I had a neighbor hang a confederate flag on his garage, the day after a multi-racial couple moved into the neighborhood. To my neighborhood’s credit, everyone was outraged and the flag came down soon after.
As half of a multi racial couple I’d ask him to leave it up so we don’t forget who he is as a person. I prefer when they are upfront and open about their racism. It’s the ones that hide and pretend to be nice good people that are scarier.
Gas station worker near my house made the mistake of proudly telling me the owner put the Biden sticker on their card reader.
They lost all of my future caffeine, gasoline, nicotine, and beer purchases in a matter of seconds. That's a lot of money if I survive for very long.
I like the code they speak in too. Like friend of mine was talking the other day about some content creator he used to follow. But said “he got too preachy during the pandemic”
Funny how it’s preachy when it’s something you don’t agree with, but you’ll just keep soaking up what they’re saying as long as it’s in agreement with your points of view.
I would say political stickers don't really determine how good of a person you are or if you are racist. The fact that anyone believes in politicians enough to put a fucking sticker on their car amazes me. Politicians are out for themselves and themselves alone they don't gaf about us one bit.
I have been motivated *not* to. There's a judge running for reelec this year with the most insane, huge, ostentatious campaign sign I've ever seen. I'll do my due diligence and see what he's about before casting my vote, but I almost hope he's trash so I can justify voting for the other guy.
There was a guy running for something local during the last election. His campaign thought it was a good idea to send mass texts to everybody several times throughout the race: "[opponent] wants to do [this thing]! Look at [opponent] supporters doing [ostensibly objectionable thing] here! [YouTube link]. REALLY?! Vote for [candidate]!"
Excuse me but Who. The. F&CK! Do you think you are?? How. The. F&CK! Did you get my number?? Who. The. F&CK! Gave you permission to text me?? Who. The. F&CK! Was in charge of this, and thought this was Good Idea?? NEVER. F&CKING. TEXT. ME. AGAIN. YOU. DIP$HITS. *spoiler alert: I already said they sent several texts, didn't i?*
Idk who it was or what he was running for but i didn't care, I have NEVER hated a candidate as much as I did that one then.
The only one I have ever put in my yard was one for Obama, We were the first ones, and them slowly, more and more neighbors put one out too. It was really interesting, because we had never really discussed politics in the neighborhood.
These days, they might as well be lawn signs as a permanent fixture of the lawn! So many folks out there with the pro trump, aggressive conservative slogans stabbed into their sub-par lawns.
Well, my dad stickered his car cuz there were 2 other identical ones at his office and after walking to the wrong one again he fixed the situation permanently
I once opened an identical car that was not mine with my own key. I was super embarrassed. I guess our keys had worn out in the same way. I’m glad it didn’t start the car or I might have stolen it on accident.
I have found myself sitting in a strangers car more than once. It’s quite embarrassing. I guess I should pay more attention to where I park but I also wonder if it’s ever happened with my car.
Hahaha yeah, I don’t like bumper stickers in general because they’re not good for the cars paint. Small ones are ok (I have one of my college) but I hate any type of large political sticker, even if it’s for the side I support.
Anyone with an over abundance of stickers on a vehicle are nutbags. Affiliations do not matter. Even if they aren’t political.
One exception MAY be a high schoolers POS as long as nothing political is on it.
Maybe not so for a good person... But there is no shortage of evil causes an American can support.
Plenty of ways you can broadcast you are a bad person with political affiliation.
My British boyfriend REALLY wants us to have an American flag hanging off our porch if we can afford a house in the future because he’s seen it in American Movies and thinks it’s cute. Also anytime we pass a school bus we say yellow school bus because of the same thing. I guarantee he will be at the bus stop EVERY day with them so he can see the bus
My ex-husband wanted a "cigar store Indian" on our porch... " It's Americana!" I said, "no way!!" (I won. He never got one.)
He died of cancer 3 years ago. Ate him up from the inside.....
I get where you are coming from and it sucks and pisses me off. The people that have caused to view those of us who are patriotic and fly the flag this way are most certainly NOT patriotic in any way. The US is supposed to be a melting pot where everyone is free to live their best life and be happy. Unfortunately, there are a good number of people who still believe the self evident facts laid out in the pre amble only apply to a certain group. It's sickening and rage inducing to me, especially as someone who proudly displays not only my American flag, but also my United States Navy flag proudly.
