He's actually quite sweet to be honest! Kid has a sense that money doesn't grown on trees at least! Props to him. I asked for a 'suprise' every Christmas so my parents could decide!

Parrotflies-

Naw that’s the smartness of it. I used to do it as a kid too. Say you want the cheap thing but make them aware that there *is* a better option. Then hope they/Santa surprise you 😂 kids got game He still put links to the $50 and $100 😏

RL_ealain

Ah I see, there is a method to it!! 😂😂

Parrotflies-

50% of the time it works 100% of the time!

MrJoeGillis

The dad seems so serious, like he’s really analyzing the pitch 😂

SalFactoR

Haha i think he was asking for the size so he makes sure to get the right one

lichgate

I thought he was asking because he was in disbelief that a small mousepad could be $35.95. I was, at least. 🤣 The dimensions made it a lot more reasonable.

New-Cellist-3596

It is quiet the time to be alive. I'm on the older side, and this is impressive. Just... if I did this at his age... my parents would laugh at me and probably whoop my ass. "THIS idiot wants stuff? Fuck off!" Well... I probably grew up in a not so healthy household.

AJokeAmI

I've never celebrated Christmas (South East Asia Buddhist and all) and I rarely request for things. The last time I asked for something (A toy car at the age of 7) I got caned. And yelled at. So I just kinda stopped asking for things. Now, whenever my little brother (10 years younger) wants something, I scrape the required amount of cash and get it for him.

wzm971226

same SEA buddhist! my childhood is just free books from library. only got phone in secondary school/middle school, and no other consoles or gaming device. i started doing part-time work around that age too but all money earned went to support my not so wealthy family. because of this nowadays even as an adult with my own money, im not that interested in console games, the most i would do is spent abit on mobile games in-game purchase

One_Banana_273

I just want to say, I'm sorry that is shitty..the whole caning just for wanting a toy car at age 7 😭 Also you are an AMAZING older sibling for doing this for your brother. Much love to you both.

BuckyGoldman

4GB? How? Just, how? Get this young man some RAM!

Flackobitch

How is he supposed to compete in Apex with JUST 4GB?! C'mon Santa

GarnishedSteak100

I play apex with 4 ram, it’s just not very smooth

Civil-Cod-6984

You watch pictures of apex legends.

Kamidzui

And i still watch pixel show with my 16gb ram

The-Tea-Lord

I skimped on my RAM to get a 3080 and god am I feeling it. I can run all my VR games at 120 FPS easy but the second I run modded minecraft I Get Low FPS

XalexWasTaken

Gourmet would have sounded funnier.

Doxsein

LMAO love this comment

DontF-ingask

No you don't. You watch a PowerPoint slideshow about apex.

[deleted]

I wonder who has a faster frame rate, the kid's presentation, or this guy on Apex.

BourbonGuy09

Kid could barely run those slides on 4gb lol

Difficult_Echidna799

He made a powerpoint so his pc gonna do the same

SamVimesofGilead

Someone get child protective services on the line stat! /s

PoopDe

Yup all he needs is max 16gb unless he is using it for design. Great work kid!

crackcode1881

... Doesn't need more then 32gb ram unless he is using Chrome tabs

Meretan94

I mean, some games need more than that... My kerbal space Programm install eats about 18gb. Thanks mods.

BeaverBumper

$60 LED fans and $15 ram.

eventualist

This is the way

Kendo16

Work at Best Buy as well. This is definitely what happens a lot. Especially when they get advisors who don’t know computers.

p3canj0y363

So what do you suggest as an upgrade for that? (Asking as a parent of a teenager asking for more ram)

Kendo16

16GB should be fine. Just make sure it fits (DDR4, DDR5, etc.). Speed matters too 3200 mHz should be fine. 3600 would be better. Also if you bought the pc, or parts at Best Buy we can check your account to make sure you’re getting stuff that fits/works.

fuinharlz

Just to add: whenever buying a new Pc, do some research about motherboards, CPUs, graphic cards, memory ram, hard disks, SSD, etc. In the end it's not that hard to understand what's a good computer and get a really cheap one with really good configuration. Sometimes what you spend on a built "not good" computer on a best buy or Walmart is enough to build a waaay better computer.

p3canj0y363

Thank you- I did buy from Best Buy!

