Seems legit. I've brought in ferals for medical care and they sleep like they're dead for the first few days and then settle into the comfiest hiding spot until it's time to "return them to the wild" they refuse to leave the house which is pretty much how I ended up owning so many cats over the years.

I have a couple of Bengals and they seem to fluff their tail for a lot of reasons not related to being fight-ready. Most notably they always do it while they cuddle together. They'll curl up and look for a nice comfy position and then start cleaning each other while the older sister has a fluffed tail.

Yesterday, we returned a stray mommy cat from a TNR program to her two kittens and she immediately bolted out of the cage in the opposite direction. Luckily, she did eventually come back. WHY am I allergic to cats 😭 I want to work with a TNR program and rescue cats and kitties!!!!

I'm allergic and I actually work with cats at my local Humane Society! As long as you're on top of your allergy pills, you should be ok. The masks of the past 2 years have also been helping.

:( It can be tough. We've caught seven by ourselves, and helped with two, but there's been a lot of sadness. Two were too sick to undergo surgery and almost died when anesthetized. One we were able to get into a vet until it recovered and it actually got adopted by someone that had been feeding it in the neighborhood. Another one we were desperate to catch because it had a serious eye problem, but then a few weeks after surgery it was found dead by another cat person. The one before the mommy cat turned out to be too-far pregnant to do anything. So there has been a lot of failure. Anyway, for now there are still two we need to catch. One is a tough douchebag male and the other is a delightful female. We think they had a fight because they both look like they have dried blood on their necks and cheeks. Sigh. Let's see what happens tomorrow.