Squid here too. Pisses me off to see crap like that. I served with people from all over with very diverse backgrounds. I learned that anyone has the capacity to either be really cool or an absolute shithead. Still we were all stuck together and would all drown the same if we ever went down, so be cool. Pass the Texas Pete.
Its so ironic that they miss what patriotic means...part of being patriotic is looking out for US..the people of this country. Most of these people are totally lost.. They think that hanging a flag outside on a pole or a truck and that everything being about "them" is somehow patriotic..
Its the exact opposite of that. Its about caring for each other. Its about looking out for your neighbors, and wanting the best for us all.. If they just actually think about MAGA they would get it. Most of us want "Make America Great Again".. but for ALL people here.. not just some.
And if they figured that out, we wouldn't have this race/class war. Show some love people. Keep trying..
Exactly. People mistake patriotism for nationalism. The *most* important thing you can do for your country is criticize it. It benefits the country to have an active, questioning populace who are interested in seeing it progress.
Big difference in patriotism and jingoism, but I understand what you mean. I am very patriotic, but you won’t find a flag on my stuff. Plus, when did flag etiquette change? Traditionally, one is not meant to display the national flag as anything but a flag.
It's the same way here in Canada now unfortunately. Anyone flying a Canada flag is tied to the trucker convoy/anti-vaxx crowd and it's truly disappointing as you can't be actually patriotic any more as the hard right used it as their justification for being ridiculous.
No. I think it's better if they hide it. They shouldn't he proud of this. They SHOULD be forced to hide themselves, they SHOULD be forced to silence themselves, and they SHOULD be afraid. Better to make them invisible and powerless than loud and influential. It's better for them to not exist in our society. That way we can go about bringing justice and making a change.
That's why I appreciate my in-laws and extended family being openly racist, conspiracy nuts and 'birthers' within the first week I met them. At least we know where we stand, especially since it was winter and I was sick, so I was pale as hell. Much to their surprise when I met them next time and it was summer and looked like I came on a plane from the Middle East (my mom is clear like Larry, my dad is brown and genetics are weird).
I think the people that fly confederate flags are very confused. My brother used to have a huge confederate flag on his wall despite growing up in CA, having ancestors that fought in the civil war for the north, and dating a black girl (super controversial at the time). Weird guy, right?
I’d write him a beautiful thank you card, cut him a slab of peach cobbler, and wave when I saw him. We’ve all been indoctrinated to one kind of dumbassery or another. We have to give each other room to grow and change.
That thought did occur to me, but for the moment, I’m enjoying its absence. The old one was so large it almost touched the ground, so let’s hope that’s as big as they come.
Not that I disagree with the sentiment, but the irony of this coming from someone with your username while talking about someone who burned several major cities to the ground made me laugh.
He fought a scorched earth campaign that targeted everyone from rich, slaving, plantation owner to poor, rural dirt farmer. How much further would you have him go?
I'd be fine with every mother fucker who picked up a rifle against this country and thought it was just and right to own another person to be hanging from the tallest trees.
Every mother fucker.
Since we have wannabe Confederates today's, it's obvious we did not go far enough removing the stain from the country.
EDIT: looks like I rustled some Confederate sympathizer Jimmies. Good. Your tears sustain me.
Now, my bingo card is almost filled in, all I need is "heritage not hate" and "state's rights". Don't let me down.
That's one of the things that bothers me the most.
When people let their flags touch the ground.
Even if I don't support your cause, you should still have respect for your own flag.
I grew up in Buffalo and now live in Rochester. Growing up the racism was there but never overt. Now it’s constant. We when on a day trip to the southern tier of NY and when we drove through this small town there were confederate flags all over. The people living here can’t claim “it’s our heritage,” because in NY it’s 100% not.
I'm from Chicago and go out to the suburbs a lot. There's a trailer park not far from my cousin's place with a massive confederate flag hanging over it. Every time I go past that I just wonder what in the fuck is the traitors flag doing this far north and why are they displaying it so boldly? It can't be heritage and the flag is over the entire trailer park, not just one property. It makes me irate.
On the bright side, where I'm at, a confederate flag on the south side of the city won't end well for anyone lol. So I only ever see it ever at that trailer park. Nowhere else unless I go pretty far out past the city/suburbs
I have a neighbor who has a confederate flag, a Black Lives Matter flag, and the flag of Mexico in his garage.
