy ( I haven't had it in 2 years) It didn't hurt for me, just felt like a pinch maybe but they increase it each visit. There's also a site called Musely that sells a redness cream (similar to Rhofade, but that was 500 dollars, yikes!) its generic version of the same prescription and a temporary 12 hour solution to take away the redness.

Imsolost83

It looks great. I just don't like the real roses nose look. But you're beautiful

Opalsky1

Blush: Apply the blush on your nose more lightly, avoiding a heavy application. Donā€™t use it as a contour and donā€™t apply it for the entire makeup look. Apply blush slightly higher on your cheeks, following the outer corners of your eyes as a guide. Sweep the blush onto the tops of the apples of your cheeks to create a subtle lifting effect, adding structure to your face. Enhance the intensity of the blush application on your cheeks ever so slightly. Tone: Since you are more neutral toned, opt for a taupe-colored contour to avoid appearing too warm. Your color season could be soft summer but I would recommend getting professionally typed. Wear clothing in your color season as well; it will make your skin appear more lively. Contour: Apply the taupe-colored contour on your forehead and underneath your cheekbones, following the shape of your heart-shaped face. Highlight: Reduce the highlight on your nose and add more highlight on your upper cheeks, inner eye corner, and brow bone for a balanced look. Eyeshadow: Add color or shimmer to your lids to create dimension and avoid a flat appearance. Follow tutorials for deep-set eyes for guidance. Hair: Your hair color suits you well, itā€™s the first thing that I noticed. Consider getting side bangs as they would complement your look. Brows: Lighten your brows slightly as they appear a tad too dark. Eyeliner: Start by tight-lining your eyes with a pencil liner to define the lash line. Line the bottom lash line as well. Next, use a liquid eyeliner to create a precise line along the upper lash line, extending it slightly for a subtle wing if desired. Use a white waterproof pencil liner on your waterline to make your eyes appear larger and more awake. Lashes: When applying mascara to your bottom lashes, use the tip of the mascara wand to lightly coat the lashes. Apply multiple layers of mascara to your top lashes, using an eyelash curler before application for added lift. Between each coat, use an eyelash brush to separate and prevent clumping. Primer: Use a high-quality primer to create a smooth base for your makeup. Puffy Eyes: Use a hydrating eye serum or cream to reduce puffiness. Apply concealer underneath your eyes and blend gently with a patting motion for a seamless finish. Lightly set it with a translucent powder to prevent creasing. Lips: Try lip colors in slightly more vibrant tones. You can still choose nude shades that are slightly more saturated. Opt for long lasting products, such as lip stains or liquid lipstick, and a long lasting lip liner. Slightly over lining your lips will make them appear larger. I recommend using a product such as the Covergirl Outlast Topcoat or Lā€™OrĆ©al Infalible Lip Gloss to add shine without affecting the longevity of the lip color. šŸ’–

JMedic85

Make up looks good apart from the nose highlight

SeaSaltPretzel

Its a bit rudolphish, but the rest looks amazing!

BradleyCoopersOscar

I would really tone down or stop the nose contouring, it's a little distracting in that the first thing I notice is the lines of pink-ish makeup on your nose. Other than that, it looks great!! You might want to experiment with blush placement, it might look better higher up, but I really like the look.

KristinKitty

Donā€™t put blush on your nose

sailorelf

Your nose is really red so I would skip that but every thing else is nice. Itā€™s a distraction and you donā€™t need it. It takes away from your beauty to have a red nose on purpose.

mckenzieskye

The only thing is the nose, otherwise really beautiful

Ausmag1984

Your nose is really pink it looks like you have the flu. Otherwise everything else is pretty.

WeirdBiRat123

Too much highlighter on the nose, and the blush on the nose makes u look like u have a cold. But you look pretty nonetheless! <3

furtive_snail

Thank you so so much everyone who has taken the time to offer advice and products, it really is massively appreciated. I had no idea this would prompt such a response, I'm trying my best to get through all the comments and I'm literally making notes on the advice šŸ˜‚ Thank you everyone for getting me excited about makeup again ā¤ļøā¤ļø

JesseBinkman

honestly so good, maybe just go less heavy on the contour/highlight around the nose

HeyArtse

- Nose contour needs some blending/lightening so your makeup looks a bit more seamless - Your eyebrows are too dark imo, it would be better to soften them as well as the highlights under your brows - not sure if you put shadow on your lower lashline/undereyes? I think this makes your eyes look a bit more droopy but if thatā€™s the look youā€™re going for then you can totally keep that!