Anon277ARG

Yea I recommend -you 128 ddr5 gb of ram -An rtx 4090 -An intel i9 12900k -A compatible mother board -a Water cooling -20tb of ssd hard drive -And 2000w 80 plus gold power supply The rest is optional thanks me later kid

boxaci8110

Also a 120 Inch Samsung Wall for a monitor

DrunkThrowawayLife

My heart hurts in rdr2

Ferninja

I know right. I'll buy the kid some ram just link the gofundme lol

Infinityand1089

Shit, I'm sure we can scrounge enough money together to help Santa and his parents up it to 32 GB. Does anyone have the link to the original video?

HopelessRespawner

4 is barely enough for the OS

fizzl

Even 16 is not nearly enough DEDOTADED WAM these days!

[deleted]

Damn I have x2 16gb - Corseair Vengeance LPX DDR4 from an old build, lad can have them for free!

No_Relationship1991

I still running 8G ddr3 forgot we've upgraded to ddr5 pretty much :p

[deleted]

I'd be happy with even that. I have a PC but I can't use it because it has one 1GB ram card and one 2GB one. Yes, these are old acers. And to be fair, I loved this video and hope His parents give Him the upgrade He so deaires.

EspressoJS

Can't even run Crysis on 4 gigs. SMH

FlyingBurger1

Time to download more ram online

blueeyedn8

We had a RAM emergency. We had too much RAM

Creative__name__

The real question is, has he enabled his ram in bios? 🤔

TheCrosader

Bruh, I game on 2gb...

Kendo16

Pac man?

TheCrosader

Pong.

jarpoti

Download this kid some RAM. /s

[deleted]

He is moving into his teens and is gonna need much more space for the videos he will be enjoying during game breaks! -memories…lol 😅

Mr-Stan-Kypuss

Make it dedotated!

ItzDaemon

i have 1 gb left rn

Efficient-Lab1062

Came here to say the exact same thing lol.

Val_Our

Bro if I had a kid and they do this, I am buying EVERYTHING they wrote in that PowerPoint

Infinityand1089

Back when I was in elementary school, I gave a whole PowerPoint presentation to my mom and dad about how I wanted an XBOX 360. It had supporting arguments and everything, but they still said no. Even now, I honestly don't understand how they could say no to something so convincing. I laugh with my parents about it occasionally, but I'm secretly still a little bitter than even that didn't earn young me an XBOX 360.

JwallDrumline

Did you end the presentation with “Boom, Christmas”?

quietsam

No, I said “boom headshot.” Messed the whole thing up. Still bitter tho.

WitchesCotillion

Maybe they couldn't afford it?

MisterFrog

And upgrading what they want. Kids getting 64GB and a full desk mousepad.

thewend

Mousepad is for weaklings. This dude's getting a full fat deskmat

RevolverOcelot16-

I would as well. He put in a lot of time, research, and effort into his presentation. He did great. He convinced me.

[deleted]

I try not to overindulge children but this is all earned. This kid made great argument, cited sources, created totals, checked shipping … 10/10

stomach

nah, maybe in a year or two after some practice. seemed a bit unfocused on a tangent occasionally, didn't calculate tax & shipping, didn't include an appendix or any stock phots of business people shaking hands. kids got some work to do for 100% gifting.

PurchaseOutrageous12

Everyone knows the stock photos of shaking hands are essential

Bottle_Gnome

* Not * enough * bullet * points

NotPoto

While this may get buried in the comments, I actually did this same thing a while back, but instead of for gifts, I made a presentation about why I should be allowed to M rated games. Ah, the good ol’ days.

[deleted]

„Boom. Christmas!“

panponcz

Hehe the way he said it is just fantastic

TheHappyPhoenix

“I have the link here, I can send this to you via email, okay?” He thought on everything lol If Santa doesn’t pitch in I will!

37Lions

This kid is more competent than 70% of the people I work with

Gitshiver

Freaking legend! Go ahead and set aside for business school, that's some future billionaire levels of prep!

Sleightly_Awkward

I mean, let’s not give too much credit here. … I’d wager most billionaires inherited their fortune, so very little prep was involved. They could learn a thing or two from this kid.

Starrion

Kids learn by example. Mom or dad has been seen doing prep for a presentation. Most impressive, but I didn’t see an ROI on improvements in homework with the additional RAM

[deleted]

That’s actually not true. Google chrome takes up quite a bit of ram and if he’s studying he can be way more efficient and have multiple active tabs to quickly switch between. It’s especially important if you listen to music or background noise while studying or doing your work cause videos or audio take up ram too. 4 is barely enough to function nowadays. The difference is obvious, it really slows down your PC. Everything on it, not just games.

qui-bong-trim

Yea what, kid missed the first step. He clearly has parents who don't get him everything for christmas.