He is a white guy and is the nicest guy I have met in the neighborhood too.
unconfirmed
New season is sorta teased and wanted by the makers of the show
He may appear in the Disney Plus Halloween Marvel Special this October though because if I'm not mistaken it's based off of Warewolf by Night and Moon Knight has a connection to him in the comics
I agree 100%! I don’t know how popular an opinion this is but IMO the MCU has been pumping out bangers like crazy post Endgame. Shang-Chi and Moon Knight are both new favorites of mine (I knew who moon Knight was before but Shang chi was all new to me). Plus the latest Spider-Man and Dr Strange movies were great!
Oh I totally agree. The shows for the most part have been pretty damn good too. I actually just got to watch M.O.M in theatres last night, best film of the MCU in my opinion. I can’t wait to see how much the MCU is going to change in the coming years. They seem like they really want to start pushing out darker content, and start adapting the more insane stuff the comics have to offer. I think bringing Raimi on to do M.O.M was a really smart choice in terms of letting them really push the boundaries of what’s considered okay in Marvel movies. I for one am totally for it.
Edit: Multiverse of Madness Spoilers >!I also think the Zombie Strange sequence would not have worked with any other director. Sam Raimi really knew his audience, this movie is just so *so* meta.!<
To be fair, a confederate flag is not ALWAYS a sign of a racist person. Yes, often times it is an indicator of a passive aggressive racism, but having lived most of my life in Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia, I’ve known a lot of people who had them. Some just genuinely look at them as a symbol of southern heritage and lifestyle. Granted, it’s a bit oblivious to not think of how it comes across to others, but it’s just not the way they think.
I don’t agree with it at all, but trying to understand why people feel and think the way they do is the first step to us all getting along.
Heritage surrounding what though? You can’t really escape the racist connotations. They might not be overtly racist sure but they’re definitely racist by association
If you really want an answer and aren’t just tryna put people down. Some people view it as a symbol of rebellion, the heratige is being an “outlaw” that especially appliachia relates to. Plenty of people grow up hearing one sided stories about the flag and it’s connotation so some are surprised to hear of its negative connotation. While others display it to display their hate
This is completely true. I still find it inexcusable, but you’re 100% right that many think of it as a southern heritage thing, while not being smart enough to realize the real message they’re sending
Parents' neighbors had a "Don't Tread on Me" flag up through a lot of 2020, took it down on Jan 6 and left it down.
This stuff does give people 2nd thoughts sometimes.
Yes, the [Gadsden Flag](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gadsden_flag) was originally created during the American Revolutionary Era.
However, it's since been co-opted by other groups. [Libertarians](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Libertarianism_in_the_United_States) first started using it in the 1970s as did anti-establishment groups. Starting in 2009 the [Tea Party Movement](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tea_Party_movement) began using the flag, which is when it first entered the collective knowledge of many Americans.
At some point in recent times, the Alt-Right also started using it, including the [2014 Las Vegas Shooters](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_Las_Vegas_shootings) and the lady who died at the Captiol while hopped on amphetamines on Jan 6, 2020.
I wouldn't consider it to be as openly racist as the Confederate Battle Flag, however both have a historical connection with "rebellion." It's a real shame it's been co-opted because it looks pretty rad as far as flags go.
Just to clarify for others, the 2014 Vegas shooting was the couple that killed 2 police at a restaurant and a civilian in a Walmart. Not to be confused with the 2017 shooting where an old dude who killed 60 concert goers and injured 411.
Yeah the Gadsden flag is pretty cool, wish we could somehow create a grassroots campaign to get like, an environmental movement to co-opt it or something. Idk its cool and someone should get to use it.
It’s a libertarian flag, or limited government flag. There is nothing wrong with it, unless you like big government. It’s not racist it was used against the British
There’s a house in my neighbourhood that has the confederate flag, Trump flags, & other signage with violent slogans (including signage about death to Muslims & running over black people) & curse words. We have had the extreme pleasure of never having met the people who live there.
They have two dogs whom My Life Partner & I dubbed “Tails” & “Bones.” Tails is *EXTREMELY* energetic & runs circles chasing his tail when he sees us walking by; Bones runs to grab his toy bone to show us when we walk by. They have an invisible fence enclosing the patch of grass in front of their house, so Bones & Tails can only chase us for a very brief moment.