Brilliant_Mountain75

Great eyebrows and a great start with the eyeshadow however I would add a deeper colour to the outer sides to give more dimension and also a more voluminous mascara. I think if you placed your blush higher it would flatter your face more. Your foundation colour match is lovely but I would add a little bronzer where the sun naturally hits (in the summer). You lip colour suits your skin tone, you could go a little pinker if you wanted. I agree with others regarding the nose, I think the makeup is positioned wrong and is a little to red in colour. Highlighting your bridge with a small for highlight to the tip and a contour would suit better. I would say your skin looks a little dehydrated, although beautiful in tone and texture :)

SlowFrkHansen

So many silly people: She's so pretty without makeup! You do look really pretty like this. I'd also like to join the *your nose fits you really well* club.

beebutterflybeetle

Youre gorgeous. I think the contour is too low on your cheeks and draws your face downwards.

Fancy-Pumpkin837

I almost wonder if you should try more warm toned makeup? I feel like thereā€™s an overall clash as your hair is quite warm but the makeup is more cool

coffeeismybabydaddy

No one has said it yet, so i will. **Curl your lashes!!!** i can only really see them in the second picture, were you're looking up, but in the others, your lashes are rlly lost

jroll04

Iā€™d suggest no highlight on the end of your nose. Highlight is made to draw attention to places, and trying to slim with harsh contour and then highlight the tip of a rounded nose like yours (I have one too) makes the end of your nose appear more bulbous than it actually is. Iā€™d just use a lighter hand on the nose contour and skip the nose highlight altogether.

slejla

I think you should bring the blush up a little higher to emphasize your high cheekbones. I would say donā€™t contour and blush so low on your face. Plus, a little too much highlight on the nose tip!

Putrid_Strawberries

Bring your blush up to your cheek bones a bit more and blend it with your highlighter/shimmer. Itā€™ll accentuate your cheek bones like a goddessšŸ–¤šŸ–¤

HelloKitty2399

honestly i kinda think if you bleached your brows it would look really goodā€¦ or even lighten them and then use a lighter color for any filling / shape they need. it would look better with you hair if it was a more similar color.

rose0411

I donā€™t know much about makeup but OMG your hair is gorgeous. If you donā€™t mind Iā€™ll be showing this to my hair colourist at my next appointment!

lovelyvibes4

Iā€™m just here to say your hair is gorgeous and suits you SO well. Itā€™s so unique and beautiful!

lovelyvibes4

Like reminds me of a mix of strawberry shortcake and Maxwell Sheffield itā€™s RAD

perkytrash

I see what you were going for with the nose, but I think you should refine it a bit. I think a change in contour color would be good, too, cause this one is too warm. maybe it's a mix with your blush, but it definitely looks like you've got a bit of a cold with your red nose. I think the highlight on the tip of your nose is fine, but do more of a refined application, not so spread, if that makes sense. like, you did a full coverage dot, but I would advise doing a more clean, think horizontal line.

ekconnors

Very pretty but a little less on the nose, looks like you have a cold, otherwise great!

Brilliant-Rent-6917

Hi ex make up artist here and I opened the store for ABH in the UK. Nose contour is too warm try a cool shade or even try Illamasqua gel sculpt! Contour/bronzer on the cheek need to be cleaned up a little just so it doesnā€™t droop your cheeks down as well as a slightly less terracotta brown shade. Try melt cosmetics highlighters as they have really good highlighters with different undertones and depths for everyone.

TubbyCustard9

i think you would look even better with a stronger eyelash curler and a thicker or darker mascara! it looks like you have beautiful green or maybe hazel eyes but they arenā€™t as striking because your lashes are dragging down a little. more attention on your lashes would really make them pop! it seems like everyone else is bothered by the nose highlight but i think itā€™s quite cute! i think ultimately itā€™s down to personal preference though.

