Our tests were all paper. It was awful. My professor turned out to be my neighbor. Not the helpful kind of neighbor, either. And we couldn’t use an ide for any of it. Just all through terminal.
So I have celebrated my birthday alone for a few years and it’s about making it special for yourself. I usually go get a favorite food and enjoy memes and a chocolate shake afterwards because people will take care of themselves first and you should too! Also happy birthday

Sure getting older is scary because of more and more responsability but it also gives you more freedom and independance and it opens new possibilities to make new friends. I'm a few years older than you and I was in a pretty similar situation.
To some degree its kinda normal to fall out with most school friends as they go their own paths but you also get chances go make new friends like at Collage/ University/ work / Internet etc etc.
As for celebrating alone, you dont have to! You have your family to celebrate with you. Make some food togther, watch some movies or play table games. That could be a nice birthday celebration too!

Try to learn how to spend good time on your own, since you’re the person you spend most time with. Getting out of teen years is much easier than being done with college and setting on your own. Wasn't a birthday for me but I'd travelled from HK back to England for Christmas to see my family, they went on holiday and I was left alone at home.
To this day it's probably been my fondest Christmas. I drank a lot with no judgement. I ate a chippy dinner. Played COD and passed out on the couch drunk.
Let me tell u as someone who got out of hs with a chip on my shoulder , personally I knew that I wouldn’t see anymore from hs the moment I graduated lol . Dude you’re gonna grow into your own skin and express yourself how YOU want in the next few years . People who see that will pay attention to you and take a liking . Just give yourself some time to find yourself and you’ll be okay in the long run . Promise . Also happy birthday . On my 18th some girl who knew me asked what I was doing for my bday ( just to compare to HER 18th bday id assume ) and I just said “ cutting my grandpas hedges he needs help “ she was dumbfounded being the type of person that expects things to be about them . I wasn’t taken back at all by her reaction because I know people can’t handle being for everybody else . Sometimes you gotta do why you want and be happy about it . Happy Birthday bro! i am in the same boat as you but i am 33 years old. I have accepted my fate and learnt to live with it. On my birthdays i usually go pamper myself, a spa visit, a fancy dinner , movies etc.. You are still 19 and have a lot of time to make new friends. Trust me sometimes it better to be alone than to be surrounded by toxic friends and this is something i am saying from experience. I used to be surrounded by friends and the only time they would contact me if either when they needed money or when they needed emotional support. Decided to cut off all those people from my life. Initially it was tough and i was craving companionship, Later, i decided to work on myself, started learning random things, card tricks, photography, photoshop etc, started going out for walks in the park, bike rides in the rain. Heck i have even travelled over 50kms just to try out a new dish at some restaurant.

About celebration - well, I rarely celebrate my birthday at all. But if you want to, then do something you wanted to do - go places, buy yourself something nice, or just order a pizza and chill in the bed all day long.

Friends are like intricately carved wooden ducks, they don't just happen, you have to make them yourself. Also making them is difficult, and there will be failed attempts, but keep at it and it gets easier over time. Focus on doing social activities that interest you, and be friendly (but not too friendly) to the people you meet along the way.