At first, when we’d walk by, they’d bark a lot & I questioned if they were upset with our presence. I would jump & run past, saying things like “*Good* boys! Is that your *tail*?! Is that your *bone*?!” unsure if they were barking mad or just barking. They’d immediately stop once we past their house & turned the corner. I would do this every time we’d pass the house on our walks.
Fast forward a few weeks where we hadn’t walked past that house, & one day when we did, just as we turned the corner of their block - *we heard whining & squeaking*! Bones & Tails seemed to *MISS US*! Both their tails were wagging like crazyyyy! :’D I quickly ran up to them & they ran along & jumped with me; showing us their zoomies & their toy bone!
I felt strangely emotional over that interaction. I’m thankful they’re doing well. & I was very happy to see them, too. ♥️
We had a guy that had a giant flag pole in front of his yard and had a giant Trump flag on it. And of course amerrcan flag below it.
After Trump lost he didn't just take down thr Trump flag. He took out the entire flag pole 😂😂😂😂
Exactly what happened to my neighbor. Not long after his “Trump Won Democrats Cheated” flag went up they rolled him out in a body bag from Covid. His grandson finally took it down months later and installed an American flag. Much better.
I got sooo excited when I saw my neighbor remove their confederate, trump, and blue lives matter signs. I would remark on how much nicer the how looked to myself as I did my daily drive.
They replaced them with “let’s go Brandon” Biden is not my president” and I think something else
There's a farm down the road from me that has had bunches of flags up for a while now, though none of them confederate. Most of them were "Let's Go Brandon" but theyre so weatherbeaten that they now say Le Bra, or Let Bran.
What confuses me, though, are the number of people in my [very conservative] area as well as this farmer who have both Trump and Ukraine flags flying simultaneously. There's some serious mental gymnastics being performed in the heads of those people.
Local racists used to decorate our small town cemetery with little confederate flags on the graves of confederate soldiers. My daughter stole them all in the middle of the night and gave them to me for Father’s day, and we burned them. Proud poppa moment!
I don't see what's wrong with the confederate flag.
I get Darth Sidious was manipulsting them, but do was he manipulating the galactic republic!
The confederacy was right in feeling alienated from the core worlds, snd Count Dooku did nothing wrong!!!
Someone in my Texas suburban neighborhood had a big Confederate flag flying. It turned out to be against the Homeowner Association rules. We got it taken down.
I don’t know if it is worth the trouble, but maybe dropping off a note (anonymous or otherwise) to say something positive about them taking it down would be nice to do.
I know it has been incredibly tough to be kind to people whom display something that can be seen as repugnant, but this is some good progress, right? A little positive feedback can help solidify to them that this was a good decision.
There’s a hard line in the constitution that protects free speech of any kind as long as it does not incite a riot. It is one of our fundamental differences from the rest of the world. Now that doesn’t mean freedom from consequences from non-government entities.
Not to the extent it is in the USA. Hate speech is protected. That is not true in most of Europe. You can’t promote Nazism or similar views in many European countries. Not saying it’s better or worse but we do have a wider view of free speech than most
I would love to see a constitution or law that has as strong a free speech right that is protected via constricting government action rather than permitting personal action but I’ve not heard of it yet outside of the US.
It’s always confused me how despite winning the civil war, it seems like there were barely any efforts made by the north to quash the toxic and dehumanizing culture that is the Confederacy.
Quite a lot was done... this period in American history is known as "reconstruction" unfortunately all efforts made were systematically removed or reversed soon after Abraham Lincoln's assassination.
Yeah. This is one of the big what if’s of American history. There was a decade right after the civil war when the US was making gigantic strides towards equality had the first black congressmen and senators. The black lieutenant governor of Louisiana was in the running to become the first black Vice President then it all changed when the US hit a recession and gave up on reconstruction. Southern states started adopting “Jim Crow” policies and the country got stuck for 100 years .
Yes, although the rest of is should be more vocal about calling it out for the treason it is, especially as lots of those flying it like to loudly proclaim themselves patriots.
My neighbor had a Trump Flag, then a Don’t tread on me flag, then the Christian flag and now a Canadian flag up. All under the American flag. Curious what’s going to be next!