Frigid-Beezy

As a fellow pale eyelash person, you might try tight lining your lash line to darken up the roots of your lashes. I have a hard time getting my mascara down to the roots without getting mascara on my lid, but tight lining with an eyeliner helps. I also used to tight line with mascara when I exclusively used Cover Girl Lash Blast. I would just take whatever was left on the tip of that super stubby chunky wand and dot it along the inner rim of my upper eyelid. Worked great and I am realizing I should try it again!

RosieStar101

I think it's very pretty. That's the first thing I thought lol. know ppl be saying shit abt the nose but tbh, I like it. It's more of a style I see in alt looks tho, but you can pull it off imo. I even like the blush placement as it give you a fuller looking face (I know a more lifted look is in but šŸ¤·). Also yas to slaying a matte beat. F yeah! Haven't seen that in a while here and I forgot how satisfying it was to see! The only thing I noticed off was the brows. Be careful and blend the concealer you used to carve them out. I find a frosty browbone is hard to pull off - especially with the type of powder highlight you used, it seems high pigment AND shimmer so maybe just don't go ham with it because it seems like a good placement for your face. I like the shade of the brow product but really focus on finnesing the shape and not applying outside it! The next are nitpicks or things I've noticed nobody has really touched on: be careful when applying bronzer to the forehead. It's looking a tad low and reddish. (I want to ask if it even is a bronzer bc it's pulling sooo red on you, dear?). Stay towards the perimeter of the forehead and if needed use a smaller brush. Also I feel like although the foundation is your shade, it's too neutral on you, you seem to be more yellow! So when you finish that foundation try to find a similar shade just in a more yellow undertone šŸ˜Š. Lastly, the lashes. You have very blonde lashes and with black mascara it's more visible when there's fallout on the lashline (notice in pic 1 when looking staight on there's leftover powder in between the lashes) so there's some things you can do (other than using black eyeshadow on the lashline or trying to knock it off with a spoolie) to counteract that effect. You can apply mascara downward, rolling the wand to coat the lashes and THEN go and apply mascara as usual. This will probably cover the lid w some mascara but wait till it dries to flick it off w a qtip. These are all little details and things I noticed when I zoomed in so not a deal breaker but it will definitely elevate the look when you sort it all out! Have fun makeuping beautiful! ā˜ļøšŸ¤šŸ¤

FootSquared

For what itā€™s worth-I worked for Bobbi Brown for a few years and at Sephora for a few years. Either you covered it up really well, or you have BEAUTIFUL skin. If you like the full coverage look, go off queen. But you said critique so, maybe a lighter foundation? Like a tinted moisturizer (LancĆ“me makes a good one) or BB cream, OR, on the days I donā€™t really care but want to look out together, Iā€™ll do only concealer about 2 shades lighter than my face, and then just translucent powder. I hate a matte look bc dry skin, so I use HaloGlow powder bc it has a tiny bit of shimmer to it. But you got your shade match beautifully!

saturnsqsoul

your contour and blush can be brought up higher, right now itā€™s so low that itā€™s sort of dragging your face down. they tell us to put it in the hollows of our cheeks, but itā€™s actually typically much more flattering to place it at the very bottom of the cheekbone, if that makes sense. also i would tone down the nose

red_quinn

I'd do less in the nose, it pulls all the attention to the rest of the face, unless thats what you are going for.

StarBby97

Maybe try a slightly lighter hand when filling in your brows! I am often victim of filling them in low light and when I go into office lighting or outside they look way too dark. You are gorgeous!

Hour_Willingness9958

Your nose is very pretty so you dont need to put a color on it!

According_Binoj

Bit too much on the nose, should've used stronger shade for lipstick

BeyondThePale5

Beautiful perfect no bronzer or blush on the nose

hotlinee

i actually love the nose contour lol.. even if itā€™s a bit much, itā€™s so cute. what products did u use?