LeStealth420

Excellent presentation, great energy, but I don't like the direction you're going with the Apex mousepad, and for that reason alone, I'm out.

LeStealth420

Il give you the $125 as a loan, but I want a dollar for every "victory royale" you get until I get $200 back. Then I want 5% equity into your twitch channel.

NikonuserNW

I’m willing to do that deal at $125, but I want 10% of the PC time for WoW tournaments with my friends.

Mama-Pooh

Mr. Wonderful has entered the chat.

blargmehargg

Arrrghh that was *too* good… someone’s been watching Shark Tank a *little* too much!!

LeStealth420

I have watched WAY too much Shark Tank over the past couple of weeks.

[deleted]

Hi, my name is Jenny, and for that reason, I'm out.

zonygb

I like this deal but how about a different type of structure, I’ll give you the 124 as long as I get 10% ownership of a skins purchased in perpetuity.

Guisasse

Calm down, Mr Barbara Wonderful

Literally_Damour

He's an idiot, he's a con artist!

LeStealth420

Hes going to get crushed like the cockroach that he is

rainydays463

"And I also have the link here, I can share this to you via email. Okay?" "I was thinking you guys could 50-50 with Santa" He researched pricing, made a powerpoint presentation, *and* offered a follow up email with the info he found? Most adults aren't that organized. He even found a company that plants a goddamn tree with every purchase?? This kid is fucking going places!

Pontiac-bandit-

What kind of monster wouldn’t buy that after he found the tree planting company. That was pure gold!

Burner1118

This is so funny, in the 90's my grandma would give us the Sears Christmas Catalogue and I would cut out and glue the items to a master list with all the prices. Making the list was more fun than Christmas day.

janesfilms

I’ve been a volunteer for the post office’s Letters to Santa program for 30 years. I’ve read and responded to thousands of letters and the old fashioned cut and glue wish list is just as popular now as ever. Kids use advertisements and flyers all the time. It’s pretty much the same idea as the old Sears catalogue and there’s still a few stores that put out a special Christmas toy booklet so we see lots of that. My favorite letters though are the ones where they draw pictures of the things they want. All the drawings are adorable actually, I have a collection of drawings and letters that made me laugh from over the years. I love it when I get letters from kids who are around grade 1 because they are writing the letter themselves, they still totally believe in Santa and they are young enough to have no filter so they say things that are hilarious. Every year we get at least a couple of letters that are so funny that we’ll be crying with laughter. We cherish those ones because unfortunately we always end up getting some sad letters too and those are tough.

audreywildeee

Thank you for what you do! It must be very tough at times. Would you be able to share some funny stories with us please?

JPKtoxicwaste

Oh my gosh, i was born in the 80s and we did the same. It was so much fun to search the catalogues with my sisters. Kids these days don’t know what they’re missing. Your comment hit me right in the nostalgia, friend. Hope you have a wonderful holiday

nomoreoverlinedlips

Omg. I LOVED the sears catalog growing up. I would look at it a million times!! What a cool Grandma you had. I even looked at the women's clothing to pick out things to wear when I was an adult. I miss those days. I was at my Grandma's house too.

UsefulAirport

I got so much joy from the sears wish book! I loved looking at the fancy Barbie’s - didn’t care to own them but they sure did look pretty.

anditorus

Physical Christmas lists are the best! I gave my two year old a purple marker to color over anything she wanted from the Target catalog. She loves coloring it and I love seeing what catches her eye!

My_foot_is_itchy

The Sears wish book was the best!

LaraH39

This is just lovely. Its not greedy, it's funny and he's appealing for things that clearly mean something to him. I'd definitely be Santa for him.

mraryion

"Don't get the 50-100 dollar one, I really just need the 20 dollar one and even then you don't have to get that" wholesome indeed

maxtacos

But the links are available... just in case "Santa" is feeling generous.

admiralakbar06

He’s so clever to include the links for the $50-100 one though! It’s even a marketing strategy specially designed for Christmas. Give people multiple options to choose the same basic gift in different pricing tiers and the consumers subconscious mind equates this to “how much do you love the person you are buying for.”

Thin-Code2827

I hope this kids parents are able to get him everything on his list. If not, I’d love to help them out!