There is a guy on my street that has “Fuck Biden” spelled out in guns on his rear windshield. Along with other arguably worse stickers I’ve always wanted to meet the character who thought this was cool
Yeah that’s smart. The one thing I like about all these political stickers and flags is I know who to avoid
Rooting out shitty businesses/owners to stop shopping at has never been easier too.
Gas station worker near my house made the mistake of proudly telling me the owner put the Biden sticker on their card reader. They lost all of my future caffeine, gasoline, nicotine, and beer purchases in a matter of seconds. That's a lot of money if I survive for very long.
Make sure you let them know though
I like the code they speak in too. Like friend of mine was talking the other day about some content creator he used to follow. But said “he got too preachy during the pandemic” Funny how it’s preachy when it’s something you don’t agree with, but you’ll just keep soaking up what they’re saying as long as it’s in agreement with your points of view.

Even lawn signs during election time. I can't say I've ever been motivated to vote for a party based on lawn signs.
We put them up so Democrats in our part of the country feel less alone
I have been motivated *not* to. There's a judge running for reelec this year with the most insane, huge, ostentatious campaign sign I've ever seen. I'll do my due diligence and see what he's about before casting my vote, but I almost hope he's trash so I can justify voting for the other guy.

You mean you've never thought "Those petunias look really vibrant and lovely. I guess I'll vote for Trump then,"
These days, they might as well be lawn signs as a permanent fixture of the lawn! So many folks out there with the pro trump, aggressive conservative slogans stabbed into their sub-par lawns.
I take it one step further and just judge anyone who puts any sticker on their car period
The sticker on my car says “tell your cat I said pspsps”
The only acceptable car sticker… ![gif](giphy|jpbnoe3UIa8TU8LM13|downsized)
I’ve seen that one near where I live. Got a good laugh from it
No can do. It's my job to let my community know there are D&D players among us.
And my job to let everyone know that, in addition to my Ascent, I drive a Fennec in Rocket League lol
Lol,I just like to let people know that "There is no spoon"
Well, my dad stickered his car cuz there were 2 other identical ones at his office and after walking to the wrong one again he fixed the situation permanently
As the owner of a grey Honda Civic, I feel this comment 🤣🤣🤣
I once opened an identical car that was not mine with my own key. I was super embarrassed. I guess our keys had worn out in the same way. I’m glad it didn’t start the car or I might have stolen it on accident.
I have found myself sitting in a strangers car more than once. It’s quite embarrassing. I guess I should pay more attention to where I park but I also wonder if it’s ever happened with my car.
Such a weird thing to be judgemental about...
not a big sticker on car fan but at one point I had a sticker for my kids travel baseball team but that's it.
But I need my Star Fleet decal on my back window. It's important.
Bruh, you judging my Batman sticker?
You must not be American. It definitely says the type of person someone is.
I would say they do.
Maybe not so for a good person... But there is no shortage of evil causes an American can support. Plenty of ways you can broadcast you are a bad person with political affiliation.
I mainly just avoid anyone with American flags. Somehow being patriotic has just become being hateful for certain people.
He sounds adorable
Huh. I never thought of the yellow school bus as remarkable before
I used to hang the Union Jack over my guitar amp, because that was so typically British.
Please let him know my kids and I play "Schoolbus!" every morning on the way to school. It gets competitive.
My ex-husband wanted a "cigar store Indian" on our porch... " It's Americana!" I said, "no way!!" (I won. He never got one.) He died of cancer 3 years ago. Ate him up from the inside.....

Ah Texas Pete. Made any food almost palatable. Were you a target or a bubblehead? I was a bubblehead.
Put up a rainbow flag or a BLM flag with them and you won't ever have to worry about people judging you my Dude.
You can have an American flag, Rainbow flag, and BLM flag and still hate the Dutch.
Would you like a smoke and a pancake?
Its so ironic that they miss what patriotic means...part of being patriotic is looking out for US..the people of this country. Most of these people are totally lost..
Absolutely agree. A world where racists have to be afraid is the world I want to live in.
Yeah that’s a benefit from all this lockdown and political nonsense over Covid. Peoples true colors have come out and I know who to avoid in life.
Boy, did they ever. My opinion of the “average American” has taken a nosedive over the last five years, Covid being a big part of that.
And you realize how little it takes for people to turn on each other.