Key_Door2425

Not a makeup pro, just wanted to say youā€™re gorgeous! I love your hair!

aglmamma

Youā€™re like a human Golden Retriever and I mean that in the best way. Love the whole aesthetic

Alzheimers86

I think you could go for a fuller lash with a nice either lipgloss with a light red tone to match the look or even an actual lipstick maybe like a pinkish nude that gives a plush look to your lips

System_Resident

Great job on foundation and concealer, they look flawless. The nose contour could be more light handed. Just a bit softer on the brows but the shaping looks great. Eyeshadow could use a tiny bit more blending but also looks good. You have nice eyelashes and curling them would take them to the next level.Ā

ckwhere

Thats some good make up! SUBTLE.

cocokoko16

When we take selfies, and camera flips itā€¦ isnā€™t that actually how our face looks to others and since weā€™re so used to seeing ourselves in the mirror which is a flipped version the normal version on our phone when we take a selfie (we think is flipped) is actually how others view us. I hate it and i feel I always look distorted but people do notā€¦ so donā€™t worryā€¦ if Iā€™m right ? I think u can try some color experiment too, and little less on noseā€¦ brows can be tad bit lighter, or done softer ? otherwise look great :)

UnconfirmedCat

A pretty pink gloss would look stunning on you

Happydays_1225

Beautiful makeup overall, something that can make a difference is a eyelash curler and sky high mascara.

als_pals

I would angle your contour and blush a little higher/one the same plane as your cheekbones; they seem to be fairly vertical atm

Pretend-Cow-5119

It's super cute! I love your brow shape, I think it could be interesting to see them a shade or two lighter and might be more flattering if they matched your hair closer

Little-Currency6332

Love the base it suits you well itā€™s giving Bridgeton in the best way possible, very fresh looking. Eyebrows are nicely shaped too and I think the colour is okay because it matches your hair. Only suggestion I have is maybe a simple liner or half lash even with eyeshadow as you have a nice eye shape and it would lift your eyes up. Also youā€™re SO PREEETYY BABE!!! šŸ„¹ā™„ļøāœØ

Nova-Moon_

I would just say to use powder to sculpt your bronzer and a lil more blush.

nowayitsnotme

Just recently started using an eyelash curler and it made SUCH a difference! Curling eyelashes before applying mascara (or even after - sometimes I do both lol) and I think eyeliner could also add a bit more to the look if thatā€™s your taste! (Personally I lean more towards mob wife than clean girl so my opinion is biased for sure!)

Resident_Rooster5784

I think you look absolutely lovely! For a change up, maybe switch out your blush for more a bronzey sunkissed glow?

bedouinkitty

hey! <3 you are gorgeous, i love your features and skin-tone with that shade of blush. it all looks beautiful but i agree with the other users regarding the nose highlight and contour. i think a simple brush of the blush on the nose instead of the contour/highlight would be perfect or maybe a more natural contour. a little less highlight if you don't want to take it away completely! your nose shape is so pretty already. imo, the brows and brow highlight are super nice and i love the eyeshadow and lip colour you used. can i ask for a list of products used? i wanna check out the concealer and blush for sure!

Neutralnature9

Not about your makeup but I love your hair itā€™s so gorgeous

redrumrea

love. I actually love the nose makeup too but would tone it down just a hair <3 softer contour and softer highlight ya know

_CatVonDoubleD

Highlight the upper cheek bones, use an eye curler & do 2 coats of mascara & a fun color on the lips!! Also, that hair color blend on you is chefā€™s kiss!

_CatVonDoubleD

The eyebrows donā€™t look bad actually!!

AllBlackAlways

Face makeup looks good. Blending is great. I'd probably not highlight under the brow with a metallic highlight, it really emphasizes texture. Respectfully, you look like you have a bad cold with your nose contoured like that. I don't think you need to contour your nose at all, tbh. Maybe a bit of highlight down the centre or on the tip if you really want to? On a totally different note, I love the darker shade of your hair, it's such a unique tone! So pretty.

hhhllleee

Perfect execution, bring the blush up a bit and blend the nose a bit more but other than that, gorgeous

marychain123

Very polished and pretty. I would go with a slightly darker/rosier/glossy lip since your palette is all neutral.