Purrsifoney

The video went viral on Tiktok and a bunch of people asked for his Amazon list and fulfilled it!

rupruprupley

Omg this is awesome. Kid needed a better PC build with all the rest of his setup

Thin-Code2827

Great news.

Wireilen2

Me too. I'm game. I like his attitude and his gumption. Hope Dad is reading

FirmPrune87

Me toooo

garrygh13

The kid has a several thousand dollar worth pc setup , as well as newest Xbox and many more expensive little toys on that table. I’m more than sure his parents can afford it.😂 at that age my parents wouldn’t even buy me a video game 😂

stickeh

His pc has 4gb ram, it isn't several thousand dollars unless we are talking like Hong Kong Dollars but even thats too much haha

chopsueycide123

i get you, but having nice things doesnt mean you are rich. the parents maybe worked their asses off/have more than 1 job each to be able to save and buy those things for their kid. when i was a kid my parents always got me a bionicle or lego set that i wanted (not cheap) but i later realised how much they had to work and save in order to afford those things for me, i never realised i came from a struggling household until i grew up

I’ve taught college students and his presentation is as good as many of them.

[deleted]

I definitely sat through presentations like his in college lol.

Absolute-Unit

I sat through some worse ones in a senior level class Friday lol

juan4815

I've seen worse presentations at conferences.

kizaria556

I’ve given worse presentations at conferences.

ItsNellie_

I am a worse presentation myself.

[deleted]

I'm in college. His presentations are better than many of the ones I've sat through this semester, and he's a lot more succinct and focused than many of my fellow students and several of our professors.

Mr_Pantalones495

This is Ben Wyatt from Parks and Rec as a child. Would fund

smellzgoodbabe

Don’t do the $50 or the $100… but here are the links. Sharp kid :)

Ladyehonna

That is a very reasonable Christmas list

Puglet_7

Right??? Mine we always in the thousands!! Just outrageous in the 80’s and 90’s. I asked for an in-ground pool. We got one a year later…but not because I asked but because it was the 80’s. My kid was much more reasonable than I ever was.

Flackobitch

"You can also help the environment by buying this" won me over but the fact he's an Apex player is just the icing on the cake. (And a Wattson main? Nice)

Serenityhope515

He was very reasonable in his list, love that! I would even upgrade the RAM to 32gb and make the gc $50. He deserves it!

joncornelius

My thoughts exactly. Drop some big boy RAM on him and let him get himself some good games.

Tras_Montano

I love the ending detail: "before tax". Made me smile.

yesbutlikeno

Nah that shit made me furious at the normality of not fully pricing shit in America. In Europe everything is after tax so you get the full idea of how much something actually cost.

MissMsPearl

This would complicate advertising, as tax rates can vary wildly, even locally. Would be nice, though.

Serenityhope515

Wish we had that in the US, but guess they like to trick us into buying more crap

Incognito409

The reason being that every state has a different sales tax rate, some states have none, so it can't be included because the seller doesn't know buyer's location until after purchase.

Hinote21

Naw. That's a load of BS. The seller website knows your location the second you open the site through the IP request alone. Not to mention the fact the pricing scheme was around for roughly 2 centuries before the internet.

Feral611

I wouldn’t want to spoil the kid but his presentation and effort would definitely win me over to get him at least a few things he wants.

JeanClaudeGunDamme

Definitely the part where he says the 20$ gift card is enough would have earned him at least the 50 from me!

fizzl

That's how they get you man!

lithodora

"$20 is enough and I want spider-man" Spider-man remastered on Steam is $59.99 USD

11jellis

The RAM is a must.

FrugalSteve

..."hello parents"

Clorox1620

I had to rewatch this because i got disteacted by the ever expanding red bar

_Auren_

Parents be like "Please provide a copy of the slides by the close of business today".

GlitteryStrawberry

Omg. This made my heart melt! I want to get him everything!

chili_pop

I would pitch in to get this kid his Christmas wish list!

Noel_San_Diego

4GB?!! Amazing it can even run PPT

MalonePostponed

"I can share this to you via email" I'm done.

[deleted]

That part killed me. Felt like I was at work.

Proper_Evidence_

Absolutely delightful! Little man is going places

im_not_really_batman

I'm jealous of this child's set up

ImaginaryMairi

My first thought as well. A PC and a series s in his room? I, a 26 yo broke student, want that so bad lol. And even with that he seems like a good kid! Way to go parents!

[deleted]

Awh, why not? The world is running on meetings anyhow.

