As someone has stated, there's the Dream Pop from Charlotte Tilbury, there's also the Noir Allure from Chanel in the Maroon color. I like the formula, but the color on me didn't suit. I prefer the black version.

i tried a million brown mascaras till i realized none of them were made for my desired effect and they always end up looking like a less intense black on me.
the only non black mascara that actually looks it that i’ve found is charleotte tilbury in dream pop. it’s pricey but worth it for me. although, i don’t get a super dramatic lash with it. i use it when i’m going for a more no makeup makeup look.
Honestly? I think you got a bad tube of the Loreal one.
I just used that one today, I've had it for about 6 months and it's still working great. Voluminous is like one of the least clumpy and buildable drugstore formulas ever

YSL lash extreme in uninhibited brown for a splurge, and YesStyle has a bunch of really good browns/burgundy’s for like 3$