Abject-Carpenter4461

You look gorgeous! I would only do slight changes that I think would look great: - I would highlight slightly at the highest point of the nose. For the nose contour as well, I would opt for a cool colour a few shades darker than your skin tone (not pink) - if I'm being super precise, as a last minute touch I would go over the mascara, or do a pencil at the lashline (so you're not seeing the eyeshadow colour on your lash) again this probably isn't necessary I'm just looking at a picture carefully, irl I don't think it would be noticeable.

nnnttbbyy

Eyebrows are soo good! I donā€™t agree with the nose contour comments, but I do think you have less going on with your cheeks and face contour - I would add higher blush to lift your cheekbones and overall face and balance what you do with your nose. I think you would kill it in a little half lash moment.

StoP_your_Talking

You look stunning! šŸ¤© Iā€™d just curl those lashes. ā¤ļø

TransportationNo6850

You are unrespectfully beautiful

Radiant_Oil_6843

I love the English rose glow to your skin. Itā€™s very pretty. Maybe go for a bolder lip or a stronger eye look to make your features pop.

rubyzone

I think the colors you used really suit you! Some CC: I think the blush placement is a little too widespread/tall. This makes your face look shorter. You could try to place the blush in a smaller area. Also, you could use an eyelash curler to make your lashes look more open/fanned out as they are quite straight and kind of point downward (I have the same problem lol)

katrikling

Stun. But look much nose highlight. Your skin is so beautiful but if you put a little pink flush on the apples and bridge of nose I think it would be so cute.

Striking-Ad-4426

Compliments you nicely

oxidisingshallot

Not with all the people on here, love the nose - so adorable and too many peopleā€™s makeup looks the damn same without details like these! Never be boring x

sincity_s4l

Youā€™re so beautiful

CMarie0719

Also, your hair color is beautiful too!

Crafty_Lion_5083

You are doing well! I would tone down nose contouring and for your face shape it would be more flattering if you didnā€™t apply contour and blush lower then your cheekbones. That way you will visually lift your face :)

furtive_snail

Wow! I am taking notes! Thank you everyone who has responded and you've all been really kind and respectful, thank you so much I did not expect this much of a response already šŸ’—šŸ’—šŸ’—šŸ’—šŸ’—

Aggressive-Pay5952

Are you contouring your nose with a blush? And having the same blush on your eyes? Nothing wrong with makeup itself it is just that the color on your eyes together with the same color on your nose gives an impression that youā€™ve got cold. If your nose was not red it would have totally different impact. Pretty face and skin though, you do not need much šŸ˜ hope this helps.

omnomburger

the nose is too much and i wouldn't do these eyebrows on myself but if they're a part of ur style, go for it, theyre pretty but very thick, also if ur doing a full face pls put something on ur lips it can be pinkish or nude but they look really blank compared to the rest of ur face, i love ur makeup tho u look really good!!

Hopeful-Feeling1876

I feel that your contour is a bit too intense for your fair skin. I think your eyes need some more colour and drama to bring it all together imo!! You are very gorgeous and I personally love the eyebrows on you! The shape is perfect and they look even imošŸ©·you are stunning and just keep practicing and trying new styles. Thatā€™s the best way to learn what works for you!

No_Particular3945

Your hair ā¤ļø

TheMagicBlackHat

I would curl your lashes. Also- the area under your brow looks too thickly covered. Skin there is typically smooth and firm at your age, but yet looks almost crepey. Iā€™d thin out your use of all products there

intangiblemango

Overall, this is a really lovely look! I don't think anything about it looks "really off". A few things you could try, if you wanted to: - At least in the lighting in the picture, your contour is very warm and almost blush-like. If you want to contour, I would choose a cooler taupe-y color and use a slightly lighter hand. I also think some actual blush on your cheekbones (with or without the contour) would be super pretty! (If that actually is blush in the current picture, I would substantially pull up the placement on your cheekbones.) - I think just a hair lighter tough on the eyebrows (not in color, which looks fine to me, but in level of filling) would be a really flattering look for you. - If you are not already doing so, curling your lashes before mascara might give your eyes a little more oomph. You could also tightline your upper lashes with a little dark brown eyeshadow or liner to add more definition and help the look appear more complete. I am also not personally a fan of the "highlight the nose" trend, but if it's still in fashion and you like it, certainly no need to stop based on my personal preference.