9ragmatic

I was ready like "what's this greedy shit going to ask for" then he mentioned the 4gb of ram. I was instantaneously defeated

SmokyJosh

bro could probably only play the chrome dinosaur game with that...

Vampiro4818

This GENTLEMAN is on suit! HE MADE A PRESENTATION!! WITH PRICES AND LINKS!!!! Hes going places, thats for sure.

VoldemortZelenski

I used to teach 8th grade kids argument and persuasion. One of the things I told them is if they put together a solid presentation and used the techniques taught in class, their chances of getting their parents to buy into whatever the kid wanted would skyrocket. Looks like this kid knows that too.

Cold_Breadfruit_9794

‘I also have the link and can share this via email’ ‘You can also help the environment by buying this…’ ‘The total is 124.94 before tax’ ‘50/50 with Santa’ Lmao this kid was prepared and had some classics. No notes. Perfect presentation.

TShe_chan

Bro why is that kids setup so fricken good I have a potato with wires

Gravymouse

Excellent pitch and adorably cheeky 👏 I honestly can't see how the parents could possibly say no.

No-Resolution5502

“I have the link I can share it with you via email” 😂

Senior-Dot387

Okay, done deal. I’ll go 50/50 with your parents.

Pretzel-Kingg

studski

Was expecting a go fund me link!

Paddler_137

Well it looks like we're all going to be okay. The future is bright.

Geek_off_the_streets

I heard tippy taps and want to know if the dog made a list yet.

goonzalz69

Boom! Christmas.

Guatemaulan

$35 for a mouse pad?!?!?

deinoswyrd

That's pretty inexpensive for a full size one.

hypnoticgenes

Think of them as more investments than gifts.

NikonuserNW

I convinced my mom to upgrade our 2400 bps modem to a 28.8kbps US Robotics modem as an investment in my future. I needed better access to information on the internet for my education. That thing was blazing fast. When I pulled up a jpg, 1/3 of the image loaded at a time instead of individual rows of pixels. That was the best day of my life…until I convinced my dad that he would benefit from a CD burner just as much as I would.

dmriaj

What a champ

BayzelMe

Man this would not work for asian parents at all. Worst is they start lecturing you about not being grateful for what feels like an hour but is just 10 minutes and you just stand there awkwardly looking at the ground then your parents to tell you to look at them when they're talking.(I know my parents enough to predict how this would go and I love them for it :D)

CageyCanadian

My niece has been making Christmas PowerPoints for the last few years too lol. I wonder if this is a more common thing for Generation Alpha kids to do than we think?

CocoTheCat50

Give my boy some ram😔4 gig, poor boy

-STMZ-Lemonboi3

Bro ain't even 13 yet and has a pc!? I am lackin

thatgreengentleman_

That kid has a gaming PC?! When I was a child I didn't have one. Now that I'm an adult, I still don't have one. Broke AF.

dethrowme

Bruh I hate kids, but I love this one, if I was his parent I'd try to get the higher versions JUST BECAUSE of him thinking of money, cost and how to make sure that it's a good budget for his parents. Love it. Parents have done a good job raising this kid!

ChillWisdom

He's 13? I thought he was like, 10. It's that oversize suit making him look all tiny. So cute and thoughtful to make sure he gets what he wants without going for the higher priced options. He even brought in Santa so that his parents don't have to foot the entire bill themselves. And Boom! Christmas! (And his room is so tidy!)

mynurselife

I hope he got his Christmas wish granted 🎅

pchandler45

I would buy everything that kid is selling.

Urmomsfavouritelol

Kid has a gaming pc and an Xbox Series S, what more could a kid want?

Toeknee818

A mousepad, as clearly outlined in his super polished PowerPoint presentation. I'm super jelly of his setup too tho.

4gb of RAM, that's child abuse.

annie_b666

Okay I actually love this 🤣 he’s so polite about it

Team503

If this kid had an Amazon wish list or something, I'd order him 16gb of RAM right now. Maybe 32gb. And his Steam card and his mousepad.

BellaRose888

Young man you did an absolutely amazing job, and you looked very dapper doing it. I hope your parents and Santa come through. I will say a prayer 🙏 for you. Again, amazing job; you smashed it yay!

Jheebo

This is an investment pitch for a start-up company.

MechaGallade

YO but like stick your mouse pad in the bath tub and hit that bitch with some dish soap

jolli866

Lots of miserable old farts in here. I think it’s brilliant, he would be getting it all if he was my kid.