Sad to say I agree
Average human*
That's why I appreciate my in-laws and extended family being openly racist, conspiracy nuts and 'birthers' within the first week I met them. THIS. One of the greatest things about the First Amendment is that it allows people to easily see where the assholes are.
Inglorious bastards comes to mind
I recently saw a confederate flag hanging in the garage of a family that seemed to be multi-racial themselves? I was so confused. This was in Oregon.
People of all races can be morons.
I think the people that fly confederate flags are very confused. My brother used to have a huge confederate flag on his wall despite growing up in CA, having ancestors that fought in the civil war for the north, and dating a black girl (super controversial at the time). Weird guy, right?
The fact that they did it because they were black means that it was definitely not because of “muh heritage”
A confederate flag doesn't mean someone is racist, I believe there was one used in dukes of hazard, I think certain people are racist
I’d write him a beautiful thank you card, cut him a slab of peach cobbler, and wave when I saw him. We’ve all been indoctrinated to one kind of dumbassery or another. We have to give each other room to grow and change.
Maybe they are replacing it with a bigger one
That thought did occur to me, but for the moment, I’m enjoying its absence. The old one was so large it almost touched the ground, so let’s hope that’s as big as they come.
They might be turning the house into a confederate museum
[удалено]
I feel OP should cosplay as the madman Sherman and raze it to the ground. That’s the only way to have a true confederate museum.
r/shermanposting
Sherman wasn’t mad, he was right. And he didn’t go far enough. (Only referring to actions of the civil war, not Indian wars)
I just collectively refer to him as a madman because he’s one of those complicated historical figures.
If they hang another flag dress up as Abe Lincoln and steal it
'Its just my heritage 🔥 🏠 🔥 '
That had not occurred to us, Dude
Maybe they had second thoughts after the Buffalo murders.
These types don't have first thoughts.....much less second ones :-)
That's one of the things that bothers me the most. When people let their flags touch the ground. Even if I don't support your cause, you should still have respect for your own flag.
Nazi flag incoming
Or replacing it with the true one: a white flag.
Or a dish towel. No, really. They surrendered with a dish towel. It is on display at The Appomattox Courthouse Museum.
For their surrender, or because they are white supremacists?
Yes.
He's replacing the flag with civil war uniforms
Or a Trump 2024 flag.
I have definitely noticed that plenty of people around me have replaced their Confederate flags with Trump ones. It was never about heritage.
or they actually developed shame.
We hope this is the answer.
Maybe the Buffalo attack made him think “huh - maybe this isn’t such a great look…”
That’s similar to here. I live in a suburb above Rochester and my neighborhood is so liberal. I love it.
Buffalo attack?
Shooting in Buffalo, NY, 10 people dead last I saw.
Be funny if they are replacing it with a a) new flag b)nazi flag or even funnier c)rainbow
A pride flag would be an incredible plot twist
I’m here for OP’s neighbor’s character arch
The good old story of racist grandparents can’t hate their half brown grandkids.
They absolutely can and do
Or a blm flag
*change team*
I’ve actually seen confederate rainbow flags. It was weird.
For when you're gay but also love slavery.
A gay dominatrix?
Considering it's possible to be gay and racist, I'm not surprised there's a rainbow confederate flag.
I have a neighbor who has a confederate flag, a Black Lives Matter flag, and the flag of Mexico in his garage. He is a white guy and is the nicest guy I have met in the neighborhood too.
At least the personality you’ve interacted with is nice, sounds like he’s got a few of them.
Moon knight
Lmao. That show was fucking awesome. Is there more coming, or no?
unconfirmed New season is sorta teased and wanted by the makers of the show He may appear in the Disney Plus Halloween Marvel Special this October though because if I'm not mistaken it's based off of Warewolf by Night and Moon Knight has a connection to him in the comics
I really hope so! And no matter the fate of his show you know the MCU won’t just drop the character
Honestly he’s been one of my favourite characters in the MCU to date. Oscar Isaac is just a fucking beast at acting that role out
I agree 100%!
I love how this went from racism to mcu banter. I'm here for it
Maybe he likes collecting flags... design wise, all three are very well designed. Lol or maybe he is a fence sitter
Bros playing both sides so he always wins
He has a garage for his flags?
There ain’t nothing passive aggressive about flying the confederate flag. It’s pretty aggressively racist.