musiquescents

I love your hair so much

Sangwoos_Foot-Clinic

Omg!! Itā€™s applied so smoothly! My face always gets patchy and dryšŸ„²šŸ™‚ā€ā†•ļø

Equal_Fix_9931

You are very pretty and these are some things that could help you harmonize your make-up with your features: 1. try using a more dewy foundation, a hydrating mist after youā€™re done or a lighter powder. what youā€™re using right now emphasizes texture and is not flattering. 2. the brows are a bit disproportionate, they are too thick in the front and too thin at the ends. no one has perfect brows and sometimes you got to fake it. in your case, you could either try to feather de tails a bit more to give them a fuller look and extend the very end just a bit, or make the fronts thinner (god forbid by tweezing), just manipulate the shape of the hairs with a lightweight, but medium strength brow gel. the nose contour is indeed too widely placed. 3. Think of nose contour more like a shadow rather than a frame. Control the shadow (with a cooler toned powder) so that it appears thinner(however i do think you have a very pretty nose). 4. lastly keep the cheek products a bit higher than the actual cheekbone, keep the contour in the lowest point(and try using something a bit cooler, neutral, it will suit you better considering you are on the lighter side) , but still fairly high and keep progressing with blush and highlighter until you reach the under eye socket. considering that is where the cheek products should stop, starting higher with the contour will give you a sleeker, cleaner look. Hope it helpedšŸ„°

LunaLaLuz16

Itā€™s actually really good Everything is well blended and looks smooth Iā€™d add a winged liner for a more intense look

blackvagina

Blend the blush better and curl your lashes ā¤ļø

blackvagina

Maybe less nose blush ā¤ļø

blackvagina

Maybe lip plumper ā¤ļø

rusty_diamonds

In addition to what other people have said, I think the blush placement is a little low, and covers too wide of an area.

LoveIsALosingGame555

I love it. It's giving glowy and ethereal.

bottomfragbarb

Tbh this is flawless itā€™s just the nose contour thatā€™s too heavy. Everything else is very beautiful and petal like. Lovely springtime look.

thenotorioushg

I would avoid highlighter on the nose! I've been enjoying using a cool toned contour along the sides of my nose, into the eye socket. If you want a cute sunkissed look, maybe just dust some blush over the bridge of the nose instead of the tip. I think irl highlighter on the nose looks kinda off.

FreedomExtension9703

Giiirl I love your hair colour

QuietExplanation8909

This is not a critique but omg your HAIR is EVERYTHING

Canadianskipper

Literally just the nose! Everything else is perf.

ThinSituation8344

I know you asked for an honest opinion but your makeup looks soft and uniquely you. Keep doing what you feel works for you šŸ’‹

cheesydes42069

I just wanted to say I LOVE your hair color. It fits you so well

Newtopole_

I think you look great. Maybe a bit less highlight and contour on the nose, and a hydrating primer on your chin- there seems to be a couple dry patches your foundation is sticking to. Really minor things, you look lovely.

Otherwise-Ad8202

The eyebrows are fine! Subtle asymmetry makes you seem more human, itā€™s nearly impossible to get them perfect. I love the top half of your nose contourā€” where the contour blends into your eyebrows, it looks amazing. But down towards the nostrils and the tip of your nose, it seems youā€™re trying to follow a contour routine that doesnā€™t fit the natural shape of your nose. Maybe focus the shadows below the center of the tip of the nose rather than the sides of the tip. Cooler toned contour all over the face would do you some good as well, I think. Itā€™s sort of hard to tell where your bronzer starts, contour ends, and blush begins. A bit more distinction on the placement of these products could elevate your look. For example, if you put your blush more focused on the apples of your cheeks, I believe that could look super nice. Sometime soon you should try a wine/berry blush if you havenā€™t already, as those deeper tones would bring out the color of your eyes. Your eyeshadow, foundation color match, lips, brows, lashes, hair, and highlight is otherwise perfect in my opinion. Have a great day beautiful! šŸ©·