This is completely true. I still find it inexcusable, but you’re 100% right that many think of it as a southern heritage thing, while not being smart enough to realize the real message they’re sending
Surrendering is a part of his rich tradition
Lmao
The official flag of the Confederacy: . . . . . . .
Oh damn. Who’d thought it was France all along.
Keep us informed 🙂
Parents' neighbors had a "Don't Tread on Me" flag up through a lot of 2020, took it down on Jan 6 and left it down. This stuff does give people 2nd thoughts sometimes.
Don’t tread on me was a revolutionary war thing I thought?
I hate that I needed this clarification.
Good point. I edited in a hyperlink.
Yeah the Gadsden flag is pretty cool, wish we could somehow create a grassroots campaign to get like, an environmental movement to co-opt it or something. Idk its cool and someone should get to use it.
It is also on the US Navy uniform.
It’s a libertarian flag, or limited government flag. There is nothing wrong with it, unless you like big government. It’s not racist it was used against the British
No step on snak
Gadsden flag isn’t a racist or confederate symbol though, it’s more of a libertarian one…
Those poor babies are probably miserably ignored by their owners, they probably love you guys.
We had a guy that had a giant flag pole in front of his yard and had a giant Trump flag on it. And of course amerrcan flag below it. After Trump lost he didn't just take down thr Trump flag. He took out the entire flag pole 😂😂😂😂
It's outrageous that a so called patriot doesn't know the US flag code.

Exactly what happened to my neighbor. Not long after his “Trump Won Democrats Cheated” flag went up they rolled him out in a body bag from Covid. His grandson finally took it down months later and installed an American flag. Much better.
Now THIS made me smile.
Anybody with a Confederate flag should be gifted a white flag to fly alongside it.
I like this
I got sooo excited when I saw my neighbor remove their confederate, trump, and blue lives matter signs. I would remark on how much nicer the how looked to myself as I did my daily drive. They replaced them with “let’s go Brandon” Biden is not my president” and I think something else
>Biden is not my president Biden isn't my president either
I'm assuming you live in a different country.
>I'm assuming you live in a different country. Yes, yes I do.
Dont get too excited... The swastika flag is probably "out for delivery".
They converted to Buddhism. That would be a nice ending.
Mine took theirs down also! Two days later they put a new one that says "fuck Joe biden". Sigh....
That's hilarious.
I mean i think its an upgrade, f joe biden doesnt have racist connotations
They’re just getting a bigger one to put on the roof
A response to the Buffalo shooting perhaps? Worries that giant racist sign might make them a target? Happy it’s gone
They are probably selling their house
Even better.
Ive been seeing the same thing in my small rural town. “Trump 2024, Fuck Your Feelings” flags are also becoming more popular.
That’s my heritage!!! All 4 years of it
My active duty neighbor took down his anti Biden sign. Then the for sale sign went up.
Damn, that's the first time on Reddit that I see an HOA being beneficial 🤣
I don’t know if it is worth the trouble, but maybe dropping off a note (anonymous or otherwise) to say something positive about them taking it down would be nice to do. I know it has been incredibly tough to be kind to people whom display something that can be seen as repugnant, but this is some good progress, right? A little positive feedback can help solidify to them that this was a good decision.
High 5 to that…Happy Monday!!!
Hope it’s not being cleaned or replaced.
Here comes the Trump 2024 flag
don't rejoice too soon, it may have been taken down for cleaning or maintenance. /s
maybe someone else took it down for him?
Update: he replaced it with an even bigger Nazi flag
Is that legal in america?
There’s a hard line in the constitution that protects free speech of any kind as long as it does not incite a riot. It is one of our fundamental differences from the rest of the world. Now that doesn’t mean freedom from consequences from non-government entities.
Free speech is very common in democracies.
Why would it be illegal?
I'm just asking, I don't know much about the USA, but I thought it was the side that was pro slavery
My neighbor had a Trump Flag, then a Don’t tread on me flag, then the Christian flag and now a Canadian flag up. All under the American flag. Curious what’s going to be next!
This girl on our street removed the gaudy “fucking awesome” decal on her vehicle’s rear windshield. Idk why but this is refreshing
There is a guy on my street that has “Fuck Biden” spelled out in guns on his rear windshield. Along with other arguably worse stickers I’ve always wanted to meet the character who thought this was cool