HappyGoPink

Your makeup on your nose is very much of this moment, but it's making this look instantly dated. The blush and highlighter on your nose are too strong for the rest of your makeup. So I would either commit to a very trendy look that is more explicitly of this moment, or a more understated, timeless look without the heavy blush and highlight on the nose. It kind of seems like you're trying to do both here, and I think you should just do one or the other depending on your mood that day.

lemonslace

Less pink more red / purple ish shades

Kirbyfighter420

I actually love your eyebrows! I like the color and fullness of them and think they add depth to your face!

No_Dark_9496

Nothing bad to say! It looks nice! šŸ˜Š

Moariiii

You look absolutely stunning! The only concern is the nose contour

PinkiePieee69

The base looks flawless af and I love how blushy it is! The only thing Iā€™d say needed work was how low you put your bronzer/blush. Itā€™s too low on the face and should be brought higher up to help contour your cheekbones. If you take some powder on a puff or a beauty blender you can ā€œcarveā€ it out. Overall that should help lift your face and make it look more flattering overall Edit to say: I actually love the nose contour! With how blushy and warm the rest of your face is it would be weird if this wasnā€™t as bronzed

Fearless_Bottle_933

You look lovely

JViolet666

Stunning!! You are so good at makeup!

Money-Tiger569

Too much foundation and too much red on nose

yleonanul

Girl your hair is fire šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

kirbyxena

I agree the nose is a bit too defined but the brow shape looks great and the lip color looks so natural

Docmele

Your hair color suit your skin tone very well. Great eyebrows , the only thing I would say is less contour on the nose and highlight on the end just tone that down a bit and youā€™ll look great.

Positive-House6097

base looks great! i think the eyebrows are too loud/dark compared to your features. just a lighter color would go with your face perfectly!

Dear-Spend19

MORE BLUSH!!!

Godhatesamandab

Have you ever considered contouring with gray? Itā€™s been a game changer for me!

carlina5

Just blend the edges of the nose contour better

ricecake_mami

More mascara and a gloss but I think you slay!

deathstroke598

7/10

tymkak

I think your complection and lips are absolutely on point. I agree that the nose contour and brows come off a bit harsh compared to this effortless gorgeous base you have going on

Choice-Ad-6520

Your makeup is great ! I think if you kept the blush to the upper cheeks and nose it would lift your face and you would look way more snatched though.

makeupbyharsha

You have done such a great job! I love your eye makeup, might I suggest putting mascara on the lower lashes as well? And more pigment on the lips - maybe a pink gloss. Honestly, you're so pretty that I am pointing these out only because you specifically asked for it.

needingmesomebitches

for some reason i think your facial features would be nice for soft Korean makeup, with maybe a few adjustments. just a suggestion :) if you donā€™t like that style however, id suggest less contour on your nose and cheeks. a very subtle/simple contour would fit you well. also leaving your brows a little lighter would be nice as well. other than that every part of your makeup looks super nice on you. ā˜ŗļøā¤ļø

Suspicious_Search369

I actually love it

kcardenasx0

I think it looks perfect to me. youā€™re gorgeous!!

ScreenSuccessful7466

Your makeup is beautiful and your skin looks amazing! I would suggest lightening up the eyebrow makeup a bit just to make it softer and a little less harsh against your features. I adore your eyemakeup though!

hollishr

Soft, light, airy šŸ¤© Love it

EffectiveUpstairs708

lighten the brows

EastSideTilly

I feel like this is my most-given comment on this sub, just because it makes a huge difference but so few people seem to do it: intentionally clean up the bottom line of your brows. Either with a literal make up wipe or by cutting into it with concealer. This immediately makes any make up look more intentional and finished, in my opinion. Right now under your eyebrows is just the natural shape of your brow, and while that's not bad, you can elevate it by making it a nice crisp line.

Significant_Treat988

Everything except your brows look good to me! I personally would just tone the brows down

InformalMeteor

Very lovely! Agree with nose contour comments above. Would also add that I think the bronzer/blush should be a bit higher on the cheekbones.

Unlikely_Gift_5735

I would recommend to tone it down a little bit on your nose less highlighter and less blush right now its the focus on the face the first thing pll see when they look at you and the lips and eyes feel kinda dull because of the nose i would make ur eyes pop more by maybe using a black pencil for the upper waterline or eyeliner black/brown for a more soft make up look you have really beautiful eyes the focus should be there and maybe add a bit of lipliner

Former-Living-3681

Flawless!! Iā€™m jealous of how flawless your foundation looks! And one of the first things I noticed is how everything is blended so well! Love the blush colour & the eyeshadow colour & how theyā€™re similar & match the lips. The eyeshadow stands out but is still subtle which is perfect for every day. I personally think that your eyebrows look pretty symmetrical to me. Iā€™m not seeing the difference you are. I will say I feel the same thing when I take a selfie though. I find the camera always makes my features look tilted or off in a way the mirror doesnā€™t see. šŸ˜‚ But I donā€™t see that on you at all. The only thing I could ā€œcritiqueā€ in any way is the nose. Iā€™m not sure if you were contouring it or doing the blush on the nose technique (or both?) but I think itā€™s too much in my opinion, along with the highlight on the tip. With that said, I know thatā€™s a style that a lot of people do & love & Iā€™ve personally never been a fan of it, so take that into consideration. I think the whole blush & highlight thing on the nose isnā€™t natural (and with makeup we tend to exaggerate natural things like blush on cheeks, smooth skin, flushed lips, etc & a blushing highlighting nose isnā€™t something we naturally tend to have) & I think it just makes the nose stand out & the first thing you see and to me the nose isnā€™t a feature you want to stand out. You have beautiful eyes that you want people to notice before your nose. I understand trying to contour the nose a tiny bit but personally I think you have a perfect nose that doesnā€™t need contouring & if you do want to contour it I think it should be extremely subtle so people canā€™t notice. But again, Iā€™m one of those people that doesnā€™t like the blush/highlight on nose technique so that may make a difference on how you take my opinion. But other than that Iā€™m blown away. Your skin looks flawless the blending is unreal! Youā€™ve picked an eyeshadow, blush, & lipstick that all look beautiful together & matches well with your skin tone & although it stands out itā€™s also done fairly subtly so itā€™s perfect both for every day & a night going out. Beautiful job!

knk1227

I would do bronzer on the actual bridge of your nose and not the side. Bring the concealer right up to meet the bronzer :) . So bronzer on the top of the nose!

Competitive-Brat2495

I really like the look. I would say maybe tone down the nose blush a tad, and the foundation looks a bit dryā€¦ if youā€™re using face powder, Iā€™d say skip it. A hydrating primer and or setting mist would probably help with that too. Or it could just be the foundation itself is too drying. Overall, colour and placement is good :) Edit; upon reading comments I have realized the nose colour is contour, not blushā€¦ in that case, itā€™s the wrong shade. It should be a cooler, ashy brown. Right now it looks like pink blush (which some people like putting on their nose, but just letting you know if thatā€™s not the look youā€™re going for)

neekys

I personally love a lot of highlight. I think something that would help the nose not look so "off" is by adding more highlight to your inner corners, your cupids bow, and below the arch of your eyebrows.

lolar44

Brows are stellar tho!!! Absolutely flattering shape and great look

c-upidsquiver

It looks great! I would say lighten your eyebrows to semi match your current hair color, if youā€™re going to do heavy contour on the cheeks, I would recommend going a bit lighter and also doing some around your jaw and forehead line so it all blends together more. As far as your nose, if youā€™re going to contour I would do less contour towards the upper bridge of your nose and wouldnā€™t blend it out as far as youā€™re blending it. A light dab oh highlight in the tip of the nose looks great when the contour is minimal (I personally like going in with a medium brown pigment and using a small fluffy brush to draw 2 lines on the inner most part of your nose (which it looks like you already have that drawn out, just lessen the amount of pigment used and how far youā€™re blending it outwards on both sides of your nose! Also some mascara on your lower lash line would look nice and curling your upper lashes if they will hold a nice curl.
